The purposes of this study were to investigate the influence of local residents' nature environment attitudes for National Park development impact perceptions and to examine application possibility of nature environment attitude for resolution information of National Park management conflicts. Thirty items of residents' perceptions and opinions were designed from previous tourism impact studies. The new environmental paradigm(NEP) was used to measure local residents' nature environment attitudes. In April, 2003. 239 questionnaires were obtained from interview survey in local residents' villages near Gyearyongsan National Park. Generally, most of the local residents perceived low economic effects and negative environment impacts for National Park development. Nature environment attitudes levels were significant differences with socioeconomic variables of local residents, specially high in age, education level and influenced their perceptions toward National Park development impacts. The results were suggested that the nature environment attitudes could be provided a useful reverential framework in resolution of National Park management conflicts.

Background : The authors attempted to introduce group program for improving interpersonal relationship and evaluate the effects of that program. Material and Methods : This program had been held twice a week for 8 weeks for children and parents training had been for times on the treatment and continued from 2001 to 2002. Twenty-five ADHD children in school age were selected as subjects from child psychiatric clinic of a general hospital in Seoul. Treatment outcomes were evaluated by comparing at pre- and post- treatment using the various rating scale. Result : According to the results of statistical analysis, paired t-test, the score of total self-concept including popularity was increased and family environment and parenting stress were improved significantly. These results suggest that this program is useful for its orginal goal. The parents evaluated also that children's total problem behaviors were decreased. Conclusion : These results suggest that the designed and performed group program in this study would be effective in facilitating ADHD children's emotional and interpersonal growth, and decreasing their parents stress. Finally they would have healthy interpersonal reationship.

The purpose of this study were to understand the resident's attitudes toward Ulleung Island and to identify the residents' perception of recreation and the influence of socioeconomic characteristics on their response. In summer of 1999, 222 questioners were obtained from a convenience sample of households within Ulleung Island. The residents perceived both positive and negative environ-recreation and economic impacts, most of the residents supported additional recreation development and disagreed to limit the number of visitors. Their perception of recreation impacts were varied with age, education level, economic dependency on recreation place of residence, and length of residence.

In this paper, we introduce the performance test results of digital data processing system for KVN (Korean VLBI Network). The digital data processing system for KVN consists of DAS (Data Acquisition System) and high-speed recorder which called Mark5B system. DAS system performs the digitalization of analog radio signal through ADS-1000 gigabit sampler with 1 Gsps/2-bit and process the digital filtering of digital signal. Mark5B system records the output data of DFB (Digital Filter Bank) with about 1 Gbps. In this paper, we carried out the preliminary evaluation experiments of the KVN digital data processing system connected between DAS system and Mark5B with VSI (VLBI Standard Interface) interface which is designed for compatible in each VLBI system. We first performed all of the KVN digital data processing system connected by VSI interface in the world. In factory inspection phase, we found that the DAS system has a memory read/write error in DSM (Digital Spectrometer) by analyzing the recorded data in Mark5B system. We confirmed that the DSM memory error has been correctly solved by comparing DSM results with Mark5B results. The effectiveness of KVN digital data processing system has been verified through the preliminary experiments such as data transmission, recording with VSI interface connection and data analysis between DSM and Mark5B system. In future work, we will perform the real astronomical observation by using the KVN 21m radio telescopes so as to verify its stability and performance.
