읍지(邑誌)와 방목(榜目), 호적(戶籍)을 통해 본 대구 출신 급제자들

        한상우 ( Han¸ Sangwoo ) 대구사학회 2021 대구사학 Vol.144 No.-

This study finds the successful candidates of the civil exam who resided in Taegu during the Chosŏn Dynasty. The information of the successful candidates of Taegu was collected from gazetteers published in 1768, 1832, 1924, 1995 Taegu and the rosters of the successful candidates. As a result, this study makes the list of 79 successful candidates of Taegu. However, it is interesting that records and lists of the successful candidates in each source are different. This study traces the successful candidates in the Taegu household registers published from 1681 to 1876 to check their residence in Taegu and finds that gazetteers recorded the successful candidates selectively. One reason for the selective record is the frequent migration of successful candidates. The migration cases of the Sunch'ŏn Pak family, the most successful family in the civil exam in Taegu, show us that even successful candidates were apt to leave their hometown due to their political attitude and reputation in local society. This is why difficult to ascertain how many successful candidates of the civil exam Taegu produced for 500 years. (Dept. of History, Ajou University, hansw@ajou.ac.kr)

        A 0.5–2.0 GHz Dual-Loop SAR-controlled Duty-Cycle Corrector Using a Mixed Search Algorithm

Sangwoo Han,Jongsun Kim 대한전자공학회 2013 Journal of semiconductor technology and science Vol.13 No.2

This paper presents a fast-lock dual-loop successive approximation register-controlled dutycycle corrector (SARDCC) circuit using a mixed (binary+sequential) search algorithm. A wider dutycycle correction range, higher operating frequency, and higher duty-cycle correction accuracy have been achieved by utilizing the dual-loop architecture and the binary search SAR that achieves the fast dutycycle correcting property. By transforming the binary search SAR into a sequential search counter after the first DCC lock-in, the proposed dual-loop SARDCC keeps the closed-loop characteristic and tracks variations in process, voltage, and temperature (PVT). The measured duty cycle error is less than ±0.86 % for a wide input duty-cycle range of 15?85 % over a wide frequency range of 0.5?2.0 GHz. The proposed dual-loop SARDCC is fabricated in a 0.18-μm, 1.8-V CMOS process and occupies an active area of 0.075 mm².

      • Self-assembly of tumor-targeting RNA nanoball for carrier-free delivery of therapeutic RNA

Han, Sangwoo,Lee, Jong Bum Elsevier 2018 Journal of industrial and engineering chemistry Vol.64 No.-

Abstract

Rolling circle transcription (RCT) has been studied for enhancing the delivery efficiency of therapeutic RNA by densely packing RNA strands with particle formation. This facile fabrication method has been successfully employed to generate RNA nanoballs containing functional short interference RNA. In addition, the nanoballs produced by RCT showed high stability from the nuclease degradation. With these advantages, using biotin-labeled ribonucleoside triphosphate (rNTP), target specific and non-toxic bubble RNA nanoball (BNB) was synthesized. To achieve tumor-targeting, epidermal growth factor receptor antibody (EGFR Ab) was used to target the tumor cells by labeling the target ligands with biotin–avidin interaction. Target gene silencing by EGFR Ab-labeled RNA nanoball was confirmed in vitro. Therefore, RNA nanoball can be utilized for tumor cell-targeting delivery of therapeutic RNA.

Graphical abstract

Novel tumor-targeted siRNA delivery system was developed with rolling circle transcription (RCT) and biotin–streptavidin interaction for target gene suppressing effect.

[DISPLAY OMISSION]

      • Sleep transistor sizing through a path search and power gating considering delay for reducing leakage power

        Sangwoo Han,Joohee Choung,Juho Kim 대한전자공학회 2010 ICEIC:International Conference on Electronics, Inf Vol.1 No.1

In this paper, the power gating using a cluster-based MTCMOS(Multi-Threshold CMOS) technique is proposed. MTCMOS can efficiently reduce the leakage current when a circuit is in the standby state. The proposed method considers the transition frequency of gates which represents how frequently a part of circuit is used and the path information of gates to optimize the size of sleep transistor. The method is experimented with Nangate freePDK 45nm model library on various circuits. The results were compared with ST-free design which does not use the sleep transistor and the previous method which does not consider the path information and transition frequency of circuit. The result shows that the new method in this thesis was 75% more effective than ST-free structure and 5.3% more effective than previous method on the average for reduction of leakage power. In addition, the reduction of sleep transistor area was 28.3%.

