Research on a Multi-Objective Control Strategy for Current-source PWM Rectifiers under Unbalanced and Harmonic Grid Voltage Conditions

        Yi-Wen Geng,Hai-Wei Liu,Ren-Xiong Deng,Fang-Fang Tian,Hao-Feng Bai,Kai Wang 전력전자학회 2018 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.18 No.1

Unbalanced and distorted grid voltages cause the grid side current of a current source PWM rectifier to be heavily distorted. They can also cause the DC-link current to fluctuate with a huge amplitude. In order to enhance the performance of a current-source PWM rectifier under unbalanced and harmonic grid voltage conditions, a mathematical model of a current-source PWM rectifier is established and a flexible multi-objective control strategy is proposed to control the DC-link current and grid-current. The fundamental positive/negative sequence, 5th and 7th order harmonic components of the grid voltage are first separated with the proposed control strategy. The grid current reference are optimized based on three objectives: 1) sinusoidal and symmetrical grid current, 2) sinusoidal grid current and elimination of the DC-current 2nd order fluctuations, and 3) elimination of the DC-current 2nd and 6th order fluctuations. To avoid separation of the grid current components, a multi-frequency proportional-resonant controller is applied to control the fundamental positive/negative sequence, 5th and 7th order harmonic current. Finally, experimental results verify the effectiveness of proposed control strategy.

An Improved Active Damping Method with Capacitor Current Feedback

        Yi-Wen Geng,Ya-Wen Qi,Hai-Wei Liu,Fei Guo,Peng-Fei Zheng,Yong-Gang Li,Wen-Ming Dong 전력전자학회 2018 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.18 No.2

Proportional capacitor current feedback active damping (CCFAD) has a limited valid damping region in the discrete time domain as (0, fs/6). However, the resonance frequency (fr) of an LCL-type filter is usually designed to be less than half the sampling frequency (fs) with the symmetry regular sampling method. Therefore, (fs/6, fs/2) becomes an invalid damping region. This paper proposes an improved CCFAD method to extend the valid damping region from (0, fs/6) to (0, fs/2), which covers all of the possible resonance frequencies in the design procedure. The full-valid damping region is obtained and the stability margin of the system is analyzed in the discrete time domain with the Nyquist criterion. Results show that the system can operate stably with the proposed CCFAD method when the resonance frequency is in the region (0, fs/2). The performances at the steady and dynamic state are enhanced by the selected feedback coefficient H and controller gain Kp. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed CCFAD method are verified by simulation and experimental results.

A New Method for Elimination of Zero-Sequence Voltage in Dual Three-Level Inverter Fed Open-End Winding Induction Motors

        Geng, Yi-Wen,Wei, Chen-Xi,Chen, Rui-Cheng,Wang, Liang,Xu, Jia-Bin,Hao, Shuang-Cheng The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2017 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.17 No.1

Due to the excessive zero-sequence voltage in dual three-level inverter fed open-end winding induction motor systems, zero-sequence circumfluence which is harmful to switching devices and insulation is then formed when operating in a single DC voltage source supplying mode. Traditionally, it is the mean value instead of instantaneous value of the zero-sequence voltage that is eliminated, through adjusting the durations of the operating vectors. A new strategy is proposed for zero-sequence voltage elimination, which utilizes unified voltage modulation and a decoupled SVPWM strategy to achieve two same-sized equivalent vectors for an angle of $120^{\circ}$, generated by two inverters independently. Both simulation and experimental results have verified its efficiency in the instantaneous value elimination of zero-sequence voltage.

Voltage Distortion Suppression for Off-grid Inverters with an Improved Load Current Feedforward Control

        Yi-Wen Geng,Xue Zhang,Xiaoqiang Li,Kai Wang,Xibo Yuan 전력전자학회 2017 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.17 No.3

The output voltage of an off-grid inverter is influenced by load current, and the voltage harmonics especially the 5th and 7th are increased with nonlinear loads. In this paper, to attenuate the output voltage harmonics of off-grid inverters with nonlinear loads nearby, a load current feedforward is proposed. It is introduced to a voltage control loop based on the Positive and Negative Sequence Harmonic Regulator (PNSHR) compensation to modify the output impedance at selective frequencies. The parameters of the PNSHR are revised with the output impedance of the off-grid inverter, which minimizes the output impedance of the off-grid inverter. Experimental results verify the proposed method, showing that the output voltage harmonics caused by nonlinear loads can be effectively suppressed.

An Improved Active Damping Method with Capacitor Current Feedback

Proportional capacitor current feedback active damping (CCFAD) has a limited valid damping region in the discrete time domain as (0, $f_s/6$. However, the resonance frequency ($f_r$) of an LCL-type filter is usually designed to be less than half the sampling frequency ($f_s$) with the symmetry regular sampling method. Therefore, ($f_s/6$, $f_s/2$) becomes an invalid damping region. This paper proposes an improved CCFAD method to extend the valid damping region from (0, $f_s/6$ to (0, $f_s/2$), which covers all of the possible resonance frequencies in the design procedure. The full-valid damping region is obtained and the stability margin of the system is analyzed in the discrete time domain with the Nyquist criterion. The performances at the steady and dynamic state are enhanced by the selected feedback coefficient H and controller gain $K_p$. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed CCFAD method are verified by simulation and experimental results.

