        In this study, new moment-resisting precast concrete beam-column joint is proposed for moderate seismic regions. It has the connection reinforcing bars, penetrated the joint and lap-spliced with the bottom bars of precast U-beam. An experimental study was carried out to investigate the joint behavior subjected to reverse cyclic loading and constant axial compressive load. Three precast beam-column interior were tested. The variables examined were the type of connection reinforcing bars and presence of transverse reinforcement in joint. Joint performance is evaluated on the basis of connection .strength, stiffness, energy dissipation, and drift capacity. Based on the test results, the precast connection is capable of matching or exceeding the performance of the monolithic connection and thereby provides the sufficient moment-resisting behavior to be applicable for moderate seismic regions.

      • 헬리컬관외 침전 및 적하 열전달 특성에 관한 연구

        An experimental study is carried out to investigate the cahracteristics of heat transfer of outside helical tubes. The main heat exchanger consists of twelve curved columns with each 300mm diameter and the total length of 1.2m copper tube having an outer diameter of 19.05mm with 1.5mm thickness. Water flows down the outside of helical tube, where flow patterns are the vertical film falling flow, immerged flow, and mixed-flow which is the combination of film falling flow and immerged flow. Refrigerant 11 flows the inside of the tub countercurrently. The experimental range of inside flow rate is 1.7∼3.2ℓ/min. The results are presented as Nusselt number with corresponding Reynolds number for variety of outside and inside flow rates. The heat transfer rates of the mixed flow are 8 to 56% higher than those of film falling flow or immerged flow only. Interpretation of the results is given on the basis of physical reasoning and the correlation equations.

        In this paper, Recognition of HANGUL Vowel using a neural network is studied. In general, Back-propagation is applied for the speech recognition, but has too much computational time for learning. The method using peak information of speech signal is used for the purpose of reduction of computational time. The speech spectrum of a vowel consists of the sixteen frame and a frame is divided by the sixteen hand and binary code 1,0 is used as input data corresponding to whether peaks exist or not, respectively, on each band in frequency spectrum. The experimental result show that the learning number is reduced remarkably and the recognition rate is improved according to increasing ratio of learning and unlearning data.

        The purpose of this paper is to study on the effect of the soundproof barrier against road traffic noise. The major results of this paper may be summarized as follows : (1) According to the effect of the soundproof barrier, within 35m on the effect of the soundproof barrier is high, but out side 35m is low. Because there is the difference of the height and length of the soundproof barriers. (2) Comparing the aluminum soundproof barrier with the concrete soundproof barrier, the effect of two materials of turned out similarly using Leg and ??. (3) The traffic soundproof barriers on the road will have to be established at the schools and the inhabitant regions which are above the average degree about circumstance.

      • 백금 담지 카본블랙 촉매 제조 및 활성조사

        Platinum catalysts supported on carbon were prepared by using various method. The particle size distribution of loaded platinum was examined using transmission electron microscope, and that was discussed relatively to the oxidation treatment of carbon black and loading method of platinum. In addition, the relationship between its particle size distribution and catalytic activities in the deep oxidation reaction of carbon monoxide and the reduction removal of dissolved oxygen by hydrazine. The number of functional groups on carbon black largely increased by the oxidation treatment with nitric acid compared to that with air or hydrogen peroxide. The large number of functional groups were effective for homogeneous loading of platium, dispersing highly homogeneous platinum particles of 2∼3 nm in a diameter by the methanol reduction method. On the other hand, a large amount of platinum could be loaded on carbon balck using an impregnation method, but the particle size distribution of platinum was poor in homogeneity. Platinum could be dispersed with extremely small particles using on ion exchange method, but the loading amount of platinum was very small. The activities of Pt/VX catalysts in the oxidation reaction of carbon monoxide and the redution of dissolved oxygen strongly varied with the number of platinum atoms exposed, regardless of the particle size, indicating that the highest catalytic activity was obtained on the Pt/VX catalyst prepared using the methanol reduction method due to the high dispersion and large loading of platinum.

        뇌경색후 발생한 Cortical Spreading Depression과 뇌경색 범위에 관한 실험적 연구

        Cortical Spreading Depression(CSD) is a transient depression of neuronal activity that spreads across the cortical surface and is associated with profound changes in blood flow, extracellular ion concentration. Direct Current(DC) potentials and cell membrane potentials. One of the electrophysiological disturbance in the periinfarct surrounding is spontaneous occurrence of repeated CSD like DC shifts associated with increased energy demand. Due to restricted blood flow to the periinfarct border zone, elevated metabolic demand is potentially harzardous. So the authors designed this experiment to verify the correlation between periinfarct cortical spreading depression and ischemic volume following permanent middle cerebral artery (MCA) occlusion in rats. Sprague-Dawley rats(n=27) were anesthetized with 0.5∼1% halothane, and artificially ventilated through a tracheal cannula. Arterial pressure, blood gases and body temperature were controlled. The middle cerebral artery(MCA) was occluded distally to the lenticulostriate branches. Measurements of CSD activity were made for 4 hours in each animal. Infarct volume was determined 6 hours later in 2, 3, 5-triphenyl tetrazolium chloride(TTC)-stained sections. For 4 hours after MCA occlusion, the CSDs were found in all experimental animals with a range of 2∼9 times. Those CSDs wer of varying duration, : "small"(<1 min) and "big"(> 1 min) SDs and mean of total duration of SD was 10.5±10.3 min during 4 hours of MCA occlusion. Neuropathological evaluation of brain infarct in the rats, which had been allowed to survive for 6 hours after MCA occlusion showed a mean volume of 89.7±45.3㎣. Serial observation of duration of CSD showed progressive prolongation only in 8 rats. The rest of them(n=19) did not show any prolongation. Neither the prolongation of duration of CSD nor the frequency of CSD in the penumbral zone correlated with the volume of infarct. However total duration of CSD was slightly related with the infarct volume after 6 hours of the permanent MCA occlusion(r=0.414, p=0.0318).

