        제2형 당뇨병 남성 환자에서 유리 테스토스테론과 성호르몬 결합 글로블린 농도

        연구배경:인슐린저항성은 제2형 당뇨병과 심혈관질환의 주요한 위험 인자로 성호르몬과 상호 관계가 있다고 알려져 있다. 그러나 여성과는 달리 남성에서는 연령과 인슐린저항성에 따른 유리 테스토스테론과 성호르몬 결합 글로블린 농도의 변화에 대한 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 그러므로, 본 저자등은 제2형 당뇨병 남성 환자에서 정산인과 비교해서 유리 테스토스테론과 성호르몬 결합 글로블린 농도를 측정하고 연령에 따른 변화 정도를 알아보고자 하였다. 방법:대상 환자 모두에서 연령과 체질량지수, 총 콜레스테롤, 중성지방, 공복혈당과 인슐린 농도를 측정하였다. 혈중 유리 테스토스테론 농도는 방사면역측정법(radioimmunoassay)을 이용해서 측정하였고, 혈중 성호르몬 결합글로불린은 면역방사계측측정법(immunoradiometric assay)을 이용해서 측정하였다(Diagnostic System Laoratories, Wbster, TX, USA). 결과:1)제2형 당뇨병 남성 환자에서 정상 대조군 남성에 비해 성호르몬 결합글로불린은 104.1±35.0 vs 25.7±3.5 mole×10??로 의미 있게 높았으나(p<0.001), 유리 테스토스테론은 13.7±9.5 vs 13.6±6.5 ng/dL로 차이가 없었다. 2)연령과 성호르몬 결합 글로블린 사이의 상관 계수는 제2형 당뇨병 남성 환자에서 0.40로 중등고의 양의 상관 관계를 보였고(p<0.001), 정상 대조군 남성에서 0.11로 유의한 상관 관계를 보이지 않았다. 연령과 유리 테스토스테론 사이의 상관 계수는 제2형 당뇨병 남성 환자에서 0.08, 정상 대조군 남성에서-0.17로 모두에서 유의한 상관 관계를 보이지 않았다. 3)연령과 체질량지수를 보정한 후에 제2형 당뇨병 남성 환자와 정상 대조군 남성에서 혈중 인슐린 농도, 유리 테스토스테론과 성호르몬 결합 글로블린 사이에는 상관 관계가 없었다. 결론:제2형 당뇨병 남성 환자에서 정상 남성에 비해 성호르몬 결합 글로블린 농도가 증가되어 있었으며, 유리 테스토스테론은 차이가 없었다. 연령이 증가함에 따라 성호르몬 결합 글로블린이 제2형 당뇨병 남성 환자에서 정상 남성에 비해 증가 폭이 의미있게 컸으며, 유리 테스토스테론은 변화가 없었다. Background: Insulin resistance is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus. There are many previous studies indicating that insulin lowers serum sex hormone-binding globulin levels, and there is inverse correlation between insulin resistance and serum sex hormone-binding globulin levels in women. However, in men, a limited number of studies are available to explain the effect of sex hormone on age and insulin. Therefore, the present study was undertaken to investigate the relationship among free testosterone, hormone-binding globulin and age in type 2 diabetic men and control subjects. Method: Age, body mass index, total cholesterol, triglyceride, fasting blood sugar, and insulin concentrations were examined on 89 type 2 diabetic men and 47 control subjects. The free testosterone level was measured by commercially available double-antibody system (Radioimmunoassay). The sex hormone-binding globulin level was also measured by commercially available double-antibody system(Immunoradiometric assay). Results: 1) Sex hormone-binding globulin level was significantly increased in patients with type 2 diabetes. However, there was no significantly difference in free testosterone level between the two groups. 2) Sex hormone-binding globulin was positively correlated with age (r=0.4, p <0.001) in patients with type 2 diabetes. Sex hormone-binding globulin and free testosterone were not correlated with age in control sujects. 3) Free testosterone and sex hormone-binding globulin concentrations were not significantly related to serum insulin concentration after adjusting for age and body mass index. Conclusions: We observed increased sex hormone-binding globulin concentration in diabetes man, and was a positively related to age. Further studies are needed to understand the relationships between age, insulin resistance, testosterone, and sex hormone-binding globulin concentrations(J Kor Diabetes Asso 24:699~707,2000).

        Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system can automatically adjust the headway-time and driver vehicle's speed between a driver vehicle and a preceding vehicle. Driving simulator a is virtual reality tool that allows Driver-In-the-Loop Simulation in a laboratory. This paper addresses driving behavior with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system using driving simulator. Participants with different driving styles have driven the simulator with and without ACC through a highway route. Participants are divided by Driving Style Questionnaire (DSQ)-Focus, Speed and Total DSQ scores. Driving behavior in terms of average headway-time, lateral position of a car, and head and gaze movement has been investigated.

