        여단급 과학화전투훈련 체계 경제적 효과 분석

        본 연구에서는 여단급 과학화전투훈련 체계의 경제적 효과를 2가지 측면에서 분석하였다. 첫째, 2010년부터 2018년까지 대대급에서 여단급으로 확장된 과학화전투훈련 전력화사업에 대한 경제적 파급효과를 산업연관분석을 통해 생산유발 효과, 부가가치유발 효과, 고용유발 효과로 분석하였다. 둘째, 여단급 과학화전투훈련을 통한 예산 절감효과 분석을 위해 여단급 과학화전투훈련에 투입된 비용과 실탄을 사용하는 여단급 실기동 훈련의 투입된 비용 간 비용분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 여단급 과학화전투훈련 전력화사업 간 4,449억원이 투입되어 생산유발 효과 6,883억원, 부가가치 유발 효과 4,777억원, 고용유발 효과는 4,795명인 것으로 분석되었다. 또한, 전력화사업 이후 여단급 과학화전투훈련을 통한 예산 절감효과는 1회 훈련기준 약 230억원이 절감되는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구를 통해 향후 육군에서 지속적으로 추진하고 있는 과학화훈련 관련 사업에 대한 타당성 확보 및 대외홍보를 위한 자로 활용할 수 있는 객관적 자료를 제시하였다. This study analyzed the economic effects of the KCTC System force integration project expanded from the battalion level to the brigade level from 2010 to 2018 in two aspects. First, using the input-output table issued by the Bank of Korea, the input-output analysis method, which analyzes the linkage structure and ripple effect between industries, was used to generate production inducement and the added value and employment inducement were analyzed. Second, as of 2020, the budget reduction effect of KCTC on a one-time basis was examined through a comparative analysis between the cost of a brigade-level actual maneuvering training using live ammunition and the cost of KCTC training of the same scale. The budget saved by one-time brigade-level KCTC training was approximately 23 billion won. The economic ripple effect was 688.3 billion won in production inducement, 477 billion won in value-added inducement, and 4,795 people in employment inducement effects. Finally, the analysis results derived through this study presented objective data that can be used as data for securing the validity of the science-related training projects that the Army is continuing to promote in the future and for public relations.

      • 자동착유시스템 설치농가의 설치 후 만족도에 관한 실태조사

        본 시험은 국내에 도입되기 시작한 AMS에 대하여 설치 동기, 설치 후 우유생산량과우유품질, AMS 설치계기 및 설치 후 만족도, AMS 운영상 애로점 및 건의사항 등을 조사 분석하였다. 설치 계기가 무엇인가에 대한 응답비율은 노동력 부족 44%, 체험목장으로 전환 25%, 소들의 고능력화에 대응 19% 순이었으며 기타 6%였다. AMS 설치농가의 사육경력은 평균 24.9년, 평균 연령은 53.2세로 나타났으며 가족노동력만으로 경영하는 목장이 조사농가의 38%, 고용+자가노동력 형태의 목장이 63%로 나타났다. 목장의 산유능력은 두당 평균 유량은 1일 $30.9{\ell}$, 평균 유지율 3.9%, 세균수는 9.1천개/$m{\ell}$ 수준이었다. 후계자 육성에 대한 질문에 매우 그렇다라고 응답한 비율은 68%였으며, 보통 18%, 아니다와 매우 아니다라고 응답한 비율은 18%로 나타났다. 시스템 운영현황 및 애로사항을 파악하기 위하여 AMS의 프로그램 주운영자에 대한 질문에 본인 44%, 부인 6%, 자녀 또는 후계자사람이 44%, 기타 6%나 되었다. AMS 운영상 가장 어려운 점에 대한 조사결과, 기기 작동 및 복잡한 프로그램 운영이 각각 31%로 가장 많았다. 그 외 기계 에러 및 고장에 대한 애로사항이 25%이였다. 도태원인에 대하여 유방염 28%, 번식장애 20%, 발굽질환 19%, AMS에 부적합한 유두 배열 12%, 분만 후 대사성질병 7%, 노산 등 기타 14%였다. 시스템 설치 후 유지보수 계약 체결유무 및 비용에 대하여 유지보수 계약 56%, 유지 보수 계약 미체결 44%이었다. 유지보수 계약 평균 계약비용은 연간 658만원 정도였다. 시스템 설치 후 항목별 만족도에 대하여 5점 만점에 3.9점이었으며, 노동력 절감 3.7점, 업체의 A/S 3.6점, 산유량 증가 3.2점, 원유의 체세포 수 저감 2.8점이었다. 시스템 설치 시 고려사항 및 건의사항에 대하여 고가의 장비를 효율적으로 사용하기 위하여 젖소의 유방과 유두 배열이 적합하도록 젖소를 선발하는 것, 시스템을 운용할 수 있는 능력, 적합한 환경, 재정적 능력과 부지 확보, 지속적인 관찰 등이 권장되어야 할 것으로 나타났으며, 설치 업체에 대해서는 컨설팅이 체계화될 필요가 가장 높게 나타났으며 이어서 보다 저렴한 설치와 서비스의 체계화를 요구하는 결과를 보였다. The present survey was conducted to provide basic information on automatic milking system (AMS) in relation to purchase motive, milk yield and quality, customer satisfaction, difficulties of operation and customer suggestions, etc. Purchase motives of AMS were insufficient labor (44%), planning of dairy experience farm (25%), better performance of high yield cows (19%) and others (6%), respectively. Average cow performance after using AMS was 30.9l/d for milk yield, 3.9% for milk fat, 9,100/ml for bacterial counts. Sixty-eight percentage of respondents were very positive in response to AMS use for their successors but 18% were negative. The AMS operators were owner (44%), successor (44%), wife (6%) and company worker (6%), respectively. The most difficulty (31%) in using AMS was operating the system and complicated program manual. The rate of response to system error and breakdown was 25%. The reasons for culling cow after using AMS were mastitis (28%), reproduction failure (19%), incorrect teat placement (12%), metabolic disease (7%) and others (14%), respectively. Fifty-six percentages of the respondents made AMS maintenance contract and 44% did not. Average annual cost of the maintenance contract was 6,580,000 won. Average score for AMS satisfaction measurement (1 to 5 range) was 3.2 with decrease of labor cost 3.7, company A/S 3.6, increase of milk yield 3.2 and decrease of somatic cell count 2.8, respectively. Suggestions for the higher efficiency in using AMS were selecting cows with correct udder shape and teat placement, proper environment, capital and land, and attitude for continuous observation. Systematic consulting was highly required for AMS companies followed by low cost for AMS setup and systematization of A/S.

