      • Research on the Current Status of College Students of South Korea in Practising Chinese kung fu Lessons

        Purpose: To understand and master current situation about college students of South Korea in learning Chinese martial arts courses, as well as real problem and environment about Chinese martial arts courses launched in universities of South Korea, to raise corresponding counter measures and suggestions on development of kung fu lessons in universities of South Korea, to promote the development of Kung Fu sports in universities of South Korea , to serve Internationalization of the Chinese Kung Fu sports. Method: This paper was based on a questionnaire survey which was made in Yongin Univerisity.119 questionnaires were distributed and all of them were taken back, and lastly effective rate is 100%. The survey was for getting familiar with current situation about how college students of South Korean are learning Chinese martial arts. Deep interview was made to know better about teaching and training situation of specific Chinese martial arts between teachers and students. Besides, through learning Chinese martial arts, we’d love to figure out some questions. For example: whether college students of South Korea can deepen the understanding of China, Chinese culture and Chinese martial arts or not? Whether they are more willing to learn Chinese culture and Chinese martial arts, as well as how do colleges and universities of South Korean promote Chinese martial arts in a more efficient way? Result: Few universities in South Korea are currently establishing Chinese martial arts courses, The development of sports of South Korea have private characteristics and their own way , so being foreign sports project in South Korea, promoting can be certain difficult, but the trend is very good; students are satisfied with teacher``s attitude and approach of teaching in the learning process, and also are able to understand the Chinese culture through learning martial arts, but what students learned about Chinese culture is vague, which are not clear and concrete, not to mention identity of Chinese culture, which are related with the forms of promotion of martial arts and means; While comparing with some specific sports like South Korea Taekwondo, Chinese martial arts is a lack of skill and difficult to learn the complex movement; but for most of the students, they are willing to keep on learning Chinese martial arts if there are any opportunity in the future. Conclusion: As Chinese martial arts became a formal event in some international competitions like the Asian Games and World University Games, as well as program of the Olympic Games martial arts of China, more and more countries have gradually realized the importance of China martial arts project, so it’s an inevitable trend that Chinese martial arts are established in universities of South Korea; The contents of teaching should be adaptive to the psychology and demand of college students of South Korea when Chinese martial arts are taught in universities of South Korea. Here are some examples: the martial arts project should be more simple, interesting and practical, and also a variety of teaching methods should be adopt in the process of teaching, such as the combination of theory and practice, the combination of music and video, and collective creation and performance of teaching content. This improvement will enhance the learning enthusiasm of stu- dents and achieve better teaching effect. In addition; it’s also another way of promoting Chinese culture when Chinese martial arts are more widely established in universities of South Korea, So Chinese culture should be deeply expressed in the dissemination contents of Chinese martial arts, methods of teaching and process of teaching and practicing. The nature of China martial arts should be raised as culture of arts, and eventually college students of South Korea will deeply grasp new Chinese ideas of culture.

