        Obtained results for study as above are as follows. 1. The unit depth of water of the present state of reservoirs was below 160 millimeter on the average. 2. The frequency of drought happened one time per three years. 3. The ratio of a well irrigated paddy field was less than 40%. 4. When the unit depth of water of reservoirs is at least 300 millimeter, it is regarded as a well irrigated paddy field. 5. If possible technically, when we raise the present state of dam height of reservoirs more than 1 meter, we can store up the irrigation water for somehow 20 days.

        열형광선량계에 의한 선량평가 알고리즘 개발

        본 연구의 목적은 ANSI N13. 11-1983의 시험기준에서 제시한 개인선량계의 선량평가 시험범주를 모두 만족시킬 수 있는 선량평가 알고리즘을 개발하는데 있다. 알고리즘 개발 대상 개인선량계로는 Teledyne Isotopes사의 PB-3 열형광선량계로 하였다. 개발된 알고리즘에 대한 미국 Atlan-Tech사와의 2차례의 검증결과, 본 알고리즘은 ANSI N-13. 11-1983의 선량평가 범주를 모두 만족시키는 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study is to develop an algorithm of TLD dose evaluation to meet all requirements stated in ANSI N13. 11-1983. It made the PB-3 TLD of Teledyne Isotopes an object of the development. Personal dosimetry performance testings of the development algorithm have been performed twice through the Atlan-Tech, INC. in accordance with the criteria of testing described in ANSI N13. 11-1983. As a result, it is assured that the developed algorithm has complied with all requirements stated in ANSI N13-1983.

      • 불소배합 음용수와 불화우유 섭취에 의한 백서치아 탈회 억제효과 비교

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the inhibitory effect of fluoride in the water and milk on tooth enamel dissolution by commercial beverages. 3 weekold 60 female sprague-Dawley strain were divided into four groups and given the following dosage of fluoride in the drinking water:0,1,5 and 50ppm for six and twelve weeks ad libitum. Upper incisors were prepared for specimen with low speed dental disc.The slabs of each incisors were embedded in unsaturated polyester,polished with #1,200 silicon carbide paper and aluminisilicate powder.Three kinds of beverage were selected for test medium and enamel slabs of rat incisors were dipped for 60 and 120 minutes in each beverage.Surface microhardness was examined before and after dissolution with beverage. All collected data were analyzed using the SAS package.Differences between groups were compared by the one-way ANOVA,Duncan's multiple range test and ANCOVA procedures. Corresponding p-values were considered significant at the values less than 0.05. The obtained results were as follows: 1. Surface microhardness was significantly increased both 6 and 12 weeks groups compared with control group. Surface microhardness of high fluoride groups were also proportionally increased with increasing concentration of fluoride both in the water and milk. 2. There were significant differences of inhibitory effect of surface microhardness after 60 and 120 minutes emersion periods,and both at 6 and 12 weeks group in the veverage B and C,but not appeared in the beverage A. 3. The inhibitory effect of enamel dissolution was higher in the 12 weeks group than 6 weeks group both at the water fluoridation and milk fluoridation. 4. The differences of micro hardness between before and after emersion in the beverages were larger in the milk fluoridation groups than water fluoridation groups.

      • 발전기 운전조건을 고려한 지상 조상설비설치계획의 적정기준 수립

        Nowadays cooperative operation of VAR compensation facilities such as shunt reactors, generators, etc is more necessary than ever before under light load condition because line charging capacity is becoming larger due to the expansion of under ground cable in urban area and the construction of 765kV transmission system. In order to accomplish optimal reactive power operation under light load condition without switching off any tranmission lines, proper investment plan of shunt reactors should be established with optimal criteria and methodology since differently adopted criiteria would result in different investment plan especially the amount of shunt reactors. This paper presents the optimal criteria and methodolgy for the shunt reactor planning and compare it with conventional criteria with the practical view point.

      • 數種의 市販 淸凉飮料에 依한 琺瑯質 脫灰效果

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of tooth enamel dissolution by commercial beverages. Five kinds of beverages(cola, cider, aquarius, boribori and sunkist orange) were selected for test medium and sixteen of extracted 3rd molar were used for tooth enamel specimens. The acidity of each beverage was determined with pH meter and the concentration of total glucose was checked with Glucose kit and U-V spectrophotometer. The dissolved calcium was determined by Atomic Absoprtion Spectrophotometer and the change of enamel surfaces were observed with Scanning Electron Microscopy(× 400 & × 1,000 magnification). All collected data were analyzed by one-way & two-way ANOVA in SPSS/PC^+ program. The obtained results were as follows: 1. The major containing acid type of cola beverage was phosphoric acid but the other beverages(cider, aquarius, boribori and sunkist) were citric acid. The pH of each beverage was lowest in cola and sport drink, cider, boribori, fruit juice in ascending order(F=205.85, p<0.001), the average pH of 5 kinds of beverage was 2.84 ±0.04, all beverages used in this experiment were low enough to decalcify the tooth enamel. The total glucose concentration of each beverage was 2.74% in aquarius, 2.78% in cider, 3.96% in sunkist, 4.23% in boribori and 4.27% in cola. 2. The average dissolved calcium concentration in 5cc of beverage was 1.54±0.12ppm/5㎖ of HNO_3 in cola, 1.76±0.38ppm in sunkist, 1.90±0.09ppm in boribori, 3.03±0.09ppm in aquarius, 3.59±0.38ppm in cider and the final calcium contents, which is extrated original calcium contents from total calcium contents after 120 minutes were highest in cola(1.27ppm) and aquarius(1.02ppm), cider(0.58ppm), sunkist(0.45ppm), boribori(0.33ppm) in the order(p<0.05). 3. The direct proportional relationship was not found between the degree of surface change on Scanning Electron Microscopy and the amount of dissolved calcium per immersion time. But the more the immerging time was lengthened, the more surface change was observed. The surface change of 120 minutes group was more remarkable than 30 and 60 minutes immerged group in each beverage.

