        동씨침(董氏鍼)의 경항통(頸項痛) 치료(治療)에 관한 임상적(臨床的) 고찰(考察)

        Objective : The purpose of this study was to evidence the effect of Dong-Shi Acupuncture by improving degree of forty four patients who have received a Dong-Shi Acupuncture therapy at Dong Eui oriental hospital OPD and chiefly complained for neck pain and related symptoms. Materials and Methods: Forty four patients were diagnosed with physical inspection and radiography, and investigated into the effect of treatment sharing before treatment and after 2 weeks and 4 weeks treatment by Dr. Kim's method. Results and Conclusions: The conclusion of this study was that improving degree of forty four patients who have received a Dong-Shi acupuncture therapy for all items and excellence of the Dong-Shi Acupuncture was evidenced.

      • A Framework Based on SyncML for u-GIS Synchronization

        Owing to rapid advancements of the mobile computing technologies and the performance of mobile device recently, the data synchronization techniques between severs and mobile clients are getting more and more important. OMA also proposes and recommends standard synchronization methods to use SyncML. However, the feasible data in the method are limited to normal document data, scheduler data, etc. This paper a standard framework based on SyncML. We call it SCGFG. The SCGFG is able to synchronize not only the above data but also GIS data which is very useful in mobile applications. It applies GML, international GIS standard, to the synchronization. By means of using XML, it is also able to resolve the serious problem that is the increase of data volume occurred by SyncML and GML efficiently. It is highly expected to be useful in the smart synchronization of GIS data among several servers and mobile clients.

        Crystal structure of human cytosolic aspartyl-tRNA synthetase, a component of multi-tRNA synthetase complex

        <P>Human cytosolic aspartyl-tRNA synthetase (DRS) catalyzes the attachment of the amino acid aspartic acid to its cognate tRNA and it is a component of the multi-tRNA synthetase complex (MSC) which has been known to be involved in unexpected signaling pathways. Here, we report the crystal structure of DRS at a resolution of 2.25 Å. DRS is a homodimer with a dimer interface of 3750.5 Å<SUP>2</SUP> which comprises 16.6% of the monomeric surface area. Our structure reveals the C-terminal end of the N-helix which is considered as a unique addition in DRS, and its conformation further supports the switching model of the N-helix for the transfer of tRNA<SUP>Asp</SUP> to elongation factor 1α. From our analyses of the crystal structure and post-translational modification of DRS, we suggest that the phosphorylation of Ser146 provokes the separation of DRS from the MSC and provides the binding site for an interaction partner with unforeseen functions.</P>

        Development of a Monitoring System for Multichannel Cables Using TDR

        <P>The purpose of this paper is to improve the management of cables that need much time and work in the measurement environment that has many multichannel cables. Therefore, a monitoring system that inspects faults and connection states of multichannel cables is suggested and designed. The system is based on time-domain reflectometry (TDR) and has two features that distinguish it from the precedent researches. One of them is a hardware interface for the multipair cable, which is a channel distributor designed using a switch. The other is the TDR-signal analysis algorithm based on the database. In other words, the system can check a number of signal wires included in a multichannel cable automatically with one step. In addition, it is able to show results of the signal analysis immediately. The performance of such a system is verified through tests. As a result, it is shown that the monitoring system is fast and reliable and it provides a reasonable analysis result on the TDR signal.</P>

        A feasibility study of using a 3D-printed tumor model scintillator to verify the energy absorbed to a tumor

        The authors developed a volumetric dosimetry detector system using in-house 3D-printable plastic scintillator resins. Three tumor model scintillators (TMSs) were developed using magnetic resonance images of a tumor. The detector system consisted of a TMS, an optical fiber, a photomultiplier tube, and an electrometer. The background signal, including the Cherenkov lights generated in the optical fiber, was subtracted from the output signal. The system showed 2.1% instability when the TMS was reassembled. The system efficiencies in collecting lights for a given absorbed energy were determined by calibration at a secondary standard dosimetry laboratory (k<sub>SSDL</sub>) or by calibration using Monte Carlo simulations (k<sub>sim</sub>). The TMSs were irradiated in a Gamma Knife® Icon<sup>TM</sup> (Elekta AB, Stockholm, Sweden) following a treatment plan. The energies absorbed to the TMSs were measured and compared with a calculated value. While the measured energy determined with k<sub>SSDL</sub> was (5.84 ± 3.56) % lower than the calculated value, the energy with k<sub>sim</sub> was (2.00 ± 0.76) % higher. Although the TMS detector system worked reasonably well in measuring the absorbed energy to a tumor, further improvements in the calibration procedure and system stability are needed for the system to be accepted as a quality assurance tool.

