        This paper aims at providing a concrete plan to improve technical and vocational teacher education in the College of Industrial Education of Chungnam National University. It is intended to propose a practical four-year regular and short-term course. Also, the estimated required facilities is included in this study as well as their management. The main conclusions and recommendations are summarized as follows; 1) The numbers of students enrollment should be reduced to 220 students which is the approximate number of future demand. 2) In order to offer to the students a broader education and to cope with the increase/decrease in demand of technical and vocational teacher within a specific field, the 8 department existing at the present (Department of Architecture Engineering Education, Civil Eng. Educ., Metallurgical Eng. Educ., Mechanical Eng. .Educ., Electrical Eng. Educ., Electronic Eng. Educ., Industrial Chemistry Educ. and Industrial Technology Educ.) would be combined into 5 (Department of Construction Engineering Education, Mechanical Eng. Educ., Electrical Eng. Educ., Industrial Chemistry Educ. and Industrial Technology Educ.). 3) The short-term course program is recommened to provide additional training and education to those candidates who already have experience in technical fields to meet an occasional demand. 4) It is necessary to add the Teaching Profession Section in the administrative organization of the College.

        성공적인 한국 기업집단의 경영체제 특성과 미래 방향 모색

        본 논문에서는 세계적인 경쟁력을 가진 한국 기업집단의 경영체제를 분석함으로써, 경영체제상의 한국 기업의 성공요인을 찾아내고, 이를 바탕으로 한국 기업의 경영체제가 지향할 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 먼저 한국기업의 경영체제 특성을 연구하기 위한 핵심주제와 그 현상특성에 대해 개관하였고, 이를 기반으로 사례연구의 분석관점을 구성했다. 사례연구는 세계적인 경쟁력을 갖춘 한국 기업집단인 삼성그룹, 현대기아차그룹, 포스코그룹을 대상으로 수행했다. 사례연구를 바탕으로 한국의 대표적 기업집단이 세계적인 기업집단으로 도약하는데 기여한 경영체제상의 세 가지 특성을 도출하였다. 첫째, 세계적인 기업을 만들겠다는 원대한 비전과 강렬한 의지를 가지고 있으면서도 동시에 주력사업의 핵심성공요소를 잘 이해한 뛰어난 그룹 최고결정권자가 존재했다는 점, 둘째, 이들이 장기간 기업을 이끌면서 막강한 권한을 행사할 수 있도록 지배기반을 제공한 계열사간 복합적인 소유구조와 계열사간 관계를 유지할 수 있었다는 점, 셋째, 그룹 최고결정권자의 리더십 및 소유구조 특성에 적합한 그룹경영시스템을 구축하여 그룹 임직원들의 역량을 결집해 나갔다는 점 등을 들 수 있다. 이들 사례가 다른 한국기업에 던지는 시사점으로 본 연구에서는 주력사업의 핵심성공요소를 잘 이해하면서도 세계 일류기업을 만들겠다는 강한 의지를 가진 최고결정권자의 육성과 검증, 장기적인 관점에서의 비전경영, 조직의 각 부문과 임직원들이 그룹 최고결정권자의 강한 의지에 맞게 행동하도록 하는 그룹경영 시스템의 구축이 필요하다는 점을 제시하였다. This paper aims to identify the success factors in the governance systems of Korean corporate groups and suggests the future directions of the governance systems of Korean firms by analyzing three successful Korean corporate groups: Samsung, Hyundai-Kia Motors, and POSCO. In order to analyze their governance structures, we developed a two-by-two matrix framework to identify their key governance system characteristics. In one dimension, we distinguish non-Chaebol corporate groups from Chaebol type. In the other dimension, we identify vertically-integrated corporate groups with a single core business from diversified corporate groups with multiple core businesses. Samsung group is a Chaebol type corporate group with multiple core businesses, while Hyundai-Kia Motors group is a Chaebol type corporate group with a single core business. POSCO group is a non-Chaebol corporate group with a single core business. Then, we describe the governance systems of each corporate group in detail. We collected data mainly by interviewing multiple executives of those groups. Samsung group is the largest and most successful Korean corporate group so far. It has grown very fast and has become a world-class corporate group under the leadership of group Chairman Kun-Hee Lee. Key characteristics of Samsung’s governance system can be summarized as follows. First, the role of Chairman Lee has been critical in Samsung’s success in the global market. He had a very strong will to transform Samsung into a world-class corporate group, provided an audacious vision to organizational members of the Samsung group, and suggested basic direction to transform the group by using his business insight. He directed the group with a long-term vision and deep understanding of the critical success factors of Samsung’s major businesses. Chairman Lee’s vision has been implemented by a very powerful group headquarters and by professional managers. The group headquarters coordinates and integrates decisions of affiliate companies to pursue group level optimization. The headquarters exerts a strong influence on nominating directors and executives of affiliate companies, and is involved in major investment decisions of the affiliates. Executives of affiliate companies are nominated on the basis of their own performance as well as of the performance of the organizational unit they work for. Monetary compensation of organizational members is very tightly linked with business performance and thus the incentives of stockholders, executives, and the rank-and-file are tightly aligned. This tight incentive alignment helps Samsung concentrate efforts of its employees to achieve the vision of Chairman Lee. The Hyundai-Kia Motors group has emerged as a major player in world automobile industry under the leadership of Chairman Mong-Ku Chung. Similar to Samsung’s Chairman Lee, Chairman Chung had a very strong will to build up a world-class automobile corporate group, provided an audacious vision, and dictated the quality improvement as the most important success factor in the automobile industry. While Chairman Lee delegates most of his decisions to professional managers in Samsung, Chairman Chung remains involved in major decisions of his affiliate companies. Chairman Chung has practiced “management by wandering around.” He has frequently visited major places of his concern and checks whether his vision is being properly implemented. Group headquarters does not play a major role in group-level governance in this group but provide decision support services to Chairman Chung and the CEOs of affiliate companies. While a very large portion of executives in affiliate companies of Samsung group are trained in managerial functions such as finance, accounting, human resources management, and auditing, the majority of executives in the Hyundai-Kia Motors group are trained in assembly, quality control, sales and marketing, and R&D.

