Background : In recent years gonorrhoea has been panendemic and remains one of the most common Sexually Transmitted Diseases in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Method : For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria Gonorrhoeae(PPNG), Ive have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results : In 1994, 168 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 109 (64,9% ) were PPNG. Conclustion : Our results suggests that the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is still increasing.

傾斜度에 따른 花崗岩地帶의 土壤侵蝕의 程度와 植生狀況

This report based on the United Nations Korean Upland Project soil survey method, and study the land Soosin and Sungnam-Myun in Chung-Nam Province. Result: 1.64.2ha (15.6%) of upland requires gulley control, where shows more than 16% soil slope. 2.Grade of erosion is shown as follow Erosion 1 13.36% Erosion 2 13.59% Erosion 3 28.59% Erosion 4 9.56% 3.The acreage of less than 16% of soil slope was erosion 1,2. 4.About 45% of erosion 1,2 is covered with vegiataion more than 50%, only erosion 4 and gully are covered with vegitation 4∼5. 5.Erosion soil depth 4,5 shows generally in 3,4 and gully land. 6.General slope and good vegitation are observed to be less soil erosion.

水稻의 適正 用水量 算定에 關한 硏究 : 葉水面 蒸發量을 中心으로 For Amount of Evapotranspiration

1. 試驗기간의 氣象現況은 Table 1과 같다. 2. 벼의 엽면증발량은 活着後 점차 增加하여 第8기에 Peak로 되며 이때의 1日 엽면 증발량은 5.16mm/day로 되었다가 점차 減少現象을 보인다. 3. 엽면증발량은 第8期에 全 葉面증발량의 17.5%에 達한다. 4 벼의 증산비는 282이였다. 5. 株間수면증발량은 Table 3과 같으며 葉面증발량과는 負(一)의 相關關係가 있음을 보였다. 6. 증발계증발량과 엽수면증발량과의 比는 1.43이였다. 7. 증발계증발량과 葉面증발량과의 비는 0.89이였다. 8. Blaney- Criddle method에 依한 k値는 Table 5와 같다. 9. 증산强度는 총계 1021로, 증발산强度는 총계 1141.8로 나타났다. The resuts of the study on consumption use of irrigated water in pabdy field during the growing stage of gaddy rice are summarized as follow. 1. Amount of transpiration of paddy rice increases gradually after trasplantation and reaches peak on 8th growing period and amount of traspiration reached on 5.16mm/day, then it decreases gradual1y after that. 2. Trnspirstion reached l7. 5% of amount of transpiration at 8th growing period. 3. Transdiration ratio of paddy rice approximate1y 262. 4. As we know from Fig. 2 correlation between the amouut of everporation from water surface in paddy field and amount of trans piration shows high negative. 5. Ratio of between evaportion and evapotranspiration is 1.43. 6. Ratio of between evaportion and transpiration is 0.89. 7. The k value of Blaney-Cliddle methed shows Tab1e 6. 8. Transpion and evaoptranspiration intennsities is each other 1021 and 1141.8.本 試驗은 엽수면증발량 株間수면증발량을 實測하였으며 이 試驗에 여러 가지 未備한 点이 있는 것으로 思料되나 以上의 試驗結果를 要約하면 다음과 같다.

Second,the accounting should be processed by duality book keeping for thepurposeofefficientmanagingofassets,promoting effectivelyestablishing objectandprovidingofusefulaccountinginformation. Third,the budgetshould be is made up and evaluated in the long-term pointofview Fourth,thetangibleassetsshould becapitalized to heighten thereliability ofaccountinginformation. Fifth,generalprinciples,procedures and method ofaccounting processing shouldbeprescribedatleastinFinancialAccountingRegulations. 수업개선을 위한 멘토링 프로그램의 적용과 분석

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of instruction which uses mentoring program in a universities. The sample for this study was 120 professors in a university. They are grouped in pairs and participated in mentoring program for instruction improvement. The results of the study shows that: ① It is found that professors need to have opportunity for instruction improvement. ② There are some change of recognition on methods which show the lens view of the classroom and classroom observation by peer. Though many professors feel the need for classroom observation, they don't have appropriate instruments to use. Because professors regard the observation as teaching evaluation rather than an effective means for professor development. However, professors in industrial university can use observation instruments and techniques to find out what actually is going on in their instruction improvement. ③ Most of professors realize the mentoring program is effective for professors to form "Educational Fellowship Culture".

