The purpose of this study is to investigate the material characteristics and strength properties of concrete mixed with waste incinerated bottom ash(BA), and to evaluate the leaching of environmentally harmful heavy metals from the bottom ash itself and from hardened concrete mixed with bottom ash. For this purpose, two reference mixed with W/C ratio of 0.45 and 0.55 were used, and the replacement proportion of BA was varied with ratios of 0, 30, 50, 70 and 100% by volume of fine aggregate in the reference mixes. The variation of compressive and splitting tensile strength, workability and unit weight of concrete were considered. Test results showed that the strengths, workability and unit weight decreased with increase in proportion of BA replaced. Leaching test results showed that there would be no environmentally harmful problem from using BA as substitutes of fine aggregates in concrete.
추이적 행렬을 이용한 패트리 넷의 교착 상태 확인 분석

본 연구에서는 패트리 넷에서의 교착 상태 확인을 추이적 행렬을 이용하여 분석하는 기법을 제안한다. 교착 상태란 패트리 넷에서 마킹이 더 이상 진행되지 못하고 서로 점화 가능 상태를 기다리는 상태로 자원 공유의 문제에서 많이 발생 가능하다. 따라서, 모든 플레이스와 트랜지션과의 관계를 나타내는 추이적 행렬을 이용하여 간단하게 확인분석이 용이한 기법을 제안한다.

Accurate position estimation is required for mobile robot navigation. To estimate current position, mobile robot uses sensors. As one sensor or two sensors system is insufficient to estimate accurately, it is necessary to use sensor fusion method. Mobile robot can obtain redundant and complementary information by using sensor fusion method. It is possible to estimate current position more accurately than one sensor or two sensors system. Sensor fusion system is composed of vision sensor, ultrasonic sensors and encoder sensor. Personal computer and interface board control three different sensors. Extended Kalman Filter(EKF) method using three different sensors is proposed for sensor fusion. The validity of the proposed sensor fusion method is proved by experimental results in indoor environment.
슬라이딩 모드 제어를 이용한 AC서보모터의 원호보간 오차개선에 관한 연구

The objective of this study is aimed at reducing the contour error of AC Servo derives by improving the interpolation error of each axis through sliding mode control system. The errors in machining process by AC Servo motor are due to many elements, such as the delay of the servo drivers, friction and the gain mismatch between x axis and y axis motors and so on. Sliding mode control system is applied to a AC servo drive as a numerical example in this paper. The experiment results which are compared with those of typical PI scheme show the validity of improvement in circular interpolation error of the system.

LES is applied to analyze unsteady turbulent triple-jet water flows which are commonly found in thermal stripping phenomena. Current analyses performed to find effect of different SGS models on flow field with partition plates. LES tends to predict higher level of RMS temperatures compared to those of experiment indicating very active mixing effect among triple jets. The LES is found to be able to provide reliable frequency information of temperature fluctuation. The different SGS models show no significant difference in prediction ability, while Smagorinky-Lilly model yields slightly stronger mixing activity.

This study suggests that in order to reduce off-face shear stress of beam flange a tapered beam can be employed, rather than attaching triangle haunch to the beam, to improve the effective depth of beam itself in the vicinity of connection, as analyzed by a limited factors analysis about beam-column welded moment connection the fact that the development of severe shear stress in the beam flange leads to be causes of brittle fracture on welded region, and suggests that the welded moment connection using papered beam can help in improve seismic performance on the beam-column welded moment connection, as analyzed transfer mechanism of shear and bending stress by a limited factors analysis about tapered beam and column connection.
셀룰러 CDMA 시스템에서 통화품질 개선을 위한 커버리지와 무선자원의 결합형 관리 기법

An abrupt increase of traffic-load in cellular CDMA systems can cause overload and degrade the quality of service (QoS) due to the insufficient radio resources. In this paper, we propose a joint coverage and resource management (JCRM) scheme which can improve the QoS degradation and spectrum utilization. The JCRM scheme hands over overloaded traffic to the neighboring cells by virtually reducing a heavily loaded cell coverage and allocates radio resources based on the necessary handover probability. The proposed scheme can applied to the existing cellular CDMA systems as well as adaptive coverage management schemes for next generation mobile communication systems.

Since 1996, many Korean companies such as Samsung, LG, Hyundai Motor Company, have adopted Six Sigma in order to get a competitive edge in the global marketplace. There are, however, many problems to be solved for successfully implementing Six Sigma in an organization. As is known, one of the key principles of Six Sigma is a data-based management or a decision making based on data. Therefore, Six Sigma requires more measurement than ever, which makes measurement system analysis more important. Usually, a gage R&R study is performed to identify the measurement system's variation relative to process variation. In the study, a gage R&R study is considered for the case where measuring a major quality characteristic accompanies a destructive testing. We suggest a gage R&R study using a screening variable that is highly correlated with the major quality characteristic and also can be measured by a nondestructive testing method. It is assumed that the major quality characteristic and a screening variable have a bivariate normal distribution. A simulation study on the proposed method is performed and we compare it with the conventional gage R&R study for a destructive testing.
파라메터 추정과 슬라이딩 모드를 이용한 상태관측기 구성에 관한 연구

The observer which is based on sliding mode is robust to uncertainties. It has the error dynamic independent on disturbances or noises. But its dynamics are very coservative because of its dependence of output error. So, in this paper, an observer with a novel sliding mode is proposed. The sliding mode of this observer is designed by defining a extended error state whose dynamic is determined from the output error. In addition to this advantage, the RLS algorithm is made more useful by proposing the data obtaining method from the existing experimental data. The performace of the sliding mode observer can be improved using the parameters from the RLS algorithm.
Landau-Khalatnikov 방정식을 이용한 강유전 이력곡선과 펄스 스위칭 특성과의 비교

A phenomenological thermodynamics theory of Landau-Khalatnikov equation was used to study the relation between ferroelectric hysteresis loops and pulse switching current responses for the application of ferroelectric random access memory devices. Independent of hysteresis loop shape whether square or S-shape, the polarizations were switched within one-decade time interval but the characteristic switching times were much different. S-shaped hysteresis loop has longer switching time than square-shaped loop. These results confirm the Kolmogorov-Avrami-Ishibashi model in ferroelectric switching.
