유아기질과 부모양육태도가 유아의 공격성에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Temperament and Parenting Attitude on Child`s Aggression

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examined the influence of toddler`s aggressiveness on the temperament that served as an individual variable for toddler`s behavioral characteristics. Parenting attitude was the core element in a home environment that became the basis of toddler`s social environment. The parenting attitude could give a direct influence on toddler`s social adjustment. Therefore, the aims of this study were (1) to clarify causality among individual and environmental variables in toddlers` aggressiveness and (2) to offer specific information to teachers and parents who tried to be helpful to toddlers and their development in education or intervention programs. To achieve the objectives of the research, 25 teachers were targeted for 25 days at the daycare centers located in N city of Gyeonggi Province. The subjects were 259 toddlers in fully three years old and 259 parents. The questionnaire on toddler`s aggressiveness perceived by teachers was filled with the self-reported questionnaire on the temperament scale for toddlers and the parenting attitude. Results were summarized as followings. First, the type of fully 3-year-old toddlers in aggressive behaviors was the largest in the object attack. The verbal attack was the lowest. Parenting attitude was found as accepting child-rearing. Toddler`s temperament was adaptable. Second, toddler`s temperament and aggressive behavior had a positive correlation. There was a difference in aggressive-behavior types according to temperament. Also, the parenting attitude and toddlers` aggressive behavior showed high correlation. Third, toddlers` temperament and parenting attitude had high correlation with the interpersonal attack, the object attack, and the verbal attack.
