Parameter estimation of weak space-based ADS-B signals using genetic algorithm
Tao, Feng,Jun, Liang Electronics and Telecommunications Research Instit 2021 ETRI Journal Vol.43 No.2
Space-based automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B) is an important emerging augmentation of existing ground-based ADS-B systems. In this paper, the problem of space-based ultra-long-range reception processing of ADS-B signals is described. We first introduce a header detection method for accurately determining the pulse position of a weak ADS-B signal. We designed a signal encoding method, shaping method, and fitness function. We then employed a genetic algorithm to perform high-precision frequency and phase estimations of the detected weak signal. The advantage of this algorithm is that it can simultaneously estimate the frequency and phase, meaning a direct coherent demodulation can be implemented. To address the computational complexity of the genetic algorithm, we improved the ratio algorithm for frequency estimation and raised the accuracy beyond that of the original ratio algorithm with only a slight increase in the computational complexity using relatively few sampling points.

This review highlights and categorizes the approaches for preparation of CNTs dispersion and polymer/CNTs composites via solution-based strategies. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) demonstrate unique physical and chemical properties, which allow several exciting potential applications in various fields including nanocomposites. Presently, the commercialized application of CNTs is still quite limited due to the formation of CNTs bundles, which significantly degrade the properties. Therefore, well dispersion of CNTs in nanocomposites is quite important, especially for CNTs/polymer composites, as a small amount of CNTs can improve the composite properties dramatically. This article will review the research on the dispersion of CNTs (including covalent and non-covalent functionalization) and the fabrication of CNTs/polymer composites through solution-based strategies by using the CNT dispersions. Moreover, the factors influencing the properties of CNTs/polymer composites will be discussed as well as the future outlook.
A Novel Approach to Digital Audio Watermarking Based on Pre-attack
Tao Feng,Jiqing Han 한국어정보학회 2006 한국어정보학 Vol.8 No.1
In this paper, a novel algorithm of audio watermarking is presented on the base of preattacking by predicting possible attacks for the special purpose of watermarking. Dividing frequency band in discrete wavelet transform (DWT) domain, and calculating the defined distortion measure, the appropriate band can be located to embed watermarking with hopping frequency technique. The imperceptible of audio host maintains by using psychoacoustics model to constrain the embedding strength. Experimental results show the proposed method obtains higher robustness to common watermarking attacks, especially for the forecasted attacks.
Shrimp Quality Detection Method Based on YOLOv4
Tao Xingyi,Feng Yiran,이응주,Tao Xueheng 한국멀티미디어학회 2022 멀티미디어학회논문지 Vol.25 No.7
A shrimp quality detection model using YOLOv4 deep learning algorithm is designed, which is superior in terms of network architecture, data processing and feature extraction. The shrimp images were taken and data expanded on their own, the LableImage platform was used for data annotation, and the network model was trained under the Darknet framework. Through comparison, the final performance of the model was all higher than other common target detection models, and its detection accuracy reached 93.7% with an average detection time of 47 ms, indicating that the method can effectively detect the quality of shrimp in the production process.

Sublethal effects of insecticides on insects have beenwidely documented. However, the underlining mechanisms remain largely unclear. Insecticides may be as ligands and disruptors to affect the expression and function of tyrosine kinase receptors (RTKs). Based on the transcriptomeand the genomic data of Leptinotarsa decemlineata, 15 novel RTK members were identified and annotated in the present paper. These RTKs showed distinct 1:1 orthology relationships with Tribolium castaneum ones, suggesting functional conservation of RTKs in insects. The expression responses of the 16 RTKs to sublethal exposure to two juvenile hormone analogs (methoprene and pyriproxyfen) and three γ-aminobutyric acid receptor blockers (fipronil, butene-fipronil and endosulfan) were determined. Each of the 5 insecticides changed the expression levels of a specific subsetof RTKgenes, demonstrating that RTK genes respond transcriptionally to insecticides by a mode-of-action independent way. Our results raise the possibilities that insecticides may exert their sublethal effects through affecting the expression of RTK genes.
Research on Torque Ripple Suppression of Position Sensorless Brushless DC Motor during Commutation
Yang Tao,Li Quan-feng,Wang Shi-tao,Lu Zheng-yu 전력전자학회 2011 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.2011 No.5
Position sensorless PM brushless DC motor generates pilsating current in the course of nature commutation, which causes torque ripple. In order to reduce the torque ripple, the current during commutation is controlled by certain methods which need current sensors usually. This paper proposed a novel and low cost method which can reduce torque ripple by changing the duty cycle during comutation. Experimental results show that this method is easily used to reduce the pulsating current and torque ripple during comutation without current sensors.
