        Development and verification of PWR core transient coupling calculation software

        In PWR three-dimensional transient coupling calculation software CORCA-K, the nodal Green's function method and diagonal implicit Runge Kutta method are used to solve the spatiotemporal neutron dynamic diffusion equation, and the single-phase closed channel model and one-dimensional cylindrical heat conduction transient model are used to calculate the coolant temperature and fuel temperature. The LMW, NEACRP and PWR MOX/UO<sub>2</sub> benchmarks and FangJiaShan (FJS) nuclear power plant (NPP) transient control rod move cases are used to verify the CORCA-K. The effects of burnup, fuel effective temperature and ejection rate on the control rod ejection process of PWR are analyzed. The conclusions are as follows: (1) core relative power and fuel Doppler temperature are in good agreement with the results of benchmark and ADPRES, and the deviation between with the reference results is within 3.0% in LMW and NEACRP benchmarks; 2) the variation trend of FJS NPP core transient parameters is consistent with the results of SMART and ADPRES. And the core relative power is in better agreement with the SMART when weighting coefficient is 0.7. Compared with SMART, the maximum deviation is -5.08% in the rod ejection condition and while -5.09% in the control rod complex movement condition.

        Apoptosis induction by alantolactone in breast cancer MDA-MB- 231 cells through reactive oxygen species-mediated mitochondrion-dependent pathway

        Alantolactone is a sesquiterpene lactone isolatedfrom Inula helenium L. Although alantolactone possessesanti-inflammation and apoptosis-induction activities, theunderlying mechanism of anti-cancer effect on humanbreast cancer cells remains largely unknown. In this study,we explored the possibility of alantolactone as an apoptosis-inducing cytotoxic agent using MDA-MB-231 cells asin vitro model. Alantolactone significantly induced itsapoptosis, demonstrated by cell cycle analysis, annexinV-APC/7-AAD double staining and dUTP nick end labeling. Additionally, alantolactone triggered the mitochondrial-mediated caspase cascade apoptotic pathway, whichwas confirmed by increased Bax/Bcl-2 ratio, loss of MMP,release of cytc from mitochondria to cytoplasm, activationof caspase 9/3, and subsequent cleavage of PARP. Z-VADFMKpartially prevented apoptosis induced by alantolactone. Alantolactone provoked the production of ROS, whileNAC (a scavenger of ROS) reversed alantolactone-mediateddepolarization of MMP and apoptosis. Alantolactonemodulated the activities of MAPKs. As expected, cotreatmentwith SB203580, SP600125 or U0126 could reducedthe apoptotic rate. Furthermore, alantolactone decreasedthe protein expressions of p-NF-kB p65 and p-STAT3,increased p-c-Jun level in a dose-dependent manner. Thesefindings suggested that alantolactone possessed anticanceractivity via ROS-mediated mitochondrial dysfunctioninvolving MAPK pathway, and had an effect on the transcriptionfactors of NF-kB, AP-1 and STAT3.

        중국 중학교 어문 교과서의 특성과 시사점

        이 논문은 중국의 중학교 어문 교과서의 특성을 검토하여 한국의 자국어교육에 대한 시사점을 얻는 것을 목적으로 한다. 먼저 중국의 국가 수준 교육과정인 어문과정표준에 따라 개발된 중국 중학교 어문 교과서의 개발 현황과 교과서 구성을 확인하였다. 다음으로 중국 어문 교과서의 핵심이 되는 제재의 역할을 집중적으로 검토하여, 중국 어문 교과서의 제재들이 언어 능력 신장을 위한 모범, 문화적 자긍심과 인성 함양의 원천, 사고력 배양의 인문학적 토대 등 다양한 역할을 수행함을 알 수 있었다. 중학교 어문 교과서에 대한 검토를 통해 이 논문에서는 다음과 같은 세 가지 특성을 발견하였다. 첫째, 중국의 자국어교육 내용 구성은 영역 간의 기계적 균형보다 실용성을 추구하고 있다. 둘째, 자국의 언어문화 자원을 다양하고 적극적으로 활용하고 있다. 셋째, 번역 문학을 비롯한 다양한 제재를 포괄적으로 활용하고 있다. 한국의 자국어교육을 발전을 위해 중국이 선택한 경로에 따른 성과와 한계를 면밀히 살피는 것이 큰 도움이 되리라 생각한다. This thesis aims to examine the characteristics of middle-school language textbooks in China and to suggest implications for Korean language education. First, we examined the general characteristics of the textbooks. Second, we analyzed the role of materials that constitute the core of Chinese language textbooks- as a model for the growth of language ability and a source of cultural pride and personality cultivation. Through a review of textbooks, we found three characteristics. First, the native language education in China is becoming increasingly oriented toward practicality. Second, Chinese educators are actively using their own cultural resources. Third, textbooks utilize a wide range of materials, including translation literature.

