      • H-pile과 콘크리트로 합성된 철근콘크리트 지하벽 접합부의 전단성능에 관한 연구

        In general, conventional sheeting H-pile is often used as a temporary member installed upon construction of outer retaining wall at basement floors. However, it is noted that H-pile and reinforced concrete wall with certain thickness can be effectively composited by shear connectors. Hence, in order to acquire possible higher resistances from composite behaviors of H-pile and concrete wall structure, this study intends to investigate the behavior of joint in composite wall structure under shear stress, and know the effects of additional U or C type reinforcement. Push out test is performed for four specimens and their resistances are analyzed. From the test, the shear resistance was increased by using U or closed C type connectors.

        Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura(ITP) is an autoimmune bleeding disorder characterized by the development of antibodies to one's own platelets, which are then destroyed by phagocytosis in the spleen and liver. Its clinical manifestations are characterized by bleeding and the most serious complication is hemorrhage into the central nervous system, but which is rarely seen below 1%. In treating IPT, the therapy of first chice is administration of adrenocorticosteroid and r-globuline. If satisfactory results are not obtained, then splenectomy is recommended. If this also proves inadequate, then administration of immunosuppressants is carried out. 16-year-old male was admitted with complaints of left hemiplegia and nasal bleeding. This case may be developed spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage causing thrombocytopenia and was treated by steroid, r-globuline and splenectomy, but satisfactory results are not obtained. After all, the paient was successfully treated with cyclophosphamide.

      • ALC block 벽체의 횡력에 대한 구조성능

        The advantages of ALC products with higher insulating and fire-resistant properity are to reduce the term of construction work and the construction cost. Recently, their usefulness are very widely increased in the building constructions as the structural or nonstructural elements. Block wall is a type of ALC member broadly used in the building construction. The objective of this paper is to estimate the structural performance of the ALC block walls by the experimental study. The shear capacity and crack pattern of infilled ALC block wall are verified. From the study, it was shown that the cracks were initiated from the mortar and extended to the mortar line, even though the compressive strength of mortar was more than three times of ALC block.

        한국인의 구강위생용품 사용실태에 관한 조사연구

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the actual state of Koreans' behavior about the use of oral hygiene devices and to collect the baseline data for developing appropriate educational objectives to improve dental health. Questionnaires were used to personally interview 1,685 residents in Korea. The obtained results were as fallows; 1. Average head size of toothbrushes was 23.2㎜ in children, 28.2㎜ im adults. 2. The averagep percent of using dentifrice containing fluoride at home was 66.7% in children, 71.4% in adults. 3. The average percent of using orthodontic toothbrushes was 50.5% in orthodontic patients, and the average percent of using interdental burshes was only 16.9% in orthodontic patients. 4. The average percent of using dental floss was 22.3% in periodontic patients, and the average percent of using interdental brushes was 16.5% in periodonitc patients. 5. The patients usually use oral hygiene devices by means of dentals' suggestions and commercial advertisement. 6. Generally few people use auxiliary oral hygiene devices. To improve the oral health starus effectively, more improved and correct informations and materials should be provide to dentists, dental hygienists and patients.

      • 보-기둥 접합부 Rigidity에 따른 PC 골조건물의 응답저감계수 변화에 관한 연구

        Current design codes(1997 UBC, 1997 NEHRP Provisions) for precast concrete frame structures require the use of strong connections, unless the strength of the connectors at the required ductilities are demonstrated to be adequate by both suitable experimental and analytical methods. Then the response modification factors(RMF) appropriate for precast concrete frame buildings are to be the same as those for monolithic concrete frame buildings. However, where plastic hinging occurs in a connection , the expected response of the precast concrete frame building will differ from that of the monolithic frame building and depend on the characteristics of the connection. For that condition, estimates of the appropriate RMF for the precast concrete frame buildings are required because the response of such buildings may differ from those for monolithic frame concrete buildings. This study evaluates the nonlinear response characteristics of precast concrete frame buildings where plastic hinging occurs in the precast connection. Designs were developed for buildings 5, 10, and 15 stories in height for moderate seismic risk region of the U.S. The response of the buildings were analyzed using DRAIN-2DX(1992) and following the Nonlinear Static Analysis procedure. The main variables of the analysis are the strength and stiffness of the connection. Also, for the analysis, the bi-linear response model developed and inserted into the DRAIN-2DX program by Shan Shi and D. Fouch(1997), are used. It was shown that the strength of the buildings as well as their displacement capacities decreased with decrease of either the strength or stiffness in the connections. Therefore such changes also require reductions in RMF values for the buildings. The decreasing ratio of RMF of precast concrete frame buildings in accordance with reduced stiffness and strength of connection is proposed.

