For a long time, poverty reduction has been the focus of academic circles—scholars at home and abroad explain and explore the development law and spatial evolution of poverty from economics, ethnology, geography and other disciplines, and study poverty reduction practice, experience, population, and economic development. However, there are few research results from the perspective of defining the cross-border ethnic groups in Yunnan, Guangxi and Southeast Asia and consolidating poverty alleviation results. Yunnan-Guangxi border areas overcome various unfavorable conditions including natural environment, develop steadily, and get rid of poverty by the end of 2020. Although great progress has been made in the areas of politics, economy, society and people’s livelihood in the border areas of Yunnan and Guangxi, there are still complex domestic and international factors affecting the consolidation of poverty alleviation achievements in this area. In the future, it is necessary to strengthen the dynamic monitoring and mechanism construction of poverty alleviation, enhance the economic “hematopoietic function” of border areas, strengthen domestic and foreign cooperation and create a good border environment, so as to consolidate the hard-won poverty alleviation achievements and realize rural revitalization.

<P>Emerging evidence supports a fundamental role for microRNAs (miRNA) in regulating cancer metastasis. Recently, <I>microRNA-375</I> (<I>miR-375</I>) was reported to be downregulated in many types of cancers, including gastric cancer. Increase in the expression of Recepteur d’Origine Nantais (RON), a receptor tyrosine kinase, has been reported in tumors. However, the function of <I>miR-375</I> and RON expression in gastric cancer metastasis has not been sufficiently studied. In silico analysis identified <I>miR-375</I> binding sites in the 3′-untranslated regions (3′-UTR) of the RON-encoding gene. Expression of <I>miR-375</I> resulted in reduced activity of a luciferase reporter containing the 3′-UTR fragments of RON-encoding mRNA, confirming that <I>miR-375</I> directly targets the 3′-UTR of RON mRNA. Moreover, we found that overexpression of <I>miR-375</I> inhibited mRNA and protein expression of RON, which was accompanied by the suppression of cell proliferation, migration, and invasion in gastric cancer AGS and MKN-28 cells. Ectopic <I>miR-375</I> expression also induced G1 cell cycle arrest through a decrease in the expression of cyclin D1, cyclin D3, and in the phosphorylation of retinoblastoma (Rb). Knockdown of RON by RNAi, similar to <I>miR-375</I> overexpression, suppressed tumorigenic properties and induced G1 arrest through a decrease in the expression of cyclin D1, cyclin D3, and in the phosphorylation of Rb. Thus, our study provides evidence that <I>miR-375</I> acts as a suppressor of metastasis in gastric cancer by targeting RON, and might represent a new potential therapeutic target for gastric cancer.</P>
Toward Efficient Convertible Authenticated Encryption Schemes Using Self-Certified Public Key System

Convertible authenticated encryption (CAE) schemes enable the signer to send a confidential message and its corresponding signature to the designated recipient. The recipient can also convert the signature into a conventional one which can be verified by anyone. Integrating the properties of self-certified public key systems, this paper presents efficient and computationally indistinguishable self-certified CAE schemes for strengthening the security of E-Commerce applications. Additionally, we also adapt the proposed schemes to elliptic curve systems for facilitating the applications of limited computing power and insufficient storage space. The proposed schemes are secure against known existential active attacks, satisfy the semantic security requirement, and have the following advantages: (i) No extra certificate is required since the tasks of authenticating the public key and verifying the signature can be simultaneously carried out within one step, which helps reducing computation efforts and communication overheads. (ii) In case of a later dispute, the recipient can convert the signature into an ordinary one for the public arbitration. (iii) The signature conversion can be solely performed by the recipient without additional computation efforts or communication overheads. (iv) The recipient of the signature can prove himself, if needed, to anyone that he is actually the designated recipient.

The control input item is added to constitute the nonlinear dynamic model, on the basis of the original multi-dimensional Taylor network in this paper. And this nonlinear dynamic model is used to optimally control MISO nonlinear system only by output feedback without the disturbance estimation of the system or needing the state observer. The back-propagation algorithm is used to train the parameters of the multi-dimensional network with the control input item. Through the simulation, it is demonstrated the multi-dimensional Taylor network used as the optimal MISO nonlinear system tracking controller is effective.

