Integrative Modeling of Wireless RF Links for Train-to-Wayside Communication in Railway Tunnel

Pu, Shi,Hao, Jian-Hong Korea Society of Industrial Information Systems 2012 한국산업정보학회논문지 Vol.17 No.2

In railway tunnel environment, the reliability of a high-data-rate and real-time train-to-wayside communication should be maintained especially when high-speed train moves along the track. In China and Europe, the communication frequency around 900 MHz is widely used for railway applications. At this carrier frequency band, both of the solutions based on continuously laid leaky coaxial cable (LCX) and discretely installed base-station antennas (BSAs), are applied in tunnel radio coverage. Many available works have concentrated on the radio-wave propagation in tunnels by different kinds of prediction models. Most of them solve this problem as natural propagation in a relatively large hollow waveguide, by neglecting the transmitting/receiving (Tx/Rx) components. However, within such confined areas like railway tunnels especially loaded with train, the complex communication environment becomes an important factor that would affect the quality of the signal transmission. This paper will apply a full-wave numerical method to this case, for considering the BSA or LCX, train antennas and their interacted environments, such as the locomotive body, overhead line for power supply, locomotive pantograph, steel rails, ballastless track, tunnel walls, etc.. Involving finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method and uni-axial anisotropic perfectly matched layer (UPML) technique, the entire wireless RF downlinks of BSA and LCX to tunnel space to train antenna are precisely modeled (so-called integrative modeling technique, IMT). When exciting the BSA and LCX separately, the field distributions of some cross-sections in a rectangular tunnel are presented. It can be found that the influence of the locomotive body and other tunnel environments is very significant. The field coverage on the locomotive roof plane where the train antennas mounted, seems more homogenous when the side-laying position of the BSA or LCX is much higher. Also, much smoother field coverage solution is achieved by choosing LCX for its characteristic of more homogenous electromagnetic wave radiation.

Effect of Tensile Deformation of Austenite on the Morphology and Strength of Lath Martensite

        Zengmin Shi,Kai liu,Maoqiu Wang,Jie Shi,Han Dong,Jian Pu,Bo Chi,Yisheng Zhang,Li Jian 대한금속·재료학회 2012 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.18 No.2

A hot-rolled steel, 22SiMn2TiB, was employed to study the effect of austenite deformation on the micro-structure and strength of the subsequently formed lath martensite. It was revealed that the sizes of the mar-tensite packet, block and lath were refined by the tensile deformation of austenite at temperatures above 850 °C. With the increase of the deformation temperature, the packet size increased, whereas the block size decreased. The width of the lath was independent of the prior austenite grain size and the deformation temperature. The refinement of martensite blocks was considered to strengthen the ausformed martensite.

Screening of Recurrence Related MicroRNA in Ductal Carcinoma In Situ and Functional Study of MicroRNA-654-5p

        Shi Li,Tianjie Pu,Lin Xiao,Hongwei Gao,Li Li,Feng Ye,Yueping Liu,Hong Bu 한국유방암학회 2019 Journal of breast cancer Vol.22 No.1

Purpose: Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) contributes to 20%–30% of newly diagnosed cases of breast cancer in China. Although the breast cancer-specific mortality of DCIS is extremely low, a small proportion of DCIS patients still show relapse or metastasis, leading to poor prognosis. Little is known about the molecular mechanism for DCIS metastasis, partly due to the limited number of poor prognosis patients. This study analyzed the clinicopathological features and screened key microRNAs (miRNAs) contributing to local or distant recurrence. Methods: The clinicopathological features of DCIS were evaluated and survival analysis were performed to clarify risk factors associated with poor prognosis. Using miRNA arrays and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) on DCIS formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded samples with or without microinvasion with different clinical outcomes, potential DCIS metastasis-related miRNAs were screened out and further validated. The influence of one identified miRNA, miRNA-654-5p, on DCIS progression was analyzed. Results: Poor prognosis was significantly associated with larger tumor size and higher lymph node metastasis rate (both p < 0.05). Both were independent prognostic factors for DCIS. According to RT-qPCR results, distinct miRNA expression profiles were identified between DCIS and DCIS with microinvasion (DCIS-Mi) patients. In the DCIS panel, miRNA-654-5p was significantly upregulated in the patients with poor prognosis. In vitro, miRNA-654-5p promoted MDA-MB-231 cell mobility in healing tests and metastasis in the Transwell study. Conclusion: The panel of high-risk miRNAs in DCIS and DCIS-Mi differs markedly. miRNA-654-5p is significantly upregulated DCIS patients having poor prognosis and may be essential for local and distant recurrence in DCIS.

