        개에서 이중 결찰법을 통한 동맥관 개존증의 완치 예

        A ten months old, female Yorkshire terrier weighing 2.88 kg referred to veterinary teaching hospital of college of veterinary medicine, Konkuk University because of syncope, cough and dyspnea. First hematological and serum chemical test revealed thrombocytopenia, mild anemia, and increase of concentration of ALP (195 U/L). On 57 days later, second hematological and serum chemical test revealed polycythemia, increase of concentration of ALP (211 U/L), and Tchol (387 mg/dl). Right atrium enlargement, main pulmonary artery bulge and cardiomegaly (VHS = 11.5) were observed in radiographic findings. Ultrasonographic images showed both right and left ventricular dilation and turbulent flow between the descending aorta and the main pulmonary artery in color Doppler imaging. ECG showed left ventricular enlargement, SA block, and electrical alternant. Thoracotomy was performed through left fourth intercostal incision under isoflurane anesthesia. Patent ductus arteriosus was double ligated with 1-0 silk. Cough and dyspnea disappeared on 5 days after operation. Turbulent flow was not found in color doppler imaging of ultrasonography on 10 days after operation. Ten months later after the operation, syncope could not exist any more.

        The incidence of aseptic meningitis infection is ensuing and threatening the health of children. Enteroviruses are the major agents of aseptic meningitis and identification of virus has been a clue to diagnosis and epidemiology. The outbreak of aseptic meningitis occurred in Pusan, 1998. Patients were concentrated from April through November. Children were more susceptible than adults. Among 306 cases of specimens from stool, throat swab tested, only 7.2% were positive on virus isolation, 12 cases from stool and 10 from throat, respectively. All isolated 7 serotypes of viruses represented cytopathic effect on cultured cells. Three types of echovirus 6, 25, 30 and coxsackievirus B2, B3, B4, B6 were identified by neutralizing anti body test. Isolated coxsackievirus and echovirus were observed by an electron microscope with negative staining.

      • PIV의 수리학 분야에의 적용

        This paper introduces PIV technique which can be used for velocity measurement in hydraulic engineering field. Some examples are presented : measurement of surface velocity using LSPIV ; measurement of flow characteristics and fall-velocity measurement using PTV. Results show that PIV can be applied widely to hydraulic engineering measurements, not only in the laboratory but also in the field.

      • 유포자성 유산균을 함유한 홍삼양갱의 개발에 관한 연구

        유포자성 유산균인 Lactobacillus sporogenes는 혐기 조건으로는 젖산 발효율 97%로 homolactic acid 발효를 하였고 호기 조건으로는 배양결과 생균수 20 × 10^(8)CFU/mL로 포자형성율도 97%를 얻었다. 또한 유포자성 유산균을 이용한 홍삼양갱을 제조하기 위하여 홍삼양갱의 반제품 1kg의 끓인액의 80℃에서 유포자성 유산균을 첨가{20g (spore수 200 × 10^(8) CFU/g)} 제조한 결과 {1.4 × 10^(8) CFU/g (유포자성 유산균 원말 20g/홍삼양갱 1kg)} 제조 후의 생존율이 70%를 유지하면서 끓인 홍삼양갱 제품에 이용 가능성이 높게 나타났다. 이 제품을 건강식품으로 실용후의 결과를 조사하기 위하여 인공위액(pH 3.0)에 대한 내산성을 조사한 결과 4시간 후에 생존율 50%로 나타났다. 그리고 실온에서 1년간 보존시험결과 생존율이 75% 이상으로 저장성이 우수하다고 판단된다. 이상의 결과에서 볼 때 유포자성 유산균을 함유한 홍삼양갱 등의 건강 기능식품의 개발 가능성이 있다고 사료된다. In order to develop red Genseng Thick Jelly containing lactic acid bacteria. Lactobacillus sporogenes spore which has resistance in heat and low pH was used. Jar fermentor culture of Lactobacillus sporogenes under aerobic condition was showed that the number of spore reached about 20×l0^(8)CFU/㎖ and sporulation rate was 97% and lactic acid production yield was 97% under anaerobic condition. The survival rate of Lactobacillus sporogenes spore showed 70% in the product after addition in 80℃ hot jelly solution. In the treatment of artificial gastric juice(pH 3.0) for 4 hours, the survival rate was 50%. It's storage stability was 70% during the 12 months at room temperature. These results suggest that red Genseng Thick Jelly containing lactic acid bacteria play a role as functional food.

