      • 12주간의 유산소성 운동이 비만 초등학생의 신체조성과 혈액성분에 미치는 영향

        [Purpose] The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of aerobic exercise training on the body composition and blood components in obese elementary children after 12 weeks. [Methods] Subjects of this study were composed of 20 male students ranging in age from 9 to 12 years who were classified into two groups, obese exercise group(n=10) and normal control group(n=10). For 12 weeks, obese exercise group performed the aerobic exercise training that the program was composed by Yoon. The blood samples were taken before and after 12 week Paired t-Test was adopted to analyse the difference between before and after aerobic exercise training. [Results] body fat of obese exercise group was decreased 4.8% after aerobic exercise training(p<.01) and that of normal control group was decreased 0.1% during same time(NS). Among the blood lipoprotein, total cholesterol(p<.01), LCL-C(p<.01), and triglycerides(p<.05) of obese exercise group were decreased after aerobic exercise training, but not changed HDL-C of same group. Red blood cell, Hemoglobin(p<.65) of obese exercise group were increased after aerobic exercise training. Glucose of obese exercise group were decreased after aerobic exercise training(p<.05), but not changed in Ca and P. [Conclusion] In conclusion, aerobic exercise training for 12 weeks seems to reduce body might and body fat, and to change the profiles of blood Component in obese elementary children.

        서울거주 일반성인의 수면양상의 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the sleep patterns of the general adult population. The subjects of this study were 1,049 general adults in Soul and this study was performed from March 1990 to July 1990. The results were as follows ; 1) The mean value for sleep length was 6.42±1.41 hours and there were no significant sex difference. In the above 51-year-old age group, sleep length was significantly shorter compared with the other two age groups(p<0.05), 202(19.3%) reported sleeping more than 8 hours and 847(80.7%) reported sleeping less than 8 hours. 2) The mean value for sleep latency was 23.40±23.03 minutes and there were no significant sex difference. In the above 51-year-old age group, sleep latency was longer than the other two age groups(p<0.05). The mean value for sleep latency in the group of respondents who complained difficulty falling asleep(DFA) was 26.85±25.51 minutes and in the group of respondents who did not complain difficulty falling asleep less than 8 hours. 2) The mean value for sleep latency was 23.40±23.03 minutes and there were no significant sex difference. In the above 51-year-old age group, sleep latency was longer than the other two age groups(p<0.05). The mean value for sleep latency in the group of respondents who complained difficulty falling asleep(DFA) was 26.85±5.51 minutes and in the group of respondents who did not complain difficulty falling asleep was 17.64±24.31minutes. The former was significantly longer than the latter(p<0.000l). 3) The time of awakening was earlier than the other two age groups (p<0.05). The mean value for the time of awakening in the group of respondents who complained early morning awakening was 5.41±1.20hrs. and in the group of respondents who did not complain early morning awakening was 5.52±1.02hrs. There were no significant difference bet ween the two groups. 4) 654(62.3 % ) complained difficulty falling asleep(DFA), 759(72.4%) complained broken sleep (BS), and 422(40.2%) complained early morning awakening(EMA). Broken sleep was more common in females than males (p<0.05) and early morning awakening was more common in above 51-year-old age group(p<0.05). 5) 301(28.7%) had a nap and the frequency of nap was significantly more in the above 51-year-old age group (p<0.000l). 6) The number of subjects who experienced daytime drowsness were significantly more in the 18-30-year-old age group than the other two age groups(P<0.000l). Snoring was significantly more frequent in the above 51-year-old age group (p<C0.005) and in the males than the females(p<0.005). 7) Of the total sample, 428(40.8 %) reported nightmares. 399(38.0%) reported sleeptalking. 178(17.0%) reported bruxism. and 24(2.3%) reported sleepwalking. Nightmares was more common in the 18-30-year-old age group(p<0.0l).

