HCBP6 upregulates human SREBP1c expression by binding to C/EBPβ-binding site in the SREBP1c promoter

( Xueliang Yang ),( Ming Han ),( Shunai Liu ),( Xiaoxue Yuan ),( Xiaojing Liu ),( Shenghu Feng ),( Li Zhou ),( Yaru Li ),( Hongping Lu ),( Jun Cheng ),( Shumei Lin ) 생화학분자생물학회(구 한국생화학분자생물학회) 2018 BMB Reports Vol.51 No.1

Sterol regulatory element-binding protein-1c (SREBP1c) plays an important role in triglyceride (TG) homeostasis. Although our previous study showed that hepatitis C virus core-binding protein 6 (HCBP6) regulates SREBP1c expression to maintain intracellular TG homeostasis, the mechanism underlying this regulation is unclear. In the present study, we found that HCBP6 increased intracellular TG levels by upregulating SREBP1c expression. HCBP6 increased SREBP1c transcription by directly binding to the SREBP1c promoter (at the -139- to +359-bp region). Moreover, we observed that HCBP6 interacted with C/EBPβ-binding site in the SREBP1c promoter both in vitro and in vivo. These results indicate that HCBP6 upregulates human SREBP1c expression by binding to the C/EBPβ-binding site in the SREBP1c promoter. [BMB Reports 2018; 51(1): 33-38]

A Topological Transformation and Hierarchical Compensation Capacitor Control in Segmented On-road Charging System for Electrical Vehicles

Liu, Han,Tan, Linlin,Huang, Xueliang,Guo, Jinpeng,Yan, Changxin,Wang, Wei The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2016 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.16 No.4

Experiencing power declines when the secondary coil is at the middle position between two primary coils is a serious problem in segmented on-road charging systems with a single energized segmented primary coil. In this paper, the topological transformation of a primary circuit and a hierarchical compensation capacitor control are proposed. Firstly, the corresponding compensation capacitors and receiving powers of different primary structures are deduced under the condition of a fixed frequency. Then the receiving power characteristics as a function of the position variations in systems with a single energized segmented primary coil and those with double segmented primary coils are analyzed comparatively. A topological transformation of the primary circuit and hierarchical compensation capacitor control are further introduced to solve the foregoing problem. Finally, an experimental prototype with the proposed topological transformation and hierarchical compensation capacitor control is carried out. Measured results show that the receiving power is a lot more stable in the movement of the secondary coil. It is a remarkable fact that the receiving power rises from 10.8W to 19.2W at the middle position between the two primary coils. The experimental are in agreement with the theoretical analysis.

DFT study of the oxidation of Hg0 by O2 on an Mn-doped buckled g-C3N4 catalyst

        Liu Shuai,Xu Mengxia,Chen Yipei,Mu Xueliang,Yu Jiahui,Yang Gang,Luo Xiang,Jiang Peng,Wu Tao 한국물리학회 2022 Current Applied Physics Vol.40 No.-

Due to the water-insoluble nature of Hg0, its oxidization to Hg2+, which is water-soluble, is a viable approach for its effective removal at coal-fired plants using existing flue gas desulfurization (FGD) unit. In this study, the adsorption and oxidation of elemental mercury on an Mn-doped g-C3N4 material were investigated. The spinpolarized density functional theory method was adapted to optimize the geometry structures and then to determine the corresponding electronic structures, while the CI-NEB method was adopted to search for the stable intermediates during the reaction(s). The analysis of energy and project density of states shows that the Mn-g- C3N4 exhibits an excellent affinity to Hg atoms. It is found that it is feasible for Hg atoms to oxidize on the Mn-g- C3N4 surface via two possible E-R paths, but with relatively high energy barriers. This research provides insights into a viable way for mercury removal using O2 as the oxidizing agent.

Transition Control of Standby and Operation Modes of Wireless Charging System for Inspection Robots

Liu, Han,Tan, Linlin,Huang, Xueliang,Czarkowski, Dariusz The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2019 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.19 No.3

To solve the problems in the contact charging of inspection robots, a wireless charging system for inspection robots and a control strategy are introduced in this paper. Circuit models of a wireless power system with a compound compensation circuit and a three-phase Class-D resonant inverter are set up based on circuit theory. An output voltage control method based on the equal spread regulation of the phase difference between adjacent phases and the parameter correction method in the primary compound compensation circuit are proposed. The dynamic characteristics of the key parameters varying with the secondary coil position are obtained to further investigate the adaptive location scheme during the access and exit processes of moving robots. Combining the output voltage control method and the adaptive location scheme, a transition control strategy for the standby and operation modes of the wireless charging systems for inspection robots is put forward to realize the system characteristics including the low standby power in the standby mode and the high receiving power in the operation mode. Finally, experiments are designed and conducted to verify the correctness of the theoretical research.

