      • Mutual Interpretation of Text and Calligraphy: A Brief Analysis of Text and Calligraphy in Preface to Lanting

        Wang Xizhi’s Preface to Lanting combines the beauty of literary language with the beauty of calligraphy art, which is a classic of Chinese traditional culture. However, at present, both middle school education and academic research have their own sides, ignoring the symbiosis between literature and calligraphy. Taking Wang Xizhi s Preface to Lanting as an example, this paper attempts to restore this tradition of both literary quality and beauty by analyzing the relationship between mutually interpreted texts and calligraphy.

        Association between expression levels and growth trait-related SNPs located in promoters of the MC4R and MSTN genes in Spinibarbus hollandi

        Melanocortin 4 receptor: (MC4R) and Myostatin (MSTN) are two important growth trait-related genes in animals. In this study, we showed that two SNPs, MC4R-719A>G and MSTN-519C>T, found in the promoters of the MC4R and MSTN genes, respectively, are both associated with growth traits in Spinibarbus hollandi. Furthermore, we observed that there were significant associations between the expression levels of the MC4R and MSTN genes and these two growth trait-related SNPs. The expression level of MC4R gene in brain was lower in GG genotype fish with extremely high growth performance than that in AA genotype fish with extremely low growth performance. Expression level of the MSTN gene in muscle was lower in TT genotype fish with extremely high growth performance than that in CC and CT genotype fish with lower growth performance. The results indicated that these SNPs located in the promoters of MC4R and MSTN are associated with growthrelated traits through modification of gene expression levels. The MSTN and MC4R SNPs may have useful application in effective marker-assisted selection aimed to increase output in S. hollandi.

        OPTIMAL PORTFOLIO STRATEGIES WITH A LIABILITY AND RANDOM RISK: THE CASE OF DIFFERENT LENDING AND BORROWING RATES

        This paper deals with two problems of optimal portfolio strate-gies in continuous time. The rst one studies the optimal behavior of a rmwho is forced to withdraw funds continuously at a xed rate per unit time.The second one considers a rm that is faced with an uncontrollable sto-chastic cash ow, or random risk process. We assume the rm’s incomecan be obtained only from the investment in two assets: a risky asset (e.g.,stock) and a riskless asset (e.g., bond). Therefore, the rm’s wealth followsa stochastic process. When the wealth is lower than certain legal level, therm goes bankrupt. Thus how to invest is the fundamental problem of therm in order to avoid bankruptcy. Under the case of dierent lending andborrowing rates, we obtain the optimal portfolio strategies for some reason-able objective functions that are the piecewise linear functions of the rm’scurrent wealth and present some interesting proofs for the conclusions. Theoptimal policies are easy to be operated for any relevant investor.

      • Sinicization of Arabian Calligraphy and Its Influencing Factors

        Arab culture has been introduced into China for nearly 1,000 years. Since its introduction, it has been continuously integrated with Chinese culture and has bred a series of cultural and artistic phenomena with Chinese characteristics and strong Arab-Islamic color. Among them, Chinese Arabian calligraphic is a classic and also a model of Islamism Sinicization. This paper introduces the origin of Arabian calligraphy, its main fonts and main forms of its sinicization. On this basis, three main cultural factors that affect Arabian calligraphy were discussed, providing some thoughts for exploring and studying Arabian calligraphy in China.

      • Dynamic Hedging under Liquidity Risk

        This paper develops a framework for analyzing dynamic hedging strategies under liquidity risk. The liquidity risk is modeled in discrete time, which says the more you trade the more unfavorable to you the price will get and thus, you must pay more for same amount of assets or get less cash after selling ans asset. The portfolio dynamics under liquidity risk is established provided that portfolio is affine and self-financing. Following that, we present an affine hedging algorithm for computing moments of hedge error. Finally, numerical examples are shown in order to explain the quantitative relations among hedge error, liquidity costs, liquidity level and trading frequency.