        Rheology of Decamethylceclopentasiloxane (cyclomethicone) W/O Emulsion System

        A highly dispersed W/O emulsion of silicone oil (cyclomethicone)/water system was prepared with a nonionic surfactant. The surface and interfacial tension between the oil and water were characterized in terms of the droplet size distribution and viscosity change of the emulsion. When the dispersed phase concentration was relatively high, the viscosity of the emulsion was rapidly increased and the droplet size of the emulsion was decreased. The rheological behavior of the emulsion system showed non-Newtonian and shear thinning phenomena depending upon the content of the dispersed phase. The droplet size of the emulsion was decreased with increasing surfactant content and water concentration. The relative viscosity of the emulsion was better predicted with the Choi-Schowalter model than with the Taylor model. The value of the complex modulus increased with increasing surfactant concentration. The linear viscoelastic region was expanded with a dispersed phase concentration. According to the change in the viscosity, the behavior was classified into three distinct regions: [I] linear viscoelastic, [II] partially viscoelastic, and [III] viscous. The creep/recovery behaviors in each region were characterized.

        주요우울증 환자의 Interleukin-1β, -2, -6 생산성과 혈청 농도의 변화 및 시상하부-뇌하수체-부신피질축 기능의 상관성

        주요우울증의 면역기능 이상과 HPA axis 사이의 관계를 규명하고자 본 연구를 시행하였다. DSM-Ⅲ-R 진단기준에 의해 주요우울증으로 진단된 16명의 여러 환자를 대상군으로 하고 대상군과 연령을 일치시킨 16명의 여자를 대조군으로 선택하였다. Basal cortisol 농도와 IL-1β, IL-2, IL-6 생산성 및 형청농도를 두군에서 각각 측정하여 비교하였다. 또한 주요우울증군에서 IL-1β, IL-2, IL-6 생산성 및 혈청농도와 basal cortisol 농도, post-DST cortisol 간의 상관관계를 알아보았다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 주요우울증군의 basal cortisol 농도14.4±4.6㎍g/dl, 대조군은 10.1±5.2㎍/dl로 주요우울증군이 정상대조군보다 유의하게 높았다(t=2.47 : df=30, p〈0.05). 2) IL-2 생산성은 주요우울증군 1747.3±387.9pg/ml, 정상대조군 2520.2±884.1pg/ml로 주요우울증군이 대조군보다 유의하게 낮았다(t=-3.08 : df=30, p〈0.05). IL-1β 생산성과 IL-6 생산성은 양군간에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 3) IL-2 혈청농도는 주요우울증군 16명중 12명(75%), 정상대조군 16명중 10명(62.5%)에서 측정이 가능하였으며, 주요우울증군 109.3±22.8pg/ml, 정상대조군 143.8±72.0pg/ml,로 양군간에 유의한 차이는 없었다. IL-1β혈청농도는 양군에서 각각 3명씩 검출이 가능하였고, IL-6 혈청농도는 양군 모두에서 검출되지 않았다. 4) 주요우울증군에서 IL-2 생산성과 post-DST cortisol 농도사이에 유의한 역상관관계가 있었으며 (r=-0.89), IL-2 혈청농도와 post-DST cortisol 농도사이에 유의한 역상관관계가 있었다(r=-0.97). 주요우울증군에서 IL-2 혈청농도와 basal cortisol 농도사이에 유의한 역상관관계가 있었으나(r=-0.65), IL-2 생산성과 basal cortisol 농도사이에 유의한 상관관계는 없었다. 주요우울증군에서 IL-1β, IL-6 생산성과 basal cortisol 농도, post-DST cortisol 농도 사이에 유의한 상관관계는 없었다. 이러한 결과들은 주요우울증에서 면역기능이 저하되어있고 이러한 면역기능저하에 HPA axis 활성화가 관련되어 있다는 가설에 부가적인 자료로 제시될 수 있겠다. The present study was carried out in order to investigate the relationship between immune function and the activity of hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal(HPA) axis is patients with major depression. The subjects were 16 female major depressives and 16 female healthy controls. We measured mitogen-induced production of IL-1β, IL-2, IL-6 and serum level of IL-1β, IL-2, IL-6 and basal plasma cortisol levels at 8 : 00 a.m. We measured post-DST(dexamethasone suppression test) cortisol levels in 16 major depressive. The results were as follows : 1) Basal cortisol level was significantly higher in the patients with major depression than in the healthy controls(14.4±4.6㎍g/dl, 10.1±5.2㎍/dl, respectively, p〈0.05). 2) IL-2 production was significantly lower in the patients with major depression than in the healthy controls(1747.3±387.9pg/ml, 2520.2±884.1pg/ml, respectively, p〈0.05). There were no significant differences in IL-1β and IL-6 production between the patients with major depression and the healthy controls. 3) Serum level of IL-2 was detectable in 12 to 16 patients with major depression and in 10 of 16 healthy controls. There was no significant difference in serum level of IL-2 between two groups. Serum level of IL-1β was detectable in 3 of 16 patients with major depression and of 16 healthy controls. We could not detect serum level of IL-6 in both groups. 4) There was significant negative correlation between IL-2 production and post-DST cortisol level(r=-0.89) in the 16 patients with major depression. There was significant negative correlation between serum level IL-2 and post-DST cortisol level(r=-0.97) in the 12 patients with major depression. There was significant negative correlation between serum level IL-2 and basal cortisol level(r=-0.65) in the 12 patients with major depression. But there was no significant correlation between IL-2 production and basal cortisol level in the 16 patients with major depression. These finding suggest that immune function is decreased in major depression and the decreased immune function is highly related to the hyperactivity of the HPA axis.

