The proposed system is developed by android decentralized application that works on hyperledger fabric network, which can record scores through consensus and prevent manipulation and forgery by ensuring security and transparency.
Flexural Test for Steel-Concrete Composite Members Using Prefabricated Steel Angles

In the proposed composite [prefabricated steel-reinforced concrete (PSRC)] column, steel angles located at the corners of the cross section are weld connected with tie bars to provide a bond for the steel angles, shear resistance, and lateral confinement. In this paper, simply supported PSRC specimens were tested to investigate their flexural strength and ductility. For comparison, a conventional concrete-encased H-section specimen was also tested. The test parameters were the steel ratio of the angle section and the spacing of the tie bars. The flexural, shear, and bond strengths of the test specimens correlated well with predictions. The flexural strength and stiffness of the PSRC specimens were significantly greater than those of the conventional composite specimen with the same steel area. However, at large inelastic deformations, the PSRC specimens were vulnerable to the bond failure between the steel angle and concrete and the tensile fracture of the angle at the weld-connection to the tie bars. When the bond strength between the steel angles and concrete was greater than the demand, the PSRC specimens exhibited ductile behavior after flexural yielding.

Purpose: To assess the clinical outcomes of radiotherapy (RT) using two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional conformal RT (3D-CRT) for patients with gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma to evaluate the effectiveness of involved field RT with moderate-dose and to evaluate the benefit of 3D-CRT comparing with 2D-RT. Materials and Methods: Between July 2003 and March 2015, 33 patients with stage IE and IIE gastric MALT lymphoma received RT were analyzed. Of 33 patients, 17 patients (51.5%) were Helicobacter pylori (HP) negative and 16 patients (48.5%) were HP positive but refractory to HP eradication (HPE). The 2D-RT (n = 14) and 3D-CRT (n = 19) were performed and total dose was 30.6 Gy/17 fractions. Of 11 patients who RT planning data were available, dose-volumetric parameters between 2D-RT and 3D-CRT plans was compared. Results: All patients reached complete remission (CR) eventually and median time to CR was 3 months (range, 1 to 15 months). No local relapse occurred and one patient died with second primary malignancy. Tumor response, survival, and toxicity were not significantly different between 2D-RT and 3D-CRT (p > 0.05, each). In analysis for dose-volumetric parameters, Dmax and CI for PTV were significantly lower in 3D-CRT plans than 2D-RT plans (p < 0.05, each) and Dmean and V15 for right kidney and Dmean for left kidney were significantly lower in 3D-CRT than 2D-RT (p < 0.05, each). Conclusion: Our data suggested that involved field RT with moderate-dose for gastric MALT lymphoma could be promising and 3D-CRT could be considered to improve the target coverage and reduce radiation dose to the both kidneys.

We propose a spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) system that uses a single line-scan detection scheme for balanced detection. Two phase-opposed spectra, generated by two optical fiber couplers, were detected by using a spectrometer with fast optical switching. A 2.69 km optical fiber was introduced to provide a proper time delay to prevent phase errors caused by the difference in measurement time between the two opposing spectra and unstable output voltages for controlling the galvano-scanner. Hence, a phase difference of ?? was obtained between the spectra over the sample depth without a phase error, which improved sensitivity by approximately 6 dB compared to that of conventional SD-OCT. We directly showed and compared the OCT images before and after applying the proposed balanced detection method in a phantom and in vivo sample.

Plastic Hinge Relocation Methods for Emulative PC Beam-Column Connections
Eom, Tae-Sung,Park, Hong-Gun,Hwang, Hyeon-Jong,Kang, Su-Min American Society of Civil Engineers 2016 Journal of structural engineering Vol.142 No.2

Various plastic hinge relocation methods were studied to improve the earthquake resistance of emulative precast concrete (PC) beam-column connections using PC U-shell beams. The present study used two strengthening methods (hooked bars and headed bars) and a weakening method (reduced beam bar section), to relocate the plastic hinge zone of beams away from the weak beam-column joint. Five full-scale test specimens including a conventional reinforced concrete (RC) specimen were tested to evaluate the earthquake resistance. The test results showed that the used relocation methods significantly decreased that bond-slip of beam flexural bars and joint shear cracking. As a result, the energy dissipation capacity significantly increased, compared to those of the conventional RC specimens and PC specimens without relocation methods. On the basis of the test results, design recommendations are suggested for plastic hinge relocation design of emulative PC beam-column connections. (C) 2015 American Society of Civil Engineers.

A choledochocele is an expanded sac of the duodenal side of the distal common bile duct (CBD), and is categorized as a type III choledochal cyst. Unlike other choledochal cysts, it can be easily overlooked because of its very low prevalence, non-specific clinical symptoms, and lack of distinctive radiological findings. However, a patient having a repeated pancreaticobiliary disorder with an unknown origin, frequent abdominal pain after cholecystectomy, or repeated non-specific gastrointestinal symptoms can be suspected as having a choledochocele, and a more accurate diagnosis can be achieved via endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic ultrasound. Because it rarely becomes malignant, a choledochocele can be treated via endoscopic sphincterotomy (EST) and surgical treatment. The authors were able to diagnose choledochocele accompanied by a stone in a patient admitted to the authors’ hospital due to cholangitis and pancreatitis. The patient``s condition was suspected to have been caused by a distal CBD stone detected via multiple detector computed tomography and ERCP, and was successfully treated via EST.

PSRC composite column is a concrete encased steel angle column. In the PSRC composite column, the steel angles placed at the corner of the cross-section resists bending moment and compression load. In the present study, using the performance criteria in KBC 2009, cyclic lateral loading test was performed for PSRC columns to verify the seismic performance. The test parameters were the column type, the use of continuous hoop, and the use of studs for steel angle. 2/3 scale specimens of a conventional composite column and three PSRC columns were tested. The test results showed that the load-carrying capacity predicted by KBC 2009 correlated well with the test results. The specimens also exhibited good deformation and energy dissipation capacities. After concrete cover spalling under cyclic loading, the load-carrying capacity were decreased by buckling of longitudinal bars and steel angles. When continuous hoop was used, the deformability of the PSRC column was improved, preventing early buckling of the steel angles.
