        Young male rats were fed 7.5% and 5% protein provided by dried egg white solids supplemented with zinc (0.50, or 100ppm) and/or Vitamin B-6(1, 5 or 100ppm) for four weeks. All animals receiving the non-zinc supplemented diets exhibited poor growth, while 50ppm of zinc supplement resulted in marked improvement in weight gain. Increases in weight gains associated with adquate protein (15%) ocurcred only when the diet contained at least 50ppm of zinc, while increases in growth associated with vitamin B-6 supplements occurred only when the protein was marginal (7.5%). Increases in dietary zinc were associated with decreases in liver zinc deposition. Increases in dietary vitamin B-6 resulted in increased liver copper and zinc levevels, but had no apparent effect on liver iron deposition. The results suggest a zinc-vitamin B-6 interaction which has an influence on the apparent utilization dietary protein and on copper and zinc status in young rats.

      • 유치원 부모교육 프로그램이 어머니의 자녀양육태도 변화에 미치는 효과

        The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of parent education program in kindergarten on the child-rearing attitudes of mothers. The subjects of this study are 20 mothers from one kindergarten located in Incheon City. The subjects participated in parent education program seven times, from May 31 to July 12, 2002. The parent education program used in this research is based on Parent Effect Training(PET), Systematic Training Effective Parenting (STEP), and training model made by Lee Hyung Deuk(1982). For each session of parent education program, lecture, activity, role-play, sharing experience, homework (writing experiences) were used. To measure the child-rearing attitude of mothers, Schaefer' MBRI (Maternal Behavior Research Instrument) and the scale made by Lee Won Young (1983) were used. For the analysis of collected data, Cronbach's alpha and paired t-test are used. The followings are the results of this study: 1) There is a change in the loving attitudes of mothers after participating in parent education program. Parent education program made mothers increase loving attitudes toward their children. 2) There is a change in the rejecting altitudes of mothers after participating in parent education program. Parent education program made mothers increase rejecting attitudes toward their children. 3) There is a change in the self-disciplinary attitudes of mothers after participating in parent education program. Parent education program made mothers increase self-disciplinary attitudes toward their children. 4) There is a change in the controlling attitudes of mothers after participating In parent education program. Parent education program made mothers decrease controlling attitudes toward their children. In conclusion, the child-rearing attitudes of mothers have changed more positively after participating in parent education program in kindergarten.

        This study concerns about the character of costume of Islam through religious factor. First, two-piece style, which is divided into upper garment and pants, is showed. This is for Islamic seated custom and protection of body from an arid climate of desert. Upper garment of tunic style is had no-collar and a little cut at front center and Pants is formed widely. Second, Man's hat is turban or torque and Woman's is the style that is hided her face and body in cloth. This is for according to <Koran> observance of moral principle and protection of body from desert climate. Third, the embroidery of ancient Persia and European items as shalite, piishisine, gilet and bolero are used by Muslim. This is for ancient Persia's culture is equal to Iran's ancient culture and Iran and Turkey are near to Europe continent.

      • 유아 수영복의 치수체계 개발에 관한 기초 연구

        This study is to suggest a feasible sizing system of infants' swim-wears. The basic body dimensions were selected after surveying the swimsuit manufacturers. The control dimensions and the secondary dimensions were taken from the 1997 National Anthropometric Survey data for the completion of the sizing system. In the new sizing system, the height is a control dimension, and hip size was selected as a secondary dimension for boys, and bust and hip size were selected as secondary dimensions for girls. While in the current market swimsuit sizes were generally measured by the hip size for boys, and the bust and hip size for girls, the height was selected in this study as the control dimension because the height is well recognized by the customers and the KS standards specify the height to be the control dimension for baby swim wear.

