        The method of test for permeability of unsaturated soil under controlled air pressure was examined. The result of test was approximately agree with theoretical equation of permeability. It was found that relationship between volumetric moisture content and suction was approximately agree with experiential equation in the low moisture content and that hydraulic properties was deflected with experiential equation in the high degree of saturation. It was considered that this aspects was influence of hydraulic gradient.

      • Poetic Diction 논쟁 小考 : Wordsworth 와 Coleridge 를 중심으로

        Lyrical Ballads에 붙인 Wordsworth의 Preface에 대한 Coleridge의 해석은 어쩌면 그 텍스트에 대한 비평적인 화제들과 판단들 중에서 가장 영향력있는 단일한 출처이다. 대부분의 비평가들은 Coleridge를 통해서 Preface를 해명하려고 시도하지만, 그가 시인의 의도를 명백히 하려기보다는 반박하려고 했던 사실을 인정하는 사람은 별로 없다. Coleridge는 우선 Wordsworth의 시에 대한 시비가 시들보다는 Preface에서 파생했다고 생각했다. 다시 말해서 시들에 있어서의 특정한 결함들은 그것들이 의도적이었다는 시인 자신의 선언이 아니었더라면 심각한 것이 아니었다고 믿었다. 그래서 Coleridge는 Wordsworth의 시의 가치를 규정짓기 위한 진정한 토대를 추구하는 데 있어서 Wordsworth의 비평 이론에 의해 조성된 장애를 제거하는 것이 필요하다고 생각했다. 그러나 Coleridge의 수사는 너무도 치밀해서 그것은 Preface를 논박했을 뿐만 아니라 그것을 재창조했다. 그의 논의는 poetic diction의 화제가 Wordsworth에게 있어서 부수적인 것에 불과한데도 그 후에 잇달아서 상당한 부피의 비평적인 논의들을 이끌어냈다. 그리고 그의 논의는 Wordsworth 쪽이나 Coleridge 쪽이나 다같이 많은 비평가들로 하여금 그것이 공격하는 명제들을 Wordsworth가 옹호하는 명제들로서 오해하게 만들었다. 결과적으로 Wordsworth의 Preface를 Coleridge의 비판을 통해서 읽은 비평가들은 Coleridge를 우수한 비평가로서, 그리고 Preface를 문제점이 많은 이론으로서 파악하는게 당연한 듯한 엄청난 결과를 파생했다. Coleridge's interpretation of the Preface to Lyrical Ballads is probably still the single most influential source of critical topics and judgments about Wordsworth's text. Thought most attempts to explicate the Preface start from Coleridge, few acknowledge that he was to refute, rather to clarify, Wordsworth's argument. Coleridge thought that the controversy over Wordsworth's poetry stemmed not so much from the poem as from the Preface, believing that certain flaws in the poems might not have been taken seriously but for Wordsworth's announcement that they were deliberate. In search of the true grounds for characterizing the value of Wordsworth's poetry, Coleridge found it necessary to remove the obstacle created by Wordsworth's critical theory. Coleridge's rhetoric has been so effective that it has not merely refuted the Preface but re-created it. His argument has drawn the bulk of subsequent critical commentary to the question of poetic diction, though that topic is subordinate in Wordsworth. The many critics who read Wordsworth through Coleridge seem unable to inquire into what the Preface is about without finding something wrong with it. From time to time critics have questioned Coleridge's interpretation of the Preface, but none has tested its accuracy in detail, perhaps because Coleridge made that task difficult. Since these difficulties complicate any attempt to pin down his interpretation, they must be examined at the outset.

        근관충전방법에 따른 폐쇄효과의 비교

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the sealing ability of various canal filling methods. Palatal roots of ninety extracted human maxillary molar teeth were resected at cementoenamel junction. Eighty of them were randomly assigned to four experimental groups, ten were served as positive and negative controls. All canals were prepared to #40 using Profile. Experimental groups were obturated by lateral condensation technique, Thermafil technique, Continuous Wave of Condensation Technique, and down-pack & back-fill technique of Obtura-Ⅱ, each with root canal sealer. Control groups were not obturated. Teeth were immersed in resorcinol-formaldehyde resin for 5 days at 4℃, and the resin was allowed to polymerize completely for 4 days at room temperature. Teeth were then ground horizontally at 1.5mm(level 1), 2.5mm(level 2), 3.5mm(level 3) from the anatomical apex and examined with a stereomicroscope at ×40 magnification. The gap between the canal wall and the filling material, which was obtained by calculating the ratio of the area of the resin to the total area of the canal and was analyzed statistically(Rank-sum test). The results were as follows : 1. At the level 1, there was the greatest leakage in the Thermafil group and Obtura-Ⅱ group, and the difference between the Obtura-Ⅱ group and Continuous Wave of Condensation Technique group was statistically significant(p<0.05). 2. At the level 2, there was the least leakage in the Continuous Wave of Condensation Technique group, but there was no statistically significant difference between each group(p>0.05). 3. At the level 3, there was no statistically significant difference between each group(p>0.05).

