Singularities and strictly wandering domains of transcendental semigroups

        Zhi Gang Huang,Tao Cheng 대한수학회 2013 대한수학회보 Vol.50 No.1

In this paper, the dynamics on a transcendental entire semi- group G is investigated. We show the possible values of any limit function of G in strictly wandering domains and Fatou components, respectively. Moreover, if G is of class B, for any z in a Fatou domain, there does not exist a sequence {gk} of G such that gk(z)→ ∞ as k → ∞.

Multiobjective Optimization of Three-Stage Spur Gear Reduction Units Using Interactive Physical Programming

Huang Hong Zhong,Tian Zhi Gang,Zuo Ming J. The Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers 2005 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.19 No.5

The preliminary design optimization of multi-stage spur gear reduction units has been a subject of considerable interest, since many high-performance power transmission applications (e.g., automotive and aerospace) require high-performance gear reduction units. There are multiple objectives in the optimal design of multi-stage spur gear reduction unit, such as minimizing the volume and maximizing the surface fatigue life. It is reasonable to formulate the design of spur gear reduction unit as a multi-objective optimization problem, and find an appropriate approach to solve it. In this paper an interactive physical programming approach is developed to place physical programming into an interactive framework in a natural way. Class functions, which are used to represent the designer's preferences on design objectives, are fixed during the interactive physical programming procedure. After a Pareto solution is generated, a preference offset is added into the class function of each objective based on whether the designer would like to improve this objective or sacrifice the objective so as to improve other objectives. The preference offsets are adjusted during the interactive physical programming procedure, and an optimal solution that satisfies the designer's preferences is supposed to be obtained by the end of the procedure. An optimization problem of three-stage spur gear reduction unit is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Preliminary clinic study on computer assisted mandibular reconstruction: the positive role of surgical navigation technique

Huang, Jin-Wei,Shan, Xiao-Feng,Lu, Xu-Guang,Cai, Zhi-Gang Korean Association of Maxillofacial Plastic and Re 2015 Maxillofacial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery Vol.37 No.-

Background: The objectives of the present study were to investigate the reliability and outcomes of computer-assisted techniques in mandibular reconstruction with a fibula flap and verify whether the surgical navigation system was feasible in mandible reconstructive surgery. Methods: Eight cases were enrolled in the computer assisted surgery (CAS) group and 14 cases in the traditional group. The shaping and fixation of the fibula grafts were guided by computer assisted techniques, which could be monitored with the BrainLAB surgical navigation system. The variation of mandible configuration was evaluated by CT measurement in the Mimics software, including the variation of length, width, height and gonial angle of the mandible. The 3D facial soft tissue alteration was also analyzed in 3D chromatogram by Geomagic software. Results: All 22 fibula flaps survived. The mandibular configurations and facial contours had a better clinic result in the CAS group. The length, width, height and gonial angle of the reconstructive mandible were more similar to the original one. The Wilcoxon rank sum test analysis suggested significant differences in the measurements. The chromatographic analysis also visually showed superiority over the traditional group. Conclusions: The computer assisted surgical navigation method used in mandibular reconstruction is feasible and precise for clinical application. The contour of the reconstructed mandible and facial symmetry are improved with computer techniques.

Angelica sinensis Supercritical Fluid CO2 Extract Attenuates D-Galactose-Induced Liver and Kidney Impairment in Mice by Suppressing Oxidative Stress and Inflammation

        Zhi-Zhun Mo,Zhi-Xiu Lin,ZiRen Su,Lin Zheng,Hui-Lin Li,JianHui Xie,Yan-Fang Xian,Tie-Gang Yi,Shui-Qing Huang,Jian-Ping Chen 한국식품영양과학회 2018 Journal of medicinal food Vol.21 No.9

Angelica sinensis (AS, Danggui in Chinese) is an important herbal component of various traditional formulae for the management of asthenia and its tonic effects. Although AS has been shown to ameliorate cognitive damage and nerve toxicity in D-galactose (D-gal)-elicited senescent mice brain, its effects on liver and kidney injury have not yet been explored. In this work, mice were subjected to hypodermic injection with D-gal (200 mg/kg) and orally gavaged with AS (20, 40, or 80 mg/kg) once a day for 8 successive weeks. Results revealed that AS significantly improved liver and kidney function as assessed by organ index and functional parameters. In addition, AS pretreatment effectively ameliorated the histological deterioration. AS attenuated the MDA level and markedly enhanced the activities and gene expressions of antioxidative enzymes, namely Cu, Zn-SOD, CAT, and GPx. Furthermore, AS markedly inhibited the D-gal-mediated increment of expressions of inflammatory cytokines iNOS, COX-2, IκBα, p-IκBα, and p65 and promoted the IκBα expression level in both hepatic and renal tissues. In sum, AS pretreatment could effectively guard the liver and kidney of mice from D-gal-induced injury, and the underlying mechanism was deemed to be intimately related to attenuating oxidative response and inflammatory stress.

