In this study, the classification, particle size, physical properties, and harmful substance contents of aggregates were compared in the standards between Korea and China. As a result of the analysis, although Korea and China are geographically adjacent from a global perspective, there are many differences in standards. In other words, it is analyzed that the standard was set due to the influence of the United States and Japan in Korea, while the standard was set due to the influence of Europe and Russia in China.

This study examines the performance of CBS-Dust for the utilization of cement bricks as alkali stimulants for furnace slag replacement binders. It converts the CBS-Dust substitution rate and the excess slag substitution rate. According to the analysis, when replacing CBS-Dust with 65~70 % of BS substitution rate and 7.5~10 % of CBS-Dust, it shows excellent performance as an alkali stimulant of BS’ potential hydrophobic reaction, and it is expected to be effective for secondary products of BS replaced in large quantities.

The present study was aimed to examine the role of endothelium in the relaxant effect of hawthorn fruit extract of Crataegus pinnatifida in four different types of rat arteries, posterior cerebral communicating artery, right descending coronary artery, common carotid artery, and aorta. In $9,11-dideoxy-11{\alpha}$, $9{\alpha}-epoxy-methanoprostaglandin$ $F_{2{\alpha}}$ (U46619)-preconstricted arterial rings except for aorta, the extract produced endothelium-independent relaxations with similar potency. This relaxation was unaffected by pretreatment with $100\;{\mu}M\;N^G-nitro-L-arginine$ methylester (L-NAME, the nitric oxide synthase inhibitor), $3\;{\mu}M$ 1H-[l,2,4]oxadiazolo$[4,2-{\alpha}]$quinoxalin-1-one (ODQ, the guanylate cyclase inhibitor), or $10\;{\mu}M$ indomethacin (the cyclooxygenase inhibitor). Putative $K^+$ channel blockers (charybdotoxin plus apamin or glibenclamide) did not affect the extract-induced relaxation in cerebral or coronary artery rings. In contrast, in rat aortic rings the extract produced significantly smaller relaxant response in endothelium-denuded rings than that in endothelium-intact rings. Pretreatment with L-NAME or ODQ abolished the extractinduced endothelium-dependent aortic relaxation, whilst indomethacin $(3\;{\mu}M)$ had no effect. The present results indicate that hawthorn fruit extract possesses a vasorelaxing effect in cerebral, coronary and carotid arteries and this effect is independent of the presence of a functional endothelium. However, the extract-induced endothelium-dependent relaxation in rat aorta was mediated through endothelial nitric oxide and cyclic GMP-dependent mechanisms, suggesting that active components in the extract may act on endothelium to stimulate release of nitric oxide in large conduit arteries of the rats.
An Investigation on Leisure Needs for Bicycle Lane using Two-Dimensional Quality Model

This paper aimed at investigating the leisure motivation and bikers needs for bicycle lane. A total of 219 questionnaires from bikers are surveyed, in which 186 questionnaires are valid. The Kano‘s (1984) model is used to obtain key elements of biker‘ needs to bicycle lane. The analysis results show that the major motivation to ride a bicycle is “stimulus-avoidance” and the least motivation is “Social”. The most quality elements of leisure needs belong to one-dimensional elements. And flare equipment at night and lavatory installation have a higher priority of improvement to meet bikers needs.

Interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS), which is characterized by bladder pain and irritative voiding symptoms, is a frustrating disease without effective treatment. The cause is still largely not understood, although urothelium ischemia/hypoxia, apoptosis, denudation, and infiltration of inflammatory cells are common histopathological findings. The current uncertainty regarding the etiology and pathology of IC/BPS has a negative impact on its timely and successful treatment; therefore, the development of new treatment modalities is urgently needed. Herein, we present advances in our knowledge on this topic and review the potential application of regenerative medicine for the treatment of IC/BPS. This article provides information on the basic characteristics and clinical evidence of stem cells, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and low-energy shock waves (LESWs) based on a literature review with a search strategy for articles related to IC/BPS, stem cells, PRP, and LESW published in MEDLINE and PubMed. Stem cells, PRP, and LESW, which modulate inflammatory processes and promote tissue repair, have been proven to improve bladder regeneration, relieve bladder pain, inhibit bladder inflammation, and increase bladder capacity in some preclinical studies. However, clinical studies are still in their infancy. Based on the mechanisms of action of stem cells, PRP, and LESW documented in many preclinical studies, the potential applications of regenerative medicine for the treatment of IC/BPS is an emerging frontier of interest. However, solid evidence from clinical studies remains to be obtained.

Validating a Repeat Visit Model to Historical Temple by Structural Equation Modeling

This paper is attempted to model the tourists' repeat visit inclination for historical temple according to itself critical properties and religious motivation. The numbers of 450 questionnaires were investigated in sites of Tainan Grand Matus (TGM) temple and Taintan temple in Tainan, Taiwan. Using the data, the hypothesized paths were test with a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach by the LISREL procedure. The construct and indicators of the SEM were measured by 18 items embodying religious motivation, satisfaction, and revisit inclination. Total satisfaction contained three indicators: (1) activity; (2) culture; and (3) landscape. The results show that the proposed SEMs of TGM temple and Taintan temple are accepted as the best models.

The Technical Benefits of Future GNSS for Taiwan

The next decade promises drastic improvements and additions to global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). Plans for GPS modernization include a civilian code measurement on the L2 frequency and a new L5 signal at 1176.45MHz. Current speculations indicate that a fully operational constellation with these improvements could be available by 2013. Simultaneously, the Galileo Joint Undertaking is in the development and validation stages of introducing a parallel GNSS called Galileo. Galileo will also transmit freely available satellite navigation signals on three frequencies and is scheduled to be fully operational as early as 2008. In other words, a dual system receiver (e.g., GPS+GALILEO) for general users can access six civil frequencies transmitted by at least fifty eights navigation satellites in space. The advent of GALILEO and the modernization of GPS raise a lot of attention to the study of the compatibility and interoperability of the two systems. A number of performance analyses have been conducted in a global scale with respect to availability, reliability, accuracy and integrity in different simulated scenarios (such as open sky and urban canyons) for the two systems individually and when integrated. Therefore, the scope of this article aims at providing the technical benefits analysis for Taiwan specifically in terms of the performance indices mentioned above in a local scale, especially in typical urban canyon scenarios. The conclusions gained by this study will be applied by the Land Survey Bureau of Taiwanese as the guideline for developing future GNSS tracking facilities and dual GNSS processing module for precise surveying applications in static and kinematic modes.