Cycloheximide와 Chloramphenicol이 노화중인 보리유엽 엽록체의 전자전달 활성에 미치는 영향

Barley leaves were excised from eight-day-old seedlings grown in the light and then incubated with water cycloheximide and chlorarnphenicol in the dark. Cyclohexirnide dnd chlorarnphenicol did not prominently prevent the loss of chlorophyll and soluble protein and cycloheximide-not chloramphenicol-inhibited the senescent decline in the electron transport activity These results suggest that cycloheximide inhibits the synthesis of new proteolvtic proteins and chlo-ramphenicol have little effect on the proteolytic system.

The Old Man and the Sea에 나타난 象徵的 限界性 : The Limit of the Symbolic Methods

In recent years many critics have tried to interprete Ernest Hemingway's works in the terms of symbolism. Of all his works the Old Man and the Sea tends to be treated symbolical and its realistic aspects are disregarded. Philip Young regards the novel as essentially classical in nature; Leo Gurko sees it as reflecting Hemingway's romanticism; and to Carlos Baker, the novel is Christian in context, and the old fishermen is suggestive in Christ. Such interpretations of The Old Man and the Sea are not, of course, contradictory, in fact they point to both the breadth and depth of the novel's enduring significance and also to its central greatness. Such viewpoints differ only in emphasis and reflect generally similar conclusions-that Santiago represents a noble and tragic individualism revealing what man can do in an indifferent universe which defeats him. The defeat is only apparent, however, for, as in "The Undefeated." it becomes increasingly clear throughout the story that it is not victory or defeat that matters but the struggle itself. The Christian symbols run through the story and are so closely interwoven with the story in fact as to suggest an allegorical intention on Hemingway's part. Is the story, as it appears at first glance to be, a Christian allegory? I think not; the evidence in the Old Man and the Sea, with the exception of the Christian symbolism, indicates that he is no more Christian now than he was when he wrote The Sun Also Rises. But the Christian symbolism is in the book, and it does appear to constitutes a Christian religious allegory. Yes, but on a superficial level the old fisherman is a Christian symbol used to reveal a pagan truth. He and his marlin are never other than man and nature in their final and unresolved conflict. Hemingway has used techniques of symbolism and techniques of realism; what we want in criticism is an even view of his use of these and other artistic methods that does not exaggerate one at the expense of others. The writer's devotion is given to the poetic effects as well as realistic descriptions, and the strong poetic emotion run under the exact description of the facts. Both symbolism and realism truly serve this artistic purpose. Hemingway, in fact, concern himself with the interrelationship of these two kinds of technique, but he uses symbolism with a severe restraint that staunchly protects his realism. If we must classify him, with all his skillful use of symbolism, he remains the great realist of twentieth-century American fiction.

ARMA 모델의 次數決定과 最大近似法을 利用한 스펙트럼 推定에 關한 硏究

A spectral analysis from given data can be widely applied to system theory, optics, spectroscopy, oil exploration, earthquake analysis and many other areas. The signal is modeled as a linear combination of its past values and present and past values of a hypothetical input to a system whose output is a given signal. Using this model, spectral estimation problem can be reduced to estimate the ARMA coefficient and order determination problem. There are several order determination techniques in existence, most of which are trial and error based. The AIC and singularity test are such examples. This paper represents a new order determination technique using Gram-Schmidt orthonormalization and improves numerical performance by using normalized correlation coefficients. And recursive maximum likelihood algorithm is used for estimationg ARMA coefficients. Finally, Computer simulations are presented to illustate the above methods.