        Investigation and Improvement of Pusher-Propeller Installation Effect for Flying Wing UAV

        This paper presents a collaborative experimental and numerical research to investigate the influences of the installation of propeller on aircraft aerodynamic performance, and two approaches to mitigate the propeller installation effect are also analyzed. The configuration under investigation is based on a real flying wing unmanned aerial vehicle with a two-bladed pusher-propeller mounted on the aft part of its associated airframe. Reynolds-averaged Navier Stokes simulations coupled with a structured finite-volume cell-vertex based solver are applied to propeller uninstalled and installed configurations, and the numerical results are shown to be in good agreement with the experimental data. The comparative results obtained through prop-uninstalled and prop-installed cases show that the installation of the pusher-propeller leads to the decline of the maximum lift-drag ratio due to aerodynamic interactions between the propeller and airframe. Detailed analysis of the numerical results highlighted that the low pressure areas on the aft part of the airframe generated by the installation of the pusher-propeller will result in an increase of the base drag and hence a decline of the maximum lift-drag ratio. The feasibilities of center shaft extension and the modification of airframe geometry to mitigate the propeller installation effect are verified by numerical simulations, and results showed that proper propeller–airframe spacing and good designs of airframe geometry can effectively improve the flow characteristic and reduce the drag induced by propeller installation effect.

        Dynamic Characteristics Identification of an Arch Dam Model via the Phase-Based Video Processing

        In recent years, the extraction of structural dynamic characteristics by using phase-based video processing has attracted considerable attention. Edge detection routine is oftentimes employed to obtain the quantified operational deflection shape (ODS) vectors of structures. However, this approach is unreliable because of intensive human supervision and correction. To reduce operational uncertainty, a hybrid computer-vision-based approach called edge detection-region labeling, which involves vision sensor preparation, bottom-hat filtering, edge detection, hole filling, and region labeling, was presented in this work to extract the quantified ODS’s. The performance of this method was firstly evaluated by conducting a lab-scale cantilever beam test and subsequently the phase-based video processing was applied to extract the dynamic characteristics of an arch dam model. The operational modal analysis (OMA) test was conducted on the benchmark dam model. In-plane motions of the dam were captured and processed to identify the natural frequencies of the dam. The structural ODS’s were quantified using the proposed method. A comparison of the modal parameters of the dam identified from the video data with those obtained in the OMA test revealed that the two sets of results were consistent, and the video processing approach was able to bypass the requirement of human supervision, which facilitates the application of the phase-based video processing for complex structures.

        How Competitive Orientation Influences Unethical Decision-making in Clinical Practices?

        Purpose: This study aims to investigate how competitive orientation influences unethical decisionmaking (UDM) through relationship conflict and the moderating effect of hostile attribution bias. Methods: This study was conducted using a self-report questionnaire. Data were collected from 727 employees in Chinese hospitals. For each variable, measures were adopted or adapted from existing literature. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. Common method variance was established using Harman's single-factor test. Results: Competitive orientation is significantly and positively associated with relationship conflict (b = .36, p < .001) and UDM (b = .35, p < .001). Relationship conflict is significantly and positively associated with UDM (b = .51, p < .001). Relationship conflict partially mediates the relationship between competitive orientation and UDM. In addition, hostile attribution bias strengthens the positive relationship between competitive orientation and UDM through relationship conflict. Conclusion: This study provides some implications for hospital employees to deal with ethical dilemmas in decision-making. Hospital employees including nurses, physicians, and other health-care professionals should raise awareness of competitive orientation and adopt a cooperative approach to human relations. Effective training programs should be utilized to direct all hospital employees to depress hostile attribution bias whenever possible to everything in clinical practice.

        Effect of TiBCN Content on Microstructure and Properties of Laser Cladding Ti/TiBCN Composite Coatings

        The Ti/TiBCN composite coatings were fabricated on the substrate of Ti6Al4V alloy by laser cladding. The effects of TiBCNcontent on the microstructre, microhardness, corrosion resistance and tribological properties of the composite coatings werestudied. The results showed that, when the TiBCN content was 60 wt%, the composite coatings were mainly composed ofthe dendritic and rod-shaped TiBCN phases, small white lump TiC phases, fine lamellar TiN phases, small and scatteredwhite block TiB2phases, In addition, there was a small quantity of short whisker Al3Tiphases and uniform layer blockTiAl phases. Furhtermore, the maximum microhardness was 1596 HV, which was about 4.6 folds greater than that of thesubstrate; the corrosion potential (Ecorr) reached − 1.258 V and the corrosion current density (Icorr) was 4.035 × 10−5 A/cm2,which was one order lower than that of the substrate (1.172 × 10−4 A/cm2); the worn surface was relatively smooth and themass loss (1.22 g) was only 9/50 of that of the substrate (6.71 g).