      • 음향방출을 이용한 엔드밀의 마멸검출에 관한 연구

        This study is focused on the prediction of an appropriate tool life by clarifying the correlation between progressive tool wear and signals, when cutting SM45C by end mill in machining center. First of all, end mill have a problem that position of sensor sticking because it is revolution tool, I think that it can be gained specific character according to sticking sensor in the vise. Consequently, the following results have obtained: 1. Each cutting speed of feed rate over 0.1mm had a tendency to increase linearly according to the RMS. 2. The level of AE signal at the same cutting area was more sensitive to depth of cut than the variation of feed rate. 3. In the range of cutting during about 75min at cutting speed 27m/min flank wear turns up about 0.21mm, about 0.29mm in the case of about 65min at 33m/min, hereby RMS increased rapidly at 0.2mm flank wear, also AE-HIT and CUM-CNTS.

      • WASP5를 이용한 신갈저수지 하수종말 처리장 가동시의 부영양화 및 수질변화 예측

        As the amount of sewage is increased around Gi-heung, it is recommended to construct the terminal disposal plant of sewage in Singal reservoir. In this study, therefore, the effect of terminal disposal plant of sewage in Singal reservoir is estimated and predicted by using numerical model WASP5 which is useful for water quality simulation of river, lake and reservoir. The results reveal that the organic matter will be decreased when the plant is operated at the reservoir. However, the operation of disposal plant does not have significant effect on nutrient and therefore, the eutrophication is still expected in spite of the disposal plant construction.

        Paraquat 중독환자의 초기검사로서 sodium dithionite를 이용한 소변내 paraquat검출의 임상적 의의

        Background : Mortality from paraquat intoxication depends upon plasma paraquat concentration. To know the severity of paraquat intoxication is important for directing therapeutic modality and predicting prognosis. Sodium dithionite test for urinary paraquat provides an easy and simple method to determine the severity of paraquat intoxication in emergency department. purpose : To determine whether the result urinary paraquat test by sodium dithionite can predict outcome in patients with paraquat intoxication in emergency department. Subjects : 48 patients(male 31, female 17, mean age 37 years) who had exposure to paraquat and presented within 24 hours after exposure. Result : Thirty five patients were positive in paraquat urine test and thirteen patients were negative. Clinical manifestations were more severe in positive patients than in negatives. Complication was much more in positives than in negatives. 28 of 35 patients(80%) in positives and 2 of 13 patients(15%) in negatives died. Conclusion : Positive test for urinary paraquat is associated with high mortality and morbidity from paraquat intoxication, and qualitative test for urinary paraquat by sodium dithionite is an useful method to determine the severity of paraquat intoxication in emergency department.

        연 X-선 현미경을 이용한 금 나노입자 세포영상

        연 x-선 현미경은 ‘물의 창’ 영역(2.3~4.4 nm)의 파장을 이용하여, 수십 nm의 분해능으로 세포를 파괴하지 않고 살아있는 상태에서 세포의 내부구조를 관찰할 수 있어 가시광선현미경과 전자현미경을 단점을 보완하는 특징을 갖는 세포 생물학 연구에 적합한 현미경이다. 그러나 기존 연 x-선 현미경은 광원으로 방사선 가속기를 이용하기 때문에 사용이 제한적이었다. 이에, 본 연구에서는 2.88 nm의 연 x-선을 광원으로 사용하는 소형 연 x-선 현미경을 이용하여, 내포작용에 의해 금 나노입자를 포획한 HT1080과 MDA-MB 231 세포의 영상을 약 60 nm 분해능으로 획득하였다. 금 나노입자의 세포에 대한 독성을 제거하기 위하여 폴리에틸렌 글리콜을 캡핑하였고, 2.88 nm 파장의 연 x-선에 대하여 충분한 조영효과로 인하여 세포영상에서 뚜렷한 대조도를 나타내었다. 내포작용에 의해 액포에 포함되어 있는 다양한 크기의 금 나노입자 군집을 확인하였으며, 세포내부의 액포의 분포상태도 관찰할 수 있었다. 따라서 고분해능을 가진 소형 연 x-선 현미경을 이용하여 금 나노입자를 세포내의 미세기관이나 특정 단백질에 표지하면 연 x-선에 대한 조영효과의 증가에 의하여 더욱 유용한 정보를 획득할 수 있을 것으로 생각한다. A compact soft x-ray microscope operated in the ‘water window’ wavelength region (2.3~4.4 nm) was used for observing cells with nano-scale spatial resolution. To obtain cellular imaging captured with colloidal gold nanoparticles using a compact soft x-ray microscope. The colloidal gold nanoparticles showed higher contrast and lower transmission more than 7 times than that of cellular protein on the soft x-ray wavelength region. The structure and thickness of the cell membrane of the Coscinodiscus oculoides (diatome) and red blood cells were seen clearly. The gold nanoparticles within the HT1080 and MDA-MB 231 cells were seen clearly on the soft x-ray microscopy. The gold nanoparticles were aggregated within vesicles by endocytosis.