        New cephalosporin antibiotics, 7-[(3, 4-dihydro-6-alkoxycarbonyl-2, 2-dimethyl-2H-l, 4-thiazin-3-yl) acetamido]-3-[(2,5-dihydro-6-hydroxy-2-methyl-5-oxo-l, 2, 4-triazin-3-yl) thiomethyl]-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid derivatives (2a-2d) were synthesized. Antibacterial activities of these new cephalosporin derivatives and the relationship between their structures and their avtivities were examined. Among them, 7-[(3,4-dihydro-6-methoxycarbonyl-2, 2-dimethyl-2H-l, 4-thiazin-3-yl) -acetamido] -3- [ (2, 5-dihydro-6-hydroxy-2-methyl-5-oxo-l, 2,4-triazin-3-yl) thiomethyl] -3-cep-hem-4-carboxylic acid exhibited the broad antibacterial activities against Gram(+) and Gram (-) bacteria.

        여성농업인 노동의 경제적 가치평강 관한 연구 : 농업노동과 가사노동 Agricultural Work and Household Work

        The purposes of this study were to explore the rural women's labor by measuring labor value economically. To achieve the purpose, this study applied four methods : replacement cost method individual function, replacement cost method generalist, opportunity cost method and shadow wage method. The results of this study were as follows; 1) Time used for agricultural work and household work by rural women were 5.3 hours and 3.8 hours each. 2) According to the methods used, the amounts of valuing rural women's labor were varied and ranged from 23,000 won to 43,000 won per day. This study might help recognize the degree of rural women's labor contribution to the household income of farm households and improve the socio-economic status of rural women through showing the productivity of the rural women's labor.

        일부 지역 농촌 노인의 철분 영양상태에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to examine nutritional status of iron in 27 rural elderly subjects. The daily intake, urinary excretion and serum level of iron were determined by 24-hr food collection method, and 24-hr urine and serum collection for 3 days. The results were summarized as follows. 1. The mean age, height, weight, and blood pressure were 67.7 years, 163.2㎝, 55.9㎏, and 121.1/80.0㎜Hg in men and 69.9 years, 146.5㎝, 47.6㎏, and 108.9/71.1㎜Hg in women, respectively. 2. The daily intake of energy, protein, vitamin A, vitamin B₁, vitamin B₂, niacin, vitamin C, and iron were lower than Korean recommended dietary allowances. 3. The daily iron intake was 7.82㎎. The proportion of heme iron and nonheme iron to the total iron intake were 8.05% and 91.94%, respectively. Major iron sources of the rural elderly were cooked rice, Ko Chu Jang, beef blood, anchovy, soybean paste, and leafy radish. 4. The hemoglobin, hematocrit, serum iron, and total iron binding capacity were 14.3g/dl, 42.9%, 79.4 ㎍/dl, and 268.4 ㎍/dl in men and 12.9g/dl, 38.8%, 92.4 ㎍/dl, and 277.9 ㎍/dl in women, respectively. 5. There was a significant positive correlation between dietary intake and urinary excretion of iron.