        Floristic Study and Conservation Plan on Abandoned Paddy Field Type of Forest Wetlands in Korea

        This study surveyed the vascular flora present in abandoned paddy field type of 237 forest wetlands in Korea to provide baseline data for conservation, management, and monitoring and to support preparation for damage and climate change. The study period was from April 2015 to November 2021. The vascular flora of 237 forest wetlands by abandoned paddy field type were identified to consist of 128 families, 510 genera, 1,022 species, 27 subspecies, 87 varieties, 10 forma, and 1,146 taxa. 4 taxa were identified as grade II endangered wild plants, 185 taxa were identified as northern lineage plants of the Korean Peninsula, 43 taxa were endemic to the Korean Peninsula, and 58 taxa were rare plants as designated by the Korea Forest Service. Further, 296 taxa were floristic target plants and there were 86 taxa of invasive alien plants. According to wetland preference, 79 taxa (6.9%) were obligate wetland plants, 103 taxa (9.0%) were facultative wetland plants, and 61 (5.3%) taxa were facultative plants. Additionally, 66 taxa (5.8%) were facultative upland plants, and 837 taxa (73.0%) were obligate upland plants.

        Effect of Culture Conditions on the Production of Succinate by Enterococcus faecalis RKY1

        Bioconversion of fumarate to succinate was anaerobically conducted in a synthetic medium containing glycerol as a hydrogen donor and fumarate as a hydrogen acceptor. We investigated the effects of pH, carbon and nitrogen sources, conversion substrate, and other culture conditions on the production of succinate using a newly isolated Enterococcus faecalis RKY1. Addition of a variety of carbonates to the medium significantly increased the rates of production of succinate. The production of succinate and cell growth were relatively satisfactory in the pH range of 7.0-7.6. By using glycerol as a hydrogen donor, high purity succinate was produced with few byproducts. Yeast extract as a sole nitrogen source was the most effective for producing succinate. As a result, the optimum condition of bioconversion was obtained at a medium containing 20g/l glycerol, 50g/l fumarate, 15g/l yeast extract, 10g/l K_2HPO_4 1g/l NaCl, 50 ppm MgCl_2, .6H_2O, 10ppm FeSO_4, . 7H_2O, and 5g/l Na_2CO_3 at pH 7.0-7.6. Under the optimum condition, a succinate concentration of 153g/l was produced in 36h. The total volumetric production rate and the molar yield of succinate were 4.3g/l/h and 85%, respectively.

        Effects of Herbal Extracts on Hair Growth Promotion in Experimental Animal Model

        The current study was conducted in order to investigate promotional effects of herbal extracts on hair growth in an animal model of mice. There were four experimental groups, including distilled water (DW) as a negative control (NC), 3% minoxidil (MXD) as a positive control (PC), 50% ethanol (EtOH) as a vehicle control (VC), and herbal extract (HE) as the experimental treatment (E). The HE was extracted with ethanol from plants, including Gardenia, Mentha arvensis, Rosemary, and Lavender. Six-week-old C57BL/6 male mice were shaved with an electric clipper and the test materials were topically treated with 0.2 ml per mouse daily for three weeks. Photographic evaluation of hair re-growth was performed weekly during a period of three weeks. The number of mast cells was counted on the dorsal skin section of mice. The enzymes, alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and γ-glutamyl transpeptidase (γ-GT), were determined using a biochemical autoanalyzer. No clinical signs were observed in any of the experimental groups. As a result of photometric analysis, topical application of HE to dorsal skin for two weeks resulted in significantly faster acceleration of hair regrowth, compared with that of the NC or VC group (P<0.05). The PC and E groups showed a significant decrease in mast cell population, compared to the NC group. Activities of ALP and γ-GT were significantly increased in the PC and E groups, compared to the NC or VC group (P<0.05). Taken together, these results suggest that the herbal extract may have hair-growth promoting activity equal to that of MXD.