        급성호흡부전증 환자에서 초기 인공환기방식의 중요성 : 인공환기시 혈역학적으로 유의한 부정맥의 유발요인 분석

        Background: The purpose of this article was to identify the risk factors related to development of hemodynamically significant cardiac arrythmias in patients with mechanical ventilation. Methods and Results: Holter recording and echocardiogram were performed after 30 minutes of ventilator initiation in patients on mechanical ventilation(MV) owing to respiratory failure(RF) from various reasons. From 68 patients, hemodynamically significant cardiac arrythmias were detected in 18 patients(26.5%). Initial mean arterial pressure, maximal heart rate, and initial pH were identified as risk factors for hemodynamically significant cardiac arrythmlas. Additionally, the patients with pressure-controlled ventilation as an initial ventilatory mode developed hemodynamically significant cardiac arrythmias less frequently than the patients with other modes(15.8% vs. 40%, p=0.03). In multivariate analysis, initial mean arterial pressure(<70mmHg, odds ratio[OR]: 5.5; 95% confidence interval[CI]: 1.2 to 24.2, p=0.026), maximal heart rate(>120/min, OR: 19.7; 95% CI: 2.0 to 190.9, p=0.01), and pressure-controlled ventilation(OR: 0.13, 95% CI: 0.03 to 0.55, p=0.006) were associated with the development of hemodynamically significant cardiac arrhythmias. Conclusion: Theses findings suggest that during the early stages of mechanical ventilation with acute respiratory failure, hemodynamically significant cardiac arrhythmias are directly associated with tachycardia(>120/min), initial MAP(<70 mmHg), and, inversely, the initial use of pressure-controlled ventilation.

        The reaction between cupric oxide supported on Zeolite 13X and sulfur dioxide of 2200, 3300 and 4400 ppm has been carried out in a fixed bed reactor. The conversion rate of sulfur dioxide was increased with temperature increase and removal efficiency was high at low inlet concentration of sulfur dioxide. The results consistent with deactivating catalyst model proposed by Levenspiel in which a gas-solid catalytic reaction leads to the formation of a nonvolatile product. The rate constants for reaction and deactivation are respectively as follows: k = 1.518 exp (-5860.4/RT) k?? = 0.00033 exp (2678.6/RT)

        특수형 방사성 동위원소 운반캡슐의 안정성 평가

        특수형 방사성물질 운반캡슐은 국내외의 수송관련 법규에 규정된 기술기준을 만족하도록 설계, 제작되어야 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 하나로에서 생산된 192Ir 특수형 동위원소 운반캡슐의 건전성을 평가하는데 있다. 법규에서 규정된 낙하시험, 타격시험, 굽힘시헝 및 가열시험조건에 대한 안전성 시험을 수행하였으며, 각각의 시험 전후에 누설시험을 수행하였다. 또한, 안전성시험과 더불어 컴퓨터코드를 이용한 전산해석을 수행하여 안전성시험 전에 시험결과에 대한 예측자료로 활용되었다. 낙하시험 및 가열시험 결과 캡슐 표면에서 약간의 흠집과 변형이 발생하였으나, 각각의 시험에서 평가기준이 되는 캡슐의 손상이나 용융 등은 발생하지 않았다. 또한 각 시험 후 수행한 누설시험 결과 누설이 발생하지 않았다. 따라서 특수형 방사성물질 운반캡슐은 법규에서 규정하는 기술기준을 만족하도록 설계, 제작되었음이 입증되었다. All of sealing capsules to transport a special form radioactive material should be designed and fabricated in accordance with the design criteria prescribed in IAEA standards and domestic regulations. The objective of this study is to demonstrate the safety of a shipping capsule for 192Ir special form radioisotope which produceed in the HANARO. The safety tests were carried out for the impact, percussion, bending and heat test conditions. And leakage tests were carried out before and after the each test. Also, the safety analyses were performed using computer codes in order to verify the test results. The capsule showed slight scratches and deformation, and maintained its structural and thermal integrities in all tests without any severe damage or melting. It also met the allowable limits of leakage rate after earth test. Therefore, it has been verified that the capsule was designed and fabricated to meet all requirements for the special form.

