무도 수련자의 공격성이 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향 = Influence of Martial-Art Trainee`s Aggression on Adaptation of School Life

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the research was to analyze differences in adaptation of school life among elementary school students who train martial-arts, and to look into aggression and specific changes in adaptation of school life as a countermeasure against school violence. The research has chosen two-hundred fifty elementary school students between grade three to grade six who train in Hapkido and Taekwondo studios located in Gyeonggi-do using convenience sampling methodology. Among two-hundred fifty surveys collected, two-hundred thirty eight surveys, excluding twelve inadequate surveys, were selected as data for the final analysis. The results of the research were as follows. First, aggression in relation to grade, event, and the total period of training showed statistically significant difference. Meanwhile, after thorough verification process, no statistically significant difference was found among different sex. Second, there was statistically significant difference in school life adaptation in relation to the total period of training. However, no statistically significant difference on adaptation of school life between different sexes was found. Third, there was statistically significance correlation between the aggression of martial-art trainees and the adaptation of school life. Fourth, the result from multiple regression analysis showed that behavioral anger, one of the sub-factors of aggression, do have an influence over the learning attitude, also showed that hostility do have an influence over friendship. Therefore, the research was able to reveal that the reduction of aggression through martial-art training do have a positive influence on the adaptation of school life.
