본 연구는 정성적 연구방법중 하나인 CIT기법을 이용하여 중국 호텔에서 서비스실패와 복구를 유형별로 나누어 결정적 사건과 복구정도를 살펴보고 그 원인을 분석함으로써 중국진출을 시도하고 있는 한국 호텔기업들에 대하여 서비스접점을 전략적으로 관리할 수 있도록 효율적인 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구결과, 서비스실패 유형에 있어서 무형적인 복구가 가장 많은 비중을 차지하고 있었으며 유형적인 복구가 가장 적은 비중을 차지하고 있었다. 복구정도에 있어서 유형적인 복구가 가장 높은 복구정도를 나타내고 있었으며, 정중한 사과와 같은 무형적인 복구도 매우 높은 복구정도를 나타내는 등 흥미로운 점들을 발견할 수가 있었다. This study used CIT, one of the qualitative analysis, to find out decisive factor, restoration standard and its reason. It provides an effective scheme to Korean Hotel which is planning to enter China. As a result, the invisible restoration held a big portion in service failures and the visible restoration held small one. As it's expectation visible restoration show the highest recovery rate, as well as invisible restoration like a polite apology show very high recovery rate. From recommendation intention clause it was found that customers are not willing to recommend regardless service restoration were recovered well.

Effect of Cornus Officinalis Extract on the Differentiation of MC3T3-E1 Osteoblast-like Cells

Cornus officinalis has been widely used as herbal medicine exerting various pharmacological actions such as diuretic, anti-allergic, hypotensive and antibiotic activities. Thus we studied the effect of Cornus officinalis on the proliferation, differentiation and matrix mineralization of MC3T3-E1 osteoblast-like cell line. To do the experiments, Cornus officinalis extract (COE) was prepared using ethanol at different concentrations. The cytotoxic effect and the osteogenic differentiation were examined using MTT assay, alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity, ALP staining, Alizarin red S staining and reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction for osteogenic differentiation markers such as collagen type I (Col-I), ostoecalcin (OCN). The results indicated that there was no effect on cell proliferation on both 1st and 3rd days after treatment in MC3T-E1 cells. The level of ALP, Col-I mRNA, OCN mRNA and mineralized nodule were significantly higher in COE treated group than no treated group. Our results suggest that the COE promotes the osteoblast differentiation and mineralization without observable cytotoxicity. Therefore, it may play an important role in osteoblastic bone formation, and may possibly to be an effective measure for bone regeneration. Tissue Eng Regen Med 2015;12(Suppl 2):113-121

Interleukin-20 targets podocytes and is upregulated in experimental murine diabetic nephropathy

Interleukin (IL)-20, a proinflammatory cytokine of the IL-10 family, is involved in acute and chronic renal failure. The aim of this study was to elucidate the role of IL-20 during diabetic nephropathy development. We found that IL-20 and its receptor IL-20R1 were upregulated in the kidneys of mice and rats with STZ-induced diabetes. In vitro, IL-20 induced MMP-9, MCP-1, TGF-β1 and VEGF expression in podocytes. IL-20 was upregulated by hydrogen peroxide, high-dose glucose and TGF-β1. In addition, IL-20 induced apoptosis in podocytes by activating caspase-8. In STZ-induced early diabetic nephropathy, IL-20R1-deficient mice had lower blood glucose and serum BUN levels and a smaller glomerular area than did wild-type controls. Anti-IL-20 monoclonal antibody (7E) treatment reduced blood glucose and the glomerular area and improved renal functions in mice in the early stage of STZ-induced diabetic nephropathy. ELISA showed that the serum IL-20 level was higher in patients with diabetes mellitus than in healthy controls. The findings of this study suggest that IL-20 induces cell apoptosis of podocytes and plays a role in the pathogenesis of early diabetic nephropathy.

Clarifying Warhead Separation from the Reentry Vehicle Using a Novel Tracking Algorithm

Separating a reentry vehicle into warhead and body is a conventional and efficient means of producing a huge decoy and increasing the kinetic energy of the warhead. This procedure causes the radar to track the body, whose radar cross section is larger, and ignore the warhead, which is the most important part of the reentry vehicle. However, the procedure is difficult to perform using standard tracking criteria. This study presents a novel tracking algorithm by integrating input estimation and modified probabilistic data association filter to solve this difficulty in a clear environment. The proposed algorithm with a new defined association probability in this filter provides a good tracking capability for the warhead ignoring the radar cross section. The simulation results indicate that the errors between the estimated and the warhead trajectories are reduced to a small interval in a short time. Therefore, the radar can produce a beam to illuminate to the right area and keep tracking the warhead all the way. In conclusion, this algorithm is worthy of further study and application.

