        The clinical outcomes of fresh versus frozen embryos transfer in women ≥40 years with poor ovarian response

        ObjectiveTo compare the clinical outcomes of fresh embryo transfers (ETs) and frozen-thawed embryo transfers (FETs) after afreeze-all cycle in women ≥40 years old with poor ovarian response (POR). MethodsWe performed a single-center, retrospective, case-control study of patients who underwent in vitro fertilizationbetween January 2014 and June 2019. We included a total of 192 patients aged 40 years or older from whom 3 orfewer oocytes had been retrieved and who were receiving cleavage-stage ET in this study. Of these patients, 101 and91 patients underwent fresh ET and FET, respectively. The primary outcome was the live birth rate (LBR) after thefirst ET. Logistic regression analysis was used to compare the IVF outcomes and neonatal characteristics between thefresh ET and FET groups, adjusting for maternal age, body mass index, luteinizing hormone, and the number of goodquality embryos transferred. ResultsThe mean maternal ages and number of oocytes retrieved (43.2 years and 2.3 in both groups, P=0.902 and P=0.927,respectively) were similar in the fresh ET and FET groups. No significant difference was observed between the LBRsof the fresh ET and FET groups (adjusted odds ratio, 1.28; 95% confidence interval, 0.29–5.70). The clinical pregnancyand miscarriage rates, and neonatal characteristics (birth weights and premature infant rates) were similar betweenthe 2 groups. ConclusionsFET after the freeze-all strategy had no beneficial impact on the clinical outcomes of women ≥40 years with POR.

        Visual Fatigue Reduction Based on Depth Adjustment for DIBR System

        A depth adjustment method for visual fatigue reduction for depth-image-based rendering (DIBR) system is proposed. One important aspect of the method is that no calibration parameters are needed for adjustment. By analyzing 3D image warping, the perceived depth is expressed as a function of three adjustable parameters: virtual view number, scale factor and depth value of zero parallax setting (ZPS) plane. Adjusting these three parameters according to the proposed parameter modification algorithm when performing 3D image warping can effectively change the perceived depth of stereo pairs generated in DIBR system. As the depth adjustment is performed in simple 3D image warping equations, the proposed method is facilitative for hardware implementation. Experimental results show that the proposed depth adjustment method provides an improvement in visual comfort of stereo pairs as well as generating comfortable stereoscopic images with different perceived depths that people desire.

      • Simulation Analysis on Hysteretic Performance of Cross-type Rigid Node for Steel Frame Based on Abaqus

        In order to study the cross-type rigid steel frame node hysteretic behavior of components, the axial compression ratio, H type steel column web thickness, girder section and stiffener as design parameters, 8 steel frame cross-type rigid joints and a T-type rigid joint are designed. Based on simplified mechanical model and constitutive relations of material, using ABAQUS software the corresponding finite element model is established and the hysteretic performance analysis is carried out. Through comparison between given T-type node test results and analysis results, both are in good agreement, thus the rationality of the finite element model established in this paper is verified. Simulation analysis of cross-type node is developed in further, load -displacement hysteretic curve of nodes, skeleton curve, envelope figure and the stress nephogram are extracted and comparative analysis is conducted, influence regularity of four parameters on the seismic behavior of the joints is obtained. The corresponding design suggestion for the axial compression ratio and column web and flange thickness ratio is proposed, design limit value of axial compression ratio of column should be taken as 0.5 and limit value of column web and flange thickness ratio is taken as 0.75,and these can provide reference for actual engineering design.

        Image saliency detection based on geodesic‐like and boundary contrast maps

        Image saliency detection is the basis of perceptual image processing, which is significant to subsequent image processing methods. Most saliency detection methods can detect only a single object with a high‐contrast background, but they have no effect on the extraction of a salient object from images with complex low‐contrast backgrounds. With the prior knowledge, this paper proposes a method for detecting salient objects by combining the boundary contrast map and the geodesics‐like maps. This method can highlight the foreground uniformly and extract the salient objects efficiently in images with low‐contrast backgrounds. The classical receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curve, which compares the salient map with the ground truth map, does not reflect the human perception. An ROC curve with distance (distance receiver operating characteristic, DROC) is proposed in this paper, which takes the ROC curve closer to the human subjective perception. Experiments on three benchmark datasets and three low‐contrast image datasets, with four evaluation methods including DROC, show that on comparing the eight state‐of‐the‐art approaches, the proposed approach performs well.

        Paired Hayman conjecture and uniqueness of complex delay-differential polynomials

        In this paper, the paired Hayman conjecture of different types are considered, namely, the zeros distribution of $f(z)^{n}L(g)-a(z)$ and $g(z)^{n}L(f)-a(z)$, where $L(h)$ takes the derivatives $h^{(k)}(z)$ or the shift $h(z+c)$ or the difference $h(z+c)-h(z)$ or the delay-differential $h^{(k)}(z+c)$, where $k$ is a positive integer, $c$ is a non-zero constant and $a(z)$ is a non-zero small function with respect to $f(z)$ and $g(z)$. The related uniqueness problems of complex delay-differential polynomials are also considered.