In order to study the damage mechanism of surrounding rocks under water-rock coupling, an experimental study on the microscopic law of water absorption and mechanics of sandy mudstone was carried out in the sandy mudstone stratum of Wanfu coal mine in Shandong, China. The results indicate that the strength of sandy mudstone exhibits three stages of relative softening, rapid softening, and decelerated softening. The speed of water molecules entering the microscopic pore structure was analyzed based on the percentage of water molecules in the pore structure. The acoustic emission energy release process is divided into energy accumulation stage, stable release stage and intense release stage. With the increase of water content saturation, (Spectral width of the multifractal spectrum) tends to decrease and the distribution of events is gradually uniform. The action of water gradually expands and penetrates the cracks and pores inside the sandy mudstone, which makes f (Frequency of occurrence of the signal) change from negative to positive values.

Ras oncoproteins are small molecular weight GTPases known for their involvement in oncogenesis, which operate in a complex signaling network with multiple effectors. Approximately 25% of human tumors possess mutations in a member of this family. The Raf1/MEK/Erk1/2 pathway is one of the most intensively studied signaling mechanisms. Different levels of regulation account for the inactivation of MAP kinases by MAPK phosphatases in a cell type- and stimuli-dependent manner. In the present study, using three inducible Ras-expressing NIH/3T3 cell lines, we demonstrated that MKP3 upregulation requires the activation of the Erk1/2 pathway, which correlates with the shutdown of this pathway. We also demonstrated, by applying pharmacological inhibitors and effector mutants of Ras, that induction of MKP3 at the protein level is positively regulated by the oncogenic Ras/Raf/MEK/Erk1/2 signaling pathway. Assessment of wind-induced fragility of transmission towers under quasi-static wind load

Overhead power transmission line systems consisting of long-span conductors and high-rise towers are windsensitive structures featured with significant structural nonlinearity and fragility under wind hazards. To assess wind-induced structural fragility of a transmission tower, a novel efficient quasi-static approach, which is based on the analytical probability distribution of extreme wind effect in frequency domain and the probabilistic wind-resistant capacity, is developed in the present study. The 90-degree wind direction (perpendicular to conductors), which is always the worst scenario, is considered in this paper. The structural nonlinearity and failure modes are captured using a nonlinear static push-over analysis method, which simulates the failure process of the tower structure with random initial geometric defects. Wind-resistance performance of the tower is quantified based on the principle of energy equivalence. Damage of the tower is classified into three levels including slight damage, severe damage, and collapse. The tower fragility curve, which predicts damage of the tower as a function of wind speed, is presented and discussed.

The FUT2 gene was considered as an important candidate for pathogenic infections, while the potential associations between this gene and the production and reproductive traits of pigs have not been explored. In this study, we detected the genetic variants of porcine FUT2 gene and analyzed the associations of the polymorphisms with FUT2 mRNA expression and production and reproductive traits (age at 100 kg, backfat thickness at 100 kg, eye muscle thickness, the number of newborn piglets, the number of weaned piglets, and birth weight) in 100 Large White sows. One single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) (rs345476947, C→T) in the intron of FUT2 and three genotypes (TT, CT and CC) were determined. Association analysis revealed significant associations between this SNP with the number of newborn piglets and weaned piglets. Furthermore, individuals with the TT genotype had significantly higher numbers of newborn piglets and weaned piglets than those with the CC genotype (P < 0.05). Quantitative PCR analysis showed that FUT2 expression in individuals with CC genotype was significantly higher than those with TT and CT genotypes in the liver and lymph gland (P < 0.05) and higher than that of CT in the spleen, kidney, and duodenum (P < 0.05). These findings indicated that the TT genotype may be a favorable genotype for the reproductive traits of pigs. Our study revealed the genetic variants of the FUT2 gene and identified a promising candidate SNP (rs345476947) associated with the reproductive traits, which has the potential to be applied in selective breeding of pigs.
