      • 반응경로 모델링을 이용한 결정질암 지하수의 지구화학적 진화경로 예측

        화강암지역에서 산출되는 국내 지하수의 화학조성은 주로 Ca-HCO_3와 Na-HCO_3, 형에 속하며, 일부는 Ca-(CI+SO_4) 또는 Na-(CI+SO_4)형의 특성을 나타낸다. 회장암 지역의 용출수는 Ca-HCO_3형에, 지하수는 Na-HCO_3 형에 도시된다. 빗물-화강암 반응에 대한 반응경로 모델리 결과는 초기 Ca-CI형에서 시작하여 Ca-HCO_3을 거친 후, 최종적으로 Na-HCO_3형으로 진화하는 경향을 보인다. 빗물-회장암 반응 역시 빗물-화강암 반응에서와 유사하게 진화되는 경향을 보이며, 모델링 결과는 현장자료와 잘 일치된다. 빗물-화강암/회장암 반응경로 모델링 결과, 반응이 진행됨에 따라 수소이온 활동도는 점차 감소(pH는 증가)하며, 양이온의 농도는 pH의 변화에 따른 모암을 구성하는 광물들의 순차적 용해, 2차 생성광물의 침전 및 재용해 등에 의해 다양한 농도변화를 보여준다. 빗물-화강암의 반응비에 따라 깁사이트, 적철석, 망간산화물, 카오리나이트, 실리카, 녹니석, 백운모, 방해석, 로몬타이트, 프레나이트, 아날심의 순으로 침전이 발생하며, 빗물-회장암의 반응에서도 이와 동일한 침전순서를 보이지만 실리카의 침전이 없고 아날심 대신 파라고나이트가 침전된다. 빗물-화강암 반응에서는 실리카가 가장 우세한 광물이며, 빗물-회장암 반응에서는 카오리나이트가 가장 우세한 광물이며, 전체적인 2차 생성광물의 침전량은 화강암보다 회장암 반응이 더 우세하다. The chemical compositions of groundwaters from the granite areas mainly belong to Ca-HCO_3 and Na-HCO_3 type, and some of these belong to Ca-(CI+SO_4) type. Spring water and groundwaters from anorthosite areas belong to Ca-HCO_3 and Na-HCO_3 type, respectively. The result of reaction path modeling shows taht the chemical compositions of aqueous solution reacted with granite evolve from initial Ca-CI type, via Ca-HCO_3 type, to Na-HCO_3 type. The result of rain water-anorthosite interaction is similar to evolution path of granite reaction and both of these results agree well with the field data. In the reaction path modeling of rain watergranite/anorthosite reaction, as a reaction is progressing, the activity of hydrogen ion decreases(pH increases). The concentrations of cations are controlled by the dissolution of rock-forming minerals and precipitation and re-dissolution of secondary minerals according to the pH. The continuous addition of granite causes the formation of secondary minerals in the following sequence; gibbsite plus hematite, Mn-oxide, kaolinite, silica, chlorite, muscovite (a proxy for illite here), calcite, laumontite, prehnite, and finally analcime. In the anorthosite reaction, the order of precipitation of secondary minerals is the same as with granite reaction except that there is no silica precipitation and paragonite precipitates instead of analcime. The silica and kaolinite are predominant minerals in the granite and anorthosite reactions, respectively. Total quantities of secondary minerals in the anorthosite reaction are more abundant than those in the granite reaction.

        Incontinentia pigmenti achromians(IPA) or Hypomelanosis of Ito is a very rare neurocutaneous syndrome which is often associated with cutaneous, cerebral, musculoskeletal and ocular abnormalities. It is assumed that it is autosomal dominant of inheritance in character. There is also a relationship between IPA and incontinentia pigmenti(IP). However, the etiology of IPA is not known. We describe a 4-year-old girl with myopia, esotropia and retinal pigmentary degeneration in addition to the hypopigmented skin lesion of IPA, and reviewed clinically the cases of IPA in this article.

        There are so many reasons why patient selects orthodontic and orthognathic treatment, but most of them want functional improvement. Sometimes patients are not satisfied though functionally improved. It is apparent that they want esthetic improvement too. Satisfaction and happiness are influenced by on self-evaluation, emotional state, expectation and so on. Clinicians have difficulty in estimating and treating the patients by psychological norm. Therefore, we study the relation between orthognathic surgery and aesthetics.