Han, Sangwoo,Lim, Jongtae,Kim, Jongsun The Institute of Electronics and Information Engin 2016 Journal of semiconductor technology and science Vol.16 No.1

A new area-efficient multi-phase clock frequency multiplier is presented. The proposed fractional-ratio frequency multiplying DLL (FFMDLL) is implemented in a 65 nm CMOS process and occupies an active area of just $0.01mm^2$. The proposed FFMDLL provides 8-phase output clocks and achieves a frequency range of 0.6-1.0 GHz with programmable multiplication ratios of N/M, where N = 4, 5, 8, 10 and M = 1, 2, 3. It achieves an effective peak-to-peak jitter of 5 ps and dissipates 3.4 mW from a 1.0 V supply at 1 GHz.

      • Programmable fractional-ratio frequency multiplying clock generator

        Sangwoo Han,Jintae Kim,Jongsun Kim IET 2014 Electronics letters Vol.50 No.3

A new programmable delay-locked loop (DLL) based fractional frequency multiplying clock generator is presented. In contrast to conventional DLL-based clock generators that generate only integer clock multiplication, the proposed clock generator provides fractional-ratio frequency multiplication while maintaining the advantages of DLLs, such as the deskewing between the input and the output clocks. Implemented in a 0.13 μm 1.2 V CMOS process, the proposed clock generator achieves an effective peak-to-peak jitter of 7.5 ps and occupies an active area of 0.018 mm2 while dissipating 9.0 mW at 1.5 GHz. The output frequency ranges from 0.85 to 1.5 GHz with programmable fractional multiplication ratios of N/M, where N = 4, 5, 8, 10 and M = 1, 2, 3.

      • Recovering Device Drivers in Thread Context

SANGWOO HAN,SANGEUN HAN 제어로봇시스템학회 2008 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2008 No.10

This correspondence presents the new mechanism, the thread-based recovery system for the device driver (TRSDD), which makes it possible to recover the failure of the device driver without re-initialization, as well as avoiding the redundant works and reducing time to complete over it. The several previous mechanisms introduce the efficient recovery procedures. Representatively, Nooks shows the lightweight protection area and Shadow device driver executes the reciprocal operation between kernel and device driver while system reinitializes the failed device driver. But those mechanisms embed the limitation, which system should reinitializes the device driver. Our proposed mechanism gets out of such bound.

Differences in the clinical manifestations and short-term prognosis of acute cerebral infarction after exposure to Agent Orange

        SangWoo Han,Inha Hwang,Seung Min Kim,Young Soon Yang,SangWon Ha,Jeong Ho Han,Tae Hwan Park 대한직업환경의학회 2016 대한직업환경의학회지 Vol.28 No.-

Background: Agent Orange (AO) is the code name for one of the herbicides and defoliants used in the Vietnam War. Studies conducted thus far show a significant correlation between AO and the occurrence of cardiovascular diseases. But there is little data on the association between AO and stroke, and limited studies have targeted patient groups exposed to AO. Method: Bohun medical center Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved the study. (ID: 341) We studied patients with acute ischemic stroke within 7 days of onset in VHS medical center and 4 other general hospitals. Among them, 91 consecutive patients with previous exposure to AO were evaluated. For controlled group, 288 patients with no history of AO exposure were chosen. Result: There were 49 (44.0 %) DM patient with a higher frequency in the exposure group (93 (32.3 %) in control P = 0.045). There were 6 (6.6 %) hyperlipidemia in exposure group and 69 (24.0 %) in control. (P < 0.002). Small vessel occlusion was the most common subtype (36, 39.6 %) in exposure group but in control group, the large artery atherosclesosis was (120, 41.7 %) (P = 0.014). The NIHSS of the exposure group on admission showed lower scores (median values, 2 and 4, respectively; P = 0. 003). The median mRS was 1 for the exposure group and 2 for the control group, at discharge and after 3 months. After 3 months of discharge, 55 (60.4 %) in the exposure group and 171 (59.4 %) in the control group showed below mRS 1 (P = 0.001). Conclusion: This study targeted patients who are Vietnam veteran. There is some difference in vascular risk factors and clinical manifestations suggest AO exposure has contributed to a certain extent to the stroke.