        연구논문 : 한국 대학과 중국인 유학생의 동상이몽; 서울과 지방 소재 사립대학 비교

        이 글은 글로벌 대학의 위계와 불균등한 유학이라는 맥락 속에서 중국인 유학생의 한국 유학 선택이 어떻게 한국 대학의 국제화전략과 맞물리는지를 밝힌다. 특히 한국대학 구조의 위계 속에서 다른 위치를 가진 서울의 B대학과 지방의 C대학 사례를 통해 중국인 유학생 유치 동학(dynamics)을 비교·분석한다. B대학의 경우 대학평가, C대학의 경우 대학재정이라는 유치 동기를 가진다. 두 대학은 글로벌 대학의 위계 속에서 불안정한 위치를 공유하면서 입학의 문턱을 낮춤으로써 중국인 유학생이 약간의 경제력만 되면 손쉽게 한국 유학을 선택할 수 있는 조건을 형성한다. 이에 따라 교육, 평가, 관리등에 다양한 문제가 제기되고 있지만 공론화되지 못하고 있다. 중국인 유학생은 한국어 습득, 한국 관련 관심, 학위취득이라는 주요 동기를 공유하지만, 대학 위계에 따라 한국 유학에 대해 다른 의미를 부여한다. B대학의 중국인 유학생들은 학교 브랜드에 대한 자부심을 가지지만 학업 능력이나 언어 면에서 한계를 느끼고, 상대적으로 낮은 가치를 지니는 한국 유학을 영어권 유학의 차선책으로 인식하였다. 위상이 낮은 C대학의 경우 적극적인 유치전략과 중도탈락을 방지하기 위한 임시방편적 평가를 하기에 중국에서 대학 입시에 실패하거나 전문대를 다니는 학생들이 한국 유학을 손쉬운 대학 진학과 학위취득이 가능한 대안으로 선택하였다. 이는 학업이 아닌 돈을 벌기 위한 목적을 가진 학생들이 유입되는 부작용을 낳기도 한다. 이 글은 한국 대학의 국제화전략으로서 중국인 유학생 유치와 중국인 유학생의 한국 유학 선택의 역동적인 관계를 함께 연구했다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다. This article explores how Korean universities` globalization strategies are articulated with Chinese students` choices of study in Korea in the transnational context of hierarchical global higher education and uneven flows of students who study abroad. I compare the dynamics of recruiting Chinese students at B university in Seoul and C university in a provincial city, each of which occupies a different location in the hierarchy of the Korean higher education system. B university recruits Chinese students to promote its own global competitiveness in relation to university evaluation, while C university actively recruits them motivated by financial gain. Because both universities admit Chinese students easily without many requests, Chinese students can choose study in Korea as an easy option, if economically feasible. Although there are several problems in relation to teaching, evaluating and managing Chinese students, these issues are not publicized. Chinese students come to study in Korea in order to learn Korean and get a bachelor`s degree. Chinese students in two universities, however, give study in Korea different meanings. Chinese students at B university feel pride in the brand value of B university, even while they lack the confidence of academic capacity. They also perceive study in Korea as a second best choice because it has less relative brandname value than do institutions of study in English-speaking countries. Because C university with its relatively low-rated reputation actively recruits Chinese students and adopt a stopgap measure for evaluation, Chinese students who failed to enter university or else entered a third-tier or junior college in China, perceive study in Korea as an easy second chance to get into college and get a bachelor`s degree. This study draws our attention to the importance of the globalization strategies of Korean universities, and deepens our understanding of the Chinese students who study in Korea.

        基于SWOT分析的韩国引进中国留学生发展战略研究 -以2000年至2020年期间赴韩留学中国留学生数据为基础

        According to the statistics of the Korea Educational Development Institute (KEDI) from2000 to2020, Chinese students have entered a period of rapid growth and stable development. Chinese students studying in Korea peaked in 2019, falling for the second consecutive year after 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and multiple factors. In fact, the growth rate of Chinese students in South Korea has been on a marked decline since 2017. The strategy and present situation of attracting Chinese students are important to the Korean international education industry, including Strength, Opportunities, Weakness and Threats. The SWOT analysis shows that the attraction of Chinese students is affected by many factors such as Sino-Korean relations, the policy of studying in Korea, the strategy of Korean universities, and the satisfaction of students' educational background. This paper analyzes the current situation of education exchange between Korea and China from 2000 to 2020, but there are still shortcomings in Korean language education, student management and unstable employment path. As the number of students studying in China has changed, Korea's international education industry and the government have introduced or adjusted their policies to cope with the change and have also developed markets for students from other countries. The Korean international education industry needs to make efforts to attract outstanding Chinese students, provide customized courses, establish a systematic management system for international students, and provide employment opportunities. Through the above-mentioned solutions, we hope that the education of foreign students in both countries will develop in a healthy way.

        한국과 중국의 대학생 의식 비교 : 자매결연 두 대학교 학생을 중심으로

        This paper presents a comparison of attitudes between Chinese and Korean university students. Compared with Korean students, on average Chinese students do not spend as much on leisure-related products or services. However expenditure on leisure related products increrases as family income increases. Similar to Korean students, most Chinese students own mobile phones. The percentages of ownership of other multimedia devices such as PC, MP3 players, and digital camera are lowerfor Chinese students than forKorean students. Chinese students as well as Korean students prospect their generation to be better off than their parents' generation. Especially, more than half of Chinese students believe their economy will catch up with Japanese economy in 30 years. As Chinese economy grows, both Chinese and Korean students do not expect the relationship between China and Japan to improve much. Chinese 'likeness' of Korean trend is very apparent but Korean 'likeness' of Chinese trend is very minor. It is also observed that higher percentage of Chinese students like Korea than that of Korean students like China. Sexual attitudes are very similar between the two groups. They are relatively affirmative on sexual relations before marriage. Chinese students think human network is essential for getting jobs. Korean students think English proficency is the most important factor. However, Chinese students spend longer hours in practicing English and reading books than Korean students. Korean students drink alcohol much more frequently than Chinese students. Also, therate of smoking is much higher for Korean students than Chinese students. No female Chinese student said she was a smoker.

