      • 相對林地의 開發利用에 關한 硏究

        Chollanamndo is an agricultural region. About 22 percent of the national grain is produced in this region, 59 percent of the people. compared with a 36 percent national average, engages in agriculture and 47 percent of the gross provincial product. comparing 25 percent of the national average. comes farm agriculture. Nevertheless, the level of farm income per farm js lower than the national average. The expansion of arable land per farm is very important for the farms in this region. In this regard. the author is going to give special attention first. to find how much avaiIable hillside land the province has ; second. to estimate the expected effects .of expansion of land per farm and increase in food production. as well as farm income per farrn in case of the-available hillside lands which are utilized for agricultural use; third to search for the reasons why such a good available resource has not been utilized ; and fourth, to generalize the acceptable policy measures for hillside land utilization. The findings of the study wiIl be summarized as foIlows. 1. In Chollanamdo , there are about 200,500 jungbo of available hillside land, of which about 51,000 jungbo is considered to be available for agricultural uses without great rifficulties. 2. Supposing these lands are brought into agricultural use, the acreage per ’farm wiIl be expanded from the present level of 8.<< danbo to 9.63 - danbo, accounting for about a 14.1 percent increase in acreage. The barley production. the only. one crop .considered, will be increasedto 63,950 ~ annnually, valued at about 6.6 billion won of farm income for Chollanamdo and 17,000 won per farm. Ofcourse, if the crops care for are differed by slopes of lands the expectation of increase iñ income would be much greater. 3. The study shows the main reasons for lower utilization of available hilIside lands are not the physical disadvantages of 뼈 land itself, but because of institutional restrictions. lack of will and negligence in policies for land use. 4. As a consepuence. the author suggests that the government .as well as. the farmer should recognize the importance and the possibilities of better utilization of hillside land. and pay for efforts to achieve its maximum uses.

      • 農道全南 農業의 進路에 關한 硏究

        Korean agricultural problem seems to be result from relative stagnation of growth in developing economic process rather than it comes from weakness in agricultural structure itself. So Korean people think serious Korean agricultural problem of a destiny. Futhermore confronting about agricultural problem which is more difficult digresses from solving agricultural problem itself reasonably and makes with political issue. In this point of view this paper makes several counterproposal about Korean agriculture's future by reexamining and analyzing characteristics and problems of Korean agriculture, including Chonnam agriculture. Especially, between the process of high industrialization and the opening process of agriculture market, instability of agricultural price and this causes instability of farm income and again, this causes instability of agricultural product supply and at last it makes agricultural problems repeat. Even this phenomenon causes low production, cost push, low quality, the weakness of international competitive power and inefficient use in limited resources, etc. Therefore the basic way which solves essentially all this problems is raising commercial farmer, improving agricultural structure which can gives income incentives to farmer constantly and developing regional agriculture through regional specialization of farming. Agricultural specialization which follows regional characteristics has a relative advantage not only increasing production, producing high quality products and cost down but also position of regional agriculture in among regions' competitions, international competitive power and inefficient use in limited resources, etc. Therefore the basic way which solves essentially all this problems is raising commercial farmer, improving agricultural structure which can gives income incentives to farmer constantly and developing regional agriculture 소개호 regional specialization of farming. Agricultural specialization which follows regional characteristics has a relative advantage not only increasing production, producing high quality products and cost down but also position of regional agriculture in among regions' competitions, international competitions. As a result, the solution of agricultural problem is a stablization in agricultural supply by raising regional agriculture stably and that stablizes price of agricultural products at a low level and that makes farm income stable and that makes agricultural resources more efficient.

