        miRNA Pattern Discovery from Sequence Alignment

        MiRNA is a biological short sequence, which plays a crucial role in almost all important biological process. MiRNA patterns are common sequence segments of multiple mature miRNA sequences, and they are of significance in identifying miRNAs due to the functional implication in miRNA patterns. In the proposed approach, the primary miRNA patterns are produced from sequence alignment, and they are then cut into short segment miRNA patterns. From the segment miRNA patterns, the candidate miRNA patterns are selected based on estimated probability, and from which, the potential miRNA patterns are further selected according to the classification performance between authentic and artificial miRNA sequences. Three parameters are suggested that bi-nucleotides are employed to compute the estimated probability of segment miRNA patterns, and top 1% segment miRNA patterns of length four in the order of estimated probabilities are selected as potential miRNA patterns.

      • Research and Validation of Pipe Acoustic Transmission Mechanism

        During oil production an acoustic communication mode with downhole oil pipe as channel is one of feasible downhole control method. Based on a mechanism analysis, this paper presents a pipe acoustic transmission mechanism model. The model is derived to obtain a pipe dispersive equation. The simulation of phase velocity, group velocity and dispersion curves of three common oil pipes indicates that spectral distribution of longitudinal wave transmission in pipe presents a comb filter structure, and the passband/stopband distribution approximates periodicity and symmetry on spectrogram. The passband range, stopband range and amplitude value changes with length, cross area, density of oil pipe and joint. And the influence rule is given. Then the optimal frequency is suggested through simulation for downhole wireless communication tools design.

        A Novel High Speed Frequency Sweeping Signal Generator in X-band Based on Tunable Optoelectronic Oscillator

        A novel X-band high speed frequency sweep signal generator based on a tunable optoelectronic oscillator (OEO) incorporating a frequency-swept laser is presented and the theoretical fundamentals of the design are explained. A prototype of the generator with tuning range from 8.8552 GHz to 10.3992 GHz and a fine step about 8 MHz is achieved. The generated radiofrequency signal with a single sideband (SSB) phase noise lower than -100 dBc/Hz@10KHz is experimentally demonstrated within the whole tunable range, without any narrow RF band-pass filters in the loop. And the tuning speed of the frequency sweep signal generator can reach to over 1 GHz/s benefiting from applying a novel dispersion compensation modular instead of several tens of kilometers of optical fiber delay line in the system.

        Research on Injection Rate Allocation Fault Diagnosis in Integrated Separate Layer Water Injection Technology

        Integrated separate layer water injection technology is an effective approach to reduce the workload of injection oilfield. The primary equipment which consists of flowmeter, motor and control value is placed underground for a long time. Injection rate allocation fault diagnosis is a problem with character of multiformity. The fault symptoms and reasons are random, and it is hard to differentiate them. Weighted fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm combining symptoms signals and fuzzy mathematics approach is used on the technology. The algorithm is based on fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm, and increase weight to each fault sample to reduce the impact of samples on fault classifications. Simulation and analysis illustrates that the algorithm is able to reflect the real structure of the sample data. And it improves the accuracy of fault classification.

      • Molecular mechanisms involved in epidermal growth factor receptor-mediated inhibition of dopamine D<sub>3</sub> receptor signaling

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The phenomenon wherein the signaling by a given receptor is regulated by a different class of receptors is termed transactivation or crosstalk. Crosstalk between receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) and G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) is highly diverse and has unique functional implications because of the distinct structural features of the receptors and the signaling pathways involved. The present study used the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and dopamine D<SUB>3</SUB> receptor (D<SUB>3</SUB>R), which are both associated with schizophrenia, as the model system to study crosstalk between RTKs and GPCRs. Loss-of-function approaches were used to identify the cellular components involved in the tyrosine phosphorylation of G protein-coupled receptor kinase 2 (GRK2), which is responsible for EGFR-induced regulation of the functions of D<SUB>3</SUB>R. <I>SRC</I> proto-oncogene (Src, non-receptor tyrosine kinase), heterotrimeric G protein Gβγ subunit, and endocytosis of EGFR were involved in the tyrosine phosphorylation of GRK2. In response to EGF treatment, Src interacted with EGFR in a Gβγ-dependent manner, resulting in the endocytosis of EGFR. Internalized EGFR in the cytosol mediated Src/Gβγ-dependent tyrosine phosphorylation of GRK2. The binding of tyrosine-phosphorylated GRK2 to the T142 residue of D<SUB>3</SUB>R resulted in uncoupling from G proteins, endocytosis, and lysosomal downregulation.         Elasto-plastic time history analysis of an asymmetrical twin-tower rigid-connected structure

        The structure analyzed in this paper has particular building style and special structural system. It is a rigid-connected twin-tower skyscraper with asymmetrical distribution of stiffness and masses in two towers. Because of the different stiffness between the north and the south towers, the torsion seismic vibration is significant. In this paper, in order to study the seismic response of the structure under both frequent low-intensity earthquakes as well as rare earthquakes at the levels of intensity 7, the analysis model is built and analyzed with NosaCAD. NosaCAD is an nonlinear structure analysis software based on second-development of AutoCAD with ObjectARX. It has convenient modeling function, high computational efficiency and diversity post-processing functions. The deformations, forces and damages of the structure are investigated based on the analysis. According to the analysis, there is no damage on the structure under frequent earthquakes, and the structure has sufficient capacity and ductility to resist rare earthquakes. Therefore the structure can reach the goal of no damage under frequent earthquakes and no collapse under rare earthquakes. The deformation of the structure is below the limit in Chinese code. The time sequence and distribution of damages on tubes are reasonable, which can dissipate some dynamic energy. At last, according to forces, load-carrying capacity and damage of elements, there are some suggestions on increasing the reinforcement in the core tube at base and in stiffened stories.

