Electrical properties of fuel cell based on DNA film
Yasumitsu Matsuo,Go Kumasaka,Junko Hatori,Keiko Saito,Seiichiro Ikehata 한국물리학회 2006 Current Applied Physics Vol.6 No.3
We have investigated the electrical properties of a fuel cell based on DNA lm. It is found that open-circuit voltage appears in theDNA lm, optimum condition exists. From the analyses of the frequency dependence of electrical conductivity, it is also found that elec-trical conductivity consists of the component of electrical conductivity caused by the dielectric dispersion, and the component of DCelectrical conductivity. Furthermore, we have found that the ratio,d, of DC conductivity to the component caused by dielectric disper-sion becomes large in the middle-humidity region between 17% and 60% and reaches a maximum at approximately 57% where open-loss are achieved. From these results, it is deduced that optimum conduction of the fuel cell based on DNA lm is determined bynot only the proton conductivity but also by the dielectric loss accompanied by the dielectric dispersion.
Behavior of Residual Charges in Water-tree DegradedXLPE Sheets and Cable
Yasumitsu Ebinuma,Noriaki Masui 한국전기전자재료학회 2006 Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Material Vol.7 No.5
Many studies have been done on the application of residual charge measurement in cable degradation diagnosis. In this paper, the behavior of residual charges measured with water-tree degraded XLPE sheets and cable are discussed. At charge injection process, the charge is injected by applying dc voltage as a conventional method, suddenly cut-off ac voltage or impulse voltage. Therefore the residual charge is influenced by the applying process. At charge release process, transient dc current flows when applying ac high voltage and also ac high voltage superimposed to dc low voltage. From the results, new diagnosis method is suggested.

A field effect transistor (FET) based on the ferroelectric tri-glycine sulfate (TGS) single crystal and pentacene film has been fabricated and the electrical properties have been investigated. It was found that the drain current decreases drastically with the increase of the gate electric field at around 100 V/cm, and shows a minimum at 400 V/cm which corresponds to the coercive electric field of TGS. This decrease of the drain current is caused by the appearance of the depletion layer in the pentacene film. This result indicates that the FET based on the TGS single crystal and pentacene film operates at low gate electric field owing to the rapid generation of the surface charge accompanied by the appearance of the spontaneous polarization in the ferroelectric TGS insulator. It was also found that the drain current does not return to the initial value (before the gate electric field of 450 V/cm is applied) for one week even if the gate electric field is turned from 450 to 0 V/cm. This result indicates that the surface charge of pentacene remains for one week. From these results, it is suggested that the FET based on the TGS single crystal and pentacene film shows the memory effect.
Patent Issues in Telemedicine, especially in developing countries
Yasumitsu TOMIOKA,Isao NAKAJIMA 한국멀티미디어학회 2011 한국멀티미디어학회 국제학술대회 Vol.2011 No.-
This paper intends to specifically verify what patent issues may be encountered in the telemedicine. Where “telemedicine” is defined as “the use of electronic information and communication technologies to provide and support health care when distance separates the participants”, the technologies are concerned, when discussing the “telemedicine”, and we cannot avoid thinking about “patent” that serves to protect the “technologies” as rights, especially as exclusive rights. This patent issues acts as a hindrance factor against spreading and promoting the telemedicine. To solve this hindrance factor, i.e. the patent issues, and for the purpose of spreading and promoting the telemedicine so that the benefit of medicine may reach everybody, including the people living in the developing countries, to improve the health of people all over the world, it seems extremely important to recognize the presence of “patent issues” in the field of “telemedicine”.

Analysis on Pathos for Elderly Patient’s Care
Kaoru NAKADA,Hiroshi JUZOJI,Yasumitsu TOMIOKA,Isao NAKAJIMA 한국멀티미디어학회 2011 한국멀티미디어학회 국제학술대회 Vol.2011 No.-
In this paper, we intend to report the idea of sharing pathos via broadband circuit to care elderly patient. We have performed several experiment and confirmed their reaction with the huge display system. It is a small in size of virtual reality environment of CAVE. We believe that the pathos element might be very important to care elderly patient at home via broadband communication circuit.