      • 이중필름 수막시스템의 에너지 절감 효과

        This study was carried out to investigate energy saving effect and thermal insulation characteristics of double film water curtain system during the coldest season in greenhouse. A double film water curtain system is a ground water spraying system between double layered plastic film, and it is able to make uniform water curtain. The experimental greenhouses were plastic greenhouses of two types. A type-Ⅰ was a two-thirds arched shape and its area was 350㎡ . A type-Ⅱ was a triangle shape and its area was 190㎡. Both greenhouses were cultivated with cactus. The minimum outside air temperature ranged was -2.6 to -16.7℃ and nocturnal ambient mean temperature was -6.5℃. The experimental greenhouses have maintained the air temperature above 2℃ of type-Ⅰ and 8℃ of type-Ⅱ. The ground water spraying flow rates of these greenhouses were 7.0ℓ/㎡hr of type-Ⅰ and 4.3ℓ/㎡hr of type-Ⅱ. The overall heat transfer coefficient of type-Ⅰ greenhouse was calculated at 1.97 kcal//㎡hr℃ and type-Ⅱ was 1.44 kcal/㎡hr℃. The energy saving rate of type-Ⅰ greenhouse was estimated and 78.1% and type-Ⅱ was 98.9%.

        아치형 단동온실의 지붕환기구조 및 천창효과

        온실재배에 있어서 가장 경제적인 환경조절 방법은 자연환기에 의한 것이므로 온실의 자연환기 성능을 극대화하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 온실의 자연환기 성능을 극대화하기 위해서는 지붕환기창의 설치가 중요한데, 아치형 단동 온실의 경우에는 천창을 설치하기 어려운 구조로 되어 있어서 대부분의 농가가 측창만 설치하여 운영하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 아치형 단동 온실의 지붕에 환기창 설치를 장려하기 위한 일환으로 사례조사와 효과분석을 실시하였다. 아치형 단동 온실의 지붕환기구조 실태조사결과 폭 5∼8m의 소형 온실에서는 플라스틱으로 제작된 원형 및 굴뚝형 환기창을, 폭 12∼18m의 대형온실에서는 철재 파이프를 덧붙인 양권취식을 많이 사용하고 있었다. 지붕환기차설치 온실과 관행의 권취식 측창만 설치된 온실에 대한 대조 실험 결과 비록 적은 면적의 지붕환기창을 설치하였지만 온도하강 1℃ 이상의 천창 환기 효과가 있었으며, 지붕환기를 실시함으로써 온도분포를 보다 균일하게 할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 지붕환기창을 설치함으로서 얻을 수 있는 온도상승 억제효과는 일사량과 풍속조건에 따라 뚜렷한 차이를 보이며, 풍속이 낮은 경우에 효과가 커지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 환기창의 개폐순서에 따른 전체적인 온도 하강의 차이는 없으나, 환기로 온도를 제어하는 경우에는 실내온도가 설정온도보다 높을 때는 천창을 열은 후 측창을 열고, 반대의 경우에는 측창을 닫은 후 천창을 닫는 것이 바람직한 것으로 판단되었다. It is difficult to install a ventilation window on the roof of single span greenhouses of arch shape. Investigation on the roof ventilation structures for those greenhouses was conducted. In small greenhouses with spans of 5 to 8 m, circular or chimney type ridge vents made of plastic were employed. In large greenhouses with spans of 12 to 18 m, even span roll-up ridge vents made of steel pipe were employed. The effect of roof ventilation was evaluated by comparative experiments between greenhouse installing ridge vents and having controlled side vents only. Roof ventilation contributed greatly to restraint of temperature rise and maintenance of uniform temperature distribution in greenhouses. And ventilation efficiency was analyzed by experiments on the opening and closing operation of the ridge and side vent. There were no temperature differences according to opening and closing sequence of ventilation window. But for greenhouse temperature control by ventilation, it is desirable to open side vents after ridge vents and to close ridge vents after side vents.

