        Silaethene Cl₂Si=CHCH₂?Bu 1, generated as a reaction intermediate by the thermal elimination of LiX from Cl₃SiCHLiCH₂?Bu 2, combines with ene-component containing compounds(propene, 2-methylpropene, DMB) to give 40∼90% yield ene-products. They can be isolated and spectroscopic identified.

      • 다이옥신으로 유발된 생쥐의 조혈모세포 증식장애에서 Oligonucleotide-Microarray를 이용한 유전자표식자의 발굴

        To develop the biomarkers for the immune dysfunction induced by dioxin, 2, 3, 7, 8-TCDD was administered C57BL/6N mice 0.1㎍ TCDD/㎏ body weight. Colony forming assay showed that the proliferation potential of hemotopoieti progenitor cells in bone marrow was reduced 35-55% more by earlier exposure. The microarray experiments were duplicated, and the candidates were restricted for the genes expressed greater than 121-fold. Resulting candidates were 55 genes. The expression patterns of the whole genes were analyzed by self-organizing maps (SOM). From these results, we selected the stage-specific genes : one genes (SOM c21 : nadh dehydrogenase subunit 5 gene) for gestational 13.5day, 13 genes (c0 : sialophorin ; spn gene, etc) for postnatal 3 week. The above genes are proposed to be a potential use of biomarker for dioxin exposure in the case of immume dysfunctions. 내분비교란물질로 가장 잘 알려진 다이옥신에 의한 면역장애는 면역기관이 성숙된 후에 나타나므로 다이옥신의 노출에 의한 것인지 인과관계의 평가가 매우 어렵다. Dioxin ( 2, 3, 7, 8-TCDD)에 의한 면역기능의 저하 및 그 재표 유전자를 발굴하기 위해, C57BL/6 생쥐에서 임신 및 발생 성장 시기별로 dioxin을 노출하였다. 면역지표로서 골수 혈액줄기세포의 집락 형성이 현저하게(35~55%) 감소하였다. 말초혈액에서 유전자 발현의 변화를 생쥐용 고밀도(11K) oligonucleotide microarray로 측정하였고, 각 시기별로 대변이 가능한 유전자는 Selforganization maps (SOM) clustering으로 분석하였다. Biomarker로서 유용성을 위해 2회 반복하여 공통된 유전자를 선택하였고, 이 중 유전자 발현의 변동 폭이 2 이상 되는 유전자를 선택한 결과 55개를 고를 수 있었다. 시기별 대변이 가능한 SOM과 그 결과가 서로 일치하는 유전자는 임신 1305일에서 SOM c21인 1개(nadh dehydrogenase subunit 5), 생후 3주에서 c0 유전자 10개와 c16 유전자 3개(c0 : sialophorin ; spn 외 9개, c16 : ribosomal protein 113a ; rp113a 외 2개)를 발굴할 수 있었다. 다이옥신에 의한 면역 장애 및 노출 영향을 평가하는 biomarker로 사용할 수 있음을 알았다.

        The real-time simulation means that calculation method of the state expressed an object on real time. The real-time simulation calculates motion of objects on real time using the solutions as the model based physics, equation of motion, differential equation, etc. while the animation makes use of joined stationary image continuously. By the development of technology, the real-time simulation based on physics is being watched with keen interest. This paper makes researches into the technology of physics simulation on game using the real-time simulation based on physics and the mathematical method.

        명암도 작용 길이에 따른 연삭 숫돌면의 이상 현상 분류

        The grinding process plays a key role which decides the quality of a product finally. But the grinding process is very irregular, so it is very difficult to analyse the process accurately. Therefore it is very important in the aspect of precision and automation to reduce the idle time and to decide the proper dressing time by matching. In this study, we choose the method which can be observed directly by using of computer vision and then apply pattern classification technique to the method of measuring the wheel surface. Pattern classification technique is proper to analyse complicated surface image. We observe the change of the wheel surface by using of the gray level run length which are representative in this technique.

        Echogenic Mass Lesion within the Main Pulmonary Artery in a Neonate

        Here we present a rare case of pulmonary arterial thrombosis associated with a ductus arteriosus aneurysm that caused severe pulmonary stenosis. A 5-day-old newborn was admitted to our hospital for the evaluation of an intracardiac mass-like lesion found after the detection of a cardiac murmur. Echocardiography and heart computed tomography revealed a mass-like lesion measuring 8.1 mm in diameter across the distal main pulmonary artery to the proximal left pulmonary artery resulting in localized severe stenosis of the left pulmonary artery. Left pulmonary artery angioplasty for surgical resection of the thrombus revealed that the mass was adherent to the proximal part of the left pulmonary artery anterior wall and extended to the ductus arteriosus. Histological examination of the mass showed an old thrombus with dystrophic calcification. Five months after surgery, follow-up echocardiography showed that the left pulmonary artery peak pressure gradient had decreased but the proximal left pulmonary artery stenosis remained. Cardiac catheterization and balloon angioplasty successfully relieved the pulmonary stenosis.