      • β-Arrestin2 directly or through GRK2 inhibits PKCβII activation in a ubiquitination-dependent manner

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The GRK/β-arrestin and PKC/PKA mediate the homologous and heterologous regulation of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), respectively. Interaction between the two pathways is one of the most important issues in understanding the regulation of GPCRs. The present study investigated the regulatory effect of GRK2 and β-arrestins on PKC activation. The roles of GRK2 and β-arrestins in the functional regulation of PKC were assessed by determining their influence on PKC autophosphorylation and intracellular translocation. Radioligand binding assay was utilized to characterize intracellular trafficking of dopamine D<SUB>2</SUB>R, D<SUB>3</SUB>R, and β<SUB>2</SUB> adrenergic receptor (β<SUB>2</SUB>AR). The subdomains involved in the mutual interactions among GRK2, β-arrestin2, and PKCβII were determined by in vitro binding assay. Various point mutants of key regulatory players were combined with knockdown cells of GRK2, β-arrestins, and Mdm2 to functionally correlate the biochemical changes with functional outcomes. GRK2 and β-arrestin2 mutually inhibited the PKCβII autophosphorylation, a hallmark of PKCβII activation. β-Arrestin2 ubiquitination was required for the inhibitory activities of GRK2 as well as β-arrestin2. Furthermore, GRK2 facilitated β-arrestin2 ubiquitination, thus to enhance the inhibitory actions of β-arrestin2 on PKCβII activity. Aforementioned processes were also involved in the GRK2/β-arrestin2-mediated inhibition of the D<SUB>2</SUB>R, D<SUB>3</SUB>R, and β<SUB>2</SUB>AR endocytosis. The present study provides new insights into the intricate interactions between the homologous and heterologous GPCR regulation pathways.         위드코로나 뉴스 메시지 특성(방향성, 대상국가)에 따른 지각적 편향, 위드코로나 태도, 위드코로나 지지행동 의도에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 새로운 방역체계인 위드코로나에 대한 메시지의 영향을 알아보기 위해 352명을 대상으로 뉴스 메시지 방향성 (긍정/부정적 내용) x 대상국가(한국/외국) 집단 간 이원요인설계 실험연구를 진행하였다. 이를 통해 뉴스 메시지 특성에 따라 지각적 편향, 위드코로나에 대한 태도, 위드코로나 지지행동 의도에 어떤 영향을 주는지, 그리고 지각적 편향이 위드코로나 지지행동 의도에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보았다. 연구결과, 위드코로나 뉴스보도의 긍정/부정 방향성은 위드코로나에 대한 태도와 지지행동의도에 유의미한 차이를 야기하는 것으로 나타났다. 위드코로나에 관한 긍정적 뉴스보도를 접한 사람들이 부정적 뉴스보도를 접한 사람들보다 위드코로나에 대해 더 긍정적 태도와 지지행동 의도를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 위드코로나 뉴스보도의 대상국가가 한국/외국 여부는 위드코로나에 대한 태도와 지지행동의도에 있어 차이를 보이지 않았다. 부정적인 위드코로나 뉴스 보도에서는 제3자 효과가 나타났으나 긍정적인 위드코로나 뉴스 보도에서는 제1자효과가 나타나지 않았다. 또한, 위드코로나 뉴스보도의 대상국가에 따라 뉴스보도에 대한 지각적 편향에 있어 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 지각적 편향은 위드코로나 지지행동의도에 부정적으로 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났는데 제3자효과가 있을수록 위드코로나 지지행동의도가 낮아졌다. 본 연구는 실험연구를 통해 위드코로나 뉴스 보도 메시지 특성이 수용자의 인지와 행동 의도에 미치는 영향을 조사했고, 정부와 미디어가 향후 위드코로나에 대한 태도와 행동 유발을 위한 메시지 구성에 도움이 될 자료를 제공했다는 것에 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다. 마지막으로 연구의 한계점과 향후 연구에 대한 제언을 제시하였다. This study conducted a two-factor experimental design with news message direction (positive/negative) x target country (Korea/foreign) for 352 people. It examined how perceptual bias, attitude and supportive behavioral intention toward ‘With Corona’ are affected by news message characteristics. Also, it investigated the relationship between perceptual bias and the supportive behavioral intention toward ‘With Corona’. As a result, it was found that the positive/negative ‘With Corona’ news message caused a significant difference in attitude and supportive behavioral intention toward ‘With Corona’. It was found that those who received positive ‘With Corona’ news showed more positive attitude and supportive behavioral intention than those who received negative ‘With Corona’ news. Target country of ‘With Corona’ news did not cause any difference in attitude and supportive behavioral intention. There was a third-party effect in negative ‘With Corona’ news, but the first-party effect did not appeared in the positive news. Target country did not cause any difference in perceptual bias toward news messages. Third-party effect was found to have negative effect on supportive behavioral intention toward ‘With Corona’. This study has a meaning that it examined the effect of ‘with Corona’ news message characteristics on receivers’ perception and supportive behavioral intention toward ‘With Corona’ using experimental design. In addition, it provides helpful information regarding effective ‘With Corona’ message development in the future for media and government. Finally, limitations of the study and suggestions for future research are presented.