        This experiment was conducted to investigate the composition of the medium for the cellulase production by Trichoclerma sp. and the characteristics of the cellulase. The results obtained were as follows; 1.The optimum composition of the medium for cellulase production consists of 1% substrate, 0.5% KH2PO4, 0.3% (NH2)2CO, 0.3% NaNO3 0.05% MaSO4·7H2O, 0.01% Fe SO4·7H2O, respectively. 2.The optimum pH of cellulase was 5.0 and pH range of its stability was 4-6. 3.The optimum temperature of cellulase was 50℃ and heat stability was below 50℃. 4.In the concentration of substrate for enzyme, the activities of cellulase were respectively increased to the concentration of 1% substrate, but above the concentration of 3% stbstrate the activities of cellulase were slowly increased. 5.In general the activities of cellulase were proportionally increased by adding the amount of enzyme solution up to 1 ml, but those of cellulase were slowly increased up to 3ml. 6.The cellulase was inhibited by Hg.++

        선삭변수 최적화를 위한 진화 알고리듬 응용

        This paper presents a machining parameter selection approach using an evolutionary computation (EC). In order to perform a successful material cutting process, the engineer is to select suitable machining parameters. Until now, it has been mostly done by the handbook look-up or solving optimization equations which is inconvenient when not in handy. The main thrust of the paper is to provide a handy machining parameter selection approach. The EC is applied to rapidly find optimal machining parameters for the user's specific machining conditions. The EC is basically a combination of genetic algorithm and microcanonical stochastic simulated annealing method. The approach is described in detail with an application example. The paper concludes with a discussion on the potential of the proposed approach.

        About the etiologies of vitiligo, so many hypotheses have been proposed, but the exact pathologic mechanism was not clear. Among those hypotheses, autoimmune theory is most popular and clinically it is often accompanied by many other autoimmune disorders such as thyroid disease, pernicious anemia, diabetes mellitus, Addison's disease, autoimmune hypoparathyroidism and organ specific antibodies. Investigator thought that apoptosis is important mechanism on the destruction of melanocyte by autoantibodies. To prove this, 10 autoimmune disorder-free, active and progressive vitiligo patient's sera were added to melanocytes culture media and incubated for 48 hours. After that, investigator observed the changes of melanocyte with TUNEL stain and Hoechst stain, which were well-known methods for apoptotic cell stain. The melanocytes incubated with vitiligo patients sera showed more apoptosis than that with normal person's sera. These results indicates that vitiligo patients' sera have some substances inducing apoptosis of melanocytes.

        한국인 모발과 내부장기조직간 Cd, Hg, Pb 및 Zn함량의 상호관련성

        In order to study the relationships between trace element concentrations of hair and internal organs, autopsy samples of hair, liver, kidney cortex, kidney medulla, heart, lung, spleen, cerebrum, testis and bone from 162 Korean subjects were analyzed for Cd, Hg, Pb and Zn by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry. High significant positive correlations were found between the Cd concentration in hair and bone and Pb in hair and lung. Hair Hg levels were highly significantly correlated with organ Hg levels in the liver, kidney cortex, kidney medulla, heart, lung, spleen, cerebrum, testis and bone. And hair Zn levels were highly significantly correlated with organ Zn levels in the kidney cortex, kidney medulla, spleen, testis and bone.

        구급일지를 통한 병원 전 환잔 분류 및 처치의 적절성 평가 연구

        Background: Recently, patients' demands for emergency medicine are increasing, and most of prehospital medical care, including basic life support, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and triage, are provided by paramedics or emergency medical technicians. Evaluation of the adequacy of prehospital management and triage has become important for improving the quality and the effectiveness of the emergency medical system. Methods: The 202 patients who were transferred by ambulance with paramedics, nurses, or emergency medical technicians to the Emergency Department in Gil Medical Center from July 1, 1999, to September 31, 1999, were enrolled. This study was conducted prospectively by using the emergency physician,s log and newly devised protocols recorded by paramedics or nurses. Results: 1) Male to female ratio was 1: 0.8, and the peak age of the patients were the 4th(18.8%) and 6th decade(15.3%). 2) Of the 202 patients, 84 patients were transferred for trauma and 118 for medical problems. The mean transfer time was 6±1.73 minutes. 3) The validities of prehospital triage and decisions using the trauma severity measure and the disease severity measure, were 33.3% in trauma patients and 57.6% in medical patients.4) The results for the adequacy rate in prehospital management analyzed by using the rate of necessity of treatment. performance of treatment, and adequate treatment were as follows: oxygen supply.38.1/41.6/93.8 ; wound dressing. 19.3/71.8/92.9 ; immobilization of the cervical spine, 15.8/56.3/92.9 ; application of a spinal board. 12.9/42.3/72.7 ; application of a splint, 9.9/50.0/60.0 ; manual maintenance of an airway. 9.9/55.0/63.6 ; and CPR, 4.5/66.7/0. 5) Kind of ALS(Advanced Life Support) were not conducted(peripheral IV, EKG. intubation, medical administration. defibrillation, pacing). The rates of necessity of treatment were as follows: peripheral IV, 40.6%; ECG monitoring, 23.3% ; endotracheal intubation, 8.9% ; medical administration, 8.9% ; defibrillation. 3.5%; and pacing. 1.5% Conclusion: The adequacy of prehospital triage and decisions using trauma and disease severity measures was relatively low. To improve the adequacy of BLS(Basic Life Support) and to increase the performance of ALS(Advanced Life Support), we must create challenges to develop new protocols and to supplement new equipment.