In this study, computational structural vibration analyses of a smart unmanned aerial vehicle (SUAV) with tilt-rotors due to dynamic hub loads have been conducted considering detailed supporting structures of installed equipments. Three-dimensional dynamic finite element model has been constructed for different fuel conditions and tilting angles corresponding to helicopter, transition and airplane flight modes. Practical computational procedure for modal transient response analysis is successfully established. Also, dynamic loads generated by rotating blades and wakes in the transient and forward flight conditions are calculated by unsteady computational fluid dynamics technique with sliding mesh concept. As the results of present study, transient structural displacements and accelerations of the vibration sensitive equipments are presented in detail. In addition, vibration characteristics of structures and installed equipments of which safe operation is normally limited by the vibration environment specifications are physically investigated for different flight conditions.

광고 태도와 브랜드 인지가 브랜드 태도에 미치는 상대적 영향력에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 직접비교 광고와 간접비교 광고, 그리고 일반광고와 비교하여 브랜드 태도 형성에 영향을 미치는 감정적(광고 태도), 인지적(브랜드 인지) 변수의 상대적 영향력을 측정하였다. 분석결과 직접비교 광고에서는 브랜드 인지가 브랜드 태도에 미치는 영향력이 광고 태도가 브랜드 태도에 미치는 영향력에 비해 훨씬 큰 것으로 나타났다. 간접비교 광고에서도 마찬가지로 브랜드 인지가 광고 태도에 비해 브랜드 태도에 더욱 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 직접비교 광고에 비해 그 차이가 상대적으로 작게 나타났다. 반면 일반광고에서는 광고 태도의 영향력이 브랜드 인지에 비해 더욱 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이번 연구를 통해 직접비교 광고뿐만 아니라 간접비교 광고에서도 소비자들이 인지적 노력을 통해 태도가 형성됨을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 그동안 국내 기업들이 상대적으로 꺼려왔던 직접비교 광고가 간접비교 광고에 비해 오히려 더욱 효과적일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. This study compares the relative effectiveness of affective factor(Ad attitude) and cognitive factor(Brand cognition) on brand attitude among three ad types - direct comparative, indirect comparative, and noncomparative ads. The results showed that in direct comparative advertising context the brand cognition is dominant in determining brand attitude. In indirect comparative advertising context brand cognition is also dominant in determining brand attitude, but the difference is less than direct comparative advertising. In noncomparative advertising context the ads attitude is dominant in determining brand attitude. According to research outcomes, it could be said that direct comparative advertising is more effective than indirect comparative advertising.

A model for analyzing churn effect in saturated markets

<B>Purpose</B> - The purpose of this paper is to propose a model that predicts information communication technology (ICT) adoption in saturated markets, to analyze the shifting behaviors of the subscribers and to present the results. <B>Design/methodology/approach</B> - By developing an expanded Bass model, the authors analyzed post-adopters' switching behaviors in the mobile phone market, using the officially verified time-series data for the number of mobile phone adopters in South Korea. <B>Findings</B> - The results show that: the expanded Bass diffusion model can delineate the stream of post-adopter's switching behaviors in saturated ICT markets; based on innovation value <I>p</I> and imitation value <I>q</I>, the authors conclude that customer immigrations during market saturated period are mainly caused by innovation effect, which is closely related to launching innovative products; and fast mover still has its imitation effect, which is closely related to first mover advantage. <B>Originality/value</B> - The paper provides novel insights for the frame of practical strategies. To survive in a saturated market, late movers should continuously develop new and innovative products. In addition, fast movers should also develop innovative products to prevent customer immigrations, and they also should utilize their first mover advantage more efficiently, even in matured market.

Robust Tracking Design Based on Adaptive Fuzzy Control of Uncertain Nonlinear MIMO Systems with Time Delayed States

It is proposed here to use a robust tracking design based on adaptive fuzzy control technique to control a class of multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) nonlinear systems with time delayed uncertainty in which each uncertainty is assumed to be bounded by an unknown gain. This technique will overcome modeling inaccuracies, such as drag and friction losses, effect of time delayed uncertainty, as well as parameter uncertainties. The proposed control law is based on indirect adaptive fuzzy control. A fuzzy model is used to approximate the dynamics of the nonlinear MIMO system; then, two on-line estimation schemes are developed to overcome the nonlinearities and identify the gains of the delayed state uncertainties, simultaneously. The advantage of employing an adaptive fuzzy system is the use of linear analytical results instead of estimating nonlinear system functions with an online update law. The adaptive fuzzy scheme uses a Variable Structure (VS) scheme to resolve the system uncertainties, time delayed uncertainty and the external disturbances such that H∞ tracking performance is achieved. The control laws are derived based on a Lyapunov criterion and the Riccati-inequality such that all states of the system are uniformly ultimately bounded (UUB). Therefore, the effect can be reduced to any prescribed level to achieve H∞ tracking performance. A two-connected inverted pendulums system on carts and a two-degree-of-freedom mass-spring-damper system are used to validate the performance of the proposed fuzzy technique for the control of MIMO nonlinear systems.