      • 합성지하벽 철골부재 설치를 위한 앵커볼트의 인발내력에 관한 연구

        This paper presents the evaluation on the tensile strength of anchors embedded in concrete that can cause a brittle failure of the concrete. The pull-out test for set anchor and set strong anchor, domestically manufactured and installed in plain concrete member is conducted. Test parameters in the test, are anchor type, diameter, and embedded length. Also, design of post-installed steel anchors by the Concrete Capacity Design(CCD) approach, is presented. This approach is compared with the well-known provision ACI 318-05. In addition, these two process are evaluated by comparing with the test results. Test results showed that set anchor made of stainless had 10% lower strength than normal one. For all specimens, the calculated strength by ACI code was almost two times higher than test result. But similar calculation strength to test result can be given when CCD process is adopted.

      • 반복하중을 받는 철근콘크리트 골조 Knee Joint의 이력특성에 관한 연구

        In the beam-column joint or its adjoining parts, the plastic hinges may be formed due to the repeated stress concentrated on the connection between vertical and horizontal members under cyclic loading as earthquake load. Also these control overall behavior of structure so that the joint design is one of most important parts. Most studies the connection have focused on the lowest floor beam-column joints since the first plastic hinge is developed adjacent to connection of lower floor . In the top floor, the uses of larger diameter reinforcing bars is often prevented due to the geometric limitations such as the difficulties of fabrication, construction, and concrete placement. In additionm, hooks of reinforcing bar can lead to develope local failure and slip due to weak anchorage capacity caused by congestion of rein forements. With the increasing tendency for construction of high-rise reinforced concrete buildings, it is required to use high-strength materials, smaller member sections and larger reinforcing bars; therefore, steel arrangement in the beam-column joint expect to be more congested. The purpose of this experimental study is to investigate hysteretic behavior of the top floor corner joint with various arrangement details.

      • 휨이 지배하는 건축 합성지하벽의 非線型 擧動에 관한 硏究

        In the design of retaining wall, generally, H-PILE is used to be considered as not structural member but temporary one. However, if the H-PILE has structural resistance for horizontal earth pressure, the structural capacity of retaining wall system can be enhanced. Especially, the contribution of H-PILE to the structural resistance is to be maximized when it behavior as a composite member with retaining wall. In this paper, an analytical study is presented for Composite Basement Wall(CBW) combined H-PILE and retaining wall by shear connector. previous test results for CBW are summarized and the flexural behavior of the composite wall is estimated by the non-linear finite element program, ATENA. In the modeling of shear connectors which connect steel beam and concrete wall, simple interface element is used. From the analytical result, it is shown that the flexural behavior of CBW can be predicted by using ATENA.

      • 入力 力率을 變數로 하는 Var 시스템 運轉

        In this paper, the way that input power factor as a control variable is provided as one unit is projected. From the view of practical system, capacitance and TCR reactor are to have internal resistance, therefore, the efficiency and precision of the control decrease. In case that reactive power or reactive current are used as variable, internal resistance loss and control deviation, as much as the reactor of system can not be acuratly dealed and as distortion reactive power, cause an error in reactive power compensation and power*factor improvement. According to this point of view, this paper could provide the unit power factor improvement control by using the input power*factor as a control variable. As a result, the input power factor which has state deviation error of±2[%] of controller can be preserved, and basically, Var system used in this experiment was supposed to compensate the reactive power. So there is little effect on decreasing of harmonics content but quite good result on harmonics suppression is achieved by using the simple first order of high field filter.