      • 폭풍발생에 따른 해안단면변화에 관한 수치해석

        폭풍발생에 다른 해안단면의 변화를 예측하는 것은 해안선 변화에 대한 종합적인 대책을 수립하는데 있어 중요한 역할을 한다. 해안단면변화는 주로 해빈의 유사이송에 에 의해 발생되나, 유사이송은 유사의 입경, 수면상승높이, 쇄파고 등 많은 요소들에 의해 복합적으로 작용하기 때문에 현재에도 정확한 예측이 어려운 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 해안단면에서의 평형에너지소산개념을 수치모델에 도입하여 폭풍발생에 따른 안층방향의 해안단면변화와 해빈침식에 대하여 분석하여 보았다. 안층방향의 해안단면변화와 해빈침식은 평형단면 파라미터, 유사이송률 파라미터, 수면상승높이에 의해 크게 영향을 받음을 알 수 있다. A numerical model is applied for predicting variation of the beach profile and beach erosion during storms. Equation of sediment continuity and dynamic equation, governing on-offshore sediment transport due to a disequilibrium of wave energy dissipation, are used in the model. During a storm, the beach profile evolves to a form where the depth at the surf zone is related to the distance seaward of the waterline. In general, variation of the beach profile is found to be sensitive to the equilibrium profile parameter, the sediment transport rate parameter and the elevated water level. Also, the model response characteristics in the simulation of beach erosion show a lag between the maximum storm surge elevation and the maximum erosion.

        This report outlines a ten-year(1976-1986) academic and physical development plan of Jeonbug National University. It was prepared over a period of ten months from April, 1976, to February, 1977, by a committee of five professors under the supervision of Dr. Chong Soon Lee. For a final report, the committee not only reviewed the past trend and patterns in the University's development and its present structures and conditions, both academic and physical, but also constantly consulted with Dr. Chong Supp Shim, president, the faculty, and experts in the field through meetings and questionaires. Consultation with them was paticularly needed in envisioning the future directions and possibilities for developing the University. The report presented here is a version revised and approved by the deans council of the University. Since its foundation in 1951, Jeonbug National University has grown from a small provincial institution into a full-scale national university. It now comprises seven colleges and three graduate schools, the students currently enrolled numbering around 5,500 and the faculty and administrative staff consisting of 750 employees. In keeping with the rapid growth of the nation and the governmental emphasis on developing provincial universities, the University is expected within ten years to develop into an academic institution consisting of eight colleges and six graduate schools. The number of undergraduate departments will increase from 40 to 61, and the number of students in attendance will amount to 10,000. In order to cope with this rapid increase in the number of departments and students, the academic plan of this report preseents a time-table of setting up new departments and makes a proposal for restructuring the University's academic and administrative systems. It also recommends that with the inception of the Research Foundation research activities will be systemitized and coordinated around ten major research institutes at the University. The physical development plan of the University has been in urgent need. The planning committe laid out a road construction plan mapping the entrances and major traffic routes on the campus. It also made proposals as to future building sites, centering around the central library under construction. The Medical School and its hospital, now in downtown Jeonju, are planned to be built on the 2nd campus east of the main campus. The University High School is also planned to move to the eastern part of the main campus. Besides the further construction of classroom and laboratory buildings, the University plans to construct an auditorium, an audio-visual center, a museum, a gymnasium, a new administration building, and other facilities. For the completion of these buildings, the estimated cost will amount to 200 billion won in total.