      • 湖南地域 竹細工藝 産業에 관한 分析

        Damyang area is a model case in this thesis. Bamboo- ware industry is a specialized one in Damyang area as a side-line of her inhabitants, and this industry has contributed to the increase of their income, but especially during the period of the first and second five-year economic development plans. due to the unequilibrium economic growth policy. ìhe disparity between agriculture and technical industry has been seriously enlarged for several years. which has brought relative decrease of farming income in comparison with that derived from technical industry. Because the situations mentioned above were very serious, the government worked out some projects for farmers and fishermen as the counter-measures. which were a great help to them. and one of the major projects was to foster bamboo-ware industry in Damyang, as has contributed to increasing their monthly income. It may be fairly said that only bamboo-ware industry holds the key to earning foreign currency in Damyang area. The backgrounds for the development of bamboo industry in Damyang are the folIowings: First. this area is abundant in bamboo materials as α1e of main resources for bamboo- ware industry. Second, during farmer’s leisure season, low-priced labor power is available. Third, the inhabitants have unique techniques for bamboo products, and the tradition for the industry is very old. Finally, besides domestic consumer markets for the products in Gwangju. Busan, and Daegu etc, there are foreign markets for them. in spite of the fact that bamboo are industry in this area is highly evaIuated, it has far failed to make impressive strides in tþ.is field. and now is at a low ebb. and export to world markets is in a poor way. The reasons for the decline of bamboo industry in Damyang are such as out-of-date techniques. lack of understanding for mechanization, relative insufficiency of bamboo materials, less positive intention to produce bamboo wares caused by lower. wages than in other industries. appearance of P. V. C. products. sudden rise of production costs, lnsuffient joint operation facilities. imperfect market systems and policies for the. protection of producers. and bamboo•flowering. which caused , the prices of bamboo materials to rise. Attainment of the recovery of bamboo-ware industry can be made only when introduction of new techniques mechanization. production, of high-priced goods. diversification of goods, fiancing for bamboo-ware production. improvement of market systems, elimination of middlemen. and studies on bamboo-flowering are realized in the near future. What is more important is that our government authorities must have close relatioosbips. with Japan and Formosa which have sufficient resources for bamboo industry and are producing unique bamboo products. In addition to this. the government should give a helping hand to the bamboo-ware producers in many respects. It is absolutely necessary for the government to send bamboo-ware technicians for on- the-spot job training courses. and to give them many opportunities to win scholarships for the. training broad. And it is desirable to develop not only American markets. but also European and canadian ones for the prosperous future or bamboo-ware industry for which. foreign market surveys should be carried out successfully.

      • 壓密의 數値解析과 盛土工事의 破壊豫測

        본 연구는 關口等(1980) 에 의하여 제안된 彈·粘塑性 構成方程式을 선정하여 盛土荷重을 받 고 있는 軟弱地盤의 샌드드레인에 대하여 有限法要素法에 의한 數値解析을 수행하는데 그 目的이 있다. 韓國西南海岸의 大部分은 軟弱地盤으로 이루어져 있기 때문에 建設工事를 하는데 壓密이 라는 심각한 문제가 야기된다. 이와 관련해서 본 연구에서는 事例檢討로서 西南海岸의 于拓과 工業團地造成事業과 관련된 設計와 施工管理 資料를 確保할 수 있는 方案도 강구된다. 또 이 연구에서 개발된 電算 프로그램의 粘度와 그 實用性을 확인하기 위하여 光陽製鐵所敷 也 造成工事 現場의 實觀測徝와 數値解析結果를 비교한 바 兩者가 잘 一致하고 있음이 발견된 다. 이 結果로부터 盛土工事의 最適化도 기대할 수 있게 되었으며 分析된 主要結論을 要約하면 다음과 같다. 1. 彈·粘塑性 構成모델은 이 연구에서 대상으로 한 粘性土地盤의 壓密解析에 適合하다고 立 證된다. 2. 數値解析에 의하여 地盤改良의 効果와 施工速度를 豫側할 수 있다.

