Human sterile α motif and HD domain-containing protein 1 (SAMHD1) has deoxyribonucleoside triphosphohydrolase (dNTPase) activity that allows it to defend against human immunodeficiency virus type I (HIV-1) infections and regulate the cell cycle. Although SAMHD1 mutations have been identified in various cancer types, their role in cancer is unclear. Here, we aimed to investigate the oncogenic role of SAMHD1 in human clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), particularly as a core molecule promoting cancer cell migration. We found that SAMHD1 participated in endocytosis and lamellipodia formation. Mechanistically, SAMHD1 contributed to the formation of the endosomal complex by binding to cortactin. Thereafter, SAMHD1-stimulated endosomal focal adhesion kinase (FAK) signaling activated Rac1, which promoted lamellipodia formation on the plasma membrane and enhanced the motility of ccRCC cells. Finally, we observed a strong correlation between SAMHD1 expression and the activation of FAK and cortactin in tumor tissues obtained from patients with ccRCC. In brief, these findings reveal that SAMHD1 is an oncogene that plays a pivotal role in ccRCC cell migration through the endosomal FAK-Rac1 signaling pathway.

Smart Connected Product (SCP) is one domain of ISO, which requires an efficient and effective data quality management process. Data of high quality is vital for SCPs to function properly. We discussed in detail the important issues in data quality, specifically for SCP application domain. For data processing part of ISO 8000-61, this paper proposed a process reference parts. We also identified a fault management process for data processing. The paper includes the different reflections of IoT based data quality characteristics. Lastly, we indicated the ways forward to resolve the issue of too many process capability indicators in ISO 8000-62.

SCP (Smart, Connected Product) 운영시 개별 센서나 디바이스에서 스트리밍 데이터가 대량으로 시스템으로 입력되며 비즈니스 데이터 및 외부 데이터와 통합되어 사용된다. 이러한 통합된 데이터를 IoT데이터라고 한다. 고객에게 SCP 의 우수한 운영 능력을 제공하기 위해서는 운영 전반에 걸쳐 고품질의 IoT 데이터가 필수적이다. 고품질의 IoT데이터를 유지하기 위해서는, 센서 데이터를 분석하고 센서/시스템 오류의 잘못된 데이터를 제거하는 데이터 중심 접근 방식만으로는 충분하지 않다. 높은 IoT 데이터 품질을 일관되게 유지하기 위해서 프로세스 중심 접근 방식이 필요하다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 IoT데이터 품질 향상을 위해 SCP운영 프로세스에 필요한 데이터품질관리 프로세스를 제시한다. 첫째 SCP가 운영되는 클라우드 환경, SCP운영 프로세스 범위, IoT 유형을 제시한다. 둘째, IoT 환경에서 필요한 SCP 운영 프로세스를 정의한다. 마지막으로 SCP 운영 프로세스와 데이터 품질관리 프로세스간의 통합 방안을 제시한다. 여기서는 ISO 8000-61에서 정의한 데이터 품질관리 프로세스 참조모델을 기반으로 통합하는 대안들을 제시한다.

Large amount of data is one of the most drastic character of IoT environment. And there are many types of data including streaming data also in IoT. Considering data quality in IoT environment, we need to identify such characteristics. Identification of data quality characteristics is the basic of data quality improvement. This paper deals with characteristics affecting data quality: plentiful in amount, diversity in structure, distributed in location, continuous in time, uncertain in circumstances, erroneous in connectivity and so on. Comparison of IoT and non-IoT data quality characteristics are mentioned.
Downlink Vertical Beamforming Designs for Active Antenna Systems

<P>In this paper, we study a vertical beamforming technique for multiple-input multiple-output downlink multi-user systems. In general, the transmit antenna gain is controlled by adjusting the boresight of antennas in directional antennas, and thus the cell average rate varies according to the angle of the boresight. First, we compute the tilting angles for directional antenna systems which maximize the cell average rate. To this end, the probability density function of a three-dimensional user distribution is derived. Based on the result, we analyze the average rate gain of active antenna systems over passive antenna systems for a single user case. Furthermore, for a multi-user active antenna system, beamforming designs to maximize the weighted sum rate are proposed by optimizing the transmit antenna gain and power allocation. Since finding joint optimal parameters requires prohibitively high computational complexity, we separate the optimization problem into two sub-problems of the vertical beamforming and the power allocation. Then a simple vertical beamforming algorithm based on a high signal-to-noise ratio assumption is presented. Also, for a multi-user passive antenna system, we provide a beamforming scheme based on a multi-sector concept. Simulation results show that the proposed beamforming schemes outperform the conventional beamforming schemes.</P>
