Conclusion: It was concluded that dentifrice of using tooth-brush dentifrice, containing 0.09% of ZnCl2 was effective for desensitization without any specific side effect, and recommended to use it by attaching their on the tooth surface for 10 minutes before toothbrushing.

      • Preliminary Assessment of Radiation Effects of Spent Fuel Transport to Interim Storage

        Yunhui Lee,Chang-Lak Kim,Sanghwa Shin 한국방사성폐기물학회 2022 한국방사성폐기물학회 학술논문요약집 Vol.20 No.2

The saturation rates of the spent fuel (SF) wet storage at the Kori Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), Hanbit, and Hanul are 83.3%, 74.2%, and 80.8% as of the fourth quarter of 2021. The storages of Kori NPP and Hanbit NPP are expected to be saturated in 2031, and Hanul is expected to be saturated in 2032. Therefore, the construction of an interim storage facility to store the SF temporarily stored in the NPP was planned, and preparations for the safe transport of the SF are required. In this paper, radiological preliminary assessment using NRC-RADTRAN in the process of sea transport of SF from the wet storage or ISFSI of the Hanbit NPP to the optional interim storage facility was performed. Since domestic SF transport vessels are not currently in operation, the specifications of the UK Pacific Grebe vessel which can carry up to 20 casks were used. The transport cask used the specifications of KORAD-21, a transport container developed in Korea. Because it can carry more SF assemblies than the existing KN-18. In addition, a land transport safety test was conducted in 2020 and a sea transport test is planned. The sea transport route was entered by referring to the transport route of domestic low and intermediate level waste. The accidents rate was calculated using statistics on maritime accidents from 2017 to 2021. The probability accidents along the transportation route were evaluated as 3.152E -10. When transporting to an interim storage facility, the SF expected to be the main transport target was selected as WH 17X17, combustion 45,000 MWD/MTU, and concentration of 4.5%. The source term was calculated and entered according to this data and the release fraction was entered with reference to the DOE report. In the case of normal transport without accident, the individual dose of the crew member and public residents were estimated to be 0.0525% and 0.000492% of the annual limit of 1 mSv/yr for the general public. Under the accident conditions, the annual individual doses of residents were 0.0011%, 0.0023%, 0.0034%, and 0.0046% of the annual limit of 1 mSv/yr when carrying 5, 10, 15, and 20 casks. Currently, the site of the interim storage facility has not been precisely determined, but a preliminary radiation assessment through sea transport resulted in a significantly lower than the limit. Combined scenario sea transport followed by land transport will be carried out in the next stage of study.

      • Tongue pressure measurement and trainer development

( Hyukju Lee ),( Sooncheon Lee ),( Seungyeon Kim ),( Rea Mun ),( Yunhui Park ),( Youngsik Won ),( Kyeho Kim ) 한국감성과학회 2017 한국감성과학회 국제학술대회(ICES) Vol.2017 No.-

Swallowing is the process of sending food from the mouth to the stomach. A problem in this process is called swallowing disorder. It is caused by various causes such as nervous system diseases, structural problems, and mental problems. Swallowing disorders occur in 32% of inpatients in rehabilitation medicine and are a common problem with 50 to 75% of stroke patients. The biggest problem with swallowing disorders is that they cause serious complications. Aspiration pneumonia, dehydration, and malnutrition. Among them, aspiration pneumonia is a serious complication that causes food to enter the lungs during swallowing and cause the patient to die. However, until now, rehabilitation of the tongue function has become non-standardized, and it is a reality that the initial state of the patient and the state of improvement were depended on the visual and intuition of the therapist. To overcome these shortcomings, I developed a tool in the US called the Iowa oral performance instrument (IOPI) to measure intraoral pressure. IOPI is designed to provide more objective treatment because it can make accurate measurements. However, it is difficult for patients to feedback because the numerical value is represented by light and numbers, and the therapists must calculate the numbers necessary for rehabilitation. , There was a disadvantage that it was impossible to check the progress record. To overcome these problems, we developed a tongue-pressure measuring and treatment machine. Tongue - Pressure measurement and treatment device uses Bluetooth to measure the pressure produced by the tongue in the oral cavity in conjunction with an Android smartphone or tablet, and provides various therapeutic training through measured values. The training mode is based on the previous article and is a game that you can enjoy watching the screen with fun. You can also see the results in a graph for easy viewing at a glance. Based on this, we conducted "Effects of tongue strength training using biofeedback on swallowing ability, tongue strength, and quality of life in stroke patients with dysphagia" research using a tongue-pressure measuring trainer. Four-week training has shown improved tongue pressure, swallowing ability, and quality of life. As shown above, tongue pressure training treatment improves the tongue function of patients with swallowing disorder, and improves overall swallowing ability and can change the quality of life. The tongue training trainer will help you with rehabilitation more accurate, systematic, easy and interesting, through biofeedback tongue training.

A Case with Cholinesterase Inhibitor Responsive Asymmetric Posterior Cortical Atrophy

        Kim, Yunhui,Lee, Yeonsu,Lee, Jongkeol,Han, Seol-Heui 대한치매학회 2004 Dementia and Neurocognitive Disorders Vol.3 No.1

A 55-year-old right-handed woman presented initially with mild amnestic and depressive episodes but developed slowly progressive neurobehavioral symptoms indicative of posterior cortical atrophy in ensuing years. A more detailed neurobehavioral test suggested predominant right temporo-parietal dysfunction with executive functional deficits. SPECT and MRI findings revealed right unilateral temporo-parietal involvement. Cholinesterase inhibitor administration for 14 months led to amelioration of cognitive dysfunction on follow-up neuropsychologic evaluation. We suggest that cases of posterior cortical atrophy or visual variant of Alzheimer's disease may be responsive to cholinesterase inhibitor therapy.