        A Hierarchical Time Division Multiple Access Medium Access Control Protocol for Clustered Underwater Acoustic Networks

        A hierarchical time division multiple access (HTDMA) medium access control (MAC) protocol is proposed for clustered mobile underwater acoustic networks. HTDMA consists of two TDMA scheduling protocols (i.e., TDMA1 and TDMA2) in order to accommodate mobile underwater nodes (UNs). TDMA1 is executed among surface stations (e.g., buoys) using terrestrial wireless communication in order to share mobility information obtained from UNs which move cluster to cluster. TDMA2 is executed among UNs, which send data to their surface station as a cluster head in one cluster. By sharing mobility information, a surface station can instantaneously determine the number of time slots in a TDMA2 frame up to as many as the number of UNs which is currently residing in its cluster. This can enhance delay and channel utilization performance by avoiding the occurrence of idle time slots. We analytically investigate the delay of HTDMA, and compare it with that of wellknown contention-free and contention-based MAC protocols, which are TDMA and Slotted-ALOHA, respectively. It is shown that HTDMA remarkably decreases delay, compared with TDMA and Slotted-ALOHA.

        <P>The stretchability of CVD graphene with a large area is much lower than that of mechanically exfoliated pristine graphene owing to the intrinsic and extrinsic defects induced during its synthesis, etch-out of the catalytic metal, and the transfer processes. This low stretchability is the main obstacle for commercial application of CVD graphene in the field of flexible and stretchable electronics. In this study, artificially layered CVD graphene is suggested as a promising candidate for a stretchable transparent electrode. In contrast to single-layer graphene (SLG), multi-layer graphene has excellent electromechanical stretchability owing to the strain relaxation facilitated by sliding among the graphene layers. Macroscopic and microscopic electromechanical tensile tests were performed to understand the key mechanism for the improved stretchability, and crack generation and evolution were systematically investigated for their dependence on the number of CVD graphene layers during tensile deformation using lateral force microscopy. The stretchability of double-layer graphene (DLG) is much larger than that of SLG and is similar to that of triple-layer graphene (TLG). Considering the transmittance and the cost of transfer, DLG can be regarded as a suitable candidate for stretchable transparent electrodes.</P>

        Abstract Transvenous implantation of implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) in patients with a prosthetic valve in the tricuspid position is difficult because a defibrillator lead cannot be implanted into the right ventricle through the prosthetic valve. We report a case of transvenous ICD implantation in a patient who had undergone tricuspid valve replacement with mechanical prosthetic valve. A 70-year-old woman with a prosthetic valve in the tricuspid position experienced two times of aborted sudden cardiac arrest. Transvenous dual-chamber ICD implantation was successfuly performed by implanting a defibrillator lead into the middle cardiac vein. Introduction Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) is effective for secondary prevention of sudden cardiac death for patients who experienced aborted sudden cardiac death.(1) and as well as for primary prevention of sudden cardiac arrest for patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction(2, 3). Recently, the number of ICD implantation cases is rapidly increasing. However, ICD implantation is difficult in some patients with complex structural heart disease, including presence of a prosthetic valve in the tricuspid position, Glenn shunt, and Fontan circulation(4). Especially, in patients with tricuspid prosthetic valve a pacing lead or a defibrillation lead cannot be implanted through the prosthetic valve because of prosthetic valve failure and damage to the lead. There are three options for ICD implantation in those patients; epicardial implantation, subcutaneous ICD implantation, and cardiac vein implantation. We report a case of successful transvenous ICD implantation with a defibrillator lead in the middle cardiac vein in a 70-year-old female with a prosthetic valve in the tricuspid position.

        Genetic Diversity of Cultivable Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria in Korea

        To elucidate the biodiversity of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) in Korea, 7,638 bacteria isolated from the rhizosphere of plant species growing in many different regions were screened. A large number of PGPR were identified by testing the ability of each isolate to promote the growth of cucumber seedlings. After redundant rhizobacteria were removed via amplified rDNA restriction analysis, 90 strains were finally selected as PGPR. On the basis of 16S ribosomal RNA sequences, 68 Gram-positive (76%) and 22 Gram-negative (24%) isolates were assigned to 21 genera and 47 species. Of these genera, Bacillus (32 species) made up the largest complement, followed by Paenibacillus (19) and Pseudomonas (11). Phylogenetic analysis showed that most of the Grampositive PGPR fell into two categories: low- and high- G+C (Actinobacteria) strains. The Gram-negative PGPR were distributed in three categories: α-proteobacteria, β- proteobacteria, and γ-proteobacteria. To our knowledge, this is the largest screening study designed to isolate diverse PGPR. The enlarged understanding of PGPR genetic diversity provided herein will expand the knowledge base regarding beneficial plant-microbe interactions. The outcome of this research may have a practical effect on crop production methodologies.
