      • Research on Optimization Adjustment Strategy for SaaS Multi-tenant Data Placement

Li Xiaona,Li Qingzhong,Zhu Weiyi,Li Hui 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Grid and Distributed Comp Vol.8 No.2

In order to meet the requirements for data access by tenants and management by service providers, the multi-tenant data stored in cloud using replica technology must be reasonably placed. For the outweight nodes and the ultra light nodes, according to characteristics of the multi-tenant data and the load of nodes, through adjusting the number and position of the replicas to maintenance and optimization the strategy so that meet the SLA requirements meanwhile minimize the overall cost. Experimental results through comparison with random placement strategy and greedy placement policy demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

Expression of selenium-independent glutathione peroxidase 5 (GPx5) in the epididymis of Small Tail Han sheep

        Li, Ruilan,Fan, Xiaomei,Zhang, Tong,Song, Huizi,Bian, Xiaona,Nai, Rile,Li, Jinquan,Zhang, Jiaxin Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2018 Animal Bioscience Vol.31 No.10

Objective: Selenium-independent glutathione peroxidase (GPx5) is specifically expressed in the mammalian epididymis and plays an important role in protecting sperm from reactive oxygen species and lipid peroxidation damage. This study investigates GPx5 expression in the epididymis of Small Tail Han sheep. Methods: GPx5 expression was studied in three age groups: lamb (2 to 3 months), young (8 to 10 months), and adult (18 to 24 months). The epididymis of each age group divided into caput, corpus and cauda, respectively. Analysis the expression quantity of GPx5 in epididymis and testis by real-time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction and Western blot. Finally, GPx5 protein locating in the epididymis by immunohistochemical. Results: The results demonstrate that in the lamb group, the GPx5 mRNA, but not protein, can be detected. GPx5 mRNA and expressed protein were detected in both the young and adult groups. Moreover, both the mRNA and protein levels of GPx5 were significantly higher in the young group than in other two groups. When the different segments of epididymis were investigated, GPx5 mRNA was expressed in each segment of epididymis regardless of age. Additionally, the mRNA level in the caput was significantly higher than that in corpus and cauda within same age group. The GPx5 protein was in the epithelial cells' cytoplasm. However, GPx5 mRNA and protein were not detected in the testis. Conclusion: These results suggest that GPx5 is mainly expressed in the epididymis of Small Tail Han sheep, and that the expression level of GPx5 is associated with age. Additionally, GPx5 was primarily expressed in the epithelial cells of the caput. Taken together, these studies indicate that GPx5 is expressed in the epididymis in all age grades.

TEM Investigation of Nitrided Inconel 690 Prepared by Low Temperature Plasma Assisted Processes

        Xiaona Li,Chuang Dong,Henry Michelh,Huan He,Shengzhi Hao,Thierry Czerwiec 한국물리학회 2005 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.46 No.1

Low-temperature plasma assisted nitriding (PAN) treatment was used to produce a highly nitrogen-enriched N layer on the nickel-based superalloy Inconel 690. Such a layer showed greatly improved wear and corrosion performance. In this paper, we investigate the microstructure of the N layers thoroughly by using transmission-electron microscopy and XRD. As a comparison, nitriding layers were also prepared by the reactive magnetron sputtering technique. It was found that the nitrogen-enriched ¯lm deposited at 400 ±C by RMS consists of mainly CrN-type nitride and fcc ° phase and a small amount of °N phase, while the PAN treatments at 400 ±C on bulk samples produce only N single-phase layer with gradually changing lattice parameters from the outermost surface to the underlying substrate in the range of 0.393 to 0.355 nm.

Novel In Situ Synthesized Fe@C Magnetic Nanocapsules Used as Adsorbent for Removal of Organic Dyes and Its Recycling

        Ranran Li,Jieyi Yu,Asif Shah,Xinglong Dong,Xiaona Li,Hongtao Yu,Xie Quan,Youngguan Jung 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2016 NANO Vol.11 No.2

Core/shell type carbon-coated Fe nanocapsules (Fe@C NCs) were in situ synthesized by DC arcdischarge plasma method in methane atmosphere. Such Fe nanocapsules have saturation magnetization of 29.32 emu/g and specific surface area of 85.86 m2/g. The carbon shell of Fe@C NCs was functionalized with oxygen-containing groups (such as –OH or –COOH) by using H2O2. The adsorption of organic dye, e.g., methylene blue (MB) was systematically investigated in different conditions, such as contact time, pH values and temperature. The maximum adsorption capacity (46.5 mg/g) was calculated by fitting the adsorption isotherms with Langmuir model, coincident with the experimental result of 44.5 mg/g. Kinetics data supported pseudo-second order model, and the thermodynamic process of adsorption was revealed as endothermic and spontaneous physisorption. The MB-absorbed Fe@C NCs can be entirely separated from the contaminative solution by a magnetic field and then successfully cycled for regeneration. After repetitive cycles of the adsorption/desorption experiments for five times, the removal efficiency can be maintained over 90%.

