        To evaluate the rehabilitative care needs of the patients with spinal cord injury in this regional area, the complications which were seen in the department of rehabilitation medicine in Chungnam National University Hospital during the 1st year since the opening of the isolated rehabilitation medicine ward in September 1989 were analyzed. The study population was consisted of 25 men and 2 women. Nine cases (33.3%) were in the 20-29 age group and 11 cases (40.8%) were injured by traffic accident, the most common cause of traumatic spinal cord injury in this study. Sixteen cases(59.2%) were paraplegics and eleven cases(40.8%) were quardriplegics. The duration from the onset of injury to admission to the department of rehabilitation medicine ranged from 21 days to 14 years with mean of 18 months. The complications seen in this study were as follows. 1. Urinary tract infections, most common complication, were found in 14 cases (51.6%) followed by decubitus ulcers (44.4%), edema of leg (22.2%), spasticity (18.5%). 2. The most common organism of urinary tract infection was E.coli(43.0%). 3. Among the 22 cases which underwent IVP and VCUG, 2 cases showed hydronephrosis in IVP and 4 cases showed vesicoureteral reflux in VCUG. 4 The most common site of pressure sores was sacrum(53.3%). 5. The mean duration of pressure sore healing with non-surgical treatment was 18 days in Grade II and 42 days in Grade III. With the above results, it is concluded that most frequent complications of patients with spinal cord injury were urinary tract infection and pressure sores, with most of them being occurred before the admission to department of rehabilitation medicine and being treated completely during the stay in the department of rehabilitatiom medicine, and that the comprehensive rehabilitation treatment for the prevention of complications is necessary from the onset of injury.

        묘지 조성사업지의 비탈면 보호공법에 관한 연구(Ⅰ) : 강릉시 시범 공설묘지 조성사업을 중심으로

        강릉시 시범 공설묘지 조성사업은 경사 30˚ 의 표고차가 심한 산지를 절 · 성토하여 계단식 묘역단을 조성하는 공사로 수직고 15m이상의 대절토 및 성토부가 산재하고 있다. 특히 묘역단장후 주변 유입수 및 표면 유출수에 의한 비탈면 붕괴, 묘역단 유실 등의 피해가 발생할 경우 보수 또는 보강이 사실상 어려운 실정이며, 사회적 여론으로 확대될 가능성이 크므로 비탈면 보호에 필요한 녹화공법을 검토하였다. 구체적인 연구내용으로는 설계도면 및 현장답사를 통한 문제 비탈면 추출, 비탈면의 물리적 특성과 식생의 생육상황 파악, 비탈면 주변부의 식생조사와 유용식생 선발, 비탈면의 토양조건 분석 및 비탈면 토사의 기본물성 조사 등이며, 이를 기초로 하여 비탈면 현황 및 문제점을 파악하고, 그 대안을 제시하였다. The construction of a public cemetery in Kangnung city includes terraced graveyard with cutting or banking in mountain which has severe altitude differences with a slope of 30˚. Therefore, there are scattered cutting and banking sections with vertical height more than 15m. Especially, if the slope failure or the loss of a graveyard happens after graveyard establishment due to surface flow and inflow around, it is difficult to repair, causing serious public censure. Accordingly. revegetation works were examined that need protection of slope. The specific content of the study was the selection of slopes requiring special care through blueprint and field investigation the measurement of the physical property of slope and the situation of vegetative growth, the investigation of vegetation in slopes and the selection of vegetation, and the analysis of soil condition of slopes and the physical condition of slope sediment. On the basis of investigations some alternatives were proposed.Key words: public cemetery, slope protection works, revegetation works

      • A Critical Literature Review: The Transition from In-Home Care to Institutional Care for the Elderly with Dementia in the US

        치매노인을 돌보는 가족의 간호 부담의 증가와 더불어 국내에서도 치매노인의 장기간호 시설 입원이 서구사회와 같이 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 노인을 돌보는 데 있어 가족의 역할을 중요시해온 한국의 전통적 가치관에 비추어 볼 때 최근의 사회적 변화로 인한 가족 간호의 역할 감소는 중요한 문제로 대두되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 일찍이 치매노인환자의 장기간호 시설로의 입원이 보편화된 미국의 치매환자 가족의 가정에서 시설로의 간호의 전환과 관련된 문헌을 고찰함으로써 한국 상황에서 의 관련 연구를 활성화시키기 위한 기초 자료로 활용하기 위함이다. 치매환자의 장기 간호시설 입원에 영향을 미치는 요인, 장기간호시설로의 입원결정과 관련된 가족의 경험, 시설 입원 후 가족이 경험하는 스트레스 및 만족도, 가족의 환자 간호에의 계속적인 참여경험 및 관련 질적 연구에 대한 문헌이 고찰 및 분석되었다. 문헌고찰의 결과로서 한국상황에서 다음과 같은 연구가 필요하다고 사료된다. 1) 한국 사회에서 치매환자의 실제 장기 간호 시설 입원률과 현황에 대한 조사가 이루어져야 한다. 2) 치매환자의 장기 시설 입원을 촉진시키는 요인에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 3) 치매환자를 장기 간호 시설로 입원시키는 가족이 경험하는 스트레스와 만족도에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 4) 가정에서 치매노인을 돌보는 가족과 시설 입원 가족의 부담감과 만족도에 대한 비교연구가 필요하다. 5) 시설로의 입원이 치매노인 본인에게 미치는 영향에 대한 연구가 필요하다.