      • Chinese Patients with Gastric Cancer Need Targeted Adjuvant Chemotherapy Schemes

        Shi, Wen-Tao,Wei, Lei,Xiang, Jin,Su, Ke,Ding, Qiong,Tang, Meng-Jie,Li, Ji-Qiang,Guo, Yi,Wang, Pu,Zhang, Jing-Wei Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.10

Background: Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the most common cancers in China. Adjuvant chemotherapy (AC) is a routine auxiliary treatment for GC recommended by the guidelines issued in 2011 by the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China, but the relevant credible consequences in China have been insufficient because of China's late start and ethical concerns. Methods: A series of databases, including Cochrane Library, MEDLINE, EMBASE, the Chinese database of the National Knowledge Infrastructure and the VIP database, were searched by 2 reviewers independently for studies investigating AC for GC through March 2012. The retrieved literature was screened according to the eligibility criteria. Results: A total of 35 randomized control trials (RCTs) were subjected to the final analysis, including 4,043 patients in treatment group and 3,884 in the control group, as well as 4 clinical-control trials (CCTs), which accessed the final analysis with 238 and 252 patients, respectively. AC reduced the risk of death as a protective treatment with statistical significance (HR=0.91, 95%CI: [0.85, 0.97], P=0.002), and it seemed more effective for Asian than non-Asian patients. The effects of AC were not influenced by the starting time (P>0.05). D2 lymphadenectomy-based chemotherapy was effective (HR=0.89, 95%CI: [0.80, 0.99], P=0.04). Oral S-1 40 mg/m2 after D2 lymphadenectomy might be a better choice for Asians with advanced GC and might result in a greater reduction of adverse events than in non-Asian patients. GRADE quality assessment determined that the strength of the evidence from foreign studies from Europe, the United States and Asian countries other than China was high, while it was moderate for Chinese studies. Conclusion: AC was effective or even curative in Chinese patients in general, although it is still necessary to optimize a targeted AC scheme for Chinese patients with GC.

Reuse of Spent FCC Catalyst for Removing Trace Olefins from Aromatics

Pu, Xin,Luan, Jin-Ning,Shi, Li Korean Chemical Society 2012 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.33 No.8

Pretreatment of spent FCC catalyst and its application in remove trace olefins in aromatics were investigated in this research. The most effective pretreatment route of spent FCC catalyst was calcining at $700^{\circ}C$ for 1 h, washing with 5% oxalic acid solution in ultrasonic reactor and dried. Treated spent FCC catalyst was modified with metal halides, then to prepare catalyst to remove trace olefins in aromatics. X-ray diffraction, Pyridine-FTIR, $N_2$ adsorption-desorption and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer (ICP-OES) were used to investigate the pretreatment process. The result showed that the performance of the treated spent FCC catalyst was much greater than that of the spent FCC catalyst, which indicted the possibility and improvement of this research.

CARBON DEPOSIT INCINERATION DURING ENGINE FLAMEOUT USING NON-THERMAL PLASMA INJECTION

        Xiaoyu Pu,Yixi Cai,Yunxi Shi,Jing Wang,Linbo Gu,Jing Tian,Runlin Fan 한국자동차공학회 2018 International journal of automotive technology Vol.19 No.3

−In order to investigate the influence of initial regeneration temperatures on diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration, an experimental study of DPF regeneration was implemented using a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) reactor, aided by exhaust waste heat after engine flameout. DPF trapping characteristics and carbon deposit mass were discussed to facilitate further data analysis and calculation. DPF regeneration was then investigated by comparison analysis of deposit removal mass, backpressure drop, and internal temperature change. The results revealed that a large amount of particulate matter (PM) was deposited in DPF with a high filtration efficiency of about 90 %. The deposit removal rate and percentage drop of the backpressure both maximized at the initial temperature of 100 oC. During DPF regeneration, the sharp rise of internal temperature indicated vigorous PM incineration and high CO2 emission. The results successfully demonstrated DPF regeneration using non-thermal plasma injection during engine flameout, and prominent heat durability was achieved in this method.

The investigation of pH threshold value on the corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete

        Qi Pu,Yan Yao,Ling Wang,Xingxiang Shi,Jingjing Luo,Yifei Xie 사단법인 한국계산역학회 2017 Computers and Concrete, An International Journal Vol.19 No.3

The aim of this study is to investigate the pH threshold value for the corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete. A method was designed to attain the pH value of the pore solution on the location of the steel in concrete. Then the pH values of the pore solution on the location of steel in concrete were changed by exposing the samples to the environment (CO25%, RH 40%) to accelerate carbonation with different periods. Based on this, the pH threshold value for the corrosion of steel reinforcement had been examined by the methods of half-cell potential and electrochemical impedance spectra (EIS). The results have indicated that the pH threshold value for the initial corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete was 11.21. However, in the carbonated concrete, agreement among whether steel corrosion was initiatory determined by the detection methods mentioned above could be found.

Study of alkylation on a Lewis and Brønsted acid hybrid catalyst and its industrial test

Naiwang Liu,Xin Pu,Xin Wang Li Shi,Li Shi 한국공업화학회 2014 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.20 No.5

A novel catalyst ZnBr2 modified bentonite is prepared. Pyridine adsorbed FTIR spectra demonstrated the amount of Brønsted and Lewis acid was improved to 2 and 5 times, respectively. Thermal analysis indicated the thermal stability of ZnBr2-bentonite could reach 350 ℃. Mechanism research led to an interesting hypothesis that in the former stage, the active position is Brønsted acid sites and in the later stage, both Lewis acid and Brønsted acid sites act as active positions. Industrial test showed the ability of ZnBr2-bentonite to remove olefins is 17 times higher than that of bentonite, and the industrial application prospect is good.
