Two new cyclolanostane diglycosides, cimifoetiside A (1) and cimifoetiside B (2), were isolated from an 80% ethanolic extract of the aerial part of Cimicifuga foetida L. (Ranuculaceae). Using spectral data and chemical analysis, the structures of 1 and 2 were identified as (23R, 24S) cimicigenol 3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1"→3')-β-D-xylopyranoside and (23R, 24S) cimicigenol 3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1"→2')-β-D-xylopyranoside, respectively. The in vitro immunosuppressive effects of the two new compounds 1 and 2, as well as four other known cyclolanostane saponins 3-6 on T cells were evaluated. All the agents tested effectively inhibited the proliferation of murine splenocytes induced by Concanavalin A (ConA), with IC50 values ranging from 12.7 nM to 33.3 nM.

In this work, an ultrathin 2D/2D g-C3N4/Ti3C2 heterojunction was synthesized by direct calcination of a mixture of urea and multilayer Ti3C2 for photocatalytic degradation of tetracycline. Among them, urea is the precursor for the generation of g-C3N4 and generates gas to peel the multilayer Ti3C2 into fewer layers while reacting, solving the problem of low yield for the preparation of fewer layers of Ti3C2. The experimental results of tetracycline degradation under visible light showed that pure g-C3N4 (UCN) exhibited weak photoactivity; however, its photocatalytic performance was enhanced when Ti3C2 was coupled with g-C3N4. The best sample (5TC) could degrade 90.1% of tetracycline within 30 min. After four cycles of stability test, the photocatalytic performance did not change significantly, indicating that the prepared 2D/2D g-C3N4/Ti3C2 heterojunction possesses strong photocatalytic performance along with good stability.

This study examines the influence of counterfeit luxury goods (CLG) on brand awareness, brand value, and brand loyalty of the authentic luxury brand. The study tests hypotheses using a structural equation model based on survey data from 257 Chinese consumers. The results support the hypotheses regarding the positive impact of CLG purchases on the perceived awareness and value of authentic luxury brands, as well as their negative impact on the authentic product’s brand loyalty. This study extensively probes into the relationship between CLG purchases and authentic luxury brand loyalty—an issue that remains undiscussed in the existing literature

The number of cables used for urban power supply increases rapidly. The sheath current in these cables, which is generated via induction, produces a current loss. When the situation is serious, the ground lead and the middle connector of the cable will be burned. In this paper, the existing single-core cable equivalent circuit model is used to calculate the sheath current of a 3-phase cable under the condition of non-transposition and cross connection. By comparing the calculated results with the simulation and the experimental results, it is found that the current distribution law for the sheath, which was obtained using the existing model, difers substantially from both the simulation and actual measurements. The error reason of the existing model is revealed, and it is found that the magnitude and phase of the current in the metal sheath of the cable varies with the position under the combined efect of distributed capacitances in the cable and the core-current fux, especially for a 3-phase cross connection, each section of the cable does not meet Kirchhof’s laws, but the sheath electric current in the existing models are considered equal everywhere. Therefore, a novel cable equivalent model is proposed in this paper, which is based on a distributed circuit, and an equation to calculate the sheath current is derived. The model presented in this paper corrects the problems of the existing model, which can be applied to power system, subway, high-speed rail, and any application of single-core cables.

Hypericum L. (Hypericaceae) is one of the best-selling herbal medicines in the world comprising ca. 500 species of herbs, shrubs, and small trees. Hypericum petiolulatum Hook. f. & Thomson ex Dyer is widely distributed in China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Nepal, India, Malaysia, and Bhutan and is used as a traditional herb to treat hemoptysis and inflammation. In this study, we sequenced and assembled the complete chloroplast (cp) genome of H. petiolulatum. The complete plastome of H. petiolulatum was 136,105 bp in length, with a large single copy region (LSC) of 93,709 bp, a small single copy region (SSC) of 11088 bp and two identical inverted repeats (IRs) of 15,654 bp. The overall GC content of the plastome was 37.0%, while GC contents of the LSC, SSC, and each IR were 35.5%, 31.0%, and 43.8%, respectively. In addition, 116 genes consisting of 76 protein-coding genes, six ribosomal RNA genes, and 34 transfer RNA genes were identified. A phylogenetic analysis of 14 taxa inferred based on cp genome sequences revealed a close relationship between H. petiolulatum and H. perforatum. The complete cp genome sequence of H. petiolulatum reported in this paper will facilitate population and phylogenomics studies of this medicinal plant group.

Three new monoterpene phenylpropionic acidesters, illigerates A–C (1–3), and one new aporphinealkaloid, illigeranine (4), as well as four known ones, actinodaphnine (5), nordicentrine (6), 8-hydroxy carvacrol(7), and 3-hydroxy-a,4-dimethyl styrene (8), were isolatedfrom the tubers of Illigera aromatica. The structures of 1–4were identified by HRESIMS, 1D and 2D NMR, andelectronic circular dichroism spectra. Compound 1 potentlyinhibited NO production in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7cells with an IC50 value of 18.71 ± 0.85 lM; compound 1,3, and 4 showed moderate butyrylcholinesterase inhibitoryactivities with the IC50 values of 46.86 ± 0.65,53.51 ± 0.71, and 31.62 ± 1.15 lM, respectively. Compound4 showed weak AChE inhibitory activity with anIC50 value of 81.69 ± 2.07 lM, and compounds 5 and 6possessed moderate AChE inhibitory activities with theIC50 values of 47.74 ± 1.66 and 40.28 ± 2.73 lM,respectively. This paper provides a chemical structure andbioactive foundation for using I. aromatica as an herbalmedicine.