        A SOCIOLOGICAL STUDY ON THE CAUSES OF THE POVERTY IN KOREAN RURAL COMMUNITIES Dept. of Farm Management, College of Agriculture Chonnam University JAE-YOOL CHOl In Korean rural commnunities there are rnany causes of poverty, some of which are economical, technical and social. I want to explain causes for the poverty in rural communities by farmers social point of view. My first aim is to find how the farmers think and how their social point of view has developed,considering especial1y objective causes such as the natural and geographical conditions and subjective causes such as religious influences. Our ancestors enjoyed good farming conditions, because temperature is high and rainfall is heavy. There is a characteristics of rice growing society. korean farmers, today as well as the past, are influenced by Buddhism and Confucionism. G대graphical environment has influenced national character, because Korea is naturally protected by the sea and mountains. Therefore, Korea was for many years lived in secured isolation from external enemies. Finally, however, our nation fell in the control of foreign pewers. The ideological values which the people of our nation pursue are personal and social relation rather than material things. This study will indicate that surplus population in rural areas and small scale-farming, and the concentration of living in villages rather than the isolated farmetead have given to evil practices in rural economy. This study also will indicate that feudalistic value consciousness has made the farmer conservative and exclusive. Farmers in Korea are not governed -by rationalism and do not understand the need for economic cooperation. There are many examples by which can be illustrated the causes of poverty from such conditions. This thesis aims to find a new motive for rural development through a new spirit of enterpreneur. Our farmers have been too much confined by the social point of view of family relations. They have not cared about economic development. This is one reason why they are so poor nowadays. Like it or not, all farmers must live in a competitive society. We Cannot live within a self-sufficient economy, because farmers' children receive modern education and farmers themselves are influenced by contact with modern civilization. There have been many social values which our nation has received from adhering to traditions and social idea. But those merits are now almost lost, because farmers are too poor. We find it very difficulty to conserve social values without the improvement of living standard. So this thesis' conclusion is that all farmers should manage their farms according to entreprenaur spirits and the same time endeavor to keep our proud traditions and social value.

      • 글라디올러스(Gladiolus gandavnsis)의 優良種球生産 技術開發에 關한 硏究(Ⅰ)

        In order to produce better quality of gladiolus corm, one of the cultivar, Red Beauty was used to find out the effect of plant spacing, planting depth and the levels of nitrogen application on the leaf growth and growth of new corm. 1. Additional 2 cm deep planting required another 2 days to emerge and resulted in 5 cm shorter plant height. 2. Rate of emergence investigated at 25 days after planting showed 100% when planted 5 cm deep. 3. Rate of new leaf production was not affected by planting depth. 4. Leaf area growth, fresh and dry weight and growth of new corm was best when planted 7cm deep. 5. Plant height, leaf area and new corm development showed was best when planted in 20×25 cm dencity with 30 kg / 10a nitrogen.

      • 水稻 地方適應 連絡試驗의 電算化를 爲한 Program 開發

        Computer programs in the BASIC-PLUS language were presented for the each steps of the experimental design and analysis of the data from the regional yield trial in rice. All items in the experimental design were memorized in the computer. The field layout and field book keeping of each experiments on the randomized complete block design with three replications were printed. Input of experimental results were conducted in order of the variety and character number in the field book and rearranged in the computer. Means of each varieties for a11 characters in each experiments were tabulated and analysis of variance and LSD were calculated. and yield means of each varieties were calculated in respective ecological region and cultivation type. The stability of each varieties were evaluated as the coefficient of variation of the yield data in the respective ecological region and cultivation type. and locations of higher yield of each variety compared with that of the standand variety were estimated as a most reasonable region.

      • 施設裁培 고추 連作土壤의 生化學的 性質

        Chemical properties, microorganisms, enzyme activities and types of humus were investigated to study the characteristics of continuous cropping soils grown pepper plant under plastic house. The results are as follows : 1. Changes of soil chemical properties had not particular characteristics on pH, EC, CEC, organic matter, NH4-N. NO3-N, available phosphorous, and exchangable cation. but generally increased for the continuous cropping years. 2. Bacteria, fungi and actinomycetes increased with continuous cropping years. Pythium decreased and then increased with increasing copping years, but phytophthora increased 3. Activities of phosphatase, ß-glucosidase and protease increased, but the activity of galacturonase decreased with continuous cropping years. 4. The humic acid was not particular characteristic, but fulvic acid increasd with continuous cropping years, PQ was between 38.5 and 78.2% and the value decreased with continuous cropping years. RF was between 8.9 and 19.5 and △log K was between 0.7291 and 0.8223. The humic acid was classified as RP type which is low degree of humification.