      • 일반가정과 시설기관 유아의 기질과 사회적 능력 비교 연구

        The purpose of this study was to investigate differences in the relationships between temperament and social competence of two groups of children. One subject group was 377 children from intact families, and the other subject group was 112 children from intact families. Both groups of children, living in Seoul and in the suburbs of seoul area, are from three to five years old. The results were as follows: First, there were significant differences in adaptability, reactivity, and emotionality between the children from intact families and the children from the child welfare institutions. Second, there were significant differences in initiation, ability, and sociability between the children from intact families and the children from the child welfare institutions. Third, there were significant relationships between temperament and social competence of the children from intact families and the children from child welfare institutions.

      • 유아의 스트레스에 영향을 미치는 변인에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships of child stress with child's temperament, mother's marital satisfaction, and family economic strain. The subjects were 314 mothers of children in three to five years of age. Who were enrolled in the day care centars or Kindergartens an Inchon. The results were as follows: First, child's temperament was significantly related to child stress. Second, mother's marital satisfaction was significantly related to child stress. Third, family economic strain was significantly related to child stress. Finally, mother's marital satisfaction and child's temperament were significant variables to affect child stress. Mother's marital satisfaction was the most influential among three predicting variables.

      • 根莖澱粉의 調理性에 關한 硏究 : -生薑澱粉의 性狀을 中心으로- -Chiefly Centered on the Properties of Gelatinization of Ginger Starch-

        Starch has been regarded as one of the useful foods of mankind, and in Chinese foods main ingregients of sauce have been made from the unique viscosity of gelatinized starch. Here, several kinds of starches of rhizome such as ginger starch, potato starch, sweetpotato starch and arrowroot, were chosen carefully. The experiments and comparisons were carried out to investigate whether they were suitable for sauce ingregients or not. The methods used in the experiments were as follows; (1) measuring and comparing the viscosity of each starch by means of a Brabender Amylograhp -6% thich starch liquid-and measuring The change of viscosity by adding sugarm, salt and vinegar to each starch; (2) measuring the texture of gelatine by using a Rheo-meter-18% thick starch liquid; (3) measuring melting degrees of starch granules by using an Auto melt-pointer; (4) comparing colors of gelatinized starches by using a Digital color-meter of Richard S. Hunter. The results are summarized as follows ; (1) Ginger starch begins to gelatinize at 86.5℃. The viscosity of ginger starch is increased in proportion to adedd sugar, and decreased in proportion to added acid. (2) Gelatine of ginger starch is apt to harden due to its own poor preservation ability. (3) The shapes of ginger starch granules are similiar to those of potato starch granules; they are oval. But diameter of potato starch granule is two or three times as long as that of ginger starch granule. (4) Ginger starch begins to expand at 64℃ and to gelatinize slowly, while potato starch to melt rapidly at 64℃. (5) Gelatines of patato starch, arrowroot and ginger starch are clean and trans-parentness and gelatine of sweetpotato starch has a turbid color.

      • 主婦中心으로 본 傳統農家의 變化過程

        The purpose of this study was to find out the physical change of the farm house and its anbang(the main room:master bed room), to identify the behavioral changes:activity and awareness of anbang, and to clarify the relationship between changes of housing life-stly in the anbang space. Bibliographical studies, cultural approaches and field survey method with questionnaire were used to collect data from 55 residents of Anwhari and Yangkyori in Pyong Teck Koon. Tables and drawings were made to analyze the data. The major findings were 1) the heating system of the ondol anbang. The most popular type is the double heating system(new pipes added to the traditional ondol). This combination ondol system brought some conviniences to the farmers. This change in structure of the ondol were of four types:Complete change in style, enlarged-completely changed style, partially changed style, enlarged-partially changed style. 2) from 1960 through 1970 lighting of the anbang changed form oil lamp to electricity. 3) the finishing material of the anbang floor changed from traditional oil paper and staw mats to vinyl flooring. 4) Traditional furniture and small decor items are gradually disappearing and are being replaced by modern items. 5) The awareness and actual use of the ondol anbang has not much changed from the multi-functional and sacred space of daily living:wich are the characteristics of Korean traditional ondol anbang. The biggest consistency in the ondol anbang is the heatig system of the floor, which is the charactistic of ondol culture in Korea. This system will continue regradless of time and place in Korea.
