      • 열역학 실험식에 의한 Cd-Zn계의 안정 및 준안정 상태도의 계산

        For quantitative predictions of the metastable features and the compact expression of phase equilibria encountered in the extractive metallurgy of cadmium and zine, the calculations of stable and metastable equilibrium diagrams of the Cd-Zn system are made using the four parameter subregular solution model. Parameters of the thermodynamic functions are derived from the phase diagram data of "Bulletin of Alloy Phase Diagrams" and the enthalpy data of Wittig and Kleppa. Stable equilibrium diagram and thermodynamic quantities re-calculated from the optimized parameters agree with all the experimental data within the errors. Such metastable phase equilibria as the chemical spinodals, the locus of compositions and temperature where the Gibbs energies of the liquid and solid are equal(To), the metastable extensions of the solidus and liquidus curves, and metastable miscibility gaps. Excellent agreement of the calculated solvus boundary data with the experimental data is believed to provide a correct expectation of the metastable phase equilibria.

        The plasma spray technics has known as one of the surface modification methods to improve the mechanical properties or the functional charactristics of materials. This paper has been aimed to investigate the effects of plasma sprayed conditions, such as spray distance and arc power level, of plasma sprayed Al2O3-40%TiO2 costing layer. The optimum processing for ICBT spindle disk coated plasma spray are showed at spray distance 80mm, APL 40kw.

        Thermodynamic analysis of r-loop in Cr-Fe alloy system was carried out by using the Flag Code Method. The input data used are Dench's enthalpy data and Kubaschewski's phase diagram data. The thermodynamic expressions are Legendre Polynomials. The measured data are excellently represented by the optimized equation.

        We studied the homogeneous plating on the dented part of door frame by decreasing or increasing the current density, installing air blower, adjusting the length between anode and cathode, using auxiliary anode, developing the new plating bath and etc. When we performed the zinc cynade plating, there was no way to achieve the homogeneous plating layer without using auxiliary anode. However, it wasn't a suitable and efficient method for appling to the real process. After we developed the plating bath that had the uniform current density, we were able to get the homogeneous plating layer of zinc on the dented door frame.

        The thermodynamic properties of the liquid Zn-Cd-Sn solutions have been predicted from the binary component data by using a series of analytical expressions. The analytical expressions are developed by applying such binary empirical equations as the subreqular subreqular model and the Krupkowski equation. The geometrical methods employed for the derivation are Muggianu-, Kohler-, Colinet-, and Toop-methods. The experimental data of the Zn-Cd-Sn system measured by Ptak and Moser are found to be excellently represented by the derived expressions.

      • 사회환경교육의 교육과정 표준화 모형 및 통합프로그램 개발연구

        This paper presents the development of standardized modules and an integrated program which will be used for social environmental education. The study objectives are to develop modules which are based on various environmental topics, to relate the regional environmental topics to the educational modules and program, and to include the demand of students in the modules and program. Literature and questionary surveys, as well as, module development method were utilized as research tools. The titles of developed modules are "The Green Plant Earth," "Unexpected Resources: Save Resources and Recycle", "Water as the Mother of All Lives", "The Blue Sky with Clean Air", and "Soil as the Home of All Living and Non-living Things". It is hoped that the developed modules and program are utilized as course materials and curriculum for social environmental education in various educational institutes. The study results will be materialized as multimedia in near futher.

      • 대구시내 일부지역의 강화분진량 측정

        At a residential area in Daegu, the measurement of the ambient dust-fall and its particle size distribution were carried out by using a new dust-collection method, in which the adhesive film tape having a specific surface area and weight was adopted as sample collector. The results obtained by the new method can be summarized as follows : (1) The new sampling method is simple and convenient to measure the dust-fall and to analyse microscopically their particle size distribution. (2) The effective sampling period of the atmospheric dust-fall might be shorter than 48 hrs. For longer period, the adhesive capability of the film diminishes with time due to evaporation of adhesive ingredients from the collecting film surface. (3) The dust-fall amount observed at Daegu during a few months of 1989 shows to be smaller than that of WHO Standard, except in the dry season of March 1989. (4) The particle size distribution is shown to be multimodal. And the medium particle size of the dust-fall observed is in the range of 4.5-7.5㎛, and the arithmetic mean particle size is in the range of 11.5-12.8㎛

        Refining of crude thorium nitrate solution were carried out with 50% TBP―Xylene by a 3 stage countercurrent multisage extraction. The best results were obtained as follow. A refined thorium oxide of 99.6% purity was obtained (in higher recovery) as nearly pure rare earths when the crude thorium of 83.2% purity in 8N nitric acid was treated by 3 stage counterrent extraction with 50% TBP-Xylene. In order to obtain the thorium of high purity and high yield, the follwing processes were necessary. (1) Increase in number of extraction steps (2) addition of scrubbing stage, and (3) Applicating freshing solvent, instead of feed solution, to the lost extract.

        The effects of cyanide concentration and protective alkali were investigated, in cyanide process of sulfide gold ore, flotated in Yeung Dong Mine. The important results of this study are as follows; (1) Mineral sizes of below 80 mesh were extracted to about the same extent in the recovery of gold by cyanidation. (2) A gold of above 90% in recovery was obtained when cyanidation was carried out for 24 hours with 0.5% NaCN solution containing 0.05% CaO to which was added 1kg per ton of ore, after pre-aeration for 2 hours.

      • Cu-Pb 합금계의 열역학적 계산

        The thermodynamic properties and phase diagram of the Cu-Pb system were correlated by using the following orthogonal equation G??=X₁*(1-X₁)*f(X₁) where f(X₁)=q??+q₁*(2*X₁-1)+q₂*(6*X??-6*X₁+1)+q*(20*X??-30*X??+12*X₁-1) The optimized parameter values are q??=18708.2+3.204*T, q₁=12878.2-11.41*T, q₂=-10516.1+9.09*T and q₃=8239.3-6.433*T. The calculated phase diagram and thermodynamic properties agree well with the experimental data.
