For the purpose of establishing the method of esthetic full coverage restoration with superior esthetics and strength for primary anterior teeth, a trial was made with silicoated resin-bonded stainless steel crown with enhanced bond strength between stainless steel and composite resin. The results were as follows: 1. The result was revealed superior in the aspects of esthetics, strength, color stability, labial thickness and chairtime which is very significant especially for un-cooperative children. 2. On the contrary, the necessity of more than 2 appointments and the aspect of economy due to the lack of common-use were remained to be solved from now on.

어린이의 하악과두골절에 대한 비외과적 정복 및 악기능회복의 치험례

        이애련,김신,김주미,황보민,김동규,최외임 大韓小兒齒科學會 1993 大韓小兒齒科學會誌 Vol.20 No.2

The author treated a case of mandibular left condylar fracture in children with conservative measures utilizing elastic rubbers, and obtained the following results. 1. It will be better to adapt non-surgical conservative method based upon functional orthopedic approaches in condylar fractures of growing children, with the exception in the cases with bilateral fracture concomittent with displacement. 2. The treatment should be initiated soon after infliction of trauma and take more than 6 months of treatment-period. 3. In order to prevent the articular ankylosis, it would be better to minimize the period of intermaxillary fixation and allow the functional mandibular movement as soon as possible. In this case, a little more treatment for orthodontics and follow-up observation would be required.

Difference in Spinal Sagittal Alignment and Health- Related Quality of Life between Males and Females with Cervical Deformity

        Shin Oe,Daisuke Togawa,Go Yoshida,Tomohiko Hasegawa,Yu Yamato,Sho Kobayashi,Tatsuya Yasuda,Tomohiro Banno,Yuki Mihara,Yukihiro Matsuyama 대한척추외과학회 2017 Asian Spine Journal Vol.11 No.6

Study Design: Cross-sectional study. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the correlation between pelvic tilt (PT) and the sacro-femoral-pubic (SFP) angle, which is easier to identify than PT, in middle-aged and elderly Asian subjects from the general population. Overview of Literature: Measuring PT is important in the diagnosis and treatment of adult spinal deformity. However, identifying femoral heads, which are necessary to determine PT, using sagittal radiographs is often difficult. Methods: Standing coronal and sagittal pelvic radiographs of individuals aged more than 50 years were taken during a local medical examination. The subjects were divided into female, male, and total groups at the time of evaluation. Linear regression analysis was performed to investigate the relationship between PT and the SFP angle, which were obtained from the X-rays. Results: The present study included 291 subjects. There were no statistically significant differences between the left and right SFP angles, and there was gender difference regarding the SFP angle. However, a gender difference was observed regarding PT. The correlation between PT and the SFP angle was substantiated in each group. Pearson’s correlation coefficients between PT and the SFP angle in the total, female, and male groups were 0.696, 0.853, and 0.619, respectively. In the linear regression analysis, PT was calculated as follows: PT=60.1−0.77×(SFP angle) in the total group, PT=62.8−0.80×(SFP angle) in the female group, and PT=51.5−0.64×(SFP angle) in the male group. Conclusions: A significant correlation between PT and the SFP angle was observed in middle-aged and elderly Asian subjects from the general population.

Spinal Sagittal Alignment, Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale Scores, and Patient-Reported Outcome among People with Sporting Activity

        Oe Shin,Yamato Yu,Hasegawa Tomohiko,Yoshida Go,Kobayashi Sho,Yasuda Tatsuya,Banno Tomohiro,Arima Hideyuki,Mihara Yuki,Ushirozako Hiroki,Yamada Tomohiro,Ide Koichiro,Watanabe Yuh,Haruo Niwa,Matsuyama Y 대한척추외과학회 2020 Asian Spine Journal Vol.14 No.3

Study Design: Retrospective cohort study.Purpose: This study aimed to investigate how participation in sporting activity affects patient-reported outcome (PRO), including Neck Disability Index (NDI), in males and females.Overview of Literature: Previously, our study reported that factors with a negative influence on the NDI in females were a lack of sporting activities. However, it was still unclear why it affected poor scores of NDI.Methods: The subjects were 473 volunteers. They were divided into two groups (activity and non-activity) according to participation or non-participation in sporting activities using a self-filled questionnaire. The evaluation items were height, weight, grip strength, bone density, Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) score, standing radiographic parameters, PRO (evaluated by EuroQol-5 dimension [EQ-5D], Oswestry Disability Index [ODI]), and NDI.Results: There were 101 males in the non-activity group and 69 in the activity group and 178 females in the non-activity group and 125 in the activity group. For the males, the evaluation items with significant influence were cervical lordosis (non-activity group:activity group, 17°:22°) and T1 slope minus cervical lordosis (10°:6°, p <0.05). For the females, the evaluation items with significant influence were sagittal vertical axis (28:14 mm), HADS (10.4:8.4), EQ-5D (0.79:0.86), ODI (17:12), and NDI (12:9, p <0.01). HADS and PRO in the females were significantly correlated with the EQ-5D (−0.40), ODI (0.43), and NDI (0.55).Conclusions: Males who participated in sporting activities had better cervical spine alignment but no effect on PRO. Females with sporting activities had better spinal global alignment and less mental stress. It is suggested that sporting activity in females might be associated with PRO because HADS highly correlates with PRO.