On bending, buckling and vibration of graphene nanosheets based on the nonlocal theory

        Jinjian Liu,Ling Chen,Feng Xie,Xueliang Fan,Cheng Li 국제구조공학회 2016 Smart Structures and Systems, An International Jou Vol.17 No.2

The nonlocal static bending, buckling, free and forced vibrations of graphene nanosheets are examined based on the Kirchhoff plate theory and Taylor expansion approach. The nonlocal nanoplate model incorporates the length scale parameter which can capture the small scale effect. The governing equations are derived using Hamilton\'s principle and the Navier-type solution is developed for simply-supported graphene nanosheets. The analytical results are proposed for deflection, natural frequency, amplitude of forced vibration and buckling load. Moreover, the effects of nonlocal parameter, half wave number and three-dimensional sizes on the static, dynamic and stability responses of the graphene nanosheets are discussed. Some illustrative examples are also addressed to verify the present model, methodology and solution. The results show that the new nanoplate model produces larger deflection, smaller circular frequencies, amplitude and buckling load compared with the classical model.

Correlation analysis and prognostic value of miR-29a-3p expression and CYP2C19 genotypes in exfoliated cells from tongue coating of patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease

        Zhang Aiqing,Liu Wenjuan,Niu Lingyun,Zhu Liping,Yang Liuqing,Li Xueliang 한국유전학회 2023 Genes & Genomics Vol.45 No.5

Background Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a highly prevalent and troublesome disease. Several differentially expressed microRNAs (miRNAs) have been found in GERD. Objective This study was to analyze the correlation of miR-29a-3p expression and CYP2C19 genotypes in exfoliated cells from tongue coating of GERD patients and its prognostic value. Methods Tongue coating specimens were collected from 130 GERD patients and 70 healthy volunteers and their clinical baseline information was recorded. miR-29a-3p expression in exfoliated cells from tongue coating was determined via RT-qPCR, and its diagnostic efficiency on GERD was evaluated via receiver operating characteristic curve. CYP2C19 genotypes and their correlation with miR-29a-3p were analyzed via polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length polymorphism technique. The adverse events of patients were documented via 12-month follow-up. The impact of miR-29a-3p expression on the healing rate of patients was analyzed via Kaplan-Meier method. Qualification of miR-29a-3p as an independent prognostic factor of GERD patients was analyzed via multivariate Cox regression analysis. Results miR-29a-3p was highly-expressed in exfoliated cells from tongue coating of GERD patients. miR-29a-3p expression had high specificity and sensitivity in diagnosing GERD. CYP2C19 genotypes in GERD patients comprised rapid metabolizers, intermedia metabolizers, and poor metabolizers. miR-29a-3p expression showed a correlation with CYP2C19 genotypes. Higher miR-29a-3p expression predicted higher cumulative incidences of adverse outcomes. Highly-expressed miR-29a-3p was an independent prognostic factor for adverse outcomes of GERD patients. Conclusion High expression of miR-29a-3p aided the diagnosis and predicted poor prognosis of GERD patients.

      • The relationship of Rockfall Scars Structure with Magnitude - Cumulative - Frequency

        ( Juanjuan Sun ),( Xueliang Wang ),( Haiyang Liu ) 대한지질공학회 2019 대한지질공학회 학술발표회논문집 Vol.2019 No.2

Rockfalls are exist universally in mountain regions, steep cliffs and rock slopes with a high risk of personal safety and severely destructive of property or infrastructures. The rock mass instability and different magnitude rockfalls frequency are closely related to the rock mass structural geometry character. With the development of three - dimension rockfall modeling algorithms and tools during the last decade, we could see more about bedrock failure mechanisms and rockfall frequency under the control of rockfall scars geometry. Based the three-dimensional real scene model data of UAV point cloud, block size, volumetric joint count, joints spacing and average length of joints are carried out with statistical analysis. In this paper, we discuss cumulative frequency relation of the block size, volumetric joint count, and joints spacing, found that the block size and the volumetric joint count are follow power law distribution, with the exponent b adjusted in the range of 0.5~0.9 and 0.4~0.6, respectively. We establish the relationship of rockfall scars structure with rockfall frequency, assess its suitability. The relation can be used as a preliminary method to estimate the rockfall frequency.

Product Adoption Maximization Leveraging Social Influence and User Interest Mining

( Ping Ji ),( Hui Huang ),( Xueliang Liu ),( Xueyou Hu ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2021 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.15 No.6

A Social Networking Service (SNS) platform provides digital footprints to discover users’ interests and track the social diffusion of product adoptions. How to identify a small set of seed users in a SNS who is potential to adopt a new promoting product with high probability, is a key question in social networks. Existing works approached this as a social influence maximization problem. However, these approaches relied heavily on text information for topic modeling and neglected the impact of seed users’ relation in the model. To this end, in this paper, we first develop a general product adoption function integrating both users’ interest and social influence, where the user interest model relies on historical user behavior and the seed users’ evaluations without any text information. Accordingly, we formulate a product adoption maximization problem and prove NP-hardness of this problem. We then design an efficient algorithm to solve this problem. We further devise a method to automatically learn the parameter in the proposed adoption function from users’ past behaviors. Finally, experimental results show the soundness of our proposed adoption decision function and the effectiveness of the proposed seed selection method for product adoption maximization.