        중국인 유학생과 한국 대학생과의 진로관련 적응에 관한 비교 연구-진로준비행동과 진로정체감, 진로태도성숙을 중심으로-

        There are an increasing number of Chinese students who come to Korea for higher education. This study explored those Chinese students' motivation for studying abroad and their career-related adaptation. Specifically, the current study qualitatively analyzed the expectation of Chinese students about their career and the difficulties they experience in career preparation at college. In addition, their career-preparation behavior, sense of career identity, and career attitude maturity were compared with those of Korean students using a survey method. Participants in the survey were 104 Chinese students and 129 Korean students enrolled at a university in Chungcheong province of Korea. Qualitative interviews were conducted with 14 Chinese students. The results are as follows. First, in-depth interviews revealed that Chinese students' career-related motives for studying abroad in Korea were to pursue the majors they want, to get better job opportunities, to learn Korean language, and etc. Third, the difficulties experienced by Chinese students in their career preparation were low Korean language proficiency, lack of support by college, and rarity of career counseling opportunities. Third, Korean students showed significantly higher scores than Chinese students in all of career-preparatory behaviors, sense of career identity, and career attitude maturity. These results implied that Chinese students in Korea experienced many difficulties with career preparation although they came to Korea for studying abroad with clear goals and reasons. In particular, proper counseling for those students was needed about career preparation behavior, sense of career identity, and career attitude maturity. 본 연구는 해마다 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 중국인 유학생들의 유학 동기 및 진로와 관련된 적응 문제를 파악해 보고자 하였다. 구체적으로 진로와 관련하여 중국인 유학생들은 어떠한 기대를 갖고 있으며 이들이 재학 중 진로준비를 할 때 어려운 점은 무엇인지 질적 연구방법을 이용하여 탐색해 보았다. 또한 한국 학생들과 비교하여 진로준비행동, 진로정체감, 진로태도성숙에 있어서 어떠한 차이가 있는지 알아보았다. 최종적으로 설문 조사를 참여한 학생들은 충남의 C 대학에 유학중인 중국인 학생 104명과 한국학생 129명이었다. 질적 연구에 참여한 중국인 유학생들은 모두 14명이었다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 심층 면담 결과 중국인 유학생들의 유학 동기 중 진로와 관련된 것은 원하는 전공 공부를 하기 위해서, 유학이 취업에 유리하기 때문에, 외국어 습득 등이었다. 둘째, 중국인 유학생들이 진로준비와 관련하여 어렵다고 진술한 것들은 한국어 능력 부족, 대학의 지원 부족, 진로 상담 기회가 없음 등이었다. 셋째, 진로준비행동, 진로정체감, 진로태도성숙에 있어서 모두 한국 학생들이 중국인 유학생들 보다 점수가 유의미하게 높았다. 이와 같은 결과는 중국인 유학생들이 확고한 목표와 취업의 이점 때문에 입학했으나, 대학의 지원 부족과 언어 문제 등으로 제대로 된 진로준비를 하지 못해 어려움을 겪고 있음을 나타내 주는 결과라고 할 수 있다. 특히 한국학생들과 비교해 볼 때 진로준비행동, 진로정체감 및 진로태도성숙 등이 낮아 이에 대한 적절한 지도가 필요할 것으로 보인다.