        Hole-filling Based on Disparity Map for DIBR

        Due to sharp depth transition, big holes may be found in the novel view that is synthesized by depth-image-based rendering (DIBR). A hole-filling method based on disparity map is proposed. One important aspect of the method is that the disparity map of destination image is used for hole-filling, instead of the depth image of reference image. Firstly, the big hole detection based on disparity map is conducted, and the start point and the end point of the hole are recorded. Then foreground pixels and background pixels are distinguished for hole-dilating according to disparity map, so that areas with matching errors can be determined and eliminated. In addition, parallaxes of pixels in the area with holes and matching errors are changed to new values. Finally, holes are filled with background pixels from reference image according to these new parallaxes. Experimental results show that the quality of the new view after hole-filling is quite well; and geometric distortions are avoided in destination image, in contrast to the virtual view generated by depth-smoothing methods and image inpainting methods. Moreover, this method is easy for hardware implementation.

        Copper and Bacterial Diversity in Soil Enhance Paeonol Accumulation in Cortex Moutan of Paeonia suffruticosa ‘Fengdan’

        The effects of environmental factors on the paeonol accumulation in cortex moutan of herbal Paeonia suffruticosa cv. Fengdan were investigated. Cortex moutan of ‘Fengdan’ and the corresponding soil samples were collected from Tongling (Anhui Province, China). A pot experiment was also conducted to investigate the responses of plant growth and paeonol concentrations to copper (Cu) supply. The paeonol and Cu concentrations in cortex moutan samples, the basic soil properties and soil’s bacterial diversity were analyzed. The results showed that moderate levels of Cu in the soil enhanced the paeonol concentration in the cortex moutan. Moreover, the paeonol concentration was related significantly to soil bacterial diversity. The results of the pot experiment showed that increasing Cu supply from 63 to 263 mg·kg-1 did not produce any significant effect on the dry weight of ‘Fengdan’ cortex moutan,duramen, and total plant. Increasing Cu supply significantly increased the concentrations of paeonol in cortex moutan and duramen; but at 263 mg·kg-1 Cu there was a slight decline in their concentrations than those obtained at 156mg·kg-1 Cu. In all treatments, the concentrations of paeonol were much higher in the cortex moutan than those in the duramen. Due to its ecological benefits, ‘Fengdan’ can be planted in soil contaminated with moderate Cu.

        Inhibition of MicroRNA-15a/16 Expression Alleviates Neuropathic Pain Development through Upregulation of G Protein-Coupled Receptor Kinase 2

        There is accumulating evidence that microRNAs are emerging as pivotal regulators in the development and progression of neuropathic pain. MicroRNA-15a/16 (miR-15a/16) have been reported to play an important role in various diseases and inflammation response processes. However, whether miR-15a/16 participates in the regulation of neuroinflammation and neuropathic pain development remains unknown. In this study, we established a mouse model of neuropathic pain by chronic constriction injury (CCI) of the sciatic nerves. Our results showed that both miR-15a and miR-16 expression was significantly upregulated in the spinal cord of CCI rats. Downregulation of the expression of miR-15a and miR-16 by intrathecal injection of a specific inhibitor significantly attenuated the mechanical allodynia and thermal hyperalgesia of CCI rats. Furthermore, inhibition of miR-15a and miR-16 downregulated the expression of interleukin-1β and tumor-necrosis factor-αin the spinal cord of CCI rats. Bioinformatic analysis predicted that G protein-coupled receptor kinase 2 (GRK2), an important regulator in neuropathic pain and inflammation, was a potential target gene of miR-15a and miR-16. Inhibition of miR-15a and miR-16 markedly increased the expression of GRK2 while downregulating the activation of p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase and NF-κB in CCI rats. Notably, the silencing of GRK2 significantly reversed the inhibitory effects of miR-15a/16 inhibition in neuropathic pain. In conclusion, our results suggest that inhibition of miR-15a/16 expression alleviates neuropathic pain development by targeting GRK2. These findings provide novel insights into the molecular pathogenesis of neuropathic pain and suggest potential therapeutic targets for preventing neuropathic pain development.

      • Optimization Design of Network Structure for WSN Data Collection Design Based on Delay Perception

        In order to solve such problems as large delay and large energy consumption in current wireless sensor network (WSN) during data collection, a network structure for WSN data collection based on delay perception is designed in this article. Firstly, the tree structure thought is introduced therein to divide WSN sensor nodes into multiple single-layer clusters with different sizes so as to construct a new network structure, thus to improve the topological structure and enable the cluster heads to complete the data communication in an interlaced mode as well as significantly reduce the delay during data collection; secondly, the model for calculating the delay and the energy consumption during WSN data collection is established in this article; thirdly, Top-Down technology is introduced therein to design the network structure formation algorithm, thus to optimize the energy consumption of the data collection mechanism through the communication distance minimization. The experiment shows: compared with existing network structure for WSN data collection, the proposed network structure can not only effectively reduce the delay during WSN data collection, but also maintain the whole communication energy consumption at a relatively low level.