        8-Methoxypsoralen Induces Apoptosis by Upregulating p53 and Inhibits Metastasis by Downregulating MMP-2 and MMP-9 in Human Gastric Cancer Cells

        Furanocoumarin 8-methoxypsoralen (8-MOP) is the parent compound that naturally occurs in traditional medicinal plants used historically. 8-MOP has been employed as a photochemotherapeutic component of Psoralen + Ultraviolet A (PUVA) therapy for the treatment of vitiligo and psoriasis. Although the role of 8-MOP in PUVA therapy has been studied, little is known about the effects of 8-MOP alone on human gastric cancer cells. In this study, we observed anti-proliferative effect of 8-MOP in several human cancer cell lines. Among these, the human gastric cancer cell line SNU1 is the most sensitive to 8-MOP. 8-MOP treated SNU1 cells showed G1-arrest by upregulating p53 and apoptosis by activating caspase-3 in a dose-dependent manner, which was confirmed by loss-of-function analysis through the knockdown of p53-siRNA and inhibition of apoptosis by Z-VAD-FMK. Moreover, 8-MOPinduced apoptosis is not associated with autophagy or necrosis. The signaling pathway responsible for the effect of 8-MOP on SNU1 cells was confirmed to be related to phosphorylated PI3K, ERK2, and STAT3. In contrast, 8-MOP treatment decreased the expression of the typical metastasis-related proteins MMP-2, MMP-9, and Snail in a p53-independent manner. In accordance with the serendipitous findings, treatment with 8-MOP decreased the wound healing, migration, and invasion ability of cells in a dose-dependent manner. In addition, combination treatment with 8-MOP and gemcitabine was effective at the lowest concentrations. Overall, our findings indicate that oral 8-MOP has the potential to treat early human gastric cancer, with fewer side effects.

        Econazole Induces p53-Dependent Apoptosis and Decreases Metastasis Ability in Gastric Cancer Cells

        Econazole, a potent broad-spectrum antifungal agent and a Ca<sup>2+</sup> channel antagonist, induces cytotoxicity in leukemia cells and is used for the treatment of skin infections. However, little is known about its cytotoxic effects on solid tumor cells. Here, we investigated the molecular mechanism underlying econazole-induced toxicity in vitro and evaluated its regulatory effect on the metastasis of gastric cancer cells. Using the gastric cancer cell lines AGS and SNU1 expressing wild-type p53 we demonstrated that econazole could significantly reduce cell viability and colony-forming (tumorigenesis) ability. Econazole induced G0/G1 phase arrest, promoted apoptosis, and effectively blocked proliferation- and survival-related signal transduction pathways in gastric cancer cells. In addition, econazole inhibited the secretion of matrix metalloproteinase- 2 (MMP-2) and MMP-9, which degrade the extracellular matrix and basement membrane. Econazole also effectively inhibited the metastasis of gastric cancer cells, as confirmed from cell invasion and wound healing assays. The protein level of p53 was significantly elevated after econazole treatment of AGS and SNU1 cells. However, apoptosis was blocked in econazole-treated cells exposed to a p53-specific small-interfering RNA to eliminate p53 expression. These results provide evidence that econazole could be repurposed to induce gastric cancer cell death and inhibit cancer invasion.

        Change of Visual Perception in Geriatric Strokes after Visuomotor Coordination Training

        Objective To assess the effect of visuomotor coordination training on the visual perception of geriatric stroke patients. Method Thirty (n=30) cooperative geriatric stroke patients were randomly assigned into 2 groups. The control group received conventional rehabilitation therapy, and intervention group received additional visuomotor coordination training with Dynavision for 30 minutes a day, 3 times a week for 4 weeks. We assessed visual perception and functional status before and after intervention by measuring K-MMSE, K-MBI, K-DRS scores, and by conducting Computerized Neuropsychological Test (CNT) (Maxmedia, Seoul, Korea) 1) visual memory; visual span backward & forward, 2) visual attention; visual continuous performance test (correct response, reaction time), 3) visuomotor coordination; trail making A test. Results The intervention group showed significant improvement in visual attention (p<0.05). There was no significant difference in visual memory, visuomotor coordination and K-DRS (p>0.05). Both groups showed significant increase in K-MMSE and K-MBI scores (p<0.05), but there was no significant difference between the two groups (p>0.05). Conclusion Dynavision training improved the primary visual skill - visual attention, but did not improve higher order visual skills, such as visual memory, visuomotor coordination, cognition or functional performance in the elder stroke patients. Dynavision could be a useful tool for cognitive rehabilitation in patients with cognitive impairment and attention deficit by improving visual attention.
