Youngrok Song,Sangmin Lee,Yoseob Woo,Hongki Min 한국재활복지공학회 2009 한국재활복지공학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.2009 No.10
Context-aware technologies for u-Health services need researches to represent context-information appropriately, to grasp the user"s intention using context-information, and to provide services for users. In this paper, we propose the ontology based context-aware framework for u-Health services. The system provides ample power of expression and inference mechanisms to various context-information using an ontology-based context model. In this paper, we describe a scenario for u-Health services based on the ubiquitous computing environment to verify the utility of the system. The system for u-Health services represented context-information in domains as OWL-based ontology model effectively, and we confirmed the information was inferred to high-level context-information by user-defined rules.

<P>We studied noise characteristics of a nanocomposite of polyimide (PI) and phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) (denoted as PI:PCBM), a composite for the organic nonvolatile resistive memory material. The current fluctuations were investigated over a bias range that covers various intermediate resistive states and negative differential resistance (NDR) in organic nanocomposite unipolar resistive memory devices. From the analysis of the 1/<I>f</I>γ type noises, scaling behavior between the relative noise power spectral density <I>S̃</I> and resistance <I>R</I> was observed, indicating a percolating behavior. Considering a linear rate equation of the charge trapping–detrapping at traps, the percolation behavior and NDR could be understood by the modulation of the conductive phase fraction φ with an external bias. This study can enhance the understanding of the NDR phenomena in organic nanocomposite unipolar resistive memory devices in terms of the current path formation and the memory switching.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/ancac3/2015/ancac3.2015.9.issue-7/acsnano.5b03168/production/images/medium/nn-2015-03168q_0006.gif'></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/nn5b03168'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P>

<P>One of the long-standing problems in the field of organic electronics is their instability in an open environment, especially their poor water resistance. For the reliable operation of organic devices, introducing an effective protection layer using organo-compatible materials and processes is highly desirable. Here, we report a facile method for the depositing of an organo-compatible superhydrophobic protection layer on organic semiconductors under ambient conditions. The protection layer exhibiting excellent water-repellent and self-cleaning properties was deposited onto organic semiconductors directly using a dip-coating process in a highly fluorinated solution with fluoroalkylsilane-coated titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles. The proposed protection layer did not damage the underlying organic semiconductors and had good resistance against mechanical-, thermal-, light-stress-, and water-based threats. The protected organic field-effect transistors exhibited more-reliable electrical properties, even when exposed to strong solvents, due to its superhydrophobicity. This study provides a practical solution with which to enhance the reliability of environmentally sensitive organic semiconductor devices in the natural environment.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

<P>We fabricated 8?×?8 arrays of non-volatile resistive memory devices on commercially available Scotch® Magic™ tape as a flexible substrate. The memory devices consist of double active layers of Al2O3 with a structure of Au/Al2O3/Au/Al2O3/Al (50 nm/20 nm/20 nm/20 nm/50 nm) on attachable tape substrates. Because the memory devices were fabricated using only dry and low temperature processes, the tape substrate did not suffer from any physical or chemical damage during the fabrication. The fabricated memory devices were turned to the low resistance state at ∼3.5 V and turned to the high resistance state at ∼10 V with a negative differential resistance region after ∼5 V, showing typical unipolar non-volatile resistive memory behavior. The memory devices on the tape substrates exhibited reasonable electrical performances including a high ON/OFF ratio of 104, endurance over 200 cycles of reading/writing processes, and retention times of over 104 s in both the flat and bent configurations.</P>

Aims: Introduce a pre-transplant donor evaluation protocol for liver transplantation. Methods: At Step1, the general condition of a potential donor is evaluated. The assessment includs the medical history, body size, psychosocial circumstance, and basic blood and urine profile. Age is usually 16-60 years. A relationship between the recipient and donor should be within the third degree of consanguinity or an intense emotional relationship judged by ethical board of local committee. At Step 2, potential donor undergoes tests for viral and neoplastic disease and imaging studies for anatomy and quality of the liver. At Step 3, the invasive procedures including liver biopsy and additional consultations required to investigate the potential problems discovered during phases 1 and 2 are done. A preoperative liver biopsy was applied to the moderate steatosis from imaging studies. The volume of the liver is calculated by CT imaging. The biliary anatomy is confirmed by MRCP and primovist MRI. The presence of mild systemic diseases (e.g., well-controlled hypertension or diabetes) is not necessarily a contraindication. The donors are advised to stop smoking and drinking. The remnant liver volume ≥ 30% of the whole liver is recommended. If macrovesicular steatosis is ≥ 10%, we do liver biopsy and recommend diet control. Donors with a GRWR > 0.8% were generally accepted. Minimal variation of the anatomy of the liver has been accepted. If the whole process has been accepted, a donor surgeon decides operation’s type. Results: There was no mortality and the overall morbidity was < 6.0%, including 0.9% of major complications (> grade III). Conclusions In conclusion, meticulous donor evaluation is important for the successful LDLT.
