Characteristics analysis of aero-engine whole vibration response with rolling bearing radial clearance

Haifei Wang,Junjie Gong,Guo Chen 대한기계학회 2017 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.31 No.5

For the influence of rolling bearing radial clearance on the whole vibration in the aero-engine whole system, a real engine rotorbearing-casing whole model is established. The rotor and casing systems are modeled by means of FEM; the support systems are modeled by lumped-mass model; rolling bearing radial clearance and strong-nonlinearity of Hertz contact force at four different supports are considered. The coupled system response is obtained by the numerical integral method. The characteristics of the whole vibration response are analyzed. For rolling bearing at a typical support, the rotor, outer ring of rolling bearing and casing response characteristics at different rotating speeds are analyzed. The changing law of contact forces for each ball and the global contact forces at different speeds are analyzed. The influence of the radical clearance on the contact forces on the whole vibration is analyzed. The results show that the contact forces will be larger and the acceleration amplitude jumps obviously when the radial clearance is increased, and due to the variable stiffness of the rolling bearing, the natural frequency will appear when the stiffness changes fiercely, that is frequency-locked phenomenon. When the radical clearance is larger and the rotating speed is between two critical speeds, the rotor squeezes the outer ring now and then. Reducing the radical clearance can reduce the whole vibration and increase the rotor’s stability.

Association analysis of the SNP (rs345476947) in the FUT2 gene with the production and reproductive traits in pigs

        Haifei Wang,Sen Wu,Jiayun Wu,Shouyong Sun,Shenglong Wu,Wen Bin Bao 한국유전학회 2018 Genes & Genomics Vol.40 No.2

The FUT2 gene was considered as an important candidate for pathogenic infections, while the potential associations between this gene and the production and reproductive traits of pigs have not been explored. In this study, we detected the genetic variants of porcine FUT2 gene and analyzed the associations of the polymorphisms with FUT2 mRNA expression and production and reproductive traits (age at 100 kg, backfat thickness at 100 kg, eye muscle thickness, the number of newborn piglets, the number of weaned piglets, and birth weight) in 100 Large White sows. One single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) (rs345476947, C→T) in the intron of FUT2 and three genotypes (TT, CT and CC) were determined. Association analysis revealed significant associations between this SNP with the number of newborn piglets and weaned piglets. Furthermore, individuals with the TT genotype had significantly higher numbers of newborn piglets and weaned piglets than those with the CC genotype (P < 0.05). Quantitative PCR analysis showed that FUT2 expression in individuals with CC genotype was significantly higher than those with TT and CT genotypes in the liver and lymph gland (P < 0.05) and higher than that of CT in the spleen, kidney, and duodenum (P < 0.05). These findings indicated that the TT genotype may be a favorable genotype for the reproductive traits of pigs. Our study revealed the genetic variants of the FUT2 gene and identified a promising candidate SNP (rs345476947) associated with the reproductive traits, which has the potential to be applied in selective breeding of pigs.

Characteristics analysis of rotor-rolling bearing coupled system with fit looseness fault and its verification

        Wang Haifei,Guan Xiaoying,Chen Guo,Gong Junjie,Yu Liang,Yuan Shijie,Zhu Zhida 대한기계학회 2019 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.33 No.1

Outer ring of bearing fit looseness fault is a common fault. Scratch often appears in the inner surface of pedestal. The fit looseness fault mechanism is not clear. For rotor-rolling bearing system with fit looseness fault between rotor-bearing outer ring and pedestal, a rotor coupling dynamic model that the interaction of bearing outer ring and pedestal are considered. This model is different from the universal rubbing model, where the directions of relative motion between rotor and stator are not considered. Numerical integration method is used to obtain the response of the system where the rotor is established by FEM and the bearing outer ring and pedestal are established by lumped mass model. Firstly, modal test results and simulation results were used to verify the correctness of this model. Secondly, the role of tightening torque between bearing outer ring and pedestal is considered, and the response characteristics of bearing and rotor are analyzed when fit looseness fault is considered. Finally, comparing the simulation results with test results, the waveform and spectrum are similar, which verifies the correctness of the fit looseness model. The fit looseness fault characteristics are that the acceleration after noise reduction shows periodic impact, up and down asymmetry, multiple frequencies appear. A method by increasing tightening torque is put forward to control the vibration caused by fit looseness fault.

Design and Optimization for the Windowless Target of the China Nuclear Waste Transmutation Reactor

        Cheng, Desheng,Wang, Weihua,Yang, Shijun,Deng, Haifei,Wang, Rongfei,Wang, Binjun Korean Nuclear Society 2016 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.48 No.2

A windowless spallation target can provide a neutron source and maintain neutron chain reaction for a subcritical reactor, and is a key component of China's nuclear waste transmutation of coupling accelerator and subcritical reactor. The main issue of the windowless target design is to form a stable and controllable free surface that can ensure that energy spectrum distribution is acquired for the neutron physical design when the high energy proton beam beats the lead-bismuth eutectic in the spallation target area. In this study, morphology and flow characteristics of the free surface of the windowless target were analyzed through the volume of fluid model using computational fluid dynamics simulation, and the results show that the outlet cross section size of the target is the key to form a stable and controllable free surface, as well as the outlet with an arc transition. The optimization parameter of the target design, in which the radius of outlet cross section is $60{\pm}1mm$, is verified to form a stable and controllable free surface and to reduce the formation of air bubbles. This work can function as a reference for carrying out engineering design of windowless target and for verification experiments.

Association of the Porcine Cluster of Differentiation 4 Gene with T Lymphocyte Subpopulations and Its Expression in Immune Tissues

        Xu, Jingen,Liu, Yang,Fu, Weixuan,Wang, Jiying,Wang, Wenwen,Wang, Haifei,Liu, Jianfeng,Ding, Xiangdong,Zhang, Qin Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2013 Animal Bioscience Vol.26 No.4

Cluster of differentiation 4 (CD4) is mainly expressed on $CD4^+$ T cells, which plays an important role in immune response. The aim of this study was to detect the association between polymorphisms of the CD4 gene and T lymphocyte subpopulations in pigs, and to investigate the effects of genetic variation on the CD4 gene expression level in immune tissues. Five missense mutations in the CD4 gene were identified using DNA pooling sequencing assays, and two main haplotypes (CCTCC and AGCTG) in strong linkage disequilibrium (with frequencies of 50.26% and 46.34%, respectively) were detected in the population of Large White pigs. Our results indicated that the five SNPs and the two haplotypes were significantly associated with the proportions of $CD4^-CD8^-$, $CD4^+CD8^+$, $CD4^+CD8^-$, $CD4^+$ and $CD4^+/CD8^+$ in peripheral blood (p<0.05). Gene expression analysis showed the mRNA level of the CD4 gene in thymus was significantly higher than that in lymph node and spleen (p<0.05). However, no significant difference was observed between animals with CCTCC/CCTCC genotype and animals with AGCTG/AGCTG genotype in the three immune tissues (p>0.05). These results indicate that the CD4 gene may influence T lymphocyte subpopulations and can be considered as a candidate gene affecting immunity in pigs.