        근관형성 후 동통에 대한 수산화칼슘의 효과에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 치성 동통을 보이는 치아의 수산화칼숨의 사용 여부에 따른 동통 감소 효과를 판단하고자 시행하였다. 2003년 12월부터 2004년 9월 사이에 경희대학교 치과대학 부속 치과병원 치과보존과에 치성 동통으로 내원한 환자 213명으로부터 근관형성을 시행한 237개의 치아를 대상으로 환자의 성별 및 연령, 치료부위, 재근관 치료의 여부, 치수의 상태, 술전 치아 상태와 술전 동통의 정도를 기록하였다. 수산화칼슘을 적용하지 않은 군 (1군)과 수산화칼슘을 적용한 군 (2군)으로 분류하였다. 환자들에게 설문지를 배분하여 다음 내원시 치료 후 4시간, 2일 및 7일에 술후 동통의 발생 여부와 동통의 정도를 기록하도록 하였다. 수집한 자료들은 Chi-square analysis (p<0.05)를 사용하여 비교, 분석한 결과 근관내 약제로써 수산화칼슘은 술후 동통을 예방하거나 감소시키는 효과를 가지고 있지 않다는 것을 알 수 있었다. The purpose of this clinical study is to assess whether calcium hydroxide as an intracanal medication affects post-treatment pain in teeth especially odontogenic pain which comes from inflammation of the pulp and periradicular tissues when compared with no intracanal medication. From 213 patients who has been treated 237 root canals due to significant pain (moderate-to-severe), we recorded their age, sex, treated tooth, degree of pain, pre-operative states of the tooth. We classified patients into 2 test group: Group 1 (not gain intracanal Ca(OH)_(2)), Group 2 (gain intracanal Ca(OH)_(2)). Through the survey from the patients, we let them write down the occurrence and degree of post-treatment pain in 4hours, 2days, 7days after treatment as none. mild, moderate or severe. The followings were evaluated: the overall incidence of flare-ups, the overall incidence of post-treatment pain in each group at each time period, the incidence of post-treatment pain in each group at each time period as related to pre-operative states of the teeth. These were compared statistically with Chi-square analysis (p < 0.05). Under the condition of this investigation, no difference was observed in the incidence of post-treat-ment pain between the two groups. Therefore, Ca(OH)_(2)as intracanal medication had no effect on preventing or decreasing the post-treatment pain.

      • 아치형 온실의 자연환기 및 차광방법 개선 연구

        Arched pipe greenhouse using plastic film is very popular in Korea because it has a simple structure and less cost than any other greenhouses. Although ti has a main advantage of easy construction, ti has some disadvantage of poor ventilation and uneven light transmission. In order to overcome the problems, large scale single-span pipe greenhouses have been widely popularized. But performance of natural ventilation is very poor because their structures are difficult to in stall the roof vent. Therefore, this study was conducted to improve thermal environment during high temperature season through roof vent installation and reformed shading method for large arched single-span pipe greenhouses. Natural ventilation characteristics with roof vent existence were analyzed by using steady state thermal balance model and gravitational ventilation equation. A case study on the effect of roof vent installation was carried out, and model structures for roof vent installation in large single-span pipe greenhouse were suggested. Besides, greenhouse air temperature difference with shading method was analyzed by the simulation model using PCSMP.

        Composite action can be achieved by providing shear connectors between steel top flange and concrete topping. Composite sections have larger stiffness than the summation of the individual stiffness of slab and beam, therefore, can carry larger load or similar loads with appreciably smaller deflection and are less prone to transient vibration. T-type Steel Composite beam(TSC-beam) is developed and tested. To make the part of steel beam, we used the way of welding two steel plates as well as the way of folding one steel plate.

        CFD를 이용한 폐쇄상태계 내 토양표면의 열전달계수 분석

        A model experiment has been performed to get the heat transfer coefficient on the soil surface in the closed ecosystem. The heat flux on the soil surface was measured and the heat transfer coefficient was derived in the following two cases with 5-stepped control of inside air current speed. One case was that heat flowed from air to soil and the other case was that heat flowed from soil to air. Three dimensional CFD model has been set to simulate thermal environment in the closed ecosystem including soil layers. The standard k-ε model of the CFD program was chosen for turbulence model and heating wire buried in the soil layers was set as heat source option to simulate the case when the temperature of soil surface was higher than that of inside air in the closed ecosystem. Between one case that heat flowed from air to soil and the other case that heat flowed from soil to air, there were big differences in the temperature distribution of soil layers and the heat transfer coefficient of the soil surface. The increasing rate of heat transfer coefficient on each case according to the increase of inside air current speed was similar to each other and it respectively increased linearly. But the heat transfer coefficient on the case that heat flowed from soil to air was much bigger than that of the other case. The model was validated by comparing simulated values of CFD model with measured values of the model experiment. Simulated and measured temperature of inside air and soil layers, and heat transfer coefficient of the soil surface were well accorded and the range of corrected R^(2) was 0.664 to 0.875. The developed CFD model was well simulated in parts of the temperature of inside air and soil layers, the distribution of the inside air current speed, and heat transfer coefficient of the soil surface were able to be quantitatively analyzed by using this model. Therefore, the model would be applied and used for analysis of heat transfer coefficient between air and surface in various agricultural facilities.
