This study was conducted to suggest appropriate methods for management of urban forest after investigating the present condition and problems of urban forests by analyzing vegetation and soil properties in urban forests in the Daejeon. On the basis of our research, Pinus rigida dominate Gyejoksan and Bomunsan. Pinus densiflora dominate Wolpyeong park and Quercus acutissima dominate Namsun park. On the basis of our result of analysis of soil chemical properties, all investigated areas have low pHs, available phosphates and exchangeable cations. They indicate that the soil of those areas have been acidifying progressively. Soil hardness measurements were conducted to know the conditions of trampled soils and the results of them show that soil hardness in Namsun park was higher than the others. This indicates that human interference affect the health of the urban forest.

PGE₁ is endogenious substance of potent vasodialator as well as inhibitor of platelet aggregation. It has been used therapeutically in peripheral arterial occlusive disease and impotence. Intracavernous for erectile dysfunction of diverse etiologies, but this mode of administration is limited by penile discomfort, pain ant the injection site, inconvenience and noncompliance. As the matter of worse, the β-hydroxy moiety of PGE₁ is extremely susceptible to dehydration in solution to give inactive PGA₁ and PGB₁. For the improvement of stability, rapid absorption at action site and the convenience of application, PGE₁ was formulated as urinary suppositories of three types of formulations, PEG, witepsol, and the mixture of PEG and witepsol. Withe the three types of formulations, the stability test of PGE₁ and the release test in urinary suppositories were performed. And the effect of enhancers and vehicle composition on the Penetration of PGE₁ through excised rat skin was evaluated by permeability coefficient and enhancement ratio.

There is flat tension shadow mask in a perfect flat color display tube which is developed by LG Electronics, co.. The Shadow mask is stretched some pretension distribution to resist thermal expansion and vibration problem. In this paper a submodeling analysis method is presented to design the shadow mask. The objective of this analysis is to consider failure at the alignment hole and the slots near the alignment hole. The location of maximum stress correlates very well with the location of actual failures.

The object of these analyses is to calculate stretching forces of inter changeable shadow mask inside the perfect flat monitor. There are millions of holes in a shadow mask. For the realistic finite element analysis, effective elastic modulus and Poisson ratios are calculated using unit cells. The linear superposition of load cases is used to determine the optimum stretching forces for uniform strain field in a mask array. The finite element analysis results are good agreement with test results.

Empty cross-linked albumin microcapsules were prepared by chemical denaturation method using glutaraldehyde(GA) or terephthaloyl chloride(TP) as a cross-linking agent. The binding efficiency of cross-linked albumin microcapsules was evaluated as a function of various conditions. Increasing of the concentrations of cross-linking agent, stirring time, the amount of microcapsules and the initial PropranololㆍHCl(PPHㆍHCl) concentration reduced the binding ability of these microcapsules. But the increasing of the mean particle diameter increase that of these microcapsules. The release rates of PPHㆍHCl from the ion-exchange albumin microcapsules were retarded compared with the powder. And the total amount of drug released was dependent on the nature, the concentration of ionic strength of the cations used.

For the administration of narcotic antagonist with short half-life and low patient compliance. the sustained release system using biodegradable matrix is effective. Polyphosphazenes are of considerable interest as biodegradable matrix systems for controlled release of drugs. In this study. biodegradable polyphosphazenes available for the sustained release implantable device were synthesized. and their application was examined. Poly〔dichlorophosphazene〕 was synthesized by solution polymerization method and confirmed with IR spectrum. Poly〔bis(ethyl glycinate) phosphazene〕 and poly[(diethyl glutamate)-co-(ethyl glycinate)phosphazene] were then produced by substitution of amino acid alkyl esters for chloride side groups. Using these polymers. the implantable devices of 1 ㎜ thickness and l0 × 10 ㎜ size containing naloxone hydrochloride were prepared and their release and degradation profiles were measured. In the case of poly〔bis(ethyl glycinate)phosphazene〕 with swelling characteristics, degradation rate was slower than the release rate, showing that the release rate is partly dependent on the swelling rate. In contrast, the degradation rate of poly〔(diethyl glutamate)-co-(ethyl glycinate)phos-phazene〕 matrix was identical with release rate of naloxone hydrochloride. On the basis of these results, it is expected that these polymers can be applied to sustained release implantable systems delivering narcotic antagonist.

The developmet of the material civilization made not only the radical change of the modern social structure, but the coming of the internationalizational times. Started to receive the influence of the social stream in Western countries, our sociecty has undergone a great change. As an example of phenomena of the social changer we can point out the rise of the women's legal position and the increase of the women's social participation and influence power. Therefore, the women's education for the betterment of their natural disposition forms the important social factor. Nevertheless, under our traditional conservative society the women's education has been almost disregarded for a long time, and in consequence the educational data for the study of women are not sufficient under the present circumstances. In this paper, as a reference data for the women's social educaion, an effort has been made to analyze their tendency to the social education. The conclusions of discussion are as follows : Firstly. the woman's interest in the social education is in proportion to the degree of their living standard. It means that most of women think the social education elective, not required, Secondly, the more women had experience in learning the social education, the higher their interest and the ratio of participation are. Thirdly, most of women want the social education to be the mastering means of technique for their life as well as the increase of intelligence.