      • 폭풍시 사구의 침식각에 따른 해안단면의 침식에 관한 연구

        This EDUNE model developed by Kriebel was used for predicting storm-induced beach and dune erosion due to elevated water levels and waves. This model was based on the convolution integral involving a erosion-force function and an exponential erosion-response function. This numerical model adopted the equation of sediment continuity and a dynamic equation governing the cross-shore sediment transport due to a disequilibrium of wave energy dissipation levels. These equations are solved numerically by an implicit, double-sweep method to obtain the changes in position of elevation contours in the profile. In this study, the changes of a beach profile and dune erosion have been simulated for varying the dune erosion angle due to storm. The range of angle was 0.1~0.4 radian. It is shown that erosion rate is increasing according to the decrease of erosion angle.

      • 이온교환법에 의한 고분자전해질형 연료전지용 전극의 제조와 특성 고찰

        고분자전해질형 연료전지용 전극의 백금 이용률을 높이기 위해 촉매제조시 이온교환법을 이용하여 백금을 carbon에 담지하고 이에 따른 전지성능변화를 고찰하였다. 전극제조시 Nafion이 첨가되지 않은 경우 이온교환양이 증가함에 따라 전기화학적인 활성이 증가하여 전지성능이 증가하였다. 전극제조시 Nafion이 첨가된 경우, Nafion첨가량이 증가함에 따라 전지성능은 증가하였는 데 Nafin첨가에 의해 이온교환되지 않은 백금이 전기화학적인 활성을 가지게 되어 전지성능은 증가하였다. To improve platinum utilization of PEMFC(Proton exchange membrane fuel cell) electrode, in preparing catalytic powder, platinum was impregnated on carbon by ion exchange method and its cell performance was investigated. When electrode was prepared without adding Nafion solution, as Nafion pre-impregnated amount was increased, electrochemically active area and cell performance was increased. When electrode was prepared with Nafion solution, increase of adding Nafion amount was improvement of cell performance. By adding Nafion at preparation of electrode, non ion-exchange platinum was shown electrochemical activity, cell performance was improved.

        분뇨처리장의 공정개선에 의한 처리효율 향상에 관한 연구

        There is a need to improve the efficiency of the existing sanitary treatment facilities, because the effluent standard becomes more stricter and septic sludge increased. Thus, operating processes of sanitary treatment system in M city changed with installation of additional facilities. Process modifications were as follows: Dilution water was added to the next process after primary aeration tank. Some secondary sedimentation sludge was recycled to primary aerator so that most of the organics were stabilized in primary aeration tank under automatic control of dissolved oxygen. The line of effluent from dewatering process flowing to the activated sludge tank was changed to the primary aerator. The primary sedimentation sludge line was linked to a thickener. Polymer was added to the activated sludge tank. The effluent of primary aerator and aerobic digester was recycled from the 5th to the 1st sector. As consequencies of above process modifications, the improvement of removal efficiency was achieved as BOD 54%, COD 42%, SS 61%, T-N 39%, and T-P 12%, respectively.

