Laos, a landlocked country in Southeast Asia, has most extensive network of ecosystems in the Indochina Peninsula, surrounded by Myanmar and China to the northwest, Vietnam to the east, Cambodia to the south and Thailand to the west. It is the tropical vegetation and warm climatic conditions influenced by monsoon. Such geographical and climatic condition is favorable for the diversity of insects. However, research or educative investigation on insects have been poorly conducted. Through recent expedition during dry season (between December 2012 and February 2013), mainly held at Phou Khao Khouay National Park (PKKNP), which varies from sheer sandstone cliffs and pristine river gorges to rough mountain slopes along the Mekong river, we recognized atotal of 88 lepidopteran insects belonging to 22 families, Arctidae, Attevidae, Choreutidae, Cossidae, Crambidae, Geometridae, Gracillariidae, Hesperidae, Hyblaeidae, Limacodidae, Lycaenidae, Lymantridae, Noctuidae, Nymphalidae, Oecophoridae, Papilionidae, Pieridae, Pyralidae, Scythrididae, Sphingidae, Uraniidae and Zygaenidae, were recognized.

Purpose – This study investigates the effects consumer perceptions of wine attributes have on repurchase intention. It examineshow wine purchase channels (online or offline) influence perceptions about wine attributes and repurchase intention. Research design, data, and methodology – A total of 390 responses from Florida residents over 21 were collected using online surveys. Responses were analyzed using exploratory factor analysis to identify the underlying wine attribute factors. Multiple regression and multi-group analysis were employed to test the hypotheses. Results – Results revealed that consumer perceptions of wine attributes (sensory, origin, reputation, and price point) significantly influence their repurchase intention. Additionally, the effects of wine attributes on repurchase intentions were found to be significantly different based on the channel used. Findings indicated that wine attributes pertaining to reputation and price point strongly influenced repurchase behavior of online consumers, while offline wine consumers were influenced more by sensory and origin attributes. Conclusions – Study findings provide useful information for wine industry sales channels for developing new marketing strategies to effectively attract wine consumers to repurchase wine.

<P>Microsized chemosensor particle (CPP-16, CPP means coordination polymer particle), which is made from a metal–organic framework (MOF), is synthesized using pyrene-functionalized organic building block. This building block contains three important parts, a framework construction part, a Cu2+ detection part, and a fluorophore part. PXRD studies have revealed that CPP-16 has a 3D cubic structure of MOF-5. During both MOF formation and sensing event, fluorophores within CPP-16 undergo dual changes in conformation and optical properties. After MOF construction, pyrene moieties experience an unusual complete conversion from monomer to excimer form. This conversion takes place due to a confinement effect induced by space limitations within the MOF structure. The selective sensing ability of CPP-16 on Cu2+ over many other metal ions is verified by emission spectra and is also visually identified by fluorescence microscopy images. Specific interaction of Cu2+ with binding sites within CPP-16 causes a second conformational change of the fluorophores, where they change from stacked excimer (CPP-16) to quenched excimer states (CPP-16·Cu2+).</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/jacsat/2014/jacsat.2014.136.issue-35/ja504204d/production/images/medium/ja-2014-04204d_0006.gif'></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/ja504204d'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P>

<P>An approach is presented that permits wide and reversible control of the optical bandwidth of spherical gold nanoparticles assembled on thermoreversible hydrogel colloids for various plasmonic-based thermochromisms. Temperature-dependent swelling and shrinking behaviors of the hydrogel colloids in aqueous systems manipulated assembly structures and optical signals of gold nanoparticles in the hybrid colloids. The optical bandwidths of the hybrid colloids increased with temperature, and thermoreversible bandwidth variations of the hybrid colloids were increased with the diameter of gold nanoparticles (from 15 to 51 nm). These hybrid colloids exhibited multiple colors switching during temperature changes (maximum four colors: wine ↔ violet ↔ dark blue ↔ faint blue). For the hybrid colloids showing a small bandwidth variation, another method was introduced to display different color switching.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/cmatex/2014/cmatex.2014.26.issue-10/cm501061t/production/images/medium/cm-2014-01061t_0006.gif'></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/cm501061t'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P>