      • Al₂O₃纖維 强化 알루미늄 複合材料에서 合金元素 添加가 界面反應에 미치는 影響

        In the fabrication of the fiber reinforced aluminum alloy composites was made by liquid metal vacuum infiltration. Emphasis was placed on the study addition of alloying elements to matrices and interface interactions between fiber and matrices. Al₂O₃fiber well wetted in Al-Mg, Al-Li and poorly in Al-Cu-Mg alloys but pure Al and Al-Cu matrices bad wetted. The distribution of constituents at the interaction zones between reinforcements and matrices was analysed by EDS and WDS.

      • Adriamycin 백서자궁경부 기질내 교원섬유에 미치는 영향

        Adriamycin은 Streptomyces peucetius var. caesius에서 추출한 항균성 항암제로서 세포내의 핵산과 결합하여 핵산 및 단백질의 합성을 억제하므로 종양세포의 증식을 억제하는 화학요법제이다. 그러나 adriamycin은 암환자에게 투여하면 종양세포 뿐 아니라 정상세포에도 손상을 초래하여 여러가지 부작용을 일으키므로 저자는 adriamycin을 백서에 투여하면 자궁경부내 섬유모세포의 단백질 합성이 억제되어 교원섬유의 양 및 분포에 변화가 야기될 것으로 사료되어 체중 200mg 내외의 Wistar계 자성 백서를 질도말법으로 발정주기를 확인하고 백서 체중 kg당 5mg의 adriamycin을 5일간 복강내에 투여하였으며, 희생시키기 직전 다시 발정주기를 확인한 후 경동맥사혈로 희생하고 개복하여 자궁경부를 적출하였다. 적출한 자궁경부는 두께 6㎛의 연속절편을 만들어 일반적인 자궁경부 조직의 변화를 관찰하기 위하여 hematoxylin 및 eosin 염색을 새행하였고 교원섬유의 관찰을 위하여 van Gieson 염색을 시행하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. Adriamycin 투여군 백서 자궁경부의 상피세포층은 대조군 백서 자궁경부의 상피세포층에 비하여 위축되었다. 2. Adriamycin 투여군 백서 자궁경부 기질내 교원섬유의 van Gieson 염색에 대한 반응은 모든 발정주기에서 감소하였다. 3. Adriamycin 투여군 백서 자궁경부 기질내 교원섬유의 분포는 대조군 백서 자궁경부 기질내 교원섬유 분포의 치밀도에 비하여 감소하였다. 이상의 결과를 종합한 바 백서에 adriamycin을 투여하면 자궁경부의 상피세포 및 섬유모세포에 독성으로 작용하여 상피세포층이 위축되고 교원섬유의 van Gieson 염색반응 정도 및 분포의 치밀도가 감소하는 것으로 사료된다. It is well known that adriamycin, an anthracycline antibiotics isolated from Streptomyces peucetius var. caesius inhibits DNA and RNA synthesis and exhibits a significant antitumor activity against various tumors. Although adriamycin is very effective against tumor cell proliferation, it may also damage the normal cells of the body and develop the toxic effects during treatment of cancer patients. In this experiment, the authors studied the effect of adriamycin on the rat uterine cervix, observing the changes in content and distribution of collagen fibers in the uterine cervix of the rat. Fourty female Wistar strain rats, weighing about 200gm and exhibiting normal estrous cycle, were used as experimental animals. After confirmaiton of estrous cycle by mean of vaginal smear, the animals of experiment and control groups were injected intraperitoneally with 5mg/kg of adriamycin diluted in 0.2ml of distilled water and with 0.2ml of normal saline for 5 days, respectively. On the 5th day after administration of adriamycin and normal saline the expeimental animals were sacrificed by carotid exsanguination. The obtained cervix uteri was fixed in 10%. neutral buffered formalin solation(pH 7.2) and paraffin sections, 6㎛ in thickness, were made. Histological preparations were prepated by way of hematoxylin and eosin stain for the general changes of uterine cervix, and van Gieson's stain for the changes of collagen fibers in rat uterine cervix. The results obtained were as follows : 1. Epithelial cells in the adriamycin treated uterine cervix were atrophied. 2. Reaction of collagen to van Gison's stain in the adriamycin treated uterine cervix was decreased at all stages of estrous cycle. 3. The distribution of collagen in the adriamycin treated uterine cervix was less compact than the control uterine cervix. Consequently, it is suggested that the atrophy of epithelial layer, a decreased reaction to van Gieson's stain, and less compact distribution of collagen fibers may be resulted from cytotoxic effect of adriamycin on the eptihelial cells and fibroblasts in the rat uterine cervix.