        The Role of Polarization Coulomb Field Scattering in the Electron Mobility of AlGaN/AlN/GaN Heterostructure Field-effect Transistors

        The electron mobility for the prepared AlGaN/AlN/GaN heterostructure field-effect transistor (HFET) with the ratio of the gate length to the drain-to-source distance being less than 1/2 has been studied by comparing the measured electron mobility with the theoretical value. The measured electron mobility is derived from the measured capacitance-voltage (C-V) and current-voltage (I-V) characteristics, and the theoretical mobility is determined by using Matthiessen’s law, involving six kinds of important scattering mechanisms. For the prepared device at room temperature, longitudinal optical phonon scattering (LO scattering) was found to have a remarkable effect on the value of the electron mobility, and polarization Coulomb field scattering (PCF scattering ) was found to be important to the changing trend of the electron mobility versus the two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) density.

        Quantitative evaluation method for machining accuracy retention of CNC machine tools considering degenerate trajectory fluctuation

        Accuracy retention is an important performance index of CNC machine tools. At present, research on the evaluation of machining accuracy retention of CNC machine tools mainly focuses on accuracy value of a fixed time point or different time periods, but studies on the fluctuation degree of degradation trajectory related to time change are limited. Extracting simple and effective degradation characteristics of machining accuracy and then evaluating machining accuracy retention considering fluctuation of degradation trajectory are necessary. The volume error model of CNC machine tools is established on the basis of multibody system theory in this study. Three-dimensional volume error vector is transformed into one-dimensional machining accuracy degradation by calculating offset distance between spatial error and origin points. Degradation data obtained via regular measurement and calculation are used to establish the complete degradation trajectory model of the CNC machine tools machining accuracy using radial basis function interpolation method according to the fluctuation degree of degradation trajectory, and concepts of average degradation rate and average degradation amount are defined. Lastly, examples showed that these two indicators can intuitively reflect fluctuation degree of machining accuracy degradation of CNC machine tools and effectively and quantitatively evaluate accuracy retention of CNC machine tools. The quantitative evaluation method of accuracy retention of CNC machine tools defined in this study considers the fluctuation degree of accuracy degradation trajectory. The quantitative evaluation index of accuracy retention demonstrates satisfactory engineering application because it can reflect not only the accuracy change of a single machine tool but also accurately compare the accuracy retention between different machine tools.

        Reliability optimization design of hydraulic system considering oil contamination

        This paper presents a reliability optimization design method for a hydraulic system that considers oil contamination. The proposed method applies the quantitative relationship between oil contamination and system reliability to the reliability design of a hydraulic system, while considering the performance, layout, and other design factors. A global reliability model of the hydraulic system is constructed based on the oil contamination control model. Further studies aiming at an optimization design model of the hydraulic system is established where the cost is the objective function, reliability index, size and structure range, performance requirements are constraints, structure size and oil change period are design variables. For illustration, a case study on the reliability optimization design of the oil supply point branch of the static pressure bracket of a certain type of heavy CNC horizontal lathe is considered.

        Optimizing opportunistic preventive maintenance strategy for multi-unit system of CNC lathe

        Due to the many components in the multi-unit system (i.e., CNC machine tools), the existing preventive maintenance (PM) strategies conducting independent PM for every component are time-consuming and waste unnecessary maintenance and downtime costs. Hence, this paper introduces the idea of opportunistic maintenance into the PM and proposes an opportunistic imperfect PM approach, which is a more realistic PM policy for a multi-unit system. In this approach, the effect of PM is assumed to be imperfect to correct the failure rate of each unit. According to the corrected failure rate function, the imperfect PM strategy of a single unit is optimized by minimizing the proposed unit maintenance cost rate under the limitation of minimum reliability. Then, these independent imperfect PM strategies for units are rescheduled by the proposed opportunistic PM strategy under the condition of judging the reliability OM threshold of units. We further optimize the opportunistic PM strategy by minimizing the total maintenance cost. Finally, the advantage of our approach is verified by the case study of 18 CNC lathes.