        한국대학생과 조선족 및 한족 중국유학생간의 스트레스 대처 방식 비교연구

        본 연구의 목적은 대학에 재학 중인 한국 대학생들과 조선족 및 한족 중국 유학생들간의 스트레스 대처 방식의 차이를 검증해 보고 이를 토대로 대학생들을 위한 정신건강 서비스의 효과적인 제공에 대한 시사점을 확인하는 것이다. 이를 검증하기 위해 본 연구에서는 충남권 4년제 대학에 재학 중인 한국인 대학생, 조선족 및 한족 중국 유학생 383명을 대상으로 스트레스 대처방식 설문지를 실시하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 한국 대학생들이 중국 유학생들에 비해 스트레스 상황에서 적극적 대처 방식을 덜 사용하고, 소극적 대처 방식 중에서 소망적 사고를 통한 대처방식을 많이 사용하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 중국 유학생들의 경우 적극적 대처 방식을 더 많이 사용하였고, 적극적 대처 방식 중에서도 문제중심 대처 방식을 많이 사용하였다. 한편 재한 중국 유학생도 조선족 유학생과 한족 유학생 간에는 스트레스 대처방식에 있어 차이가 있었는데 조선족 유학생들은 한국 대학생들과 마찬가지로 한족 유학생들에 비해 소극적 대처 방식 중 하나인 소망적 사고를 통한 대처를 많이 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이후 이러한 연구결과가 우리나라 대학생들과 재한 중국 유학생들의 스트레스 관리를 위한 상담개입에 대해 시사하는 바를 논의하였다. The purpose of this study was to examine whether there were differences in stress coping style between Korean college students and Chinese international students studying in South Korea. A paper-pencil survey was conducted with a sample of 383 Korean and Chinese international students. Results showed that Korean students, as compared with Chinese international students, used active coping less frequently, whereas they tended to resort to wishful thinking more frequently than did Chinese counterparts. On the other hand, Chinese students reported resorting to active coping more frequently, especially problem-oriented coping. Meanwhile, significant differences were found between Korean-Chinese and Chinese students with regard to coping style. Like Korean students, Korean-Chinese students tended to use wishiful thinking more frequently than did Chinese students. Implications of the current findings and future directions for research are discussed.

        한국 대학생과 재한 중국 대학생의 화폐에 대한 태도 및 재무관리행동 비교 연구

        한국에 유학 중인 중국 대학생이 증가하고 있는 가운데 본 연구는 이들을 대상으로 하여 화폐에 대한 태도와 재무관리행동 수준을 살펴보고 재무관리행동에 영향을 미치는 변수를 파악하며, 이를 한국 대학생들과 비교 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 결과를 요약하면 첫째, 화폐에 대한 태도에 있어서 과시적 수단, 불안의 근원, 감정충족의 도구, 인색한 태도는 한국 대학생과 재한 중국 대학생 간에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 재무관리행동 중 수입ㆍ지출관리행동 영역에서만 한국 대학생과 재한 중국 대학생 간에 유의한 차이를 보여, 재한 중국 대학생에 비해 한국 대학생이 수입ㆍ지출관리행동을 잘 수행하고 있었다. 셋째, 한국 대학생과 재한 중국 대학생의 수입ㆍ지출관리행동에 영향을 미치는 변수를 살펴보면, 한국 대학생의 경우, 성공의 수단, 인색한 태도이었으며, 재한 중국 대학생의 경우 성공의 수단, 과시적 수단, 인색한 태도, 그리고 재무관리에 대한 지식이었다. 한국 대학생의 재무관리 의사결정행동에 유의하게 영향을 미치는 변수는 인색한 태도와 재무관리에 대한 지식인 반면, 재한 중국 대학생의 재무관리 의사결정행동에는 연령과 인색한 태도가 유의하였다. 그리고 한국 대학생의 저축ㆍ투자행동에는 인색한 태도가, 재한 중국 대학생의 저축ㆍ투자행동에는 감정충족의 도구와 인색한 태도가 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. This study examined the levels of attitude toward money and financial management behavior of Chinese university students in Korea, found out the factors affecting the financial management behavior, and compared them with Korean university students. There were significant differences in ostentatious means, source of anxiety, tool for emotional fulfillment, and thrifty attitude between Korean and Chinese students in Korea. Additionally, Korean students showed better managing income and spending than Chinese students in Korea. On the other hand, the significant factors affecting managing income and spending were measure of success, and thrifty attitude for Korean students, while measure of success, ostentatious means, thrifty attitude, and knowledge about financial management for Chinese students in Korea. Thrifty attitude and knowledge about financial management were factors affecting financial decision-making for Korean students, and age and thrifty attitude for Chinese students in Korea. Finally, thrifty attitude influenced saving and investment behavior for Korean students, whereas tool for emotional fulfillment and thrifty attitude were found as significant factors for Chinese students in Korea.

