Purpose: The study aimed to clarify the concept of spiritual self-care in hospice team members. Methods: To analyze the concept of spiritual self-care of hospice care team, the study was carried out using Schwartz-Barcott and Kim's hybrid model including theoretical, fieldwork and final analytic stages. In the theoretical stage, 'spirituality', 'spiritual well-being', 'spiritual health', 'spiritual care', and 'self-care' were set as search terms, and the resulting 107 related works of domestic and international literature were analyzed. In the field survey stage, data were collected from nurses and spiritual experts with more than 5 years of experience in spiritual self-care. Results: The concept of spiritual self-care is to realize the meaning and purpose of life while constantly maintaining relationships with oneself, neighbors, communities, and the absolute, utilize transcendence and internal resources, strengthen professional competence, maintain work-life balance, and achieve spiritual well-being. It was identified as a dynamic state to realize. The quality attributes of the concept of spiritual self-care were found to have 5 attributes and 15 indicators. Conclusion: The attributes and indicators derived through this study will be helpful in understanding the concept of hospice team members' spiritual self-care. In addition, as a way to continuously grow and train professional hospice team members, it can be used to develop a spiritual self-care assessment tool and an educational program to prevent burnout.
Structure analysis of anti-enterovirus 71 polysaccharide from the root of Sanguisorba officinalis

Increasing prevalence and pandemic risk of viral diseases urgently need the development of safe and effective treatment. The root of Sanguisorba officinalis (SO) has been traditionally used for infectious diseases. In this study, we aimed to elucidate the structure of polysaccharide isolated from SO that inhibits the infection of enterovirus 71 (EV71) causative agent for hand, foot, and mouth disease. The purified macromolecule (S-a3, 260.4 kDa) was a homogenous polysaccharide consisted of galacturonic acid (26.1%), galacturonic acid-6O-methyl ester (14.1%), glucose (20.2%), arabinose (18.3%), galactose (11.8%), and rhamnose (3.7%) residues. Linkage and NMR analysis exhibited that S-a3 consisted of different types of polysaccharides interlinked together including homogalacturonan, rhamnogalacturonan-I, 1,4-α-glucan, and arabinogalactan. S-a3 significantly inhibited cell death and viral gene expression in the EV71-infected Vero cell, and alleviated EV71-induced body weight loss, death, and paralysis in the hSCARB2 transgenic mice model. Importantly, S-a3 was non-toxic to cells and mice at the effective concentration. The antiviral effect of S-a3 was associated with disturbance of EV71 attachment on host cells. Our findings demonstrate that a polysaccharide of SO can be a safe and effective treatment for prevention of EV71 infection.
Silver Nanoparticle-Based Inkjet-Printed Metamaterial Absorber on Flexible Paper
Minyeong Yoo,Hyung Ki Kim,Sangkil Kim,Tentzeris, Manos,Sungjoon Lim IEEE 2015 IEEE antennas and wireless propagation letters Vol.14 No.-
<P>In this letter, a novel, flexible inkjet-printed metamaterial absorber is proposed. The unit cell consists of a miniaturized Jerusalem-cross resonator and a completely conductive bottom. Because the conductive patterns are inkjet-printed using silver nanoparticle inks on paper, the proposed metamaterial absorber is flexible. It is also eco-friendly because it does not produce any chemical waste. In this letter, the working principle of the proposed miniaturized unit cell is explained, and parametric simulations are described. The inkjet-printing process is delineated, and the silver nanoparticle inks and paper used are characterized. The performance of the proposed absorber is demonstrated with a full-wave simulation and measurements at the X-band. The experimental results show that the absorption rate at 9.09 GHz is greater than 99% at the normal incidence. Angular and polarization insensitivity are also experimentally demonstrated.</P>
A Cognitive-Semantic Account for the Formation of Two-word and Three-word Verbs
Kyungyul Kim,Sujin Lee,Minyeong Kim 한국중원언어학회 2015 언어학연구 Vol.0 No.35
The purpose of this study was twofold: 1) to present a cognitive-semantic account for the relationship between the meanings and high frequency of verb-particle combinations in English and 2) to demonstrate why one particular set of particles (i.e. out, up, down, back, away, etc.) is frequently used to combine with a particular verb to form two-word verbs, while the other particular set (i.e. on, with, to, of, for, etc.) tends to combine with a particular verb to form three-word verbs. It seems that the high frequency of a limited set of particles in verb-particle constructions is motivated by conceptual features based on semantic extensions. The verb-particle combination can be best understood by a functional or semantic characterization with respect to the meanings of the attached particles. Based on a cognitive-functional approach, this study proposed that the verb-particle combinations are probably created according to the human conceptual system organizing functional categories. Finally, this study claims that verb-particle combinations can emerge as a functional category, a linguistic device to convey semanticallysalient meanings in order to organize cognitively-motivated constructions; thus, the frequent use of a limited set of particles is closely related to their functionally-semantically salient properties.
