In this study, we report the mechanical, structural, electronic, magnetic and optical behaviors in Zn1-xMnxS (0 ≤ x ≤ 1), which are determined by employing Wein2K code. The ferromagnetic (FM) state stability of the Zn1-xMnxS alloys has been elucidated from the calculated values of enthalpy of formation. The elastic constant (C11, C12, C14) are calculated to find various useful mechanical parameters, which depend upon Mn concentrations. The calculated electronic band structure and density of states (DOS) have demonstrated that exchange splitting through p-d hybridization, arising due to Mn impurities, stabilize a ferromagnetic state. The exchange splitting of the bands is further elucidated from the sharing of magnetic moment, charge and spin, between the impurity cations and the host lattice anions. Various parameters like direct spin-exchange splitting Dx(d), exchange constants N0a and N0b have also confirmed a stable ferromagnetic state. Various calculated optical parameters have indicated that the studied compounds respond to visible and ultraviolet energies. Moreover, the calculated optical band gap and static dielectric constant 31 (0) verify Penn's model. The studied compounds of Zn1-xMnxS have been shown theoretically that they find potential spintronic and optical device applications.

Nanotechnology seeks to improve material effectiveness to have a greater impact on medicine. The current study was performed to determine how effective dietary propolis (PR) and propolis nanoparticles (PR-NPs) were at improving immune and anti-oxidant status, lowering cortisol levels as stress indicators, and preventing Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection in O. niloticus. Histopathology was carried out. Fish (N = 516, 25 ± 2g) were fed basal diets supplemented with 1 gm PR/kg, 2 gm PR/kg, 1 gm PR-NPs/kg, 2 gm PR-NPs/kg feed and control diet for 28 days. When compared to the control, interlukin-1, IgM, complement 5, and levels of lysozyme were dramatically higher in PR and PR-NPs fed-groups. Antioxidant enzymes and glutathione levels were higher in fish fed PR and PR-NPs, but malondialdehyde levels were lower. Cortisol levels decreased in feeding groups compared to the control. When compared to O. niloticus group fed 1 gm PR/kg and the positive control, propolis nanoparticles successfully prevented P. aeruginosa infection and the mortality rate was zero. When compared to the negative control, the positive control group's histopathological findings revealed severe histopathological changes. In low and high groups fed PR-NPS, normal structures were observed as well as high concentrations of PR after being injected with P. aeruginosa. The group that was fed low concentrations of PR after being injected with P. aeruginosa showed only minor histopathological changes. Conclusion: Dietary supplementation of PR or PR-NPs may have a beneficial effect on aquaculture, with PR-NPs having a superior effect.

Condensation of 4-cyano-5,6-dimethyl-3-pyridazinone 1 with aromatic aldehydes gave the novel styryl derivatives 2a-c. Refluxing of compound 2a with phosphorus oxychloride furnished 3-chloropyridazine derivative 3. Compound 3 was reacted with thiourea and produced pyridazine-3(2H)thione 4. Thieno[2,3-c]- pyridazines 5a-e were achieved by cycloalkylation of compound 4 with halocompounds in methanol under reflux and in the presence of sodium methoxide. Also, refluxing of compound 4 with N-substituted chloroacetamide in the presence of potassium carbonate afforded thienopyridazines 6a-e. Cyclization of compound 6 with some electrophilic reagents as carbon disulfide and triethyl orthoformate furnished the novel pyrimido[4',5':4,5]thieno[2,3-c]pyridazines 12 and 13a-c, respectively. Diazotisation of compound 6 with sodium nitrite in acetic acid produced the pyridazino[4',3':4,5]thieno[3,2-d][1,2,3]triazines 14a-c. Ternary condensation of compound 1, aromatic aldehydes and malononitrile in ethanol containing piperidine under reflux afforded the novel phthalazines 16a-c. Compound 3 was subjected to some nucleophilic substitution reactions with amines and sodium azide and formed the aminopyridazines 17a, b and tetrazolo[1,5-b]-pyridazine 19, respectively. The structures of the synthesized compounds were established by elemental and spectral analyses.

In this paper, the mass optimization of four bar linkages is carried out using genetic algorithms (GA) with single and dual constraints. The single constraint of bending stress and the dual constraints of bending and buckling stresses are imposed. From the movement response of the bar linkage mechanism, the analysis of the mechanism is developed using the combination of kinematics, kinetics, and finite element analysis (FEA). A penalty-based transformation technique is used to convert the constrained problem into an unconstrained one. Lastly, a detailed comparison on the effect of single constraint and of dual constraints is presented.

This study aims at benefit from barely husk ash (BHA), rice husk ash (RHA), and coal fly ash (CFA) as a replacement of ordinary Portland cement (OPC) to eliminate the problems associated with cement industry involving energy consuming and air pollution. Three series of cement mixes were prepared from OPC with different contents (0–30 wt.%) of each additive. Different cementing and mechanical properties of the prepared mixes were tested according to the international standard specifications. It was concluded that OPC blended with 15–20 wt.% of BHA, RHA, or CFA show outstanding cementing properties.

We obtain the first complete CCD light curves (LCs) of the contact binary AP UMi in the VRI bands and analyzed them by means of the PHOEBE code. A spotted model is applied to treat the asymmetry in the LCs. The LC morphology clearly shows the O'Connell effect and the solution shows an influence of star spots on both components. Such effect of star spots is common between the RS CVn and W UMa chromospherically active stars. Based on the obtained solution of the LCs we investigate the evolutionary state of the components and conclude that the system is a pre-intermediate contact binary ($f=0.29$) with mass ratio $q=0.38$, and it is an A-type W UMa system where the less massive secondary component is cooler than the more massive primary one.} We obtain the first complete CCD light curves (LCs) of the contact binary AP UMi in the VRI bands and analyzed them by means of the PHOEBE code. Escherichia coli is the most preferred microorganism to express heterologous proteins for therapeutic use, as around 30% of the approved therapeutic proteins are currently being produced using it as a host. Owing to its rapid growth, high yield of the product, costeffectiveness, and easy scale-up process, E. coli is an expression host of choice in the biotechnology industry for large-scale production of proteins, particularly non-glycosylatedproteins, for therapeutic use. The availability of various E. coli expression vectors and strains, relatively easy protein folding mechanisms, and bioprocess technologies, makes it very attractive for industrial applications. However, the codon usage in E. coli and the absence ofpost-translational modifications, such as glycosylation, phosphorylation, and proteolytic processing, limit its use for the production of slightly complex recombinant biopharmaceuticals. Several new technological advancements in the E. coli expression system to meet the biotechnology industry requirements have been made, such as novel engineered strains, genetically modifying E. coli to possess capability to glycosylate heterologous proteins an express complex proteins, including full-length glycosylated antibodies. This review summarizes the recent advancements that may further expand the use of the E. coli expression system to produce more complex and also glycosylated proteins for therapeutic use in the future.