        재한 중국인 유학생의 세계관에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 재한 중국인 유학생들의 세계관에 관한 연구이다. 현재 한국에 는 797,000 명의 중국인들이 거주하고 있으며, 그 중 유학생의 수가 65,200 명에 달하고 있다. 중국선교에 큰 관심을 갖고 있는 한국교회는 중국인 유학 생에 대해 다양한 형태의 선교적 접근을 하고 있을 뿐만 아니라, 이미 교회 안에서 예배의 형태로 모임을 진행하고 있기도 하다. 그러나 선교의 대상인 중국인 유학생들에 대한 연구, 특히 객관적인 통계자료에 근거한 연구가 미흡한 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 중국인 유학생들의 세계관에 대하여 양적 연구 방법을 사용하여 통계적으로 처리하고 분석하였다. 연구의 결과로 중국인 유학생 들의 세계관은 전반적으로 첫째, 중국의 전통적 가치체계, 둘째, 도교와 불교 그리고 유교의 종교적 가치체계, 셋째, 진화론과 마르크스주의 사상체계, 넷 째, 현대사조의 영향권 안에 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 중국인 유 학생들에게 선교적 접근을 하는 사람이든, 이미 교회에서 이들과 함께 예배 하며 제자훈련을 하는 사람이든 모두가 숙지해야 하는 사항이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 결과를 토대로 중국인 유학생들을 효과적으로 섬기고, 교회 안의 있는 이들이 기독교 세계관을 갖는데 필요한 몇 가지를 제안하며 결론지었다. 아울러서 본 연구자는 중국인 유학생들이 기독교 세계관을 형성하는 일에 도움이 되는 것과 방해가 되는 것들을 선별하고, 제거할 것 들을 제거하는 일을 위해 향후 질적 연구가 이어지기를 기대한다. This study is about the world-view of International Students from China studying in Korea. There are 797,000 of Chinese resides in Korea, and the number of Chinese student is around 65,200. Korean Churches have great interest in China Mission not only already have started missional approach, but also have gatherings in a form of worship. But there are insufficient studies of these Chinese students whom are the target of mission, especially the studies based on statistical data. Therefore, this study did statistical analysis on the world-view of Chinese students using quantitative analysis method. As the result, the world-view of Chinese students are mainly under the influence of the following four areas : first, traditional Chinese value system; second, religious value system of Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism; third, a system of thought combined evolution theory and marxism; fourth, contemporary zeitgeist. This result is highly recommended to be shared among the people who do missional approach towards Chinese student or the ones who are already worshiping together and are doing discipleship-training together. This study concludes with a few suggestions to serve Chinese students effectively and assist the Chinese students in church to adopt a Christian world-view based on the research result. I, the researcher, expects to continue the qualitative research to sort out what helps or hinders Chinese students to form a Christian world-view, and eliminate those needed to be eliminated.

      • 중국학생 한국유학 출국 전·후 문제점 및 해결방안에 관한 연구

        Based on the experience of Chinese Students who have come to Korea to study abroad and the prior study of Chinese Students in Korea, This Study tries to find out how difficult the Chinese Students were in Korea and how they solved these difficulties. The research has observed the Chinese Students in School the researcher belongs to, and it is easy to observe them everyday. Prior Studies of Chinese students' study in Korea showed that the Chinese students still have troubles which happen not after they came to Korea, but even before they left China. In the hope of Chinese students who choose to study in Korea will make sufficient preparations before leaving the country and feel less difficulties after leaving China, This study is aimed at finding out the most efficient preliminary education and how they prepare for studying abroad. Also, the goal is to study how newly enrolled Chinese Students can better adjust to college in the point of view of personal and college.

        스포츠를 통한 중국인 유학생들의 문화적응에 관한 연구

        Based on Berry"s cultural adaptation (2005), this study aims to define the role of sports in Chinese students" cultural adaptation in Korea. To that end, three research questions were set up. First, what role do sports play in Chinese students" cultural adaptation in Korea? Second, how is the role of sports which led to Chinese students" cultural adaptation in Korea? Third, how is the role of sports in Chinese students" cultural adaptation in Korea? For the research methodology, folk research method, of qualitative research methods, was chosen. This study surveyed and analyzed seven Chinese students who sojourned in South Korea for more than three years and who had experience in sports activities for their cultural adaptation, thus reaching the following conclusion. First, for the sports7 role in Chinese students" cultural adaptation, selective acceptance was found in cultural individuality; understanding of cultural difference behavioral passivity and activities for health were discovered in behavioral changes; and difference within sports was discovered in cultural adaptation stress. Second, the role of sports, resulting from cultural adaptation, caused no cultural changes to individuals. Stress release was discovered in psychological adaptation; and health maintenance activities and a tool of meeting were discovered in social adaptation. Third, sports for achieving individuals" purposes were discovered in the role of sports in Chinese students" cultural adaptation.
