This paper addresses the control law design for synchronization of two different chaotic oscillators with mutually Lipschitz nonlinearities. For analysis of the properties of two different nonlinearities, an advanced mutually Lipschitz condition is proposed. This mutually Lipschitz condition is more general than the traditional Lipschitz condition. Unlike the latter, it can be used for the design of a feedback controller for synchronization of chaotic oscillators of different dynamics. It is shown that any two different Lipschitz nonlinearities always satisfy the mutually Lipschitz condition. Applying the mutually Lipschitz condition, a quadratic Lyapunov function and uniformly ultimately bounded stability, easily designable and implementable robust control strategies utilizing algebraic Riccati equation and linear matrix inequalities, are derived for synchronization of two distinct chaotic oscillators. Furthermore, a novel adaptive control scheme for mutually Lipschitz chaotic systems is established by addressing the issue of adaptive cancellation of unknown mismatch between the dynamics of different chaotic systems. The proposed control technique is numerically tested for synchronization of two different chaotic Chua's circuits and for obtaining identical behavior between the modified Chua's circuit and the Rössler system.

This article addresses the synchronization problem for two different chaotic systems with state time-delays, disturbances, and mutually Lipschitz nonlinearities. For analysis of the two different kind of chaotic oscillators, adaptive control theory, mutually Lipschitz condition and linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) based methodology are utilized to suppress the synchronization error and mismatch between the master-slave chaotic in the presence of disturbances and state delays. A novel adaptive control scheme for the synchronization of such systems is established that guarantees the convergence of the error trajectory and ensures the stability of the synchronization error system. In the end, established adaptive control law is verified by a numerical example of two different, popular in electronics, chaotic Chua’s circuit and Rossler system.
Enhanced Segmentation Technique for Image Retrieval
Muhammad Riaz,Young-Eun An,Jong-An Park 한국정보기술학회 2009 한국정보기술학회논문지 Vol.7 No.5
In this paper, color features of the images are used to make a feature vector for image retrieval. Novel technique for segmenting HSV (Hue, Saturation and Value) is used in this proposed algorithm. We used different ranges of Hue and Saturation in HSV color space. Image is first classified and divided into A number of areas, and then each area is divided into S number of segments based on the number of color pixels it contains. The area which has more number of colored pixels is divided into more number of segments and the area which has less number of pixels is divided into less number of segments. This way we can construct the feature vector. Feature vector of the query image is compared with the feature vector of the database images and the results are obtained and sorted in ascending order. A web-based retrieval system is used for experimentation and results. Results show that even if we rotate the image or change the size of the images the proposed method gives robust and efficient results.
Media Framing on Coverage of Motorway Rape Incident: A Study of Cable Channels in Pakistan
Muhammad Riaz Raza,Muhammad Usman Saeed,Zafar Ali 숙명여자대학교 아시아여성연구원 2023 Asian Women Vol.39 No.2
Sensitive issues, such as rape, need to be handled with special care in the media, as the media's framing impacts how the audience perceives an event. Using framing theory, this study investigated the coverage of the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway Incident on four leading news channels: Geo News, ARY News, Dunya News, and Express News. Content analysis was performed to analyze the data collected from 26 programs of 4 primetime talk shows on the selected channels. The study's findings reveal that Geo News provided the most extensive coverage of the incident. Altogether, seven significant themes were identified, the most dominant thematic frame being blaming the police. It concludes that the media's coverage of the incident was responsible and objective in relation to the victim and avoided the use of sensational language.
Fuzzy parameterized fuzzy soft topology with applications

In this paper, we study the concept of fuzzifying soft set called fuzzy parameterized fuzzy soft sets (FPFS-sets) and some results which holds in crisp set theory but does not hold in FPFS-set theory. We study FPFS-topology on FPFS-sets. We introduce closure, interior, frontier and exterior in the context of FPFS-topological spaces. We also discuss some properties of quasi-coincidence and Q-neighborhood for FPFS-sets. Furthermore, we present an application of FPFS-topology to find the aggregate of every FPFS-open set in FPFS-topology by using some algorithms for decision-making.

We introduce different concepts of soft sets, including soft $\sigma$-ring, soft algebra, and soft $\sigma$-algebra. We present different types of set functions, including soft finitely sub-additive, soft countably sub-additive, soft finitely additive, soft countably additive and soft monotone. We study the concept of soft outer measure and soft Lebesgue outer measure. We also describe interesting applications of soft mappings to decision-making.

Efficient hole transport materials for solar cell applications are gained huge intension of every scientist. Hole transport materials play a dominant role in solar cells as they provide high power conversion efficiency along with low cost, less toxic, and easy synthesis routs. Motivates from valuable literature, here efforts are being made to designed new novel hole transport materials for solar cell applications. Five new and highly efficient hole transport molecules (BT1–BT5) are designed after end-capped donor modifications of recently synthesized B3 (R) molecule. The photovoltaic, optoelectronic, and structural-property relationship of all designed molecules are extensively studied while using density functional theory and time-dependent density functional theory at MPW1PW91/6-31G(d,p) basis set. Low reorganizational energy of hole is observed in all designed molecules as compared to reference molecule which suggested that designed molecules have high hole mobility as compared to R molecule. Red-shifting in absorption spectrum of designed molecules (as compared to reference molecule) is also seen which offer high power conversion efficiency and high excited highest occupied molecular orbital to lowest unoccupied molecular orbital charge shifting. Low binding and excitation energies are observed in designed molecules. Molecular electrostatic potential, transition density matrix, hole–electron overlap as heat map, open circuit voltage, density of states, and complex study of BT5:PC61BM is also performed for all studied molecule. After all analysis, we believed that our theoretical designed molecules are superior to R molecule, thus we recommend these molecules to experimentalist for future development of highly-efficient solar cells.
Risk Factors of Prostate Cancer: a Case-control Study in Faisalabad, Pakistan
Bashir, Muhammad Naeem,Ahmad, Muhammad Riaz,Malik, Akram Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.23
Background: Prostate cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer among males in Pakistan but very little is known about risk factors among the Pakistani population. Therefore a hospital-based, case-control study was carried out in Faisalabad to identify potential risk factors. Materials and Methods: This study was based on 140 prostate cancer cases and 280 normal controls. Logistic regression was used to estimate odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals for odds ratios to assess the relationship between prostate cancer and different risk factors. Results: Family history of prostate cancer, age, smoking, obesity, consumption of red meat and frequent use of fat items significantly increased the prostate cancer risk (odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals of: 7.32; 1.79-29.8; 16.9, 5.60-50.8; 2.47, 1.17-5.18; 5.79, 2.66-12.6; 2.71, 1.07-6.91; and 3.39, 1.47-7.83, respectively. On the other hand, more consumption of fruit, fluid intake and better lifestyle (physical activity) significantly reduced the risk of developing prostate cancer with odd ratios and corresponding 95% confidence intervals of: 0.27, 0.11-0.61; 0.05, 0.02-0.12; and 0.28, 0.13-0.58. Conclusions: The results of the present study suggested that age, family history of prostate cancer, smoking, obesity, fluid intake, frequent use of fat items, consumption of fruits and better lifestyle might be associated with prostate cancer among Pakistani males.