        STUDY ON MANUAL IMPROVEMENT FOR COOPERATIVE INVESTIGATION OF INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL OFFENSE

        세계국가들이 다문화체제로 전환되면서 개방화, 국제화가 급속히 추진되고 4차 산업화의 물결에 따라 인공지능로봇, 첨단 드론장치의 개발 등과 같은 혁신 정보통신 기술이 경제사회 전반에 융합되어 과학 공상이 현실로 다가오며 변혁의 바람을 가져오고 있다. 이에따라 첨단 범죄들이 지능화, 기동화 되고 있으며 국제적 인적 교류협력으로 인터폴공조수사 정보교류 역시 큰 변화를 주고 있다. 각종 신기술을 접목시킨 국제범죄가 국경을 넘나들며 기승을 부 리고 확산되면서 다문화 배경으로 해외로 도피하는 범죄자들도 날로 급상승하고 있다. 이러 한 현실 속에서 인터폴이 국제성 범죄를 저지르고 해외로 도피한 범법자들을 신속하게 검거 송환하기 위해서는 무엇보다 전 세계 인터폴 회원국과 연계를 통한 인터폴 국제공조수사가 큰 역할을 해야한다. 각종 국제범죄를 수사하고 해외로 잠적한 범법자를 송환 수사하는 일은 외교적 기술이 요구되고있다. 이를 위해서는 국가 간에 요구되는 각종 법률적, 제도적, 문화 적 이해를 합류한 업무의 매뉴얼 제도개선이 시급하고 관련 국가의 경찰 및 사법기관과 상 호 협력 새로운 패러다임의 매뉴얼 정립이 요구되는 현실이다. 국제화시대 인터폴 국제공조 수사 업무 매뉴얼을 보안수정 하기 위해 국제학술 인터폴대회 등 다방면의 교류협력을 지속 적으로 추진하고 있지만, 실효성없는 친교행사로 그쳐서는 안 된다. 경찰청 통계에 따르면 필리핀 내 한국인 피살사건 피의자를 검거하는 등 해외에서 우리국민을 대상으로 발생한 각 종 범죄를 다수 해결하였고, ’17년 국외도피사범을 297명이나 국내로 송환하는 등 소기의 성 과를 거두고 있다. 이러한 성과는 한국경찰 인터폴 수사 매뉴얼에 따른 인터폴 경찰관의 실 질적인 국제공조수사 각종 국제범죄 해결과 국외도피사범의 송환이 수행되고 있기 때문이다. 국제범죄를 효율적으로 예방하고 진압하기 위해서는 국내는 물론이고 형사사법 분야에서의 국제적 공조 매뉴얼이 상호보완적으로 재정립되어야한다. 이에 본 연구는 국제적 수사공조 의 현황과 현행 국내 매뉴얼을 조명해보고 국제적 매뉴얼이 상호 보완 정립되고 향상되기를 기대한다. With the switch to multi-cultural systems in international society and the wave of the fourth industrialization, there have been such revolutions as the accelerated opening and globalizing of nations and the convergence of innovative information and communication technologies like development of AI robots and cutting-edge drones into economic fields so that the scientific fiction may be materialized. Accordingly, high-tech crimes have been intellectualized and mechanized to bring about a big change in intelligence exchange for Interpol Joint Investigation by more international exchange and cooperation of human resources. Rampant and expanding international crimes equipped with various new technologies across borders have caused a sharp increase of criminals escaping to multi-cultured foreign countries. In this situation, it is indispensable for Interpol international joint investigation to play a key role through the cooperation among Interpol member states for prompt arrest and repatriation of international criminals who have escaped overseas. Diplomatic techniques are required for repatriation and investigation of international crimes hiding out overseas, for which are needed an urgent improvement of manual system with shared appreciation of diverse laws, structures and cultures of different nations and an establishment of efficient new paradigm manual for collaboration among polices and judicial authorities of concerned nations. There have been continuous exchange and cooperation in many fields among them such as international seminars hosted by Interpol for supplementation and updating of the manual for Interpol International Cooperative Investigation, which have been invalid. The statistics of Korean National Police Agency shows the achievement of expected results that several overseas crimes against Koreans have been solved, including the arrest of suspected murderers of Koreans in the Philippines and the repatriation of 297 criminals on the run overseas in the year of 2016. This outcome is thanks to the practical international joint investigation and repatriation of criminals on the run in foreign countries based on Interpol Investigation Manual adopted by KNP. For an effective prevention and suppression of international crimes, the cooperation manual in criminal field should be reestablished through supplementation and updating not only domestically but also internationally. This study has looked into the current conditions of international joint investigation and the existing Korean manual for international cooperative investigation to realize a improved international manual through supplementation and reestablishment.

        Effects of Edible Films Containing Procyanidin on the Preservation of Pork Meat during Chilled Storage

        Procyanidins, which are natural antioxidants and antimicrobials found in grapes, enhance the quality and extend the shelf life of meat. We explored the effects of edible films incorporating procyanidins on pork loin stored for various times. Procyanidins (0, 0.1, and 0.3%, w/w) were incorporated into the edible films. We assessed meat color, pH, levels of volatile basic nitrogen (VBN) and 2-thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances (TBARS), and microbial populations for 14 d. The chromaticities and pH values of pork loin wrapped in film containing procyanidins (0.1% and 0.3%) generally increased (p<0.05) with storage time. VBN and TBARS levels, and total bacterial and Escherichia coli (E. coli) counts, significantly decreased (p<0.05) in the procyanidin groups. In particular, procyanidins strongly inhibited TBARS formation. Thus, our findings suggest that edible film impregnated with procyanidins inhibits lipid oxidation and microbial growth, thereby enhancing the quality and shelf life of pork meat.