Nonstationary Time Series and Missing Data

        Shin, Dong-Wan,Lee, Oe-Sook The Korean Statistical Society 2010 응용통계연구 Vol.23 No.1

Missing values for unit root processes are imputed by the most recent observations. Treating the imputed observations as if they are complete ones, semiparametric unit root tests are extended to missing value situations. Also, an invariance principle for the partial sum process of the imputed observations is established under some mild conditions, which shows that the extended tests have the same limiting null distributions as those based on complete observations. The proposed tests are illustrated by analyzing an unequally spaced real data set.

申吉洙,朴淳永,梁龍吉,崔龍魚 圓光大學校 附設 體力科學硏究所 1983 體力科學硏究 Vol.6 No.-

In order to assess the physical growth pattern of Korean Youth, the authors measured the body height and weight of 40967 presons (24832 males and 16135 females) from primary schools, middle and high schools and colleges of metropolition(urban) and rural areas, and calculated the mean, standard deviation, standard error and coefficient variance. A survey on Korean Youth was conducted for assessing their physical growth and development in terms of physical and nutritional indies, indirect measurement of body surface area(㎡), body volume(ℓ), body density(D), body fat weight(㎏), percent of body fat weight and fallowing results were btained. 1. Physical growth and development a) Body height Rapid growth of physical growth in terms of body height has been observed among males in the age 7-15 and among female 7-13. Growth in terms of body height turned out to be slower among students of height age by both sexes. The age of cross over between to sexes in between 10 to 13 years where upon girls out grous boys. Maximum annual growth were upon girls out grows boys. Maximum annual growth were both of 6.16 ㎝ from 8 to 9 years old and 12 to 13 years old for boys and 7.2 ㎝ from 8 to 9 and 6.1 ㎝ from 9 to 10 for girls. This indicates that girls enter a rapidly growing stage 2 years earlier than boys. Meanwhile, prominent improvement in body height of national students over period of ten year was noticed. b) Body weight Rapid growth, in terms of body weights measured with students fo various ages, which is described by a straight line on a growth curve, has been observed among males in the ages 7-16 and among females aged 7-14, as in the case of body hight. Growth body weight was found to be slower among students of higher ages by both sexes. The age of cross over between to sexes is between 10 to 14 years where upon female out grows male. On the average female were found to enter a rapidly growing stage two year earlier than the males. Among both the males and females growth in terms of increase in body weight turned out to be substantially in active at age 7 and 8 compared with the other ages. 2. The distribution status of body height by age. The distribution status of body height by age were as follows; 7 year of age : boys - 30㎝ range of body height from 104.0㎝ to 133.9㎝, girls - 27㎝ from 104.0 to 130.0㎝ 8 year of age : boys - 30㎝ from 116.0 to 145.9㎝, girls - 33㎝ from 113.0 to 145.9㎝ 9 year of age : boys - 30㎝ from 116.0 to 145.9㎝, girls - 33㎝ from 113 to 145 ㎝ 10 year of age : boys - 39㎝ from 116.0 to 154.9㎝, girls - 39㎝ from 122.0 to 160.0㎝ 11 year of age : boys - 45㎝ from 119.0 to 163.9㎝, girls - 39㎝ from 122.0 to 160.9㎝ 12 year of age : boys - 45㎝ from 125.0 to 169.9㎝, girls - 42㎝ from 125.0 to 166.9㎝ 13 year of age : boys - 45㎝ from 128.0 to 172.9㎝, girls - 42㎝ from 128.0 to 169 ㎝ 14 year of age : boys - 48㎝ from 131.0 to 178.9㎝, girls - 36㎝ from 134.0 to 169.9㎝ 15 year of age : boys - 42㎝ from 137.0 to 181.9㎝, girls - 33㎝ from 137.0 to 169.9㎝ 16 year of age : boys - 39㎝ from 146.0 to 184.9㎝, girls - 30㎝ from 143.0 to 172.9㎝ 17 year of age : boys - 39㎝ from 146.0 to 184.9㎝, girls - 27㎝ from 143.0 to 169.9㎝ 18 year of age : boys - 36㎝ from 152.0 to 187.9㎝, girls - 27㎝ from 146.0 to 172.9㎝ 19 year of age : boys - 30㎝ from 155.0 to 184.9㎝, girls - 24㎝ from 146.0 to 169.9㎝ 20 year of age : boys - 24㎝ from 158.0 to 181.9㎝, girls - 18㎝ from 149.0 to 166.9㎝ 3.
Summary

Pro-inflammatory cytokines produced in the tumor microenvironment lead to eradication of anti-tumor immunity and enhanced tumor cell survival. In the current study, we identified tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) as a major factor triggering cancer cell immunosuppression against T cell surveillance via stabilization of programmed cell death-ligand 1 (PD-L1). We demonstrated that COP9 signalosome 5 (CSN5), induced by NF-κB p65, is required for TNF-α-mediated PD-L1 stabilization in cancer cells. CSN5 inhibits the ubiquitination and degradation of PD-L1.