Modified Power Prediction Model Based on Infinitesimal Cutting Force during Face Milling Process

Xiaona Luan,Song Zhang,Gang Li 한국정밀공학회 2018 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.5 No.1

Nowadays soaring energy price, increasing environmental concerns, and stringent legislations make energy saving very emergency and helpful both for enterprises and environment. To deal with these issues, this paper presents a generalized mathematical power prediction model of face milling process used in manufacturing. An attempt was made to develop a relatively precise and direct power consumption model to help researchers make power optimization much easier and more practical than before. First, an infinitesimal cutting force model was proposed based on theoretical and experimental foundations. Secondly, relationship between power consumption and cutting force components was revealed, and power consumption based on infinitesimal cutting forces during metal removal process was developed. Finally, the proposed model was experimentally verified by comparing predicted and measured power consumption. Both average and instantaneous values of power consumption were used to analyze prediction error of the model. This proposed model can be used to evaluate and optimize cutting power consumption once cutting parameters were decided based on minimal energy demand. Results showed that the mean errors of maximum power and mean power were 0.076% and 0.208%, respectively. Otherwise, this proposed model will drive the field of power consumption simulation development.

The impaired redox status and activated nuclear factor-erythroid 2-related factor 2/antioxidant response element pathway in wooden breast myopathy in broiler chickens

        Pan Xiaona,Zhang Lin,Xing Tong,Li Jiaolong,Gao Feng 아세아·태평양축산학회 2021 Animal Bioscience Vol.34 No.4

Objective: Wooden breast (WB) is a novel myopathy affecting modern broiler chickens, which causes substantial economic losses in the poultry industry. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of WB abnormality on meat quality, redox status, as well as the expression of genes of the nuclear factor-erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) pathway. Methods: A total of 80 broilers (Ross 308, 42 days of age, about 2.6 kg body weight) raised at Jiujin farm (Suqian, Jiangsu, China) were used. Twelve unaffected (no detectable hardness of the breast area) and twelve WB-affected (diffuse remarkable hardness in the breast muscle) birds were selected from the commercial broiler farm according to the criteria proposed by previous studies. Results: The results indicated that WB showed histological lesions characterized by fiber degeneration and fibrosis, along with an increase of muscle fiber diameter (p<0.05). Moreover, higher pH value, lightness, yellowness, drip loss and cooking loss were observed in the WB group (p<0.05). Compared with the normal breast (NOR) group, the WB group showed higher formation of reactive oxygen species (p<0.05), increased level of oxidation products and antioxidant activities (p<0.05), accompanied with mitochondrial damages and lower mitochondrial membrane potential (p<0.05). Meanwhile, the relative mRNA expressions of Nrf2 and its downstream antioxidant genes including heme oxygenase‐1, NAD(P)H qui none dehydrogenase 1, glutathione peroxidase, superoxide dismutase, and glutamate-cysteine ligase were higher than those of the NOR group (p<0.05). Conclusion: In conclusion, WB myopathy impairs meat quality by causing oxidative damages and mitochondrial dysfunction in broilers, even though the activated Nrf2/antioxidant response element pathway provides protection for the birds. Next-generation sequencing for the genetic characterization of Maedi/Visna virus isolated from the northwest of China

        Ling Zhao,Liang Zhang,Xiaona Shi,Xujie Duan,Huiping Li,Shuying Liu 대한수의학회 2021 Journal of Veterinary Science Vol.22 No.6

Background: Maedi/Visna virus (MVV) is a contagious viral pathogen that causes considerable economic losses to the sheep industry worldwide. Objectives: In China, MVV has been detected in several regions, but its molecular characteristics and genetic variations were not thoroughly investigated. Methods: Therefore, in this study, we conducted next-generation sequencing on an MVV strain obtained from northwest China to reveal its genetic evolution via phylogenetic analysis. Results: A MVV strain obtained from Inner Mongolia (NM) of China was identified. Sequence analysis indicated that its whole-genome length is 9193 bp. Homology comparison of nucleotides between the NM strain and reference strains showed that the sequence homology of gag and env were 77.1%–86.8% and 67.7%–75.5%, respectively. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that the NM strain was closely related to the reference strains isolated from America, which belong to the A2 type. Notably, there were 5 amino acid insertions in variable region 4 and a highly variable motif at the C-terminal of the surface glycoprotein (SU5). Conclusions: The present study is the first to show the whole-genome sequence of an MVV obtained from China. The detailed analyses provide essential information for understanding the genetic characteristics of MVV, and the results enrich the MVV library.