      • Hsa-miR-181a-5p Expression and Effects on Cell Proliferation in Gastric Cancer

        Chen, Gang,Shen, Zhi-Li,Wang, Ling,Lv, Chun-Ye,Huang, Xin-En,Zhou, Rong-Ping Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2013 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.14 No.6

Purpose: MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small endogenous, non-coding, single-stranded RNAs (approximately 22 nt). Accumulating evidence has shown that aberrant miRNA expression is pronounced and correlated with gastric cancer genesis and progression. Materials and Methods: Expression levels of miR-181a-5p in GC tissues and cell lines were assessed by qRT-PCR and tested for correlation with clinical features. In addition, effects of miR-181a-5p on GC cell growth were investigated. Results: Our findings indicate that miR-181a-5p is upregulated in GC, in correlation with lymph node invasion, nerve invasion and vascular invasion (P<0.05). Enforced expression of miR-181a -5p promoted cell proliferation ability. Conclusions: This study suggested that increased miR-181a-5p is related to GC progression. MiR-181a-5p may represent a potential therapeutic target for GC.

Study on the Flavor Contribution of Phospholipids and Triglycerides to Pork

        Ye-Chuan Huang,Hong-Jun Li,Zhi-Fei He,Ting Wang,Gang Qin 한국식품과학회 2010 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.19 No.5

For investigating the flavor contribution of phospholipids and triglycerides to pork, the longissimus muscle of Rongchang (RC) and PIC (bred by PIC Company of England) pig were selectively removed of intramuscular triglycerides or total intramuscular lipids. After cooking, the flavor of different samples was compared by sensory evaluation, gas chromatographymass spectrometry (GC-MS), and electronic nose. The results showed that removing triglycerides had little effect on the aroma of the cooked meat, but when total intramuscular lipids were removed a remarkable difference was observed. The control samples covaried strongly with some lipid-derived products, and the petroleum ether defatted samples also positively related to these compounds, but to a lesser extent, both of them negatively covaried with chloroform-methanol extracted samples which associated with some Maillard reaction products. Moreover the flavor difference between 2 breeds would decrease when triglycerides were removed, and reduce further when phospholipids and triglycerides were removed simultaneously. These results suggested that intramuscular lipids especially phospholipids contributed significantly to pork flavor, the flavor difference between 2 breeds resulted mainly from different intramuscular lipids content and composition.

      • Lack of Influence of an XRCC3 Gene Polymorphism on Oral Cancer Susceptibility: Meta-analysis

        Zhang, En-Jiao,Cui, Zhi-Gang,Xu, Zhong-Fei,Duan, Wei-Yi,Huang, Shao-Hui,Tan, Xue-Xin,Yin, Zhi-Hua,Sun, Chang-Fu,Lu, Li Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.23

Background: To systematically summarize the association between the X-ray repair cross complementing 3 (XRCC3) gene polymorphism and oral cancer susceptibility by meta-analysis. Materials and Methods: Databases including PubMed, EMbase, CNKI, VIP and WanFang Data were searched to identify case-control studies concerning the association between an XRCC3 gene polymorphism and the risk of oral cancer from the inception to June 2014. Two reviewers independently screened the literature according to the criteria, extracted the data and assessed the quality. Then meta-analysis was performed using Stata 11.0 software. Results: Seven published case-control studies including 775 patients with oral cancer and 1922 controls were selected. Associations between the rs861539 polymorphism and overall oral cancer risk were not statistically significant in all kinds of comparison models (CT vs CC: OR=0.94, 95%CI=0.74-1.18; TT vs CC: OR=0.94, 95%CI=0.64-1.38; dominant model: OR=0.95, 95%CI=0.76-1.18; recessive model: OR=0.94, 95%CI=0.69-1.29; allele T vs C: OR=0.97, 95%CI=0.84-1.11). In the stratified analysis by ethnicity, no significant associations were found among Asians and Caucasians. On stratification by tumor type, no significant associations were found for cancer and oral premalignant lesions. Conclusions: The XRCC3 gene polymorphism was not found to be associated with the risk of oral cancer. Considering the limited quality of the included case-control studies, more high quality studies with large sample size are needed to verify the above conclusion.