      • 靈芝버섯 栽培方法 改善에 關한 硏究

        靈芝載培에 있어서 一般的인 栽培法을 改善하여 靈芝의 收穫量을 높이고 品質向上을 시킬 目的으로 菌絲의 活着條件, 種菌接種 時期 및 方法, 버섯培養地의 土養種類 등을 달리하고, 栽培舍 構造設備을 改良하여 靈芝를 栽培한 結果는 다음과 같다. 種菌接種短木에 菌接種時期가 1月, 12月, 2月, 3月, 4月, 順으로 氣溫이 올라 갈수록 菌絲活着 期間이 빨라져 버섯培養할 때 까지의 菌絲培養 期間을 10日 以上 短縮할 수 있었다. 菌絲培養床의 크기 中 菌絲培養床 幅을 各各 0.8m,1.2m로 하였을 때 같은 菌絲培養期間 동안의 菌絲活着率은 89.6%, 96.4%, 91.2%가 되어 菌絲培養床 幅이 1.0m에서 菌絲活着率이 가장 높았다. 接種短木에 種菌을 接種 後 密封方法은 스치로폴을 막은 後 파라핀으로 密封한 것이 菌絲培養條件에 關係없이 푸른곰팡이 發生率이 가장 낮았고, 스치로폴만 막은것도 新聞紙를 材料로 菌絲培養 條件을 改善하여 푸른곰팡이의 發生率을 파라핀으로 完全히 密封 것과 거의 같은 水準으로 抑制 시킬 수 있었다. 二重 비닐하우스 栽培舍內의 內部 하우스에 遮光幕을 設置함으로서 一般 裁培舍 하우스의 6個月 水準의 靈芝生育 適溫期間을 8個月 以上 까지 延長할 수 있었고, 收穫回數를 年 2回에서 4回로 늘릴 수 있었다. 內部 하우스에 遮光幕을 設置하여 改善한 栽培舍에서는 버섯培養 後 2年次에 目標水準 收穫量의 96.9% 까지 收穫할 수 있었는데 一般 栽培舍에서는 目標 收量의 89.1%만 收穫할 수 있었다. 收穫量에서도 改良 栽培舍의 上品靈芝收量이 一般 載培舍에 比하여 1.5倍의 增收를 보였다. 粘土含量이 가장 많고 모래 含量이 적은 E 土壤에서 雜菌發生이 가장 甚하여 靈芝의 收穫量 및 品質이 가장 低調하였다. To increase the yield and to obtain much better the quality on grown Ganoderma lucidum cultured, these experiments were conducted under carefully controlled in greenhouse with the following conditions on spawn spread related with tentative planting time of short timber inoculated, sealing methods with styrofoam only used and with sealing wax after styrofoam used, soil textures of planting sites, temperatures and growing time as the outside shield was commonly culture method and the inside shield was one of the methods improved itself in these experiments with double vivyl greenhouse. The results were as follow: Speeds of spawn spreading on inoculating Ganoderma lucidum to the short timber were faster when the temperatures were increasing as Jan.<Dec.<Feb.<Mar.<Apr., and it could be short more than 10 days for tentative planting time with inoculation. During the same time of tentative planting the rate of spawn was the highest at the width of 1.0m when the widths of tentative planting hotbets were 0.8, 1.0, and 1.2m, and the rates were 89.6, 96.4, 91.2%, respectively. Occurrences of green mold on inoculated timbers were the lowest as the sealing wax after styrofoam used without the conditions of tentative planting, and when there were surrounding the pile of timbers with styrofoam only used to seal inoculating holes with the second hand newspapers, those were almost the same level as the sealing wax after styrofoam used. When the shield over the roof of the inside greenhouse in the double greenhouse was set, the time on growing could be prolonged until more than 8 months and the yield could be increased 2 times more from 2 to 4 times as compared with the outside shielding over the vinyl that was the common culture method to be known. The culture with inside shielding could improve to be possible that the 96.9% of objective yield was done during two years only and that the amount of the best qualities was 1.5 times than in the common culture, the outside shielding, there was 89.1% of yield only at the same time. In sandy caly that was the least sand and was the most clay of the soils experimented there was the least of yield, there were the plenty of various germs occurred and there was not good in the quality.