        심폐소생술중 심실기능 및 판막운동의 평가

        Background : Mechanism of blood flow during cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) in humans remains controversial and poorly understood, although cardiac or thoracic pump theory was proposed. We investigated cardiac movement, ventricular function and atrioventricular valve motion with aid of transesophageal echocardiography during precordial compression during CPR in humans. Methods and results : During CPR transesophageal echocardiography was performed in 14 patients with non-traumatic cardiac arrest. Manual precordial compression during CPR was performed according to American Heart Association guidelines. Mitral valve closed in 9 and did not close in 5 patients during "compression systole". Tricuspid valve closed during compression systole. Compression vector directed to right ventricle, basal portion of interventricular septum and left atrium. The heart rotated clockwise and the apex was more displaced than the base("swing motion"). Fractional shortening(FS) and ejection fraction(EF) of right ventricle exceeded those of left ventricle(FS : 55±9% vs 18±8%, p<0.05), EF : 79±9% vs 37±16%, p<0.05). FS and EF of left ventricle was higher in patients with systolic mitral valve closure than patients with persistent systolic opening of mitral valve(FS : 21±7 vs 13±7%, EF : 45±12 vs 22±12%, p<0.05), but FS and EF of right ventricle was not different. Conclusion : During precordial compression, the heart rotated clockwise and displaced. Systolic function of right ventricle exceeded left ventricle. Marked compression of right ventricle and systolic closure of tricuspid valve suggested that right ventricle functioned as a pump generating blood flow during precordial compression. Closure of mitral valve was dependant on systolic function of the left ventricle.

      • 素問·刺法論에 對한 硏究

        This fasciale, a remainder of So Moon(素問) with Bon Byung Ron(本病論), is a part of the theory of the Five Circuit Phases and the Six Atmospheric Influences(五運六氣學) that studied and discussed the rules of the weather change in ancient oriental medicine. The change in weather is one of the most important factors which influence man's health therefore the theory is worth while to study further. This fascicle explains the cause of diseases occured by irregular and exceptional change of weather and acupunctural treatment methods to prevent and cure those kinds of disease as its title -Ja Bup Ron(刺法論)-suggests. During Tang Dynasty(唐) when Wang Ping(王氷) commentated the So Moon(素問) only the title of this fascicle was kept but the contents of it was lost differing from Seven volumes of the Five Circuit Phases and the Six Atmospheric Influences(運氣七篇). However in the times of the North Song Dynasty(北宋) when Kao Pao-Heng(高保衡), Lin I(林億) and the other scholars studied and compared medical books this fasciale and another lost fasciale-Bon Byung Ron(本病論) appeared with theirs notes. So these two fascicles called Lost Volumes of So Moon(素問遺篇). But we can infer these two fascicles were written by a certain Taoist during the ninth and tenth century A.D. - the former times of Kao Pao-Heng(高保衡), Lin I(林億) and the other scholars studied and compared medical books during the North Song Dynasty(北宋) since Wang Ping(王氷) because this fascicle connots the Taoism training methods such as Pe Gi(閉氣), Jon Sang Bup(存想法) and Oi Dan Bup(外丹法) and so on. This thesis runs as follows; Chapter 1 deals with acupuncture treatment to prevent and cure UI(鬱) disease occuerd by Sung Gi Bu Jun(升之不前) of the Six Atmospheric Influence(六氣). Chapter 2 deals with acupuncture treatment to prevent and cure diseases due to Bul Chun Jung(不遷正) and Bul Toi Wui(不退位) of the Six Atmospheric Influence(六氣). Chapter 3 deals with acupuncture treatment of an epidermic(疫癘) due to the deviation of the Five Ciecuit Phases from the regularity(五運失守). Chapter 4 deals with the symptomes of an epidemi and the preventive treatments such as Jon Sang Bup(存想法), Vomitory treatment(吐法), respiratory treatment(汗法) and So Kum Dan Bang(小金丹方). Chapter 5 deals with the interaction among the five viscera and the six bowels as well as the principle of the acupuncture.

        Hinman 증후군(비신경인성 신경인성 방광) 1예

        Objectives : The Hinman Syndrome is a condition representing urinary voiding dysfunction in a neurologically intact child. This syndrome probably is an acquired behavioral and psychosocial disorders. We present a case presenting voiding dysfuntion with no neurologic etiology. Case : The departmcnt of urology consulted the department of psychiatry for a psychiatric evaluation of a 14-year-o1d girl with a history of recurrent urinary tract infections, enuresis, and urinary dribbling since early childhood. She visited the emergency room bccausc of severe abdominal pain and hematuria. She was admitted to the department of urology. Neurological tests showed no abnormality, but a retrograde cystogram showed free vesicoureteral reflux to the level of the dilated intrarenal collecting systems. Marked blunting and dilatation of the caliccs suggested longstanding urinary flow obstruction. She had a history of scparation anxiety disorder and was very competetive, perfectionistic, and nervous. She also had very poor relationships with her friends and had difficults in managing them. Afer admission, she had stent operation and cystostomy. Antidepressant and anxiolytic medications with supportive psychotherapy were administered to treat anxiety, tension and depression. Gradually, her depressive symptoms and voiding difficulties improved. Conclusions : Psychological factors such as a perfectionistic and obsessive personality, a history of severe separation anxiety, stressors from poor interpersonal relationships and Ihe failure of an entrance examination seem to have contributes to the development and exacerbation of the urinary dysfunction. Pharmacotherapy and supportive psycho-therapy may be efective in treating associated psychiatric problems of these patients with hinman syndrome.