      • 생체분해성 망막압정을 이용한 망막고정에 대한 실험적 연구

        Biodegradable retinal fixation devices obtain mechnical fixation of the retina with desirable chorioretinal scarring and with the potential for local, sustained release of antimetabolites and steroids to inhibit proliferative vitreoretinopathy. We manufactured a biodegradable retinal tack with barb that was designed in order to prevent intrusion from implantation of retinal tacks. This study was carried to evaluate the efficacy for retinal fixation and the capability for sustained release of drugs with a newly designed biodegradable retinal tack Biodegradable retinal tacks were made of polymers of glycolic acids and were designed with barbs in a shape to prevent the disinsertion. Biodegradale retinal tacks are divided into 3 parts, a conical portion that is inserted into the sclera, a cylinder portion that remains in the vitreous, and a neck portion between the pin and the cylinder. The tapered conical end was manufactured to allow easy insertion through the retina and choroid into the sclera. A cylinder portion was manufactured with a tapered angle that fixes firmly into the orifice of 19 gauge spinal needle. A neck portion, 0.4 mm in diameter, was designed to prevent disinsertion from following implantation of retinal tack. The applicator was a 19 gauge spinal needle and its orifice was prepared to 15°angle to accept the tapered cylinder portion of the retinal tack. The retinal tacks, secured in the needles, were passed through the formed vitreous and inserted into the retina, choroid, and sclera and were released by pushing the internal needle, usually within 2-3mm of the medullary ray of the posterior rabbit retina A retinal tack was placed in each of 8 pigmented rabbit eyes. Slit-lamp biomicroscopy, indirect ophthalmoscopy and fundus photography were performed periodically from 1 day to 8 weeks after surgery. Eight eyes were enucleated and studied by light microscopy at 8 weeks. Biomicroscopic evaluation of the animals revealed edemas adjacent to the retinal surfaces immediately after insertion of the biodegradable retinal tacks in all the animals. These edemas disappeared after 1 week. The first noticeable change in the size of retinal tacks was shown after 2weeks. The size of the retinal tacks gradually got smaller, decreasing to about one-half at 4 weeks and about one-third at 8 weeks. All retinal tacks remained in inserted places without any movement for an 8 week period. On light microscopy, epiretinal proliferations were seen to extend into the vitreous cavity. Cellular capsules that lined the inner aspect of the scleral defect caused by tack insertion were found. However the adjacent retina had a normal cytologic appearance and architecture in all specimens. We manufactured a biodegradable retinal tack that is designed to prevent intrusion from implantation of retinal tacks. All biodegradable retinal tacks reduce in size with time, but no retinal tacks extruded from the inserted place. The newly designed biodegradable retinal tack can be used for retinal fixation and may be used as a vehicle for the introduction of pharmacologic agents to prevent the cellular events that promote proliferative vitreoretinopathy.

      • 생체분해성 안과제형의 안구내흡수정도와 안독성

        An improved retinal tack can be used to fix the retina in complicated retinal detachment and proliferative vitreoretinopathy. We used the retinal tack made by biodegradable polyglycolic acid, polylactic acid and copolymers. The tacks with polyglycolic acid were placed in the retina the right eyes of 10 rabbits as group 1, with polylactic-polyglycolic acid copolymers as group 2 in each left eyes. We examined the absorption rates and degree of intraocular inflammation at 1 day, 1, 2, 4, and 8 weeks and compared both eyes. The tacks were absorbed with time in both eyes, but more rapid in copolymers. And there was no inflammation in both eyes. Now, this study will be a base on the drug delivery system in intraocular pharmacological and surgical management.

      • 생체분해성 고분자를 이용한 사시수술용 제형개발 및 효용성에 대한 연구

        A new device, muscle clamping system was developed to facilitate exact quatifying technique A strabismus surgery, and reduce the risk of complications. The device is composed of a lower fixing body with three jaws and an upper supporting body. They are used to clip an extraocular muscle and fix it to the sclera with a single bite. Superior rectus recession on 16 rabbit eyes were performed with this new device. Conjunctival injection, muscle adhesion strength, and light microscopic findings were examined at 1, 2, 4 and 8 weeks postoperatively. The Conjunctival injection were minimal, adhesion power ranged from 420 to 600 gram gravity, which is sufficient in withstand the normal pull of human extraocular muscle. In microscopic exam, some Inflammatory cells and fibrosis were found. The new device was technically easy, fast, and accurate, so it may be useful in stabismus surgery.