Molecular Cloning, Segmental Distribution and Ontogenetic Regulation of Cationic Amino Acid Transporter 2 in Pigs

        Zou, Shi-geng,Zhi, Ai-min,Zhou, Xiang-yan,Zuo, Jian-jun,Zhang, Yan,Huang, Zhi-yi,Xu, Ping-Wen,Feng, Ding-yuan Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2009 Animal Bioscience Vol.22 No.5

The goal of this study was to elucidate the expression and segmental distribution of the glomerular cationic amino acid metabolism transporter-2 (CAT-2) and thus to improve our understanding of porcine cationic amino acid transporters and amino acid absorption. Porcine CAT-2 was cloned, sequenced and characterized. The predicted amino acid sequence of porcine CAT-2 shared 86.1% and 92.1% identity with human and mouse CAT-2A, respectively. The tissue distribution patterns and ontogenic changes of CAT-2 mRNAs were determined by real-time Q-PCR. The results showed that porcine CAT-2 was highly expressed in the heart and intestinal tract (duodenum, ileum and jejunum). In addition, the mRNA of CAT-2 was found in liver, lung, kidney, brain and muscle. Within the intestinal tract, CAT-2 mRNA was most abundant in the ileum and rarely expressed in the duodenum. In the duodenum, the levels of CAT-2 mRNA reached their peak on day 7 (p<0.05) while in the jejunum, levels were low on day 1 and 7 and increased rapidly after day 26 before peaking on days 30 and 60 (p<0.05). The levels then dramatically decreased by day 90 (p<0.05). In the ileum, levels achieved their maximum on day 30 and then decreased significantly on day 60 (p<0.05).

Apatinib Combined with Local Irradiation Leads to Systemic Tumor Control via Reversal of Immunosuppressive Tumor Microenvironment in Lung Cancer

        Li-jun Liang,Chen-xi Hu,Yi-xuan Wen,Xiao-wei Geng,Ting Chen,Guo-qing Gu,Lei Wang,You-you Xia,Yong Liu,Jia-yan Fei,Jie Dong,Feng-hua Zhao,Yiliyar Ahongjiang,Kai-yuan Hui,Xiao-dong Jiang 대한암학회 2020 Cancer Research and Treatment Vol.52 No.2

Purpose This study aimed to investigate the potential systemic antitumor effects of stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) and apatinib (a novel vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 inhibitor) via reversing the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment for lung carcinoma. Materials and Methods Lewis lung cancer cells were injected into C57BL/6 mice in the left hindlimb (primary tumor; irradiated) and in the right flank (secondary tumor; nonirradiated). When both tumors grew to the touchable size, mice were randomly divided into eight treatment groups. These groups received normal saline or three distinct doses of apatinib (50 mg/kg, 150 mg/kg, and 200 mg/kg) daily for 7 days, in combination with a single dose of 15 Gy radiotherapy or not to the primary tumor. The further tumor growth/regression of mice were followed and observed. Results For the single 15 Gy modality, tumor growth delay could only be observed at the primary tumor. When combining SABR and apatinib 200 mg/kg, significant retardation of both primary and secondary tumor growth could be observed, indicated an abscopal effect was induced. Mechanism analysis suggested that programmed death-ligand 1 expression increased with SABR was counteract by additional apatinib therapy. Furthermore, when apatinib was combined with SABR, the composition of immune cells could be changed. More importantly, this two-pronged approach evoked tumor antigen–specific immune responses and the mice were resistant to another tumor rechallenge, finally, long-term survival was improved. Conclusion Our results suggested that the tumor microenvironment could be managed with apatinib, which was effective in eliciting an abscopal effect induced by SABR.

Stability Analysis of Grid-Connected Inverters with an LCL Filter Considering Grid Impedance

Li, Xiao-Qiang,Wu, Xiao-Jie,Geng, Yi-Wen,Zhang, Qi The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2013 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.13 No.5

Under high grid impedance conditions, it is difficult to guarantee the stability of grid-connected inverters with an LCL filter designed based on ideal grid conditions. In this paper, the theoretical basis for output impedance calculation is introduced. Based on the small-signal model, the d-d channel closed-loop output impedance models adopting the converter-side current control method and the grid-side current control method are derived, respectively. Specifically, this paper shows how to simplify the stability analysis which is usually complemented based on the generalized Nyquist stability criterion (GNC). The stability of each current-controlled grid-connected system is analyzed via the proposed simplified method. Moreover, the influence of the LCL parameters on the stability margin of grid-connected inverter controlled with converter-side current is studied. It is shown that the stability of grid-connected systems is fully determined by the d-d channel output admittance of the grid-connected inverter and the inductive component of the grid impedance. Experimental results validate the proposed theoretical stability analysis.
