Gradient doping simulation of perovskite solar cells with CH3NH3Sn1−xPbxI3 as the absorber layer
Yang Qingchen,Yang Sui,Xi Tingting,Li Hongxing,Yi Jie,Zhong Jianxin 한국물리학회 2022 Current Applied Physics Vol.44 No.-
In this study, we built a perovskite solar cells(PSCs) model with a Au/CuSCN/CH3NH3Sn1-xPbxI3/TiO2/FTO glass structure using the SCAPS program and use polynomial fitting to obtain the relationship between the conduction/valence bands of CH3NH3Sn1-xPbxI3 and the x value, which is more complex and accurate than that in any previous research. The influences of thickness, electron and hole mobilities, relative permittivity, effective conduction band density, effective valence band density, and the value of x on the solar cell performance are analyzed. Furthermore, we simulate the situation where the doping concentration changes with the absorption layer depth of the device and a special bandgap is formed. The power conversion efficiency of the device improves from 19.96% to 20.52%, with an open-circuit voltage of 0.776 V, a short-circuit current of 33.79 mA/cm2, and a filling factor of 77.39% when double gradient doping is performed. The application value of gradient doping in the device absorption layer is obtained.

The bacterial community living in the insect gut may play an important role in nutrition, immunity and protection, detoxification of toxins, and inter- and intra-specific communication. Rice leaffolder Cnaphalocrocis medinalis (Guenée) (Lepidoptera: Crambidae) is a notorious pest in rice, and the diversity of the gut bacteria of C. medinalis across life stages are not well understood. Here, the diversity and abundance of the gut bacterial community in C. medinalis through life stages were investigated using Illumina Miseq technology. A total of 22 bacterial phyla, 42 classes, 100 orders, 179 families, 350 genera and 395 species were identified across the different life stages of C. medinalis. Proteobacteria and Firmicutes phyla were the dominant bacterial taxa. Members of the genera Enterococcus, unclassified Enterobacteriaceae, Wolbachia, Acinetobacter, Stenotrophomonas, Microbacterium, Bacillus, Corynebacterium, Lampropedia, and Sphingobacterium were found at all life stages. Enterococcus and unclassified Enterobacteriaceae occupied higher relative abundance among bacteria community in the 2nd to 5th instar larvae, pupae and adults. The structure of bacterial community differed across the life stages of C. medinalis. Our findings will enrich the understanding of gut bacteria in C. medinalis, and will provide foundation and assistance for the development of novel pest management strategies through utilization of microbiota.

This paper describes the development and result of ground experiment and analyzes the on-orbit operation of Loop heat pipes (LHP) for the Chinese circumlunar return and reentry spacecraft. A novel LHP was developed to satisfy the thermal control requirements of Inertial measurement units (IMU). The LHP consisted of an integrated evaporator subassembly, a cambered condenser, and an electric explosion valve. Ground experiments were conducted to investigate the startup characteristics, and heat transfer and heat insulation performance of the LHPs. During a flight mission, the LHPs work as a thermal switch and perform both heat transfer and insulation functions. Before returning to the earth’s atmosphere, the valves of the reentry capsule are opened to discharge working fluid and prevent heat transfer from the capsule wall to the devices. In the flight mission, the LHPs performed all the required functions, and the IMU temperatures were maintained within an allowable range.

This paper reports a one-step synthesis of hybrid rod-like and spherical silver particles and its application in the silver front contact paste for crystalline silicon solar cells. The hybrid silver particles were synthesized by reducing silver nitrate in ethylene glycol. X-ray diffraction indicated that the hybrid silver particles were well crystallized with no crystallographic impurities. Scanning electron microscopy showed that the rod-like particles in the hybrid particles were 0.2 μm to 0.5 μm in width and 1 μm to 4 μm in length, and that the average size of the spherical particles was 0.5 μm. The fabricated crystalline silicon solar cell based on the as-prepared hybrid silver particles showed good photovoltaic performance.
An investigation of DNA-like structured dye-sensitized solar cells

This paper reports a 3D DNA-like structured dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) with all-Ti substrates. A selforganized TiO2 nanotubular arrays layer was directly grown on the photoanode surface by electrochemical anodization. Compared with the traditional flat-type DSSC, the DNA-like DSSC showed superiority of light utilization due to its symmetrical double-helix structure. Different thickness of the nanotubular arrays layers were investigated to find their influence on the cell’s photovoltaic parameters, and the cell with a 15.3 ㎛ layer exhibited the highest Pmax, about 0.49 mW. The series.parallel connection characteristics of the DNA-like DSSCs reveal that the total voltage and the total short current equalled the sum of each cell’s in series and in parallel, respectively. It is anticipated that the novel DNA-like structured DSSCs have great application potential in larger modules using integrated circuit.

Psychiatric symptoms are common after traumatic brain injury (TBI), and some patients have poor drug therapeutic efficacy. We report a successfully treated case of psychiatric symptoms after TBI using deep brain stimulation (DBS) to the anterior limb of internal capsule (ALIC)-nucleus accumbens (NAc) in a 76-year-old woman. The patient suffered from auditory hallucination, mood changes, and insomnia caused by TBI. Psychological test assessment showed the scores of Hamilton Anxiety Scale, Hamilton Depression Scale and Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale were 30, 35, and 96 respectively. Head magnetic resonance imaging scan showed right temporal lobe encephalomalacia. Head magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) showed bilateral basal ganglia choline increased relatively. After DBS to the ALIC-NAc, the target parameters were adjusted. The psychiatric symptoms were completely improved and the result of head MRS was normal in the end. The current report declares that DBS is reversible, adjustable and safe in the treatment of psychiatric symptoms caused by TBI. DBS to the ALIC-NAc should be considered as a possible treatment choice once a patient showed psychiatric symptoms after TBI.