        FPSP 팀 문제해결 프로그램이 창의적 문제해결 교육 관련 교사 효능감과 창의적 성격에 미치는 효과

        Torrance의 미래문제해결프로그램(Future Problem Solving Program: FPSP) 팀 문제해결 프로그램의 효과검증을 위해, 70명의 초등학교 교사를 실험ㆍ통제집단으로 구분하여 방학 기간 중 5일에 걸쳐 실험집단에 대해 팀 문제해결 프로그램을 실시했다. 사전검사와 사후검사로 '창의적 문제해결교육 관련 교사 효능감 검사'와 Torrance(1998)의 자기보고식 창의적 성격 검사(WKOPAY)를 사용하여 그 효과를 살펴보았다. 사전검사 점수를 공변인으로 MANCOVA를 실시한 결과 FPSP 팀 문제해결은 창의적 문제해결 교육 관련 교사 효능감을 통계적으로 유의하게 증가시키고 있었다. 그러나 창의적 성격에 대한 효과는 명확하게 찾아낼 수 없었다. 창의적 문제해결 교육 관련 교사 효능감의 하위요인에 대해 ANCOVA를 실시한 결과, FPSP 팀 문제해결 프로그램은 교사 자신의 교수 능력에 대한 개인적 신념인 '창의적 문제해결 교육 관련 사적 교수 효능감'에서 통계적으로 유의미한 증가를 보여주었다. 이 결과는 짧은 교육 기간임에도 불구하고 FPSP 팀 문제해결 교육이 개별 교사들에게 학생들을 대상으로 창의적 문제해결을 잘 가르칠 수 있다는 신념을 가질 수 있도록 해 준다는 점을 시사해주고 있다. The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of Torrance's Future Problem Solving Program(FPSP)-team problem solving on teacher efficacy of creative problem solving and creative personality in 70 primary school teachers. Teachers had rece번ived in-service education using the FPSP-team problem solving for 40 hours during 5 days. Prior to the experimental treatment, pretests of creative personality and teacher efficacy of creativity problem solving were administered. The experimental group received the FPSP-team problem solving but the control group didn't have any treatment. The creative personality test was 'What Kind of Person Are You?(WKOPAY)' by Torrance(1998). The teacher efficacy test of creativity problem solving was used the test validated by Jun & Park(2012) based on Armor et al.(1976), Gibson & Dembo(1984), Ashton & Webb(1986). The FPSP-team problem solving program was significant effect on teacher efficacy of creative problem solving of experiment group' teachers using MANCOVA. By the way, there were not statistically significant effect on creative personality. And also there was significant effect on personal teaching efficacy of creative problem solving of experiment group using ANCOVA for post-test of subfactors.

        Fabrication of Photoimageable Silver Paste for Low-Temperature Cofiring Using Acrylic Binder Polymers and Photosensitive Materials

        Thick-film photolithography is a new technology that combines lithography processes, such as exposure and development, with the conventional thick-film process applied to screen-printing. In this study, we developed a low-temperature cofireable silver paste applicable for thick-film processing to form fine lines using photolitho-graphic technologies. The optimum paste composition for forming fine lines was investigated. The effect of processing parameters, such as the exposing dose, had on the fine-line resolution was also investigated. As the result, we found that the type of polymer and monomer, the silver powder loading, and the amount of photoinitiator were the main factors affecting the resolution of the fine lines. The developed photoimageable silver paste was printed on a low-temperature cofireable green sheet, dried, exposed, developed in an aqueous process, laminated, and then fired. Our results demonstrate that thick-film fine lines having widths < 20 $\mu\textrm{m}$ can be obtained after cofiring.

        Development and Validation of the Korean Version of Hand-Foot Skin Reaction and Quality of Life Questionnaire (HF-QoL-K)

        <P>Given the growing number of cancer patients and the resulting increase in the administration of chemotherapeutic agents, convenient and effective methods for measuring the symptoms and quality of life associated with the hand-foot syndrome (HFS) are needed. Therefore, the aim of this study was to develop and validate the Korean version of the hand-foot skin reaction and quality of life questionnaire (HF-QoL-K), comprising a 20-item symptom domain and an 18-item daily activity domain. After we developed the HF-QoL-K, 209 Korean patients with gynecologic cancer who were undergoing chemotherapeutic agents relating the HFS were asked to fill in the questionnaire. The content validity, internal consistency reliability, and test-retest reliability were evaluated. The internal validity index, Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, and intra-class correlation coefficient of the HF-QoL-K were 0.90, 0.958, and 0.825 (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.774–0.865), respectively. The scatter plot (Pearson correlation coefficient, 0.826) and the Bland-Altman plot for test-retest reliability were also acceptable. The HF-QoL-K instrument is a valid and reliable questionnaire for the measurement of the symptoms and quality of life in Korean cancer patients suffering HFS.</P>

        Hydration Characteristics and Synthesis of Hauyne-Belite Cement as Low Temperature Sintering Cementitious Materials

        OPC production requires high calorific value and emits a large amount of $CO_2$ through decarbonation of limestone, accounting for about 7% of $CO_2$ emissions. To reduce $CO_2$ emissions during the Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) production process, there is a method of reducing the consumption of cement or lower temperature calcination for OPC product. In this study, for energy consumption reduction, we prepared Hauyne-belite cement by calcination at a low temperature compared to that used for OPC and studied the early hydration properties of the synthesized Hauyne-belite cement. We set the ratios of Hauyne and belite to 8 : 2, 5 : 5 and 3 : 7. For the hydration properties of the synthesized Hauyne-belite cement, we tested heat of hydration of paste and the compressive strength of mortar, using XRD and SEM for analysis of hydrates. As for our results, the temperature for optimum synthesis of Hauyne-belite is $1,250^{\circ}C$. Compressive strength of synthesized Hauyne-belite cement is lower than that of OPC, but it is confirmed that compressive strength of synthesized Hauyne-belite cement with mixing in of some other materials can be similar to that of OPC.