        Rural of Koreas has rapidly changed through the process of industrialization and urbanization. During past 30 years, development differences between urban and rural, metroplitan area and area derived from a highly economic growth, bring about dual specialization that deepens overpopulation and sparsity. Therefore, with a new concern about rural, necessity of rural development policy that developes a settlement and life area for settlement for ensuing stablized settlement and living activity of rural people, has been drived step by step. For rural welfare establishment that is settled and good hereafter, this study aims at attempting a theoretical approach about the way of development for rural settlement as a new rural development strategy through examination of today's rural reality, under assumption that rural people must be able to obtain stable jobs and to be pleasant without leaving rural area, and rural settlement to be able to enjoy urban advantages must be realized. Therefore, items that must be obtained basically rural area to be a human settlement space are equipment connected with a dwelling house, production, consumption, job relaxation, infrastructure connected with transportation or communication network and environment. By the way, the best function of a human settlement space makes a basic pleasant settlement area to be in the middle of that. Then rationalization of land use must be realized as being a best condition for human life around space of a dewelling house. Besides, spacial accessibility about all equipment of inhabitants must be easy. That is, economic distance, social distance and cultural distance as well as spacial distance must be included. Also, those spacial functions must be realized on a basis of suitable enironment for a human settlement life. At the same tiem, the upper area must be connected with the lower area as the system of spacial settlement in settlement space. But truely, as rural people can't satisfy with services of the surrounding rural areas, they desire better city or metroplitan. The these problems bring about inequality between urban and rural. Therefore, here are urgent reasons that must be done rearing of rural central town and rural integrated development of unit area. So, these dys, to correct maldistribution of land use and inequality of settlement space that Korean society faces on, new strategies of rural integrated development for lift area for settlement than gives the meaning. That rural areas become like a place for human settlement life will be able to be chosen in the view of humanism. The say of thinking of rural residents(Jukans-myun, Anseong-gun, Kyeonggi-do) was surveyed in order to develop new rural settlement planning. From the data collected in this survey, rural life-style, view on traditional rural life, agriculture, farming, agri-policy, social attitude, and degree of satifaction of rural life, etc, were analyzed. Firstly, most of rural residents interviewed in this survey have the opinion of not leaving their home village if living conditions improved to a reasonable level in the near future. In decision-making process of village affairs, they want to participate actively and equally. Secondly, in spite of their acceptance of agriculture as a vital sector destined to national security, most of them think that framing should be little of promise. Thirdly, they have the negative attitude to urban-oriented social valued and also to the agricultural policy, while seeking consolation through human and traditional viewing of rural life style. Therefore, in the development of new rural settlement model, idea-making should be directed to the betterment of communal value of village life, stability of rural economy, rationalization of rural life style and enhancement of rural-type happiness.

      • 인진사령산이 肝細胞活性, 細胞週期 및 Fas-mediated apoptosis에 미치는 影響

        To evaluate the effects of Injinsaryungsan on cell viability, cell cycle progression, and Fas-mediated apotosis, MTT assay, cell cycle analysis, PCNA expression analysis and tryphan blue exclusion assay, flow cytometry, Cpp32 protease assay, DNA fragmemtation assay were performed. And for quantitative evaluation of gene expression, we performed RT-PCR. The results were as followed. 1. In MTT assay, Injinsaryungsan treatment increases cellular viability of the cells and this increase showed strong correlation with the treatment doses of Injinsaryungsan. 2. Cell cycle analysis showed a significant reduction of G₁phase, and PCNA analysis showed that cell cycle progression of the HepG2 cells is positively regulated by Injinsaryungsan. And a dosage-and time-dependent induction of PCNA expression was recognized. 3. Using tryphan blue exclusion, flow cytometric analysis of sub G₁phase, a significant and dosage-dependent reduction of apoptosis were observed in Injinsaryungsan-treated cells compared to untreated control cells. 4. DNA fragmentation assay showed significantly reduction of DNA fragmentation in Injinsaryungsan-treated cells, decreases of CPP32 protease activities were observed in CPP32 protease assay. Which indicates that Injinsaryungsan carry inhibitory effects on apoptosis. 5. A quantitative RT-PCR analysis demonstrated that Fas and CPP32 mRNA expression were dramatically reduced and Bcl-2, Bcl-X?? mRNA expression were induced by the treatment of Injinsaryungsan while expression of Fadd, Fap-1, and ICE were not affected by Injinsaryungsan. These results implies that Injinsaryungsan increase hepatocyte viability, cell cycle progression and protect hepatocyte from damage by regulating the expression of genes associated with Fas-mediated apoptosis, which explains the mechanism of the clinical effect of Injinsaryungsan on liver diseases.
